A very fun game and good homage! The game was simple to play, ran smoothly & looks very nice. Music was great, sound effects were good and features like the chest outline when able to interact & marty holding gold after a 5 pickups added a lot. Good job!
Thanks, @bocodillo! I almost didn't make it!

The game is really quite fun. Really simple and seems to work 100% on Linux. I liked it.

Nice game, although better graphics would be good and a quit button
@qookiezz Thanks! I'm relieved the Linux version works so well. @game-coder28 Thanks for the feedback! I completely forgot about making a quit button (oops). To quit, press Alt+Enter then close the window (I think).
I really like the idea of increasing the remaining time by putting the gold into the chest!
@anaconda-games Thanks! Not sure if it's really obvious, but the time it gives you for each gold piece gets smaller and smaller the more gold you've put in (the equation is ```[gold you're putting in]/[total gold you've already put in]``` seconds).
Amazing :D I love how his legs are bent way over the human limits when he runs :D
Graphics are great. The only 2 flaws I see in the game are 1. that it is quite hard to distinguish the distance between player and objects and 2. that after hitting a rock or worm you lose gold but it still counts towards the end score... probably intended but kinda bothered me.
All in all, great game ! I would love to see some of your work at next LD :)
Thanks @x-budsterized-x! The gold you lose when tripping doesn't count towards the end score. Your end score is determined by how much gold you put in the chests. Thanks for the feedback!

Well, it's a solid and functional endless runner. I like how you actually have to deposit the gold every now and then, rather than just hoarding it endlessly like on most games of its type. I mean, realism is not the point at any given moment, but it adds some extra interactivity.
Also, it might just be me, but I didn't really feel slower by having more gold. At times, I thought I lost whatever I had on me for no reason, but it might have been rocks that hid behind gold, I dunno. Still, this is a good compo entry. As stated by people before me, a quit button or just closing on Esc would have been welcome.
In behalf of my team, good luck on the compo! Keep up the good work! :whale:
@moski Thanks for the feedback! The speed of the game is determined by the amount of gold you're carrying over 60 (i.e. when you're carrying 60 gold you can't move). It's more of an incentive to dump your gold into the chests than it is a mechanic. Thanks again!

Right on the theme, and a rocking soundtrack. Would have liked to see more gameplay mechanics, but what was there was fun. Had trouble closing the game as well, maybe something with gamemaker. Great work!
@solluxx I'm actually uploading a version where you can press Q to quit. Oversight on my part. The soundtrack is what inspired me to make the game (I was about ready to quit, then I made that, and got back in the game). Thanks for the feedback!

A creative spin on those runner games with the chests on the side. Liked the artwork. Good job! :)
Thanks @smogen!

Pretty cool, love the idea of off-loading your gold every now and then so you aren't weighed down. It's simple and it's engaging. The controls were tight and worked well. Loved the music as well. Nice project!
@wheffle Thanks so much!
A well-made runner game. Liked the art and the gimmick, and good use of the theme. The music seemed a bit intense, but that's a minor, nitpicky gripe. You got me to play it a few times, so great work!
@cpttritium Thanks! I had actually never recorded anything on an electric guitar before, so I'm always interested in what other people thought of the music track.
A really great game! I love the soundtrack!
@noethelazydev Thanks!
This was a cool game. Great idea about hoarding and having to stash the bars on the coffrets to regain time. The rocks on the floor looked to me like bread and I thought I would get stamina if ate them. Took me a couple of times to understand that I was losing the gold xD Maybe some better feedback could be given about when the bars were taken away from me, due to rocks/snakes or stashing it? The art was a little derpy, but the animations were funny. The audio initially was cool, but as it kept playing it dragged a little and was tiring to hear.
Overall cool concept, funny and simple, I think you achieved an entertaining game. Congratulations :)
@saramartins You nailed my own impressions of the game exactly. Thanks for the feedback!
The music really set the mood well. It made me feel like the adventurer was pretty bad ass (even without the Indiana Jones inspiration). Also, your game very well could have been named Morty Graw, as the main character reminds me of Morty from Rick and Morty XD. Stellar job on the art too. Maybe next steps for the game would be to add more obstacles to maybe jump over or slide under.
Thanks, @chipmonkey! The name Marty Graw is actually a pun on the holiday Mardi Gras.
Late to the review party, but here I am anyway! Nice entry. Its not fancy and doesn't seem to try to be. An endless runner, simple as that. But that gave you a lot of flexibility to work with, and I like what you've achieved. Audibly(is this the right word?) and graphically it feels pretty polished and I like the slowing down mechanic. Good job :D
Thanks @urnext7634!

Neat, and works. Very nice sound effects and easy on the eyes + pleasant graphics. Worked well. Great entry overall i'd say
Thanks, @vkmicro!
