Pretty fun xD had a nice chuckle while playing this glorious game. Definitely very Joseph style lol
Definitely loved the character art :D very nicely done.
The basic stuff ofc, more variety to enemies would be nice, more combos would be nice. But still, nicely done :D good luck getting more ratings.
never seen a chrome tab use 90% of my i7 before xD lmao
well... as for some others, the game was lagging so bad for me I couldn't actually play it so I decided against rating something I couldn't properly check out... sorry I did get to see some really nice looking art though, that's all I got to really see.
Anyways, seeing as it's ur first entry, dont' get discouraged, trust me, my first entry was so bad most people couldn't play it properly either.... But use it to learn
1- make sure your game is easily played without any extra downloads and is playable within a few clicks or downloads. In browser web stuff is nice but if it's laggy, rather have a zip download with a .exe game file :P
2- make sure to have a description of how to launch the game properly if it's somethign tricky xD
3- try to avoid any extra downloads and installations, people here are busy, school, university, working people. So getting time to play 20+ games isn't always easy, and having to go through extra downloads and installations isn't ideal. So try to stick to quick downloads of zip of game files and .exe of the game. Don't go for game installers etc etc
4- as I said, don't let this discourage you. I'm sorry I couldn't play your game properly. If you make a download of the game files and a game .exe to play, i'll gladly come back and check it out.
The game is fun and well done. Really nice graphics and pleasant gameplay. Found it a bit hard to control picking up and dropping body parts.
Tell me, how did you get jack to play your game :O what kind of sorcery is this????
really fun and simple game.
I liked the digging mechanic a lot. Seemingly simple game but so fun. I had so much fun playing this. Took me a few tries to understand they fall and SQUISH if u're not careful :D nice and pleasant are and very old school arcady sounds which i liked!
Very cool game and fun gameplay!
Awesome combination of 2 retro old school games Space Invaders and Tetris! Super fuN! definitely had a lot of fun playing this!
2 things i'd like to point out are 1- the YELLOW color on tetris part was hard to see 2- the rotation of the things on the tetris part should have been put on space, more intuitive imho. But that's just being nitpicky
Really liked it! Wish there were sound effects though!
p.s I played the 1.0 version not the latest
@Artiko @WalkDiGidong @benhumphries @Iak @saturn007
thought i'd poke those guys who said they couldn't play your game so they can give it a go now that it's fixed.
ANyways, I actually found this concept really fun.
Sure, there's no sound effects, the graphics are bare minimum but who the hell cares? The gameplay is fun xD the difficulty was increasing steadily, it wasn't a huge spike from- ima just go grab some tea, to - HOLY #$@& GOD SAVE ME! So I think that's very nice.
Concept is cool, gameplay is fun, definitely enjoyed it!
Well done. I had fun.
tapping on space would've been easier.
Other than that, I think game was pretty cool and straight forward. The graphics were pleasant, music was nice and controls were easy to get used to and intuitive (other than tapping enter)
Although, as someone who is horrible at hearing the beat and responding to it, i found it hard. But that's just a personal thing :D
I really enjoyed the controls and how smooth they felt
Suggestion as a veteran LD jammer- Play other people's games and comment on their games! that's how you get more people to play your game!
and now opinion on the game. 1- definitely needs a background music and sound effects, but as you even removed it from the ratings I can't complain about it. Just saying
2- it's a little inconsistent in terms of results. Sometimes it does what i planned it to fine and then next time it doesn't work and then next try it works again (for example level 2, run for 5.3 seconds, jump, then run for a little more, half the times it would fall off after 5.3 seconds running and half the time it'd jump right from the edge, that's what I mean by a little inconsistent)
3- reaching exit, in my opinion should be an instant win, instead of having to stay in it for 5 seconds
sorry, it may seem like i'm only listing bad things / complaining, but I'm just going in order of things I noticed as I played the game
4- This is, conceptually, in my opinion, the most FUN game this ludum dare that I played so far! This concept is so COOOOOOOOOLLLLL!!!
I honestly can't even describe how COOL and fun i find this concept.
This is super engaging and entertaining.
5- this game me some serious Aperture Science vibes :D hehe
puzzle solving (turn'ish based) define movements (logic style) game xD so fun xD This is basically writing logic for a game / defining logic for character movements and I enjoy writing AI / movement patterns for games so this was totally my thing xD Really fun concept, I wish to see you guys continue working on this and make it into a larger / more complete game!
6- needs some kind of level notification / text up on top showing what level you're on
7- text definitely needs some work with but I honestly can't really complain about that, it's just fking text!
at level 5 inconsistencies started to get a little irritating. Got a feeling you guys used FPS to count time in game. Since at level 5 with each new move > jump set i added, had to cut time of the first jump by .1 second... was weird
but yeah, played all 5 levels, was super fun, u should keep working on this! i really love the concept!
Alright, lets see if I can give you some more good and valuable feedback other than "needs more content" as everybody else is saying. My game also turned out super short so I'm definitely not gonna judge based on that.
So, I actually think a 60 second timer is a very good idea.
The graphics, controls, player model, movement, physics (ball's physics especially) were all really well done and well made and very smooth and polished. I definitely appreciated that.
The "drunkness" was kind of out of context, but it was alright.
Controls were very smooth and easy to use, intuitive and that's good. As I said, physics were really well made as well.
At first I was trying to figure out a KICK button :D lol
I think this is a fun concept overall, AI was definitely functional, not top notch but definitely functional, animations were great everything was smooth, I'm actually really impressed by all of that.
Regarding content, since you already had AI in place, why not make a larger play field and make it a 2v2? would have been more engaging, but overall it wasn't bad.
Reminded me of Rocket League lol :D
I can't really think of a game and how you could turn this into a full scale game / project, but I think this was a nice concept and learning project if nothing else. I think you have a very solid base and skills and can make something great :D so 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻
I liked it, I think it was very polished and very nicely made. Well done!
p.s. I may have repeated myself more times than I should have, sorry... I'm very repetitive :/
The direct HTML game link doesn't work (for me at least) for some reason..
Had to go to the game page > play game to get it to work.
Not sure if link expired or something but just letting you know this.
Anyways, about the game.
I really loved the graphics, wire frame style graphics look really cool and retro as heck :D loved it. Pacman is always great to see, fits well with the retro style graphics.
I was really into it as I love strategy games of this style, super fun super enjoyable very nicely put together! well done!
2 suggestions / complains
1- i'd love to see some kind of SELECTION thing... like when I drag I'd like to see what exactly i'm about to select... some kind of indicator, like all strategy games have. (but i understand you probably didn't have time to implement that
2- faster moving camera without having to click on the map to move the camera fast.
got to 12th place i think? maybe 11th, can't remember anymore :D fun stuff anyways!
Phew! this is hard! gets my adrenaline rushing and my blood pumping trying to outrun the lava! Very cool, very fun, very enjoyable :D I had so much fun.
Graphics were very pleasant, sound effects were nice and not too loud / annoying. Animations and character design were cool and gameplay was smooth and I didn't find any bugs
The music is absolute badass!!! HELL YEAH!!!!!
The graphics were pretty awesome as well!
gameplay is pretty decent overall but controls / pace of the game definitely need more fine tuning. I didn't like the controls.
AI and enemies were pretty hard on me and kept destroying me. Overall, good but needs work.
"Created with Game Maker Studio 1.4." gotta upgrade to that GMS 2.0 :P it's better xDDD
but, awesome game overall. I really enjoyed the turn based bullet hell'ish style gameplay xD i think it was created really well and the gameplay is smooth and precise. Very nicely made game :D good job! I really liked it.
Art was nice, sound effects were nice.
My only complaint / suggestion would be making the player character stand out a little more, but it's good overall, it wasn't hard to figure out where player character was and such, just saying :P
i enjoyed this
this is super fun and engaging honestly. I really enjoyed it. Seemingly simple concept but so fun and entertaining. I really had a lot of fun playing this. Sound effects were great, music was very pleasant, art was super fitting, concept was simple and fun, game play was smooth. Great overall!
initial reaction- ohh god the sounds 10 seconds later- HELL YEAH THE SOUNDS!!! The graphics are super pleasant the sound effects are just 100/10 best of the best i've heard amazing xD
very fun simple and enjoyable game, smooth and didn't find any bugs xD well done, had a great time playing it. Have nothing to advice on / suggest honestly, i think this is a great game overall
AWWW YEAH!! TOWER DEFENSE! THAT"S MY JAM!!!
No, seriously! I'm a HUGE Tower Defense guy! so this was a big hit with me xD i enjoyed this for way longer than I should have!
this is like Plants vs zombies x idle game and with bugs xD i really liked this idea.
Art was nice, sound effects were decent.
My main suggestions would be: balance out the audio volume, hammer was too loud compared to background music, should lower the volume of the hammer smash. plants take maybe a little too long to grow, but that's not really an issue. I still really enjoyed the game.
Awesome entry! Awesome game!
Very cool and creative mix of genres here! Really found the idea cool and again, as with many games in this LD, so many themes which seem like they wouldn't match but in the end the game is really cool and interesting. And, I think this is super cool and interesting :D
I really liked the enterprise style space ship drawing :D big + from me for the Star Trek reference there.
Like I said, I found this mix very unique and creative, swipe puzzle like candy crush mixed with a big of space battle :D fun stuff
1 main thing i'd like to advice / point out is the fact that it's really hard to tell which character is yours. it's a very important thing to make player character stand out and obvious. Different color from enemies, larger, in the center, whatever you have to do to make character player stand out.
With that aside. The game is very cool, graphics are nice. Controls are quite challenging and take some getting used to. Definitely could use better background music, but soudn effects and volumes were very nicely balanced out so I think that's a very good thing.
Main thing, as I said, making player character stand out amongst all other characters. Work on that and keep that in mind.
Great entry, fun game, well made and mechanically very solid. Good job!
super fun and creative! enjoyed it a lot! got nothing to complain about
super fun and creative! enjoyed it a lot! got nothing to complain about. Very smooth and enjoyable
Outstanding graphics
This game has some amazing vibe! It really puts you in the mood and your character slowly going more and more insane is just so cool! I was totally into it! it reminds me of a game i recently played called "Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice" check it out. Awesome game
Anyways, superb art, audio, game, implementation and mechanics. The constant switching and everything was really awesome and I was totally into it.
Awesome game!
The only thing i'd probably like to see changed is the actual chat / conversation your character is having with detective being more obvious / stand out more and maybe a log? that'd be cool :D
I've been following you since LD39 and your games are always INCREDIBLY detailed! And well xD didn't expect any less xD insanely detailed game as always. I've no idea how you manage this. I also really love your art style. Nice audio as well xD game is really cool! Well made and very in depth and detailed!
Ohhh, very cool background music, nice sound effects, nice graphics, VERY AWESOME GAME idea and implementation.
This game looks super complicated and hard to implement. Good job. Super impressive
I'm really into it too. I like this sort of games so i've spent a really long time enjoying this game as much as i could.
The only issue I had is, the mouse feels a little floaty / slow i'm not sure... it doesn't feel very crisp and precise though I still had no problems with movement, it might not even be the game but my browser and how it works with WEBGL tbh.
And, I think the npc's move a little too slow :P but that's just me being nitpicky. The game is super fun and very engaging and interesting. Well done, good job.
few things I want to mention before i start fangirling about how amazing this is 1- in game maker you can make a zip file instead of installer, makes it easier for people to run the game ^^ i advice using that instead of installer, i for one dislike installing things if i can avoid it xD 2- the background music wasn't bad but wasn't great either
now off to fangirling - I absolutely loved the art, the game play the smooth acceleration the control of jump height the enemy variety the art the art the art the art did i say i loved the art yet? XD because i loved the art xD also i liked the cute little quick voice acting at the beginning and very nice starting page showing all the controls xD overall really good entry and really fun game xD smooth and fun, very nice sound effects very awesome and cute art.
good job both on the programming part and on the art part :D cheers
I was looking to Turn based racing game(s) to come from this theme and here's the first 1 :D
This was super fun and i really enjoyed the projection of what your car will do based on the changes you make next turn. very cool mechanic
my only issue I had with the game is, the car you control does NOT stand out at all! One key thing about game design is making your character stand out, so that's the only suggestion i have for you honestly, make the player controlled character stand out from the others.
Other than that, super cool, very fun, very engaging and interesting. I definitely enjoyed this. Nice sound effects too and my favorite part is the projection of your cars movement next turn!
Welp... I'm pretty sure my mother and neighbors think i'm insane now... because I was really into screaming into my microphone xD Super fun xD very unique xD i had a ton of fun with this xD More games need to utilize mechanic of microphone and activating things based on sound xD super cool nice art, smooth play style xD
Thanks for making everybody think I'm crazy for making me yell into my microphone
15/10 would scream into my mic again.... now i need a glass of water since i was screaming too much
This was actually super fun and entertaining. Nice voice acting too.
Great idea and concept xD definitely wouldn't think about point and click + fps mix :D haha
would like to have some sound effects for shooting though, but other than that, awesome entry
Yeah, I loved this xD Very crisp and precise movements and collision detection was great. Sounds were awesome too and that duck and the hidden area character drawing were amazing. player character was... interesting to say the least xD I liked everything about the game. The clever evil and sneaky level design is great, awesome job there.
Great job
Neat, and works. Very nice sound effects and easy on the eyes + pleasant graphics. Worked well. Great entry overall i'd say
this is definitely 1 of the more fun games i played :D pretty cool. Definitely enjoyed the graphics and sound effects. Gameplay was challenging, a little too challenging i'd say. Make it a bit more casual for ludum dare i'd say
This is a strangely amusing and addicting game hahaha :D @Burgee i've quite enjoyed your ld38 and 39 entries and this was no different :D very neat tidy and clean game with solid mechanics and smooth gameplay :D very well done and quite enjoyable. Sound effects were CUTEE!!! and the art was just as cute. I hope the lil creatures I threw away didn't get hurt Q_Q
Very good game. Straight forward and simplistic. Easy to figure out. Extra points for the awesome pirate song / music at the beginning xD the AAA quality voice acting is incredible ;D loved it. Well done overall, really cool
this Life simulator was NOT accurate enough. As a student at university, sleep is not a thing that happens every day, hanging out with friends is usually done in the library at midnight while studying and trying to finish homework, and spending entire day on campus in the library is the most normal thing ever.... xD
but that aside, this little simulator / management game was really fun pleasant and satisfying. I really LOVED it.
Really well done. I think the sound effects were pleasant
I think the game is really nice and soothing. The game play is quite neat and straight forward I think. Art style is very unique and pleasant on the eye. Very neat concept and game design I think. Plays nicely and enjoyable. Thanks for the pleasant experience
Simple, straight forward and chill game honestly. Good enough for a first game :D One thing i'd like to see added is a health bar and losing HP when u get hit by the enemies or something similar? add some challenge to the game. Additionally maybe spawn more...enemies or things to shoot the higher your score is or something.
Either way, a solid entry and less bugs than mine hahaha :D gg
interactive novels are always very entertaining for me and are something rare, most people don't do them because they think- ehhh, it's not a game it has no actual graphics right? but I say WRONG! I think interactive novels are very entertaining, especially if you can enjoy a nice stor, and I'm very much a person who can really enjoy and appreciate a nice story. Which brings me to next point :D awesome story. I think it was really well written and unique xD definitely enjoyable. Well done overall, I liked. The story reflecting the theme really well. Awesome!
Very enjoyable, great graphics and sounds. Very straight forward and enjoyable game BUT gets repetitive and boring eventually, or well, WOULD for people who aren't much into visual novels. I enjoy visual novels and so this game was quite fun all throughout. I definitely enjoyed it. and can't really suggest anything besides maybe some unexpected turn of events in the story.
Simple, straight forward, increasing difficulty. Pretty simple and enjoyable game. The AI movement and them circling around you gave me a great giggle. Well executed especially considering you never used the Phaser library before. Really neat. GG
Really fun and catchy game actually. I really enjoyed it, indeed an epic mix of Coockie clicker + tower Defense, and I love tower defense games, so I really liked this game :D well done. Was quite fun. if only a bit more variety xD other than that it's all fine xD simple and entertaining idea, I enjoyed
Ooooohhh! Lovely art! and GMS buddy :D haha First thing i'd like to say, I'd prefer text font being smaller, a bit hard to read. The gameplay made me think and reminded me of the Risk of Rain. Movement was fluid, double jumping and the wall jumping was very nice and polished. Very well done :D I have much to learn yet. My game doesn't even stand close to this. I think this is a great entry with fun gameplay. The controls were also quite similar to risk of rain, HOWEVER I'd like to point out the fact that it took me sliding my fingers all across the keyboard trying to figure out how to jump since at the start player can't get over the platform thing there without jump but the tutorial only hints at how to run. That's my only complaint.
Otherwise great entry and really fun game. Works great and very smooth. Awesome!
Quieter music would be nice xD just personal opinion xDDD I actually really-liked the tetris like gameplay, it was very nice and smooth and the idea of colors changing by smashing together was very neat. I actually really liked the idea and mechanics xD well done, i think it's a cool concept and well executed. Good job! Maybe more shapes? :D
Best Cookie clicker game ever? :D lolz it was actually quite cool having to multi-task so much. Really neat idea xD if only better sound effects and maybe larger font size and i'd prefer that
Your previous entry also really impressed me but this 1 was quite something. The graphics are very unique and super retro which I absolutely love. The gameplay is quite simple and straight forward, tutorial might just be a bit too long but not difficult to get through and understand. Very intuitive gameplay and fun entertaining game. Well done :D suuuuupppeeeerrr!
Overall the idea was actually very neat and would make a fun lil mobile game imho. I'd definitely like some kind of sound alert of mother about to come in. I also liked the cats meowing when they threw an object off. very awesome.
This game is really fun and catchy. Though i'd prefer instead of having to click each car individually, a control for the side of the road where just all cars on the side stop. But that's my only complaint.
Movement polishing is the only thing i'd like to see changed (i disliked the floaty movement)
Other than that, graphics were cool and worked well, gameplay was nice and game overall worked well and played nicely. Was quite fun. Well done. (extra plus for rotating with the mouse and shooting by rotating with the mouse xD that's something a lot of people said I should've added to my game but i didn't have time for that xD so + for that, gg)
Fascinating and exceptional quality game for an LD. Definitely in the top 5 I played (sorry, not quite top 1 or 2...but up there between 3/4 i can't quite decide xD GG XD)
Anyways, the movement, camera work, graphics / visuals, audio and background music are all a perfect match. Everything was smooth and fun, well made and balanced. Really enjoyed playing the game.
Have nothing to suggest on improving, i think this is an exceptionally well made game.
Nice audio and as everyone else said, graphics are very nice too. The gameplay was too easy imho, but overall nice and balanced I think.
Suggestions: more gameplay variation (i.e. more enemies or skills to pick up) (like i'm the one to talk about that...though I tried to provide the enemy variation in my game xDDD)
This is such a cool little retro feeling game that I couldn't stop playing it. It was very easy to figure out and play. Sound effects were great and fitting, the gameplay felt nice and solid, I enjoyed it thoroughly. The gameplay, sounds effects / audio, and graphics all worked perfectly and fit together really well. very enjoyable and awesome game! Good job!
**Things i'd advice to change** The moving things in background are nice and all but they look similar to projectiles, so making projectiles larger or brighter colors (like neon blue, pink, yellow, green) to easily distinguish them would help.
**overall comments and game impression** It's like don't starve all over again hahah xD Great art, sound effects and gameplay. Everything felt nicely done, polished and balanced. I didn't encounter any bugs. It was interesting game and I'm amazed you managed to finish somehting like that for the LD XD good job!
**Things i'd like to see changed / improvement notes** different enemies at night... currently it's just other survivors attacking you, seems silly... That's all.
Good game! good job
To be honest, background music got rather annoying after few minutes of gameplay.
Game was nice, pretty fun and straight forward. I enjoyed how jump height was related to amount of energy you had. I think this isn't a bad game at all. Took some poking around to figure out which barrels were good and which were bad but once I got that down it was a straight road from there. Graphics were pretty decent sound effects matching the game theme and style, all in all a good game and pleasant and enjoyable experience and gameplay.
It's a very decent game, and here's **few things I'll suggest / share my opinion on that I think should be changed.** - the background music lowered by about 50% would make it a lot less annoying and a lot more enjoyable honestly, it's not bad music and fits the game theme but the volume of it makes it rather annoying I think. - Allowing character to go off screen on the right side felt weird, so that should be changed to where you can't just go off the screen.
p.s. i liked the interface, a nice little touch, and art style overall were very nice
I personally kept getting stuck on the top of the platforms on the corner when trying to jump up.
Other than that, gameplay is very fun and pretty smooth (besides getting stuck) Game was quite fun and enoyable. Graphics are definitely amazing and the gameplay was fun. Sound effects weren't too loud or quiet, the background wasn't annoying. I think it was great overall.
With some control polishing and fixing of the getting stuck on the corners when jumping up bug, I think this game would make for a fun little game to release on like Itch.io or something for the general public to enjoy and play.
Good entry, good game, well done! solid 4 from me.
Definitely one of the most beautiful visually games i've played so far from all the LD39 games. The camera work is nice, graphics are beautiful, lighting is well done. Music was very nice and pleasant.
Overall, well done, however here's **some things I disliked / would like to see changed.** -The game was too dark. My screen settings that I have is already several shades darker than most other peoples screens, so a dark game is several shades darker for me, where normally people can see some shapes, i can see only darkness. So that's a thing I think you should address and keep in mind, that not everyone runs on the same settings as you. So keeping game with settings (darkness / brightness) that works for jsut about everyone and not only for you will be a good practice, same applies to running game in full screen, I typically personally never run a game in full screen.
So with my screen being so dark, it was quite difficult to near impossible to see the maze and navigate through it, but I managed anyways. However, setting brightness and the full screen setting aside, this was an amazing game that was really enjoyable.
this gives some pacman vibes. Very much reminded me of packman. I honestly think that the 3D'ish graphics are a bit excessive, it'd have worked out perfectly fine with top down 2D view, but it's not a bad touch. Sound effects were nice. Loved the slurping? drinking sound when you pick up the energy xD
Overall nice game, fun and simple gameplay, fun and enjoyable overall. Sound effects were nice to have as well.
You need to make posts (top right > new > blog post) and ask for people to play so you can get more feedback and rating.
Anyways, the gameplay was smooth, controls actually felt really good even though floaty, but it fits the game well since you play as a cloud. The art style was cute as hell :D nice little entry.
Would definitely enjoy some audio, at least some simple background music.
Bonus Points for the voice acting / narrating.
**Overall impression / comments** the sound effects and audio in general as well as music all fit the game very well and work together well and provide a great experience. The narrating at the beginning is definitely bonus points, very nice and enjoyable touch. The projectiles flight and auto targeting is quite cool and was probably a lot of complicated math, or so I think. Graphics were quite nice, gameplay was smooth, everything worked well and was quite enjoyable.
**comments / suggestions on improving the game** I'd prefer having to aim or guide the projectiles myself. (If you ever played Terrarria you might remember some magical items which gave you like a fireball you can guide around with your mouse, that type of thing). That's the only thing I disliked.
yeeeehaaaa! That is cool! xD First western style game I got to play this LD and enjoyed.
**overall comments** It was pretty cool. Really awesome and unique idea. Gameplay is very simple and straight forward (though i'd prefer jumping on space and shooting / shoveling on something else) but other than that, it's awesome. Works well and is pretty fun to play. I liked the idea and theme implementation the most personally. Well done! The game was nicely balanced, starting out easy and getting harder as time goes on. Very enjoyable.
**comments on improvement** more enemy types would add a nice feel. if it's just the same thing just getting harder as time goes on, it gets very repetitive. So some variation would be a nice feel. Maybe having to set out flames or something like that? just to add a bit more gameplay variety.
**Overall game impression:** I enjoyed your LD38 entry and I definitely enjoyed your LD39 entry as well. This is such a cool little game. The sound effects are great and very fitting. Graphics are very smooth and pleasant to the eyes. Gameplay is very nice and entertaining. Difficulty is just right. Very good game, very fun and interesting. I enjoyed it.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** A little more natural elements phenomena's would be a cool addition, but time limit in LD doesn't allow that. Other than that I think the game is already really cool and fun and doesn't need any changes, only additions.
**First of all:** Thank you SO MUCH for such an incredible and detailed feedback you left on my game! I really appreciate it! It helps a lot!
**Overall game impression:** I really love how it got progressively harder. The voice acting and voice overs were very nice and cool touch, I enjoyed. The gameplay had a nice variety of features which I appreciate. Sound effects overall were nice and pleasant. Overall gameplay was great... I forgot to look at my score though :( but it was fun anyways! Great job!
When I started playing and encountered the murderer didn't know what to do so I died to the murdered spam clicking the screen xD then 2nd time playing I realized you had to click off the murderer's screen lol :D
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Add more mini games :D but other than that nothing xDDD
**First of all:** Thank you for your feedback and for checking out my game. Appreciate it!
**Overall game impression:** This is basically "Factorio" simplified! hahahah xD Factorio Lite. It's an incredibly complicated game for a LD entry game. 2nd resource management strategy game I played and definitely enjoyed it. It's really nice and unique, very cool and fun to play. I really love resource management building strategy games. Conveyor belts are a cool touch :D. Incredible entry, incredible gameplay, incredible complexity! Love it!!! Good job!!!!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** I would love some mechanical factory sound effects when you place down conveyor belts and the coal mining, power plants and research facilities.
**Overall game impression:** I really like the sound of war drums as background music. Adds a REALLY cool feel to the game. Gameplay is pretty simple and smooth. (Jumping is ridiculous though). Gameplay is quite basic and simple but not bad at all, quite enjoyable and soothing to be honest. I also like the little story you included with the game, always a nice touch when you give players some story not just- here's a game and no story at all for why all of this is happening (mistake I made in my first LD entry for the LD38 haha) Good job overall.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Jumping needs to be adjusted.
**Overall game impression:** Absolutely beautiful game and graphics. Sound effects are very fitting and the gameplay is smooth and fun. Looks great, plays we, sounds great. Great game overall. I really enjoyed it. Movement speed is also very well balanced. The enemies are really well balanced in terms of shooting speed and movement speed. I think this is a really good and enjoyable game. Already really enjoyed 1 thing which I didn't include in my game, continues shooting by holding the fire button down (although it's bad and drains energy in your game xD). But yeah, overall great game! You did a good job, hope to see your entry for the next Ludum Dare as well and see what you make :D
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Maybe switch Z X to something more universal like shift and space or something?
p.s. Could you check out my game as well?
**Overall game impression:** Aahhahaha awesome :D the funniest game I played so far from this LDjam xD Epic voice acting and sound effects are hilarious. Game is really good and looks nice, unique and fun. Very good!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Nothing really, the humor, graphics, sound effects and gameplay all fit together perfect and smoothly. Nothing I can think of which would need a change or a fix.
**First of all:** Thank you for your feedback and for checking out my game. Appreciate it!
**Overall game impression:** Pretty straight forward, classic and fun. I like the art style, it's very soothing and easy on the eyes. Very enjoyable and addicting game. Height measure is a nice touch, always cool to have a score. I got to 6500 only D: Well done! Nice and enjoyable
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Sound effects / background music would help a lot. Also changing controls to keyboard controls would be easier than mouse point and click I think. Or having both perhaps.
**Overall game impression:** Awesome voice acting. Not something you see often or a lot in LD Games, always fun to play a game with lots of voicing. Really fun to play, straight forward and simple game. Smooth movements. Good background music and the voicing is quite funny xD good job. Pretty fun and enjoyable game. 4/5 from me.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Camera rotation to follow player from the back always would help I think. Some platforms when they were like behind the player and you had to jump towards the camera was a little hard to do to me, hard to judge the distance. Nothing else
p.s. you need to go play other peoples games and leave a comment for them and get some more people to play your game :D this game deserves more comments and ratings. Also make a post and ask people to play your game! Good luck!!!
**First of all:** Thank you for your feedback and for checking out my game. Appreciate it! (p.s. Не ожидал русских тут увидеть, хотя чего удивляться. Но коммент оставлю на анг чтоб народ мог нормально прочитать.)
**Overall game impression:** Took me a bit of time to realize what the filling up circle was all about. Overall pretty fun game. Very simple and entertaining, reminds me of texting my boss, gf and mother as well...except I also ended up sending messages that were meant for my gf to my boss..... lol :D I enjoyed the game, good job!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Add sound effects of some kind. And maybe add some kind of hint for the red filling circle, something like- "Sending" so it's more obvious what it does. I thought that's how long it'd take to receive a reply at first.
**First of all:** My god... how long did this UI and such take you to make? it's incredible
**Overall game impression:** Definitely a 5/5 game. The gameplay is very unique, not something I've seen. Very cool idea to make it windows based hahah xD i really enjoyed the gameplay and graphics. So many different and unique levels and puzzle ideas and text dialogues I'm SUPER IMPRESSED! it's really cool having so much variety to gameplay. I think you did an outstanding job. This game was really impressive and fun with a lot of different mechanics and varieties of gameplay. It never got boring
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Accessing inventory wasn't really obvious. Besides that I can't think of any other fixes / changes I'd like to see, I think the game is perfect.
**First of all:** Thank you for your feedback and for checking out my game. Appreciate it!
**Overall game impression:** Very simplistic and enjoyable game. It is straightforward, nothing overly complicated but it is really soothing and as mentioned before, enjoyable game. I had a good time playing this game. I sincerely liked the lighting where the environment is only visible around the player. Sound effects were nice and background music was quite soothing and pleasant.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Add controls for WASD as well, and make another interact key, like F or something so it's easier to interact with the games besides a combination of right arrow + E. Smooth and easy to use controls are a big part of every game and I think those additions I've mentioned would make this game even better.
**First of all:** Thank you for your feedback and for checking out my game. Appreciate it!
**Overall game impression:** Ohh wow, this game is actually epic. I love how the floor is the energy bar and it's running out! hahaha :D very cool. The game is well made, levels are balanced and doable, not too hard or too easy. It's very fun and enjoyable, game play is smooth, sounds fit the game perfectly and are very pleasant, movements are great (thanks for making space a jump key as well) it's really fun and cool! LOVE IT! 5/5
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** None.... Can't think of anything.
p.s. I think my fav level was 6!
**First of all:** Thank you for your feedback and for checking out my game. Appreciate it!
**Overall game impression:** Ohh god this is super fun! The physics work great, sound effects are very fitting, gameplay is smooth and addicting, graphics are pleasant and yet simple. Gameplay was really easy to figure out. (As expected from a professional honestly, amazing game). One awesome little touch I enjoyed a lot was the voiced- 'Your power is running out' haha, cool voice :D
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** I'm thinking really hard but I can't really come up with anything major. Some minor things I'd like to see added / changed: Make the holes in the bottom stand out more, so it's more obvious to see what you have to do. (Or add some kind of quick tutorial in game?). And menu sounds, when clicking a button it'd be nice to have a sound effect (I know I know, I'm being super picky here and most games for LD jams wouldn't have that as there's no time, but I gotta be picky about something else I'll have nothing at all to suggest....)
**First of all:** Thank you for your feedback and for checking out my game. Appreciate it!
**Overall game impression:** It's pretty simple as far as the idea goes, it's pretty fun as far as gameplay goes and it's quite addicting since you want to do better and be perfect. I really enjoy games like this. I think the movement speed of the character is perfect and gives you a good chance to dodge everything. Good job!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Sound effects would help a lot. Background music, some kind of effect when you pick up things and also when you die.
**First of all:** Thank you for your feedback and for checking out my game. Appreciate it!
**THIS GAME IS A PRIMARY EXAMPLE OF HOW A GOOD GAME DOESN'T NEED GRAPHICS TO BE GOOD!**
**Overall game impression:** It has no graphics, but it doesn't need graphics. This is an incredible puzzle game with great little mechanics and it works perfectly. I didn't encounter any bugs and had a lot of fun playing through the game and getting through every level. Like I said, this is a great example of the fact that a good game doesn't need good graphics to be good, graphics are just an eye candy but this game is amazing without the need for graphics. Sound effects are nice and pleasant, not too loud or annoying, I think it works well with the game and gameplay. I also love the mood the game sets with the little 'commentary' from your character. I really enjoyed this.
I will however mention that I don't see much fitting to the theme, didn't see much energy or running out of it going on here but it doesn't make the game any less pleasant and enjoyable! Well done! Really well done!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Besides making it fit the theme somehow I don't think there's much I can suggest. It is great as it is, levels have an amazing variety and the mechanics are perfect, work great and enjoyable as well as smooth. Good job! Thumbs up!
**First of all:** Thank you for your feedback and for checking out my game. Appreciate it!
**Overall game impression:** It's been mentioned before but awesome sound effects really xD well done. But I would like to focus on lighting with my feedback. The lighting is incredible in your game. The light that each projectile emits when you shoot it add an incredible feel to the game. The sprites of enemies look incredibly and match the game art style perfectly. The colors overall were great and fit well. I loved the art and the lighting. Beautiful effects when enemies die. Gameplay is smooth and everything fits well.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Some soothing and quiet background melody would fit this game very well I think and make it feel nicer. Make main character Stand Out. Give it an aura or something, make it appear and stand out like the main character should, I think that's the main thing I'd like to see changed. (i'm the one to talk...my characters in the game look just different color from the enemies...)
**Overall game impression:** One little touch I really appreciate is that the character starts moving when in the water with the water flow, very nice little touch, always appreciate the small touches and details. Gameplay is pretty unique and cool actually, being a robot that has to clean a river from all the trash humans throw in there. I liked the game overall. SOund effects were quite fitting too honestly. Overall a pretty good game. Good job, especially that you've been programming for only 3 weeks? Are you a god or something? hahaha that's freaking impressive. After 3 weeks of programming I could... write a hello world? and maybe some basic counting for loop? It's been years and I still can't use while loops for shit lmao
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Maybe having an ingame tutorial or hints of sorts. Make sounds quieter. More item variations would make it more fun as well, having some large items which slow you down perhaps? would add quite some strategy to the game and thus depth.
**First of all:** Cool logo :D
**Overall game impression:** The game reminded me a little about the game "Don't touch anything" haha. Very cool. Took me a bit to figure out that you can push on the broken buttons to fix them. Sound effects worked good with the game. The gameplay is pretty unique. It's the 2nd typing game I played but this 1 is so much better than the other one I played, although it's not really a typing game but still, keystroke based game. Very cool and well designed! Good job! i really enjoyed it
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Allow using red and blue buttons with something other than mouse maybe? like arrow keys? I think that'd help.
**Overall game impression:** A clicker game :D first one I played, neat. I personally liked the flowers blooming and dying animation. Had to turn down my mouse DPI to be able to get more flowers xD too high DPI didn't allow me to have good enough precision. On my 3rd try I got 83% Good job :D
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Maybe some kind of background music and make clicking sound quieter a little maybe?
**Overall game impression:** Sound effects fit the game perfectly, gameplay is pretty fun and very smooth. No bugs were encountered. It was very interesting and gets pretty challenging after awhile. It's really simple but fun. Enjoyed it.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** More enemy varieties would add a nice touch imho. Nothing besides that.
**First of all:** Thank you for your feedback and for checking out my game. Appreciate it! psst...found a bug, if u keep driving left xD you kind of drive off the city roads and into the open field. **Overall game impression:** This is a really cool take on the theme. The gameplay is smooth (besides a bug where I drove off the city when I kept driving left) the controls are very self explanatory and very cool actually. I liked it a lot and had fun playing the game.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Aside from the bug fixing of sometimes driving off the road like i mentioned, i'd say assign the map to a key like TAB or M so you can just press it without having to push the button to pull up the map.
**First of all:** Holy the shadows @_@ and trees. Very beautiful... and YAY! ANOTHER DEFENSE GAME! DEFENSE BUDDIES!!! :D
**Overall game impression:** Smooth gameplay. Good physics and incredible graphics, especially lighting and shadows. The gameplay is pretty straight forward and simple, nothing weird or unexpected. Shooting works well, movement too, game looks good. The game idea and gameplay are straight forward so not much to be said there. SOund effects work great and fit the game well, very pleasant and enjoyable gameplay and experience. Good job!
I found like 9 white squares in middle of the air at the back :D wonder what those are.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** The enemies seem to be blasted far back when they die. Should just make them explode or fall on place Imho.
p.s. check out my game as well please, it's also a defense based :D
**First of all:** Took me like a minute to figure out who my character was. Should probably have made it a windowed in a small window.
**Overall game impression:** Overall, I really liked the incredibly simplistic pixel art style honestly. The environment was really pretty, the creatures looks really nice and fitting. The movement speed was perfect. Sound effects are great and fitting. The dying scene is also really cool, something many games don't have. It is a fun and great little game. Don't see much as far as "running out of energy" goes honestly... so not very fitting to the theme I think, the only time u get any kind of "running out of ___" feel is when you're gliding on the dandalion. Gameplay needs more variety i'd say. Gliding and running is fun but having some kinds of obstacles besides an occasional walking around enemy would give a nice variety to gameplay. BUt that's just me being picky. I really enjoyed the graphics and the sounds as well as the physics, movement and overall gameplay experience, it was fun, soothing and pleasant. Good job and good game :D
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Make the game windowed instead of fullscreen. Make the player character more obvious and make it stand out, it's really hard to tell your character apart from all other entities on the screen. Allow climbing down once u start climbing up, I disliked that I couldn't climb back down. And I think an ability to jump wouldn't hurt.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**First of all:** This game is beautiful! both graphics and sound wise.
**Overall game impression:** This game is very beautiful in all the ways possible, it's beautiful graphically, an eye candy, simple yet very mesmerizing, it's full of beautiful sounds, the story is also beautiful and sad at the same time (at least the choices I made) it was incredible and surprisingly deep. The deepest meaning and story in a game out of all the LD entires i've ever seen. Absolutely beautiful and incredible. 5 in all categories that's for sure. Bravo! Just Bravo!
I really liked the statistics at the end, very cool little touch! My favorite game of LD39 so far and I highly doubt anything could change my opinion on this.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** none...this is too beautiful to be in need of changing anything!
p.s. check out my game as well please. edited: Thanks for checking out my game! I'm honored!
**First of all:** Best typing game I've ever played in my life!!! How is this just not the best game of LD39? XD
**Overall game impression:** Very interesting take on the theme. Very cool that you made it a typing game, not seen a typing game in LD entry before. (This is only my 2nd LD but still) unexpected gameplay and game theme (politics) Very fun and neat. Typing games are always a great way to spend some time. I'll send this game to my slow typing friends :D
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** I had a problem getting ' to register, not sure if an issue is on my end or not. Other than that, should've made trump swallow every word you type correctly instead of them just falling.
Very cool game overall! Good job!
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**First of all:** PHONE WITHIN A PHONE! PHONECEPTION!!!!! Okay but more serious comment below **Overall game impression:** Another phone game :D I got an android lucky me. After playing this game I have to admit, this is possibly one of the most innovating game designs and ideas I've seen this time. This is soooo **squeal** COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! THIS IS SO FREAKING COOL! My god! this is so creative and coooooooooll! It was really fun to play a phone game on a phone that is actually a phone game itself O_O' It was really unique and super fun honestly. Very creative and cool. Good job!!
p.s. thanks a lot for playing my game and checking it out. Cheers
Another cool and creative game I had the pleasure of playing and enjoying. **Overall game impression:** Really cool. The main menu looks absolutely beautiful while also being minimalistic. The Graphics overall are very pleasant and easy on the eyes which is a plus. Quite enjoyable game honestly but gets repetitive quickly as there's not much variation to game play. I do like the teleporting between planets and actually having to explore the environment around you. Very good overall.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Adjust the sounds. The engine / drilling sound is on repeat nonstop and gets annoying fairly fast. The teleportation animation takes too long, can be cut in half and be fine. Overall A great game.
p.s. thanks for checking out my game as well. Appreciate it. Well done on your game.
**First of all:** Welcome to Ludum Dare and congratulations on completing your first entry. It really is a cool feeling to complete a first game and see feedback about it after releasing it. Finishing in such a short time is even more awesome!
**Overall game impression:** The game play is very simple and straight forward. I found it pretty entertaining and fun honestly. I liked the variation in the enemies that you made as well, gave the game a nicer feel. Quite enjoyable overall. Well done!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Make the camera not move. Moving camera without being able to move outside the initial play zone is a little weird...
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**First of all:** A FISH GAME? I really didn't expect this... Creativity of people participating in Ludum Dare sure is an amazing thing. When I thought about Running out of energy, i really didn't expect to see a fish game hahaha XD Incredible innovation.
**Overall game impression:** the gameplay is smooth, I didn't encounter any bugs, very straight forward and basic. To prevent it from getting repetitive and boring you added larger fish / sharks that try to eat you. Very cool. I like the challenge this poses, constantly having to maneuver around and eat. Very nice feel, very solid and quite fun. I can't really say anything bad about this game.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Mode enemy variations maybe? (then again who am I to talk? I hardly managed 3 enemies for my own game.... the time limit is a thing so don't take this as a critique, just a comment of a greedy gamer who wants more hahah) Maybe add sound effects for when you eat a plankton / worm vs when you eat a plastic.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
Huuuh! An andorid game, sure is rare to see games for mobile devices made for LD! Very cool! i just happened to have an andoird **Overall game impression:** Pretty simple and straight forward, very solid gameplay, didn't encounter any bugs and mechanics were obvious and easy to figure out without a need for instructions and such. Works well and could make for a great time killer on a phone. Good job! I really do like this game.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Better sound effects, maybe different balls which have different flight speed and such. Just to change up the gameplay a little bit.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**Overall game impression:** Definitely unique. Works well and is pretty fun to play surprisingly. Didn't expect a Phone Charging simulator to be quite as entertaining. Constantly having to keep an eye on several objects and such sure adds a very nice and interesting experience. If it was just few phones it'd have gotten boring really fast I think. Pretty fun overall, I enjoyed. Good sound effects (aside from the continues noise when phones are fully charged)
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Primary thing that needs to be addressed imho is the noise phones make when fully charged, instead you should've made it a beep that stops after 1 second or something. The continues noise is really annoying.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
Awesome!!!!
**Overall game impression:** A yet another momentum physics game, I am really impressed to see such. I honestly can't even imagine the mathematics it'd take so make such smooth momentum physics, impressed! Gameplay is pretty cool, it feels nice and straightforward. I really like the Pinging mechanics and a radar, as well as the ability to drill through walls and even upgrading, so many mechanics and features in an LD game is really impressive! My favorite part however was the filter over the game when you start running low on battery, more noise the lower the battery life to represent loss of signal, very cool little touch that I certainly appreciate. Well done! Really well done!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** better engine sound, current sound just dind't fit all that much.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
Should have called this- "escape from the planet of shits!" (reference to planet of apes since apes throw shit)
**Overall game impression:** THERE'S SHIT EVERYWHERE! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRx49-leiRE) lol. Best sh*t shoveling simulator i ever played in my life. Using it as fuel is glorious. Very good graphics and effects. Really neat sh*t physics.. Gameplay is pretty simple and straight forward, sh*t shoveling basically haha Pretty cool entry overall. Extra + for the sound effects. Good game!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** More variety to gameplay in some sense would be nice. Like having larger sh*t piles fall on your ship from the sky which can squish and kill your player for example.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**Overall game impression:** The semi turn based movement similar to that of Crypt of Necrodancer really impressed and surprised me, didn't expect to see movement like that. Enemies have a good path finding too. The movement and path finding probably took a lot of time. The spells work well and are pretty cool to use. I like the idea. The game idea is very cool and I expected more robots and machines when I saw the theme but the more games I play the more unique and cool ideas like this I see which I didn't expect and love. Very interesting and catchy game. Well done! I really like the skill animations btw :D the lightning is my favorite
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Sound effects would be nice.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**First of all:** I really loved the ship building mechanics. That's pretty unique and impressive mechanic to have in a game for Ludum Dare. I was surprisingly pleased. Well done.
**Overall game impression:** A nice and simple opening / introduction screen to inform you about the game and gameplay. I made a similar one and always appreciate a game that has one of those. The movement, I wish there was a side movement to allow more freedom but overall it wasn't something that made me dislike the game. It was pretty fun and definitely unique. Also very addicting once you get a hang of the game. Been playing for way longer than I care to admit! xD
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Sound effects would definitely help but that's just an extra. I hardly had time for sound effects myself so I'm not gonna critique just on that. More freedom of movement would definitely help.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**Overall game impression:** I really like that there's a bit of a story to it. I also really enjoy colony building and resource management games and this is just that. It was very cool and interesting to play. Like I said, I love colony building and resource management games, so how could I not love this game? it's awesome. Sure there were some bugs but within 48 hours you've done a lot of work and should be proud of it. Everybody who's participating and done anything and submitted it should be proud! Anyways, pretty cool and fun game overall, fast paced and hardcore. Really good! The sounds are also fairly pleasant.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Having a tooltip when you mouse over the buildings saying what they do and what kind of resources they produce and use would help a lot!
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**First of all:** OOOOHHH! Another Defense type of game, so is mine! Wooo! Defense Buddies!!!
**Overall game impression:** Graphics are great, sounds are great, gameplay is smooth and creative. very coo and enjoyable. I liked it.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Visible score would definitely be a plus, as mentioned by @exr . After awhile more enemy types or maybe another level with more towers to recharge? Awesome overall)
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**First of all:** This is like Guitar Hero, with a badass fighter spaceship! haha
**Overall game impression:** Took me a moment to realize what to do, but once I got a hang of it, this game took me in for a long time. It's really fun, interesting, different and pleasant. I always liked games like this and so I sincerely enjoyed this. I spent a good 15 minutes or so playing this. My highest streak is 13 orbs :D who can top that? xD Great entry overall, very pleasant gameplay and audio, responsive controls and fun.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Have different colors for the energy orbs you collect based on sound they make (higher pitch to lower pitch and different color to match each! That'd be really cool. Also on the topic of colors, have the trail change color based on the last one you picked!)
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**Overall game impression:** Very fun and interesting. It's definitely a unique entry and I doubt there'll be another one quite like this that i'll see. I love this gameplay and game in general. Game sounds are great and graphics are great as well. Gameplay feels really good and solid. Very enjoyable and relaxing yet challenging game. This is your 10th entry? Allow me to be the first to say Congratulations on that anniversary :D
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Maybe have some kind of indicator like a bubble around the character showing at what range you can "extract" energy from the enemies? Or if not a bubble, some kind of laser pointer or something which attaches to enemy when u're within extraction range. That'd help. And the movement maybe just a little bit faster.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**Overall game impression:** I like the idea of going for a "recharge" to zzzap your enemies some more hahah :D The game is really short, possibly one of the shortest games i've played so far but that's not necessarily a bad thing. More levels with different designs would definitely be welcomed though. The movement and collision detection were all smooth. Graphics looked quite pleasant honestly and sound effects were fitting. Overall a pretty good game and I enjoyed it.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** More levels, that's about all.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**First of all:** To me it was pretty difficult to get the hang of the controls honestly. Took me awhile to realize it's the gravity pulling you and how to deal with it.
**Overall game impression:** A little on the hard side I'd say. It's definitely not easy fighting gravity and controlling the probe to push the light bulbs around. Very unique and interesting idea I think. Felt really cool and was really fun to play once I got the hang of it. Well made. The gravity pull must've been really hard to program.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Lower the gravity pull so you don't stick to objects as much maybe? Other than that not really. Pretty cool overall!
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**First of all:**THE CAKE IS A LIE!!! And I miss windows XP as well :(
**Overall game impression:** Over so, overall this was amazing experience and gameplay. It is very fun and innovating. The energy bar being in middle of the ship is very clever design! The sound effects and graphics are very good, really good but the voiced jokes as well as energy notifications make it a lot more awesome. Very good little touch. The gameplay is very straight forward and interesting(Tough Controls aren't, once I learned to use Space and Shift, it became a lot easier and more engaging). The ship controls and drifting with the momentum must've been hell to program. A really COOL touch is the leaderboard imho. I'm currently 2nd and 3rd places :P doubt i'll stop in the top for long when people start waking up and playing. But great job, awesome game!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Making shooting possible with holding the button would make it a little easier imho. Though who am I to take? I did that as well, press to shoot instead of hold to shoot hahah! Also mentioning Space and Shift in tutorial would help (or was it mentioned and I'm just silly?)
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**Overall game impression:** Pretty good humor and terrible puns which made me giggle. I approve. The game play is very nice and smooth, really well done and pretty fun to play. I really enjoyed it. Glorious ending! I really liked everything about this game, great art, sound effects, gameplay, characters and even a story. Though this would fit a theme "running out of bones" more...hah.... okay I'm just gonna leave, my jokes are terrible **Suggestions and comments on improvement:** I think having jump on Space as well would make it a little easier to play (for me at least). And also having a button or a key to press to show previous message / hint would be nice (for example I accidentally on first level skipped through the part about Gargoyles so I had to restart over since I couldn't pull up any hint or anything so didn't know what to do xD). And lastly, the imp blends with background too much, making him like maroon or some other color to make him standout a little would help. I didn't notice the imp right away.
also, is it just me or does the skeleton look like papyrus from the undertale? :O a reference?
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**First of all:** This is a game I saw a post about and left your profile open to play later, I really got curious to see what you did here. And I actually won! I almost never win at Tic Tac Toe xD
**Overall game impression:** Good graphics and animations. The AI seems to be pretty standard difficulty of any Tic Tac Toe game AI, which is good. It's just like any other Tic Tac Toe game really, which are always fun. I think you could have done a little better on implementing a theme as all you did was put a timer on the gameplay, but you wrote your own Tic Tac Toe game, something I never managed or did so good job! I think it's a very good game and well made, while there's not much feel to the "energy" aspect, it's still cool.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Better implementation of the theme would definitely make it better and some basic sound effects would be a nice addition.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
**Overall game impression:** My god this is fun!!!! I played 3 times, first time got to level 5, 2nd to 7 and 3rd try to 15. I'll come back and play more later. This is really fun! Good job. I really like how you use power to rotate and such and I love that it's all generated, new challenge every time! Very cool! Good job. Super fun and very entertaining. I love puzzle games!!!!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** I'd love to see a "restart level" and having like 3 batteries which power a "restart level" which get used up every time you press "restart a level" and every 5 levels or so obtaining a new battery to power "restart a level" would be nice! Other than that I have no complains or other recommendations
p.s. check out my game as well please
**First of all:** the amount of energy on the top left dind't seem to neither increase nor decrease for me and the counter for batteries also didn't seem to work?
That's the things I noticed.
**Overall game impression:** it seems like you spent a significant portion of the level design and I certainly appreciate that, the levels are quite nicely designed and I always like a good maze / labyrinth themed game. Having to find 3 batteries which are like keys to finish the level is also very neat, not just a - find the exit. I did quite enjoy roaming around as a robot seeking the batteries through the levels
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** less drum and more soothing music would fit better for background music(Think about a game called: Talos the Principle), but it's nice to have at least something and don't take this as a critique, just a comment. Smaller character or higher camera (as it currently stands you look at the middle of your character, seems counter intuitive. Adjust camera to be behind and above or over one of the character shoulders perhaps? or keep it as it is and make a small character. Either of those would make the game feel a lot better).
It took me a couple of tries to get a hang of it. I like that it (generated? or just really long map? Not sure) feels like an endless challenge for as long as you can survive, very cool. Always a good thing to add a score counter, appreciate that. Took me a couple of tried to figure out what gives and what takes the HP away and such but overall very cool and fun game to play. Definitely enjoyed. Good job :D
Whoa! the art was mind blowing, i loved it. Really amazing loving and beautiful! The music and audio in general was very cool too. Movement animations and enemies and models all looked very nice and fine tuned! Animations speeds were pretty perfect too. I loved the point and click mouse controls :D was the only game i played so far with point and click controls
The visuals were super impressive and beautiful The idea was very cool and well done. I think the biggest thing I had issues with was that I kept thinking that you could walk up and down xD The audio was very nice and fitting too and the gameplay was quite unique and interesting. I enjoyed it and I think it's very well done for the short time that LD gives.
At least you gave a warning for the dizziness / epilepsy, I appreciate that as someone who gets dizzy easily, but I'm brave :D little diziness won't stop me from playing other peoples awesome games, so here's my feedback (the game didn't make me dizzy by the way, just worth mentioning this I think) I loved the shrinking playfield and the amount of enemies on which you had to keep an eye and avoid as well as shoot. The game felt very engaging and fun to play. I really enjoyed it a lot. The controls were nice and smooth and I had no problems figuring out what to do and how to do it, and that's always a good thing imho. The sound effects were nice and fitting as well, overall a great and fun game.
Really cool idea and gameplay. Art style is also very nice and the game is quite challenging actually, much more challenging than i expected it to be. The gravity changing the direction was a very cool mechanic i loved it a lot. The sound effects were nice and fitting as well. Overall really cool and engaging as well as entertaining game. Took me several tries per level and that was awesome.
I admire spiders...but at the same time I fear them and wish to stay away from them and sadly this game didn't change that. First impression I had of this game - hahahaha I love the voice - HOLY SHIT! A SPIDER!! hahah that was such a cool intro! I loved the voice over narration? or just background talking? not sure how to call it but it was really cool. Sound effects are awesome and perfectly fitting. The variety of obstacles / things trying to kill you mae it really fun and challenging (i didn't notice the newspapers fir 2 times.....) gameplay is as straight forward as it gets, avoid things that try to kill you and eat things XD Very fun and entertaining game to play, very good graphics and sound effects. I also give the voice actors a credit for the hilarious background talking and hilarious dialogues. My favorite dialogue part was- "Why all this violence? what did it do to you? ~ IT EXISTS!!!!" hahahaha :D pretty much reaction of every person everto a spider xD or, mostly everyone. Overall really cool and fun to play game, loved it! p.s. it's definitely worth mentioning the extra attention to details such as the shaking of the table and the spray effect
WoW! This game is super polished and very well done in the short time of the LD. The art style gave me the AWWW's and the OWWWHH's ! the planets just look so cool and adorable :D hahaha The gravity around planets changing the trajectory of the asteroid seems like a really complicated mechanic and I really loved it, gave the game a lot more complexity and reason to think about how the astroid will behave after u hit it when it passes by the planets. very fun to play and so many levels too, I was really impressed by that and by the game overall. Controls are very smooth and simple, the gameplay is very straightforward, the sounds and background music fit the game really well and are soothing. I enjoyed everything about this game! Very well done, good job guys!
I think one thing which made me smile the most was the other planets freaking out when you killed one of the planets ahhahaha. Awesome!
This was a very fun and very very engaging game. I really loved the shrinking playfield, made it a lot more intense and fun. I really enjoyed the enemies and especially loved how there were even enemies which shot back at you, that made the game a lot more engaging. I really enjoy the last stand tower defense feel this game delivers and how engaging it is. Very well done overall. The controls are very smooth and intuitive as well as responsive, no problems there. Sound effects were fitting too and graphics were very pleasant and easy on the eye. Good job! Overall I loved this game
This was really fun to play. Very clever and creative. loved the graphics and the enemies. 10/10 would become a space ranger with a nice and wide variety of weapons protecting epic tree on a planet from all kinds of things again. The gameplay was very smooth, the enemy design and weapon designs were simply awesome. I like that it doesn't have levels but just an infinite spawn, a survival mode :D very cool. Unlocking new weapons (or well, getting ammo for them) from killing enemies was a very nice touch. Gameplay and controls are very smooth, graphics are nice and weapon sounds were very fitting. Very good game overall
No game download link to be seen. Please fix that
This is a very nicely done and designed platformer with really nice art style and animations. I didn't quite understand what the enemies were suppose to represent??? but besides that this was a very fun short platform and if it had more levels i'd play them. I think the final level with the broom was a really cool designing and giving the enemies and the broom speed same as the mouse so you can actualyl get away was a very good design, the jumping was very easy and straight forward. I only have complains about the sound effects, could do with some nice sounds and background music and also remove jump from W key and keep it on space only, at least to me that matters. It was confusing when my character started jumping when I pressed W, it's not a bad design i just thought you could climb on the flowers and instead started jumping haha. Other than that, very cool and simple game. Good touch on adding the one heart to pick up.
10/10 would hide in a trashcan again. Now on a more serious note, I really enjoyed this game and the message it delivers. Small world is indeed a saying implying that you will meet people you know / don't want to talk to if you go out whether you like it or not. I really enjoyed the theme and the message sent by the game as well as the devs view and perspective on the whole "small world" aspect, its very different from my perspective and idea and also very different from most others, I don't think i'll see another entry that represents the theme "small world" like this. Very nice.
The gameplay is straightforward and is as simple as it gets. The music doesn't quite fit either to be honest, but that's just me being super picky xD This is a cool concept and fun game. Another thing i'd complain about is the scoring system, making it in seconds rather than miliseconds or whatever it's running in would make more sense.
This is actually pretty neat little thing and fun to play. I did enjoy it and I agree with your description, this is worth continuing, it's a pretty cool concept and I love the isometric style. The controls are pretty straight forward although i'd suggest also adding wasd controls, it's just quite intuitive to have controls on WASD imho. Other than that, wish you had time to add the Block placement and sound effects to this. Very cool concept overall, well done!
The controls are super floaty, for me at least the character keeps moving even when I let go of the move button, was weird. The general game idea seems to be inspired by the cookie clicker and similar games where it's all about just building up more resources and faster obtaining of the resources :D which are SUPER addictive and honestly with some proper textures and graphics and fine tuning the controls, add some sounds and this would make for a great fun addicting game running on the side that u just need to check it once in awhile :D Very neat
First thought was- OHH MY GOD THE GRAPHICS!!! The graphics are amazing, I simple love the art style. One little detail which I loved a lot about the graphics is the moving lantern on the back of the character, very cool. The character model and enemy models it all looks REALLY good and awesome, environment looks really great as well, amazing graphics. However, one thing I didn't like, as a person with motion sickness, the background animation and movement actually made me a little dizzy and motion sick.... So that might be something to look into and check with people who have motion sickness if you're designing a game. Just saying. Other than that it looks really good, maybe make a tickbox to make background animates or not animated. The background music is very nice too, I wish there were sounds when fighting the enemies, also some kind of indicator of characters health and enemy health should be visible somewhere imho, and also what's that timer on the top? Last complain I have is the shielding isn't very defined, I couldn't really tell if character was shielding or not, should make that more defined too. Other than that, movement and music and gameplay are all very smooth and go together very nicely. COuld be turned into a very cool side scrolling action game with some jumping puzzles or something :D i liked this a lot.
This was truly unique and not something I ever expected to see! Awesome! simply AWESOME! I just have no other way to express my emotions I'm sorry. I wish there was some sound, like some calm background music and a sound every time you click something. But this was so unique and interesting i can't not give this game a 5/5. The hand drawn on paper graphics are really unique and cool idea, while the drawings aren't detailed or precise, it felt really cool and interesting that I loved it. Only complaint really is the lack of sounds but very awesome overall.
first impression was the cool animated GUI and start screen, very nice little touch. The camera movement being attached to the character but not entirely, ability to look around with camera while still folllowing character is VERY COOOL! I loved that so much! Also i really enjoyed the very cool microscope view, very nice. The audio is very nice and fitting as well! The sounds of the text appearing was also very nice and the overall background music having that military'ish battle theme in it was very very nice and level desing as well as enemy locations and paths were very well made and designed! very very good game and fun to play. Reminds me a lot of old school stealth games (after reading your description, yeah i can feel the metal gear solid vibe! very awesome) and the idea of the "small world" being micro-level is very cool too. Loved it, one of my favorite entries and games.
GUNS! LOTS OF GUNS! GUNS! hahaha :D 10/10 would play as a donut planet shooting out giant moon sized cannon balls out of huge cannons again. Also... CANNON OP PLZ NERF! Really fun and had me playing for like an hour hahaha :D Nice GUI and menu, the merchant is AWESOME, i love that you made several different planets to pick from and different kinds of guns to choose from as well as special items. Very well made, I loved it. Very nice sounds and very nice and easy on the eye graphics and visuals. Cheers!
loved the sounds / music and also the settings to increase / decrease the volume of sounds, very nice touch that I really appreciate. I loved the ability to choose character and even a faction. I really loved the theme and the beautifully constructed graph of the system. Very cool game and concept, I am a huge fan of strategy games so this game is one of my favorites so far out of all the ones I've played thus far. The simple art style really is not a turn off in any way and you even designed AI players, very nice! Pretty straight forward and engaging, I really loved that. Overall one of the best entries I've seen so far. Good job!!!
loved the reference art style of one of the ships to the Millenium Falcon! and another one referencing Star Treks Voyager! :D Very nice and easy on the eye art style. To me that means a lot and I honestly don't think I managed to achieve that in my game, I'm terrible at art and my art in the game is quite toxic to some people I imagine. :( but yours is very nice and soothing. I wish there were a lot more sounds, like a sound each time the projectile hits an enemy or is even being shot as well as a sound when the planet gets hit (there are online sound generators you could use for that but i understand sometimes you just don't have the time for it :D) other than that the idea and gameplay are very simple and straight forward but also really cool and entertaining. Very nice. not much sound, not really any humor besides the reference to the millenium falcon, it's pretty nice and relaxing but i'll admit it gets repetitive. Don't let the rating make you feel down, this is a very nice, interactive and fun game considering the short time that the LD gives us to make a game, but rating is honest. Very good though, in my opinion this is a very fun game with good art. Good job!
Nice audio, especially loved the little touches such as text appearing with sound (the sound could be a little quieter, it's a little sharp and loud imho) and nice attention to detail such as different sound when walking through water and such. I like the amount of objects to interract with. The idea of using ladder to climb between planets is super cool :D i really liked that. Didn't expect to see something like that. Very nice environments and I do like the art style, it's very soothing and easy on the eye, imho only thing i'd complain about as far as art goes is walking sideways sprites. But besides that it's very nice and fun little game. A lot more things to interract with than i expected so definitely deserves a high rating. Good job.
i do like the multi choice and nice simple story. The art style is also very simplistic and also very nice and soothing to the eye. I also really liked the background being purple instead of black, imho it makes it a lot easier on the eyes. Very good overall, made me smile. Nice game!
the controls need a little work, seems a little slow to react, might just be me though, other than that, the theme was pretty cool and kind of close to my thought on- Small world. A common idea for this theme was a small world and a huge character, but you took a different approach making it inside of a mouth, I liked it. Also, cool animations, I really loved the animations and models. Need sounds and some kind of score system and this would be great to play for fun and relax.
very fun and clever. I honestly have nothing to say against it, other than i didn't really like the music, but don't mind my criticism about music. Other than that i was cool I got a score of 80 :D very fun and chill game. I especially loved the redirecting of projectiles, very nicely done and smooth!
straight up hilarious xD i got a good giggle out of this game :D cheers. I gotta admit i really liked the lighting, very good lighting, and I liked the little story and narration going on, gave it a very nice feel. All in all it's simple and fun platformer. Only one serious criticism I'd have is (besides animations, but nobody expects perfect graphics made within 48 hours :D haha) the only real criticism I have is sound, i honestly think the sound doesn't fit the game, needs something fast paced and pumping, a little techno like would fit better in my opinion. I also wish the enemies had sounds while shooting.
couple of things i'd suggest is 1- making a better entry with explanation on the controls and the goal of the game and 2- making background look like a starry night sky would look better. Other than that, the game is pretty simple and straight forward. Could use some sounds and some kind of end game / finish. It feels like the game is just infinite score stacking which is nice but at the same time gets repetitive quickly, so as I said, could use some kind of goal and finish. Cool concept though, seems more like a proof of concept or just a test of mechanics though, could definitely be improved to be made into a fun game.
This gave me some tron vibes :D i loved the art style and the retro look and feel of the game. The idea is very cool and unique as well. Sound effects and background music were very fitting and smooth. I liked this game a lot overall :D i spent way more time than I thought I would playing this and will come back to play it again later. Really cool and over time gets pretty challenging. Controls were nice and smooth as well. Very good
Good job guys :D very fun to play, im enjoying it xDDD glorious LE QUACK GAME!!! xDD

Played through twice. Lots of fun. Great voice acting :D too bad I can't rate because I didn't finish mine but it was fun
