Good entry, cool gameplay! You could make it more nervous / dynamic by accelerating hero & enemies movements and by adding small feebdacks like screen shaking. Keep up the good work

This game is really fun to play. The main menu buttons were all messed up on the resolution I played at. Not sure what resolution it was designed for. The graphics, audio, and most importantly - gameplay, were all very nice. Good job.
Hey man, I'm pretty sure you stopped by my Twitch stream over the weekend! Really excited to see that you got everything all set for compo! I thought that the enemies get a bit tough as you get further into the game and would have liked to see some more significant weapon upgrades. Overall I definitely enjoyed myself while playing my game and I thought your artwork was really good.
Congratulations on making a complete game!
Fun game! More enemy types and upgrades would be cool but overall awesome game :)
The graphics served their purpose (the player gave off some very obvious Master Chief vibes at least to me), but I would have liked a slightly higher resolution background. The music and sound was nice and added quite a bit to the mood. The gameplay was functional but I'd definitely say it lacked the punch it needed to be super fun. Adding things like screen shake, more meaty sounds and the like would have helped a ton. I especially had an issue with the audio-visual feedback for the player getting hit as there literally didn't seem to have any. When you couple that with the fact the aliens seemed to have way too large of an attack range it didn't feel satisfying facing them. I definitely think that if you address these issues as well as add more enemies and upgrades you could have a solid foundation for a wave-based shooter on your hands.
Pretty fun version of the arena shooter genre. My main criticism was that I would have really preferred a consistent resolution between the main character, the enemies and the background, it felt a bit jarring to me. Aside from that decent art and music. I found the toughness of the enemies ramped up a bit too quickly so I died pretty fast before having much chance to make use of the upgrade system (which I thought was a nice addition). The falling apart animation on death was a nice touch. Good job
Cool game. Nice wave based mechanics. Nice job!
The game was pretty nicely put together, but I think had some pretty serious balancing issues. The waves ramped up very fast in terms of difficulty, I think it would have felt a little better had it ramped up slower, maybe throw more enemies at the player rather than a small amount with large amounts of HP (I'm not a big fan of bullet-sponge type stuff). The movement felt very floaty, almost making it feel somewhat awkward and difficult to control. Finally, I'm not sure if I was taking a lot of damage throughout, or if I just got one shot by something, but losing felt pretty anti-climatic. I didn't know I was about to lose if I was losing HP consistently, and if I wasn't, it is pretty bad design to have a player get one shot. I think having visual (and preferably also audio) feedback on when a player gets hit is a necessity for this type of game.
This is a really great entry! Its very fun for what it is. The graphics and animation are great, allowing for a few bugs now and then. Sometimes the sprite for the enemy guts acted funny from time to time, like one rotated very slowly clockwise, another time one was in front of the pickup. The only real issue holding the game back is when you get hit.
The collision of the enemy attack reaches outside the enemy texture.
There could stand to be more feedback when the player is hit.
Other than those two things the game was brilliantly done under a strict time constraint. Great Work! If you plan to add anything on in the future, more guns, enemies, obstacles could make this game really shine!
I had fun, and it was certainly quite difficult. I think upgrading the gun might be the way to go, as speed doesn't help much when you end up with a lot of aliens warding you away from batteries. There was a decent amount of strategy here, and the sound was a nice touch.
Really fun game, but needs some polishing as @rikoclon said. Good Job!
Solid top down shooter. I think the movement could use some work. The movement takes too much time to build momentum and causes the game to feel less responsive. Other than that the character art, sound, and game play were all super solid and really well done for a compo entry! Good job.
Movement polishing is the only thing i'd like to see changed (i disliked the floaty movement)
Other than that, graphics were cool and worked well, gameplay was nice and game overall worked well and played nicely. Was quite fun. Well done. (extra plus for rotating with the mouse and shooting by rotating with the mouse xD that's something a lot of people said I should've added to my game but i didn't have time for that xD so + for that, gg)
