LD39 — Running out of Power (8)

Despotism 3k by NikolayKuznetsov 2017-08-07T08:36:30Z ♥ 2

Fantastic! 5-stars on almost everything. The only thing is that I wish there was a little bit more instructions. I didn't realize that you were allowed to put the people back in the fish bowl to recharge for the first 5 minutes. I was just throwing them into the processor when they got tired XD

Power Struggle by Kriss 2017-08-07T08:07:01Z ♥ 0

It's pretty hard to see what's going on and the collision detection is kinda strange. Also, I'm not exactly sure but I think the upgrades cost money and the same button upgrades as well as repairs and recharges which meant that I upgraded stuff I didn't want to upgrade :-/. Otherwise, solid game. A good take on tower defense.

Flicker by roaderful 2017-08-07T08:01:33Z ♥ 1

The aesthetic is fantastic. I feel thoroughly spooked the whole time. I wish the Flickering Man did something when you got to him or at very least exit the game. Finally, the reason why no one can figure the puzzles out is because electricity doesn't work like it does in this game. It's very counterintuitive and if I didn't read the rules, I would have been totally lost!

You Are Mech by Captain Laserstorm 2017-08-07T07:45:10Z ♥ 1

Fun! Except for getting stuck on one side of your mech when the energy is on the other feels pretty bad because there is literally no way to get past the tank. Another fun thing I found is that if you hop out on top of the bad guys you can just float there forever. I would have liked to see flying enemies to utilize the awesome turret rather than just pointing it down the whole time.

Planet Nanadoo: Quest for the Powered Fruit by MrTroy 2017-08-07T07:39:45Z ♥ 3

I liked it! I wish the controls were a little tighter. Normally, I don't care so much about this but the core of the gameplay is arcade-style controls. Specifically, moving faster left and right than vertically and the character doesn't whip around to face exactly north without walking a few paces towards the bad guys he wants to shoot!

Sunpoint Salvage by Mike Cullingham 2017-08-07T07:32:20Z ♥ 1

It doesn't appear to work on Mac! I can't even launch the game.

The Political Juggle by Phlip45 2017-08-05T07:11:14Z ♥ 1

Part of WarioWare's charm is the variety of the challenges so that you get disoriented when starting a new "minigame". I never really felt disoriented in the same way. Points for humor and mood!

BATTERYMAN RECHARGES THE WORLD! by XAVIER_INDIE_GAMEDEV 2017-08-03T22:34:10Z ♥ 3

Super fun! I love the ragdoll animation on BatteryMan. It fits the feeling of him having giant muscles and tiny tiny legs. I couldn't find the 6th battery on the 3rd level.
