I always like games that contain a message to the players and you did a great job on that one, also Great job on the graphics. Movement was very smooth and it was fun to dodge the sharks.
But somehow it started lagging very fast(maybe I did something wrong) and also the live/energy/hunger bar decreased incredibly fast so that I was hard to stay alive longer then 30 seconds.

Apparently I'm drawn to plastic like a magnet! I could swear a few times I died to plastic without touching it, but oh well. The game kind of clubs you over the head with it's message. It's a message worth hearing though at least. I'm not sure how it fits the theme though, being I always die to plastic or being eaten.

Great, great, great message. Just the idea deserves an award.

It took me a while to realize some of the mechanics, like your health depleting faster the more plastic you eat. In my case, I probably got confused when you mentioned 'starving', but the meter's also there for oxygen (in the end just a health-meter).
I like the music, but some more sound-FX could maybe also help. Graphics are also nice
Also, if the message is important, why are sharks so hard to evade? (At least I thought so...)
I liked the message and artwork. Gameplay could be more balanced maybe. And also i get the same thing other people mentioned. Game gets laggy after some time.
Solid work, keep it up!

**First of all:** A FISH GAME? I really didn't expect this... Creativity of people participating in Ludum Dare sure is an amazing thing. When I thought about Running out of energy, i really didn't expect to see a fish game hahaha XD Incredible innovation.
**Overall game impression:** the gameplay is smooth, I didn't encounter any bugs, very straight forward and basic. To prevent it from getting repetitive and boring you added larger fish / sharks that try to eat you. Very cool. I like the challenge this poses, constantly having to maneuver around and eat. Very nice feel, very solid and quite fun. I can't really say anything bad about this game.
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Mode enemy variations maybe? (then again who am I to talk? I hardly managed 3 enemies for my own game.... the time limit is a thing so don't take this as a critique, just a comment of a greedy gamer who wants more hahah) Maybe add sound effects for when you eat a plankton / worm vs when you eat a plastic.
p.s. check out my game as well please.
Thank you all for your feedback and suggestions on improvement so far. Semms like overall you liked the gameplay and the massage behind the game, that was my only goal. I did recognize the lag when sharks attack you, but i didn't manage to fix it, sorry for that. Also, i had no time to edit the spawning of plastic, so that you don't spawn in plastic at the beginning. Anyways, i'm happy about what came out See you next time
I couldn't press the play button either with mouse nor keyboard in my windows10/surface 4. Can't evaluate.

I really liked this. The controls feel a bit finnicky because of the small hitboxes and its environmental message feels like it invades the game a bit too much. I seem to inevitably die when I eat a single piece of plastic, which is pretty easy to accidentally do. Other than that I don't have many negative things to say. The graphics are really nice, the song is pretty good and the gameplay feels like Ecco. I especially liked that you can jump out of the water. Really nice touch.
Good work overall.
Really enjoyed the game, great graphics and music. The only problem I have is with how easy it is to die. No matter how hard I tried the shark always seemed to get me (shark has to big of a hit box?) and then eating only one plastic will kill you. Great game overall but I would lower the difficulty and add a score counter.

Good job on the message. For me Sea Life was more about getting the message across than the game play before of how things were balanced. It did that for me in the short ~5 minutes of the game I played.
I thought this game was interesting. I like the art style, and the music is pretty great! But I feel like the gameplay falls flat. It seems like eating one piece of plastic kills you after a short period of time, rather than instantly, and there's no way to stop it? And I can't seem to figure out how to avoid the meany fishes. I liked the message you were sending with the plastic. Overall, pretty good job!
Great game, great message! Enjoyed the mechanic. The map seemed a little small, and I seemed to jitter around the edges. Could probably be a little more balanced, or I could just get better at the game. Great work!

It's a nice looking game. You presented the message in a funny way. The map just seems a little small, apart from that it's real fun to play.
Awesome! It is always good to see games adding values to our lives with some message. :)

That was a neat little concept! I enjoyed the premise of it and that is got progressively harder as you went along. A couple small points, it felt like the 'dying from plastic' message occurred when you didn't eat any plastic as well as when your health bar ran out. It also felt as though the hitboxes were a little loose. Other than that, I really enjoyed the music and the mood, it pulls you into a neat little game! Keep up the good work! :)
Damn, those sharks are fast! The odds were rather stacked against the poor fish as I found it very difficult to keep him alive for any length of time. Then again, I suspect that was the whole point. Nice game.
