Awesome job! Love the idea and gameplay.

Awesome job! Love the idea and gameplay.
Hilarious game! Very good job on the sound, and graphics!
Gravity is a bit snappy. Great job with the graphics and sound. You should be very proud!
Awesome sound effects! Gets really intense at the end. Fun too.
The mechanic of the screen fading out is super original! Love it!
Great game! I love the motion blur. Id love to learn some tips on them visuals! The music was also awesome!
Thank you very much Jupy and Merrol! :)
Good job Latch! Way better than my first jam ;) It was really fun and humorous
Really fun game. I have a soft spot for racing games, and I loved the car controls on the gamepad! Car audio was really great although I wished it eased out of the audio when you let off the gas. Idk if the car has suspension or something it just handled so smooth. I would actually like to see the code lol. I liked the idea of the blobs making your car heavier but for bonus points, however, the colliders didn't work well with the car and would jerk the camera every time I picked one up. Laughed really hard when my car went flying. Great game :)
Pretty cool game! The player movement was a bit jittery though, this may happen if you have your controls are in an Update loop rather than a FixedUpdate loop. It didn't really affect gameplay much though. I liked the ability to scare people but my scaring success didn't seem to go up the more things I bought. At least, it wasn't very noticeable. Good concept and I like that you went Halloween themed as we're getting close to Halloween :)
Thank you for your feedback. @monish-vyas It definitely is a hard game and I knew it was going to be harder for the average person pretty early in development, but was too far in to change anything. @yomissmar I can see how that could've been more clear, and thanks for the kind words! :) @xotsu I'm not sure how we could've made it "longer" when going with an infinite runner type game. But thank you for your kind words :)
@cdunham Yup for some reason the spike code never worked and I didn't have time to fix it. Yeah unity's default rigidbody system is pretty bad for satisfying controls. I applied velocity directly instead of using AddForce but that still seemed to be bottle-necked by the awful default rigidbody tunage. I also didn't have time for a nice tutorial as we added gameplay in the last few hours. Our other programmer, Dave, had no prior experience with unity so it was hard to organize things. Thanks for the review and thank you for your input :)
Thank you for your kind words @solah and @roka-josh! :)
@thevideogamester Ah yes the ground check was a bit glitchy and would sometimes cause you to not be able to jump if the collider was not labled correctly. Not sure where we will go with this TBH but thank you!
I liked the art. The enemies at the beginning seem to have a lot of health and deal a bit too much damage. It's not hard enough to encourage trying again and not easy enough to encourage progression. I would try tuning things to where its a challenge but fun. A lot was done during the 48 hours and I can see that as I have done 3 compos in the past. A lot of hard work was put into this and all in all I think its a good submission.
Nice game! All the small things you did made the game that much more enjoyable. Things like how the pizza boxes stack in your hands as you get more items to carry, and the cute little pizza clock. Nice jam submission :)
I think this idea was good and fit the theme well. I've been programming for years and I still wish the programming minigame was different. It should've been more puzzle-like rather than typing something into a whole chunk of code (even if it is like a fill in the blank if you get into it). Most people are not going to get past this part, and will get confused the second they see the code. But I see you have acknowledged that. I enjoyed the other mini games and for that I enjoyed your submission :)
P.S. Your title broke my computer (lol)
Nice little platformer. Your 2d box colliders seem to be way too big for their sprites, so I had trouble with some of the platforms. Other than that though you did a nice job! Loved the beginning.
@blondeman Ah. Simple solution for next time would be a 2D box collider on your walls with friction set to 0. Good info for next time. I haven't found a quick alternative solution, and I had the same exact problem with my game lol :)
I think you did a good job with the progression of things. I would add less trash spawning as the screen can get covered quite quickly. Good job :)
I always find that it's very hard to make a story game for Ludum Dare. You managed to execute it pretty well. It's always hard to make sure the story makes sense and gets increasingly difficult the longer it is. I think you did a good job at this and it made it into a great LD submission. Nice job :)
Pretty cool game. The audio when you're caught is actually kinda spooky lol. When I died there was a glitch where the audio kept looping and being weird. I like the concept and I think you did very well with the theme.
Great game! So many levels and its actually very well polished. I like the lack of instructions (maybe it should at least have something though to get you going but I know you were trying to go for the theme "start with nothing"). I love the amount of levels too! A lot of good stuff in here. Great jam!
I like the atmosphere. And there's a cool camera angle. Like everyone else has stated the high sensitivity made it nearly unplayable, but I had a few chuckles. :)
Nice game! Love the choice of audio (I was amazed at first before realizing you didn't make it, thanks for being honest and not including it in the results). Very cute art and love the Schrödinger's cat reference. Good job on this one :)
Fun platformer! It was pretty difficult once you got to the spikes due to the weird controls. I would've put jump as a different button than space in this instance due to it needing to be really precise. Love the audio and graphics, and the gameplay was much better than I had expected. Good job on this :)
Lol'd pretty hard. It is indeed a tree growing sim. Nice job with the scientific notation at the beginning too. Idk how I feel about the tree height pausing when you go back to tree view, but I can see how thatd be easier to program. Nice submission :)
Great game! The only gripe I have is the no skip intro button after losing. I loved the voicing and "The Limbo King has Failed us!" made me lol
The slapping fish sound coupled with the 2 frame animation of hand slappage produces infinite LOL's. Great job!
My first try I wasted all of my money on the O2 and I couldn't find enough coins to buy the flashlight lol. I thought the audio was good and the controls work really well! Good job :)
I did appreciate the cheese puns lol. The game would definitely do a lot better with some sound design but I understand time is a big factor. Good job :)
Like everyone has been mentioning the only thing is that the controls are a bit slow. However the air pocket implementation is super neat! Great submission :)
I think the flight controls were rather okay. I think they got a lot better once I actually unlocked the inertial dampeners. The game runs really great, being built Rust it has awesome performance. Sometimes when shooting things far away, it wouldn't register my lasers hitting it, that or I just have a very poor aim. All in all a very impressive submission.
Also for some reason I cant seem to figure out how to download the source code. On the Github release page, when I go to download the source code it just has a readme file.
@greg-the-egg Thanks so much Greg! @taximan981 Thank you so much! For the cutouts I just threw it in Blender and used the knife tool to cut it out so it looked more home-made :)
@crocodiletuesday Thank you! I'm glad I finally learned what diegetic buttons are. Definitely love using them! Adds a certain charm I enjoy!
@axeltherabbit gah I'm really sorry to hear that! Unity's new input system seems to have issues when building for linux. @kirbloid Thank you very much! I thoroughly enjoyed making the world! (I'm not sure how to describe the style but it's definitely odd and I think it worked well). @mikoziq I agree this is definitely a game to play at midnight LOL. Thank you very much for playing and the kind comments :)

Until next time!
Very impressive. Controls are great and the digging mechanic works super well!
I really liked the mood of this game. It reminds me a lot of games by Lucas Pope. The story is told not by a voice narration but by an interesting mechanic. Very nice sound design and art style. I'm a big fan of typing games and the drawing was a nice touch. :)
A bit confusing at first, but as I played I got a hang of the mechanics. Surprising the amount of complexity you were able to produce in a very short amount of time. Hats off to you - as the sound, graphics, and mechanics were all very well done.
Nice job! In rust too so its super smooth. I actually really like the idea of rapid failure at first but then you start to progress exponentially.
A little too real at times. Theme was met very well -- albeit horrifyingly.
I loved how you approached the theme! I think I broke my spacebar from the gaemplay though lol.
Nice feeling gameplay and I really liked the art. The "press F5 to restart the game" is too genius lol
The camera was a bit jarring but I loved picking up my Blender default cubes. Game is very nice looking stylistically and everything blends together really well. Animations are really nice as well.
This is a game I would play regularly if there were more levels. Which is saying a lot for me personally. I had a lot of fun and the music was super enjoyable and gave me a very nostalgic feeling (maybe I'm thinking back to ToonTown and that kind of music). If the controls were a little more polished this game would be next level! I also loved the rigidbody physics the coins had in your coin bag as you collected them.
Great graphics as well and thanks again for playing Saving Greg on stream, it made my day! :)
I loved the writing and pacing of the game. Those poor little turtles never saw it comin'!!!! I think I killed 90% of the sea life in your game. I'm a monster!
Game is nice! I wish it had a button that just went to the next level instead of sending you back to the menu. ~~and I found if I clicked back and forth quickly it would never register a hit~~ Other than that the graphics and sound are great! It's a fun, and clicky game :)
edit: After replaying, I think I just got really lucky, so, no bug there!
Very impressive submission. Nice graphics and the controls are nice and responsive. The only gripe I have with it (same as others have mentioned) is the enemies not blowing up. This game would be amazing if enemies were just a tad more satisfying to blow up. Great game though, my type of game as I love the "relax and just shoot things".
I had a lot of fun playing this one! Really satisfying how you can kind of line them all up and hit em all in a row. And when it gets later in the level and you use the mega attack -- really nice! This would be awesome to expand as maybe a rhythm game (better score the closer your notes are?). Great interpretation of the theme as well. My favorite submission I've played so far. Nicely done!
Cool Idea. Worked out well! :) Was more of a visualization of racing than actually racing, but I can see how the theme worked out. Good game.
I'm not sure why, but I can't seem to go into 2d mode when I hit space. Great audio though! I love the idea of having a simple guitar strum pattern when a new level is loaded.
Very cute game. Don't break your monitor though. Bugs can be frustrating sometimes but your poor monitor did nothing wrong :( Sometimes I feel the bombs spawned too much and the graphics need some work, but a good game for being done in 48 hours.
Thank you @raffe @James-Leib and @RilleP for playing and the wonderful responses! (I will play your games when I get home)
Thank you @McCordinator I definitely will check out your entry. And I finally found you! @Hi Im Greg
One of the best entries of seen hands down. Good job!
Really cool game. You get the hang of it fast, and fits with the theme well.
Solid pixel art and great music! The dying animation was so smooth! Good game.
Funny game! The plane's design with the anime eyes made me chuckle. Game was pretty repetitive, but I managed to get Anna to talk to me about weather (so it's getting pretty serious you could say).
