If someone can teach me how to get image embeds to actually work (usual markdown is failing), I'll pop some images in there. I'll also add an Android build soon.

Hey man, great game! Love the physics, how everything drifts away when a planet is destroyed. The particles are dope too, and the trail behind the monster looks cool as. One thing that was a little annoying was be the curve of planets, like if you were going too fast you would just speed past the planet and it's gravity would hardly curve you into it. Nothing major, just a small thing I found weird. Overall, top game.
Thanks @lozzadawg! I agree, that is definitely an issue for me too. When you're going for a new high score and the planets whiz by, it can get annoying. I'll fix it in a post-compo! Trouble is you don't get enough playtests in until after the contest is over. :-)
This is a great concept man! I love that you can destroy the little villages and everything. It's a ton of content for just two days. I think I'd like to feel a little more challenged. A little more nuance to the game. As is it's super satisfying to blow up the planets, but I also get bored of this mechanic quickly without some sort of additional challenge.
When I leapt and smashed the planet's mantle, I felt excited. When I smashed the core and exploded the planet, I felt delighted. When I saw my health bar going down, I felt hungry to smash another planet's syrupy core.
@eli-delventhal, good game mate. Ran quite smooth, very fun mechanics. The impacts felt satisfying and good sound design. You did well to have quite a decent amount of content at a well polished level. *tips hat
A Great little game, always nice with hungry planet monsters, kept good with the theme! And always nice to hear the anguished screams of planeteers getting whacked into smithereens! Cheerz!
Nice game! Didn't used the android version but i can imagine that it must be an even better experience to use the touch controls.
Great destruction FX, fun little game, good work! I found it was possible to play with the mouse button permanently held down- as the monster's bounce sometimes has enough height for him to immediately crash into a planet again and basically drill into it; also some times the monster would spin in a tight aimless circle in space while holding down the button.
Thanks for the feedback, everyone!
Love games with destruction! :innocent: I don't really know why I died, but it was fun :smile:
This is a great compo entry! I'm very impressed that you got the full package done in 48 hours amazing! The game was fun and funny and had great SFX.
Destroying the planets was really satisfying! Took me a few to get the hang of the mechanics, but when I did, it was fun!
Coool gaame!! Love the FX, and the music and sound fx are quite well done!!!
Maybe some more control over the character direction when flying between planets would make you feel more in control! But still, it's an awesome concept! I believe that with some polish it could even go into an appstore!
Keep up the good work! :D
I love the concept, artwork, SFX and music! This game makes me feel fluffy and badass at the same time!
Keep up your awesomeness, man!
Cheers!
Good job on this game! I had fun crushing worlds around space. The controls are quite finicky, I had trouble falling back down on a planet without getting out of the gravity circle. It would be nice to get a bit more time or to have a winning condition, but maybe I'm just not good enough to sustain myself indefinitely. The sound/music was nice but I felt like the monster's voice could use a bit of work. But overall very well done!
PRE-GAME =====================================
Just judging by the screenshots and reviews, this one looks to be fun!
POST-GAME =====================================
So I just finished playing it and here is my review:
-Gameplay The gameplay was nicely done, solid, and well polished. It was fun to jump around, flying between all the planets and destroying them. It had a lot more content gameplay-wise than most I've seen, and this is a true marvel for 48 hours!
-Graphics Of course, the graphics were great! Using particles, and having the planets break up, as well as all the sprites, the great graphics fit really well into the overall aesthetic of the game, creating a complete experience. If I had to pick on problem, I would just say that you could have detailed the particles of the planets more, so that a wider variety of colored planets appeared and also so that each "tile" or particle wasn't just one color.
-Innovation The idea for gameplay was a unique one, and while it still was just a 2d space game, it still was pretty innovative.
-Theme It fit ok, and I had fun walking around destroying all those planets :)
OVERALL =====================================
It was a really fun arcade style kind of game. Just try to get a high score. . . Then beat that. . . Then beat it again. . . and so on :) If you added some more content and polish, I'm sure you could go places with this!
Good feel, good graphics!
Great concept, audio, graphics. The monster grumbling as he woke up made me laugh. Could use some balancing on the amount of health you lose over time, never feels like you have enough time to build up points.
Good job on the game, the graphics are nice and I like the way you generate the planets, the sound fx when the monster hits the ground is great. I couldn't destroy the world's fast enough to play for a long time but it was fun.
Amazing entry. Very fun and simple gameplay, and put together perfectly. For a compo entry I'm impressed and this was great.
That was a lot of fun and a great compo entry ! Gameplay was really good (except for the travelling between planets, I didn't understand how it was exactly working). Sounds were really funny and it was so satisfying to destroy all those planets ! :smiling_imp: Here is my best score (1180), don't know if it's a good one :

Great job !!! :thumbsup:
Controls felt a bit weird when using a mouse but I managed to get used to it. Loved the audio :smile:.
Nice game
Had a lot of fun with that! You've got to love those soldiers and constructions on the planets and all the funny sounds they make. Very well done! On a phone this makes quite a good coffee break game!
Pretty awesome and so well polished. Just so fun and destruction. Really well done!
Great game! I wished that one could have wrecked more destruction before dying to starvation. Otherwise very nice execution!
*I am become Globe Guzzler, the devourer of worlds.*
It played well, looked good, had good sound effects and music, and was pretty fun. I had a little bit of trouble seeing when I was being shot at, but that's not that big a deal.
Nice game, really liked the sound and graphics and overall concept. well done. scored: 630.
Great game! I enjoyed playing it and I liked the audio and the graphics. The animations/explosions when you crush a planet are very satisfying. I was a bit confused how it works when I wanted to go to a new planet, I wasn't sure if had influence on the direction that I was flying.
Well done! :)
Very fun game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1o2f-9mGRU
