LD53 — Delivery (8)

Mailbox Mayhem by braiizen 2023-05-02T17:43:46Z ♥ 0

Its really fun to crash around places and the controls feel pretty good. Some of the numbers on the side overlapped when I was playing and the crashing sound was a lot louder than the rest of the game, apart form that its great!

For some reason the game wouldn't load in the embedded player on both google chrome and firefox.

Delivery! NYC by Obe Dot 2023-05-02T17:21:32Z ♥ 4

Neat game, was fun flying around with the grappling hook instead of walking to objectives. Had the same issue as others where one of the objectives wasn't showing on the minimap. Found it in the end but it wasn't visible on the map

Grav-O-Delivery by XeduR 2023-05-02T17:15:12Z ♥ 1

Pretty hard but fun! The small satellites might be a bit too hard though 😄

Paul's Postal Assembly by Feraligatr 2023-05-02T17:09:32Z ♥ 2

Lots of fun and plays pretty well. Got slightly confused with the stamp step at first but figured it out. Graphics are nice looking as well!

Max Delivery by paul-sinnett 2023-05-01T12:24:37Z ♥ 2

Nice work, got a score of 9

Delivery Force by teadrinker 2023-05-01T10:57:54Z ♥ 2

Managed to break the ship at one point but I love the concept of this. One thing I did find difficult is when carrying the crates their weight would frequently pull you backwards overpowering the thrusters completely making it really had to control sometimes, I found it easier to just try and fling the crates into the right locations at the end 😄 Music was great and very fitting to the to look of the game

Lo-Fi Pizza Delivery Guy During Armageddon Trying To Earn $10000 To Buy A Car by deniskazantsev 2023-05-01T10:50:18Z ♥ 1

Super fast and hectic, loved it! Had a bit of a hard time keep count of how many pizzas I was carrying due to how fast everything was going.

Return To Sender by hacktic 2023-05-01T10:45:07Z ♥ 1

Pretty fun! Got tripped up by the place names towards the end, font size is a bit small when playing on the embedded version. The pacing felt good for the increase of difficulty

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres (4)

Circuitry by Jesper Fyhr Knudsen 2018-04-29T13:37:25Z ♥ 1

Pretty fun, took me a bit to work out you only had to type the word and not press enter. The music is pretty repetitive though

Devil's Doll by metamorphling 2018-04-23T14:57:03Z ♥ 0

The game seemed to be a bit too hard right at the start. Neat idea and implementation though

StarClick: RTS + Clicker by Lerg 2018-04-23T11:52:58Z ♥ 1

This game looks great and has pretty good music and sounds as well. I really love the art style. It took a bit to work out the game but once I did it was pretty fun!

LookYourFuel by theLudovyc 2018-04-23T11:51:34Z ♥ 1

Fun and hard. Took a while to get used to the controls (and even then I struggled). Good job

LD39 — Running out of Power (11)

Tax Rebel by LeReveur 2017-08-07T10:31:29Z ♥ 1

Fun idea for a game. The guards seem to see me when I don't think they should. WASD movement might have also been a better idea instead of pathfinding (although pathfinding may work better for mobile devices).

Power Struggle by Kriss 2017-08-07T09:31:28Z ♥ 0

The health/energy bars were really small so I couldn't see them that well. I never managed to build anything as I spent everything on keeping things working. The game itself is pretty good and the graphics look great.

There's No Place Like Home by Remzo 2017-08-05T15:35:00Z ♥ 2

Love the art style the game was pretty confusing however. I'm still not sure how you are meant to manage the shields and power the ship at the same time by juggling the plug. I always ended up getting hit.

Fun idea though

Decarathon by TurbotFish 2017-08-05T14:39:07Z ♥ 1

Amazing looking game, great game play and the music is alright too.

The first race left me confused on what to do as I was just thrown into it but apart from that the game was really fun.

Bear and Bee by ruerob-hyky 2017-08-05T14:31:14Z ♥ 0

Nice simple game. The movement felt a bit hard to control because of the large jumps with nothing to show how far you would go.

Ghost's End by austinspafford 2017-08-01T10:37:20Z ♥ 0

Pretty shader, its nice to see the pictures form

Current by erebus 2017-08-01T10:25:23Z ♥ 1

Nice game. The fact there is a timer (or there seems to be) wasn't clear at first but apart from that is was kinda fun

Trap in the dark by azziliz 2017-08-01T10:15:15Z ♥ 1

Note: Game doesn't run in chrome due to level being null, I had to use firefox instead

Got to level 55 before my hand got tired, fun little game. The initial level generation for the first 10 or so levels after level 9 ended up just placing the exit by the start, after that it was fine though. Gems seemed really rare and when they did end up in a level it was simpler to just ignore them and run for the exit instead. I love the idea though and the later mazes ended up pretty good.

Glitch by WhoDKnee 2017-08-01T09:52:54Z ♥ 1

Really pretty looking game and the controls are alright too.

I agree about the resolution making the game hard to read (plus gamejolt made playing the game even harder). Also the glitch effects happened far to often and left me with a bit of a headache afterwards :)

Forgetting Things by player2point0 2017-07-31T18:42:41Z ♥ 1

Your link to the game doesn't seem to work

Quoala by Goloso Games 2017-07-31T18:41:02Z ♥ 1

Nice idea for a game. I agree about the text being a bit slow, apart from that it was pretty good.

I noticed after I completed one run the 'Endings' screen showed number 5 twice and missed 1. ld39-0.png

LD38 — A Small World (24)

Quantum by rwoeltjes 2017-05-14T09:54:46Z ♥ 0

I enjoyed playing this but not being able to see my projectile made aiming a bit hard. Took me a while to get used to having to rotate to check all sides all the time but I got the hang of it towards the end.

Side note: this text was hard to read on my screen for me, maybe try a different font? hardtosee.png

Tiny Hero by arch-a-type 2017-05-14T09:46:28Z ♥ 1

Nice game, I feel like having movement instead of being attached to the mouse might have been interesting but I still found it kinda fun.

World Under Siege by BelowParallel_Ian 2017-05-12T09:49:22Z ♥ 0

Spin to win worked pretty well here 😄. Would have been nice if the planet shrinking had more animation to it instead of being a sudden jump.

Nanoground by Reiv 2017-05-12T09:43:30Z ♥ 1

Nice looking game but there isn't much to do. The spawning of the ants was weird as you started with a few and then ended up with one every now and again. The spawning of them was a pain as they could spawn above me, may use the platforms to the side as a spawning place.

Tiny World by Clarianaju 2017-05-12T09:38:27Z ♥ 0

Not bad for a first entry 😄

Dodging attacks was pretty hard specially since I couldn't always seem them coming. It would have been nice to have some sort of effect on capturing instead of them just disappearing.

A Hard to Control Fox by JLowry 2017-05-12T09:33:27Z ♥ 0

There isn't much to say about this. Title (as others have said) explains pretty well.

Communitas by hbocao 2017-05-12T09:27:31Z ♥ 1

Really nice idea. I think this could have been improved if we could colour the buildings, it would have allowed for people to be more creative.

Submerged by walnoot 2017-05-11T14:10:15Z ♥ 1

I like the idea of this game and the graphics are nice.

I never felt like I was progressing at all which caused me to get bored pretty quickly. The limited building area also limited the way I could actually build things

Globe Guzzler by Eli Delventhal 2017-05-11T13:32:36Z ♥ 0

Controls felt a bit weird when using a mouse but I managed to get used to it. Loved the audio 😄.

Nice game

A lone colony on a small planet by makiki99 2017-05-11T13:22:15Z ♥ 0

Love the graphics style. Gameplay started off interesting but I felt like I had no end goal after a while. Kept playing for a while though 😄

Hi Pluto! by nekoballs 2017-05-11T13:01:47Z ♥ 1

I ended up getting to impossible situations often making it impossible to continue.

Graphics are great though. I feel like there should be more feedback when jumping off the rocks instead of them just disappearing, it would improve the feel of the game a bit.

The Core by ectucker1 2017-05-11T11:17:08Z ♥ 3

This was actually pretty fun to play. Some of the later levels seemed easier then they should have been but otherwise the puzzles were pretty good.

The menu graphics are awesome which made it a bit jarring when it went to the graphics used in the puzzles.

The music/audio for this game is some of the best i've seen so far in the games i've played.

The game crashed after (what I assume was) the last level with an `Index out of range: no indices are valid: 0` error.

Overall I really enjoyed playing this, keep it up!

Pity About Earth... by mwcz 2017-05-11T10:50:39Z ♥ 2

The game looks great and the audio is good as well.

Sometimes the spawning of the rocks made it (seem) impossible to block everything which was frustrating. The size of the game window also made it really hard to see the rocks in time when they came from the sides.

Overall I love the game though.

Turtle Hero by KillToLive 2017-05-11T10:42:18Z ♥ 3

The idea seemed nice but the execution seemed a bit off.

For starters nothing was explained to me when playing. I had no idea what the different icons meant, what my goals where or how to build things (I didn't even realise that was a thing at first). Something on this page or the game page explaining this would go a long way.

The graphics look nice (the turtle looks great!) although the resource icons need some work.

Overall its not a bad start 😄

It's a Small World by NedMakesGames 2017-05-11T10:32:00Z ♥ 3

Neat little game, would have been nice to see things change up a bit more the further you got into the game.

Gaia by PowerSpark 2017-05-02T11:33:52Z ♥ 2

Really pretty looking game, the graphics are great.

Physics seemed a bit weird sometimes (one level I got stuck in a wall and was pushed into the ending) but it was still playable.

I enjoyed the puzzles, they were really well designed.

Drifting away by Nimbus 2017-05-02T11:26:17Z ♥ 2

Fighting the pull of gravity on some of the planets ended up be pretty hard, took me a while to figure some of the parts out 😄.

Sound (even simple generated sound) would have been a nice improvement to make. I liked the game though

Super Small-io World! by micahcowan 2017-05-02T11:17:08Z ♥ 2

The physics in this game worked really well, graphics could be improved though.

There wasn't a reaction when I died which ended up being really jarring when it happened the first time. Enemies ended up being hard to dodge (one of the early bounce pads could sometimes send you straight into one?).

Overall I liked the idea.

Global Disaster by Jamesy012 2017-05-02T11:10:16Z ♥ 2

Nice game. Sometimes it didn't feel like I had enough time to react to things before they started killing my people, maybe a small delay before dealing damage would work. Graphics were good (I like the meteors).

CHEM TRIALS by Hegemege 2017-05-01T20:35:51Z ♥ 1

Interesting game, it controlled really well and looks really nice. Did have an issue where one of the farms spawned inside a rock making it an unwinnable level

It's square to be a cube by Khorm 2017-05-01T20:27:58Z ♥ 1

I love the use of the wrapping world in puzzles. Shame the collision made some of them nearly impossible, fun game though

Defend the Earth by Scrumplesplunge 2017-05-01T20:19:53Z ♥ 0

Bullets bouncing off bullets was pretty funny. I'm pretty sure most of the damage done to earth when I played was caused by friendly fire 😄. Overall pretty fun

Mind The Gap (First Ludum Dare) by Izunah 2017-05-01T20:12:08Z ♥ 1

The aiming was pretty weird and it took a while to understand how to kill enemies (although my first attempt that involved dropping them off the edge kinda worked 😄 ). Overall I liked the entry.

eiland by rubna 2017-05-01T20:02:04Z ♥ 0

Love the art style and the game is really creative too
