The sound effects are really funny. The catch the spy minigame was usually the one I started to lose on once it got tough. Good job!

pmilian 2017-07-31 17:47

Very fun game ! The sounds effects are hilarious !

hhsaez 2017-07-31 17:54

Really funny game. Simple and challenging. Great work!

eduardogrdev 2017-07-31 20:41

Very funny game, nice sfx! It gets crazy after a while clicking everywhere, something addictive about it!

notime4games 2017-07-31 20:50

Haha the upside down missile button got me good :) This was hectic and fun! Got 21662 score year 1970

designernap 2017-07-31 21:16

I enjoyed playing this :) nice idea and well executed. Superb audio work! really ties it all together.

cristi-mihai 2017-07-31 21:44

I was actually thinking of doing a political game to mean the "power", but I haven't managed to find the right idea. I love yours! The minigames are a very cool idea and fun! Kudos!

pandakipu 2017-07-31 21:50

Funny game, I begin to lose because of the spy :D Good job !

somethinboutgames 2017-07-31 23:47

Frantic, fun game. Trying to find the island closest to losing before diving right back into a mini game stressed me out!!

The take the bribe games took a little too long for me, I always lost a lot of time on them and of course the catch the spy game

Graphics could be worked on but serve their purpose for a "wacky" game like this. Music is ok, but real voice acting gives you a huge bonus

Made it to 1966

colestia 2017-08-01 11:53

Really liked this one! The sound and design are absurdly hilarious, and to top it off the difficulty curve is really solid :)

seanw 2017-08-01 18:27

Hi it's me from twitch lol. Perfect WarioWare-style game! Really impressive for 48 hours. Very enjoyable.

vivoubos 2017-08-01 20:19

Haha, funny game :) Those mini games are fun! Good job.

ljfmx 2017-08-01 22:45

Awesome sound effects! Gets really intense at the end. Fun too.

brent 2017-08-01 22:48

Good game, got stressful at the end as things started getting harder and harder. Sounds were great! Funny art.

jekstrom 2017-08-01 23:09

Awesome game! That spy near the end becomes impossible to hit haha!

kosmo 2017-08-02 02:50

Final Score: 21009, Final Year: 1980

Very funny -- great sound effects :)

Overall I really like it, my only complaint is that it doesn't really feel like 'running out of power' to me so much as do this as fast as you can. Either way well done! Thanks for the game

phlip45 2017-08-02 05:32

@Kosmo That is a very good score. My best was ~24,000 and also year 1980. Score is an amalgam of the difficulty level (which increases 3x per year so year can be considered a difficulty indicator) and number countries still under your power. Difficulty also increases faster if you are under 4 countries, so if it seems hard to get a higher score you need to keep more countries alive for longer as opposed to surviving a longer amount of time.

sixteen 2017-08-02 06:24

This was fantastic! I love how the game gets harder over time but then when you lose an island you have more time to focus on the others, so it gets temporarily easier. My score was 16968 and the year with 1976. Also, loved the tutorial being spoken and enjoyed all the sound effects too!

kodiqi 2017-08-02 07:18

Yeah, this game is hilarious. I love the sound effects. I also love taking bribes and getting out of here!

The graphics were simple but done with humor, so they worked with the game. The controls were all responsive, no bugs that I could see. The mini games themselves were pretty clear, aside from maybe the Get Out Of Here one the first time it came up. I'm sure you could add more to this if you wanted, or put it online as is for a fun little web game, as it definitely is fun.

incobalt 2017-08-02 22:37

Tough, but a good idea! I really liked the take on the theme! Though the gameplay was simple, I think you nailed the inspiration you were going for. The graphics were simple, but they communicated everything they needed. I had a bit of trouble because the game expected my screen to be taller than it was, but I still managed to get it. Perhaps have the game fade out over a little bit on game over? I was in the middle of clicking rapidly, so I don't know what the end screen looks like.

phlip45 2017-08-02 23:34

@incobalt Yeah I need to add a little timer there where clicks aren't processed. I'll probably do a bug fix for that later this week.

ezaudiolabs 2017-08-03 05:42

Hilarious game! Had a good laugh at the sound effects, great humour there, good job!

ursagames 2017-08-03 05:49

Absolutely hilarious! Great pacing too, goes from a breeze to crazy hard. Absolutely wonderful voice acting. Simple but addicting gameplay.

mrerdalural 2017-08-03 11:02

Reminds me of WarioWare I loved it! Good job!

Thank you for making this game!

mrtroy 2017-08-04 00:52

"Get outta here!" - I made it all the way to 1970 and forgot to note my score. :(

drtizzle 2017-08-04 09:01

Final score: 17654, final year: 1966 :)

Games with voice overs are always good, it just makes it so much more fun and finished. Also the sound effects are really funny! The graphics are very cool, you can see there is some time and love put into that. Got a Wario Ware feel when playing because of all those mini games that speed up.

It's fun to play and humorous, so what's more to ask for?

Very well done!

jackyjjc 2017-08-04 14:13

Hahaha this game is very funny. The political satire, the voice sound effect, the activities going on in those countries are all quite humorous. Love the graphics, simple yet add to the satirical nature of the game. I was surprise not only the game but the music also speed up which was a nice touch. I actually quite like this game despite its simplicity. Well done!

pklaschka 2017-08-04 15:26

Much fun – really hilarious and an interesting interpretation of the theme.

I also liked the balancing (at the beginning, I thought "nice idea, but boring", but it was got quite challenging toward the end).

Great job !

rarefactionq 2017-08-05 07:11

Part of WarioWare's charm is the variety of the challenges so that you get disoriented when starting a new "minigame". I never really felt disoriented in the same way. Points for humor and mood!

brolton 2017-08-05 08:09

cool audio! But i'm not understand, what i can do to man with knife.

dariusa 2017-08-05 08:25

Made it to 1980 ! The audio is hilarious, became an expert at launching missile and taking bribe

willbl3pic 2017-08-05 18:16

This is one of the only games that I've gone back to after rating it and played some more of - it's amazing!

What I like:

- Great WarioWare feel - Music and sounds are great - I love the sound effects! - The game gets more challenging at about the right pace

What I think could be done better:

- Nothing! I love this!

badly-drawn-rod 2017-08-05 22:03

Mini-games were a good idea, but it would have been nicer to have more variety. That being said... 48 hours is not a lot of time, so credit to you for doing as many as you did.

phlip45 2017-08-06 06:12

@badly-drawn-rod Yeah. I had about 10 or so minigames planned, but knew I wouldn't get through all of them. Once I had the basic framework down for creating them I just added one at a time til I hit the time limit.

elizabeth-thomas 2017-08-06 07:55

This was hilarious and a great twist on the theme. It got pretty hard. I loved the sound.Everything came together in a way that made it fun and amusing.

akerspoket 2017-08-06 08:11

Fun that it was so many mini games, was a bit to much do and repeat for my taste but great work all the same!

kashif 2017-08-06 08:37

Hilarious.

silkworm-sweatshop 2017-08-06 10:45

Haha, nice job! You always want more minigames but for Ludum Dare the amount was perfectly fine and the progressive difficulty was well balanced.

krunoslav 2017-08-06 13:27

Fun game. I get 21376 points and year 1972! :) Nice music, I liked the different tasks and how it get harder and harder, specially the missil upside down! It could be a little repetitive but as a short game it is nice.

vkmicro 2017-08-07 21:42

**First of all:** Thank you SO MUCH for such an incredible and detailed feedback you left on my game! I really appreciate it! It helps a lot!

**Overall game impression:** I really love how it got progressively harder. The voice acting and voice overs were very nice and cool touch, I enjoyed. The gameplay had a nice variety of features which I appreciate. Sound effects overall were nice and pleasant. Overall gameplay was great... I forgot to look at my score though :( but it was fun anyways! Great job!

When I started playing and encountered the murderer didn't know what to do so I died to the murdered spam clicking the screen xD then 2nd time playing I realized you had to click off the murderer's screen lol :D

**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Add more mini games :D but other than that nothing xDDD

phantom-lab 2017-08-08 05:37

Please turn this into a full android game! **[GET OUTTA HERE]**

cttfow 2017-08-08 15:33

At first I was confused... then I was confused and laughing. This was so much fun and I absolutely love the voice acting! I must say the sound effects weren't entirely clear to me (when you lost or won a minigame) but it's not like I would have had the time to pay attention to all the little games, anyway! Great job!

guckstift 2017-08-08 20:44

At first I thought I had to do something complicated but then... xD Really funny but also sad because a good abstraction of reality in a collection of rapid mini games. Nice job!

Also I'm glad that you built in brief instructions as spoken audio. Really cool!

morphine 2017-08-09 15:33

haha that was one of the most interesting entries that I have seen! Nice job

johnnwfs 2017-08-12 03:30

I'm going to say that at first I was really underwhelmed. I didn't get the point (not familiar with Wario, etc) but after clicking through the mini games and really getting the point I was hooked. I had fun for a while keeping some nations alive before finally giving in and letting the last one fall. Lots of fun and like others I'd agree it's great for a short development span. Loved your voiceover, sounded like You don't know Jack guy a bit (or maybe the original Bop it voice). Great entry!

chadivision 2017-08-13 00:05

I really liked the audio and the look and feel. The mini games were cool and could definitely be expanded upon if you do a post-jam version. Nice job.

For some reason it took me a little bit to notice the bars on each nation, so I was just doing the mini games randomly instead of in order of which one was most urgent. I'm not sure why, because the bars are pretty prominent, but something about them didn't jump out at me at first.

Also, I'm a little confused about the one that just says "get out of here" and has the guy killing the other guy. Is there a mini-game there that I missed? Or is it just that if you get that one it automatically recharges the bar for that country?

phlip45 2017-08-13 00:21

@chadivision The 'get out of here' one was made to trip you up when things start getting a bit more hectic. People will try clicking as soon as they've clicked a country, so to stop that, this mini-game wants you to not click it or you will lose power in all countries by clicking it. At least that was the idea.

As for the power bars not jumping out, one of my friends who played it said the same thing, but I didn't think it was a big enough deal during the jam to put time into making them more obvious.

sputnik3d 2017-08-15 22:12

Neat entry, as a political science geek I was hoping to see more entries about political power! Funny sound effects and hectic gameplay, I like it! No complaints, good work!

belga54 2017-08-16 16:07

Neat idea. Really fun to play ! The graphics are ok but could be improved. Liked the voice acting. Reallly funny game ! ****Get Outta here !****

2017-11-16 01:25

Neat set of minigames! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXq5UkQ9iWI
