Your link to the game doesn't seem to work
Yeah, the link isn't working!
404 not found
Sorry about that, it should be working now.
You need to include data folder too, the exectubale you posted on itch.io is not usable.
At least the WebGL works :)
It was interesting experience to say the least, altough I didn't quite catch the theme :/
this game is so peaceful. I forgot that I could jump over a block and push it the other direction... I pushed it off the other way a few times first
This was amazing! Although the graphics weren't something to brag about, the music was great (even if it was just a loop); the game was funny, it was a creative twist on the theme, very innovative and overall fun. The only problem I had with the game was how sometimes you jump lower than other times. Overall a great game!
Kinda fun, wish there was more levels. Some of the levels ended up playing weirdly and the music restarted every time I failed apart from that the game was pretty good
Awesome game! Most original take on the theme that I've seen xD The concept is very original too, but I think you could have gone a little further level-design-wise. If the square forgets things, maybe make a level where he forgets how to walk (you can just jump and there are moving platforms that move you). Making the levels a little bigger, going deeper into the idea of forgetting an ability. The level design was not bad, though. The learning curve was good, too. The last level was a bit hard. Maybe a level about moving stuff to get used to it before would've made the learning curve even softer. Good job, you're gonna win the "theme" ratings!
Oh my god, this is the most innovative game I've played so far! The graphics need lots of work, but the idea and gameplay still carry it very far. Good job!
Enjoyed this a lot! The web build was a bit janky and unresponsive for me, but the creativity and mood of the game made up for it.
As others have pointed out, the visuals could need a bit of a touch. I mean, I have nothing against minimalist boxy styles like this but having some effects and so on would go a long way. Maybe even being very radical and consider changing the Unity default background color for the camera ;D
Had some great ideas. It felt pretty awkward that sometimes you could hug walls and jump up them and sometimes not. And yeah, the jumping felt pretty unconsistent as well. Maybe the walls you can/can't hug could be different colors to indicate that.
Same goes for the "character", it could have some visual indications of what it can or can't do (and some of those messages that pop up went away too fast imo). Right now on every level I had to do a check for jumping/double jumping etc but maybe that was your aim all along with this "losing powers" theme.
Good job!
I know this is kind of the theme here but the controls did not do what I wanted. Sometimes I would not jump while running, other times it worked so this seems to be a bug and not a feature.
I like the puzzles that I have encountered so far.
What was strange is that even without hitting the green thing, the intro levels would sometimes just throw me to the next level.
Great music.
So frustrating, sometimes you can jump and another time not -.-
Nice puzzle game, even if I haven't finish it :( I loose when it says : FOKK
Maybe work more en sprites? Quit minimalist.
Good job!
Surprisingly fun. I realize I had been playing after a while. Very entertaining, and the levels well designed. Great job!
Short but sweet, this really kept me engaged the whole time. With short levels, (re)learning the controls was frustrating, either. Nice, innovative puzzling. For me, the sudden deceleration that would sometimes happen was a little off-putting, but otherwise, the controls were fine.
music norm
This was way better than I expected. The forgetting things mechanic is fun and makes the simple levels more interesting. But I really wish you added SOME graphics or at least changes the camera clear color or something so it didn't look so blatantly default Unity.
This was fun! The block's commentary brought so much character to a simple set-up. I found the controls difficult.. but I enjoyed the fact that the block also yelled "SHIT" when it fell off the edge.
Really nice concept and I thought the controls were mostly great! Moving the white blocks with w was sort of funky and I found it too frustrating trying to land on the black cubes. But overall, great work!
this is a fun game really, kinda "thomas was alone" mood , love it! something to improve will be maybe graphics, I know that the cube thing work always but you have a character with emotions, maybe you can dig on that with the look of the cube. Thinking maybe you could draw something everytime the cube learn something.. you know as feedback for the player. Great entry we got here!
It a good game, the art could have been better, but it a compo game, and it is really hard to do everything by yourself, the concept is cool the controls are good, and the level design is good making the game retty challenging. Good game !
Cool concept. Liked the minimalist approach except the choice of one color. Good level design.
Nice use of theme here  I also like the mood.
The tutorial was well done, but I found myself occasionally stuck and when this happens it's just often unclear if it's either *intentional* (that is, part of the main gimmick) or whether it's just the games 'rough edges' as an LD-compo game. (Well, or just my lousy platform skills...)
I'm not sure what can be done about that, but unlike some of the other commenters I thought that not knowing beforehand what was forgotten is part of the games appeal: after all, you don't get a message when you've forgotten something in real life either
I found it intriguing how the rules changed from level to level, although sometimes it took me a while to figure out what was going on. Soothing music!
Nice game mechanic. The "dialogs" really made me laugh sometime. Good job.
Fun game, with a cool concept and play with the theme. The art was minimalist, and I don't think that changing it will necessarily improve the game. Keeping it simple doesn't distract you from the chore mechanics. I did feel sad for the little cube. It was hard to understand the mechanics that changed between levels. It was really fun to play ;)
Fun game! But the theme is not really there, yes I read the introduction of the game but it still doest seem to have the theme in it.
It had humor tho, I smiled a bit playing! I kinda wish it was longer
Well done! I like the simplistic art, and the music was really good too! Nice concept, with some more time you can really make an awesome product out of this. Also, the "dialogue" is well written, had a lot of fun reading it. The only complaint I have is that sometimes you can hang from walls, and sometimes you don't, and there is no visual indication for that.
Overall a very nice entry!
**First of all:** Thank you for your feedback and for checking out my game. Appreciate it!
**THIS GAME IS A PRIMARY EXAMPLE OF HOW A GOOD GAME DOESN'T NEED GRAPHICS TO BE GOOD!**
**Overall game impression:** It has no graphics, but it doesn't need graphics. This is an incredible puzzle game with great little mechanics and it works perfectly. I didn't encounter any bugs and had a lot of fun playing through the game and getting through every level. Like I said, this is a great example of the fact that a good game doesn't need good graphics to be good, graphics are just an eye candy but this game is amazing without the need for graphics. Sound effects are nice and pleasant, not too loud or annoying, I think it works well with the game and gameplay. I also love the mood the game sets with the little 'commentary' from your character. I really enjoyed this.
I will however mention that I don't see much fitting to the theme, didn't see much energy or running out of it going on here but it doesn't make the game any less pleasant and enjoyable! Well done! Really well done!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Besides making it fit the theme somehow I don't think there's much I can suggest. It is great as it is, levels have an amazing variety and the mechanics are perfect, work great and enjoyable as well as smooth. Good job! Thumbs up!
I really enjoyed playing this game. The mood and the audio are amazing and made it a great experience. Congratulations to the team
Fun game, but I do agree that either better graphics or more effects would help it a bit. I am not really sure where the running out of power theme really fits, but I enjoyed playing.
Neat concept! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIFo4JBAdvc
I think I don't get the point of the game.
Perhaps because I got stuck too often.
Perhaps its rules change every other platform.
Perhaps it's jumping physics is not very good.
But I certainly didn't like there are some long levels without checkpoints.
Otherwise it could be fine.
Very clever idea, I liked the game a lot. I had several moment of surprise and discovery. The text message were fun, even if I sometimes didn't had time to read them. Even if it's interesting to discover yourself what power have been taken from you, it was sometimes frustrating. I also think the idea could go a bit further thematically, making a parallel with illness or ageing perhaps. But the game was great, and I only missed an ending, keep up the good work.
Really nice game, but needs some polishing. Concept of gameplay is just awesome. Great Job!
When it says it may make the journey frustrating it means it! lol However, making someone think before acting is a good way to solve a puzzle and the idea is solid. Nice compo entry
Interesting take on puzzle platforming where you gain and lose different powers! Having to use different combinations of abilities for a certain level makes it a lot more engaging than just the normal fare of having everything at once. The music was nice and calm, pretty good fit, and I liked the square's comments about some things.
