Interesting concept and nice graphics, but I didn't really understand the coins calculation, it was not clear enough for me when I was winning money by constructing roads and when I was losing some... I got until 8 levels completed and with this misunderstanding of rules, sometimes even the first level seemed impossible to solve. :open_mouth:

I loved the mood of this game, graphics are really neat and the sounds/music are great, good job ! Puzzles were maybe a bit too simple but the usage of the mouse was smartly thought ! Pretty relaxing ! :relaxed:

Great concept idea ! Good realization, but sometimes the physics were toying with me, getting stuck in the clouds, or clouds getting strange behaviours. But it was nice to play and get to the end of the game, the mechanics were smart and easy to understand ! Good job ! :smiley:
Really nice Super Meat Boy like game, maybe a bit less responsive in terms of controls but with some nice ideas of gameplay (turning the ennemies into a bouncing platform...). Really enjoyed going through the 15 levels. Would have like a bit more difficulties and challenge on the last ones.

I spend a little time on this game and I am really impressed of its quality. The usage of 2D elements to simulate a 3D world was really smart, reminding me a bit of Okami. The gameplay was responsive as well and the puzzles were well thought ! I just didn't understand the timetable thing and got it solved randomly :sweat_smile:

Nice and really satisfying game when you have dozens of Pixlets giving you a lot of coins. I just didn't understand first that I had to click on an object to unlock it by paying the written amount.

Really nice game and smart idea of gameplay ! I first wondered why there wasn't any HUD for our Earth life before understanding that her face was actually an indication of her health state, really good idea there too ! Great concept ! Tried the bug fixed version on PC and went until the key breaker window, but I had another blocking bug : When I put the windows on the top left hand corner, I can't move them anymore, nor close them. :( But the realization is really impressive and I will try again later when votes will be available !

Hey, this is a really funny game ! Had good time on it, it reminds me of Crash Bash, where you must eject your opponents from the ice floe, getting some bonus or penalties. I agree on the comment above regarding some strange collisions or getting blocked in the ennemy. I also love the references you put in the game (One Punch Man, Shovel Knight...), really smart ideas, adding even more fun to the game ! Here is my best score, can somebody beat it ? :grin:

Nice entry, easy to play. Adding power ups was a good idea ! Maybe the normal mode was too easy and the frenzy mode too hard (even sometimes starting directly on infected cells and losing in less than 1 second :sweat_smile: I would have enjoy an hard mode in between. Sounds were really funny !
Excellent idea of gameplay and nice realization with a smart level design ! The graphics are really cute and the audio is also good ! I did enjoy this game a lot. The only frustrating thing for me was the bee acceleration that sent me a lot of times in the red flashy things when I had to do really precise moves. But I managed to get to the end of the game ! Really nice graphics and atmosphere on in this game ! Really good idea. A bit hard to play though, with a lot of characters talking at the same time, you don't always know with which one you will interact when you perform some actions (like calling the cops or serving a beer), so it becomes a bit confusing. With a bit more polishing (for example adding a cursor on the current customer we are dealing with, or making him appear in a different color), this game can become really funny to play ! :thumbsup:
But definitely great arts in your entry !

Original concept, goes along well with the title "World en Abyme" ! Controls were really responsive, the gameplay works very well ! As said above, I also had a few collision imprecisions with the lava, espescially in the level with a "S" shape. And the "ball" going up while turning the world was a bit unnatural for me. But it was really nice to play this game, you even had enough time to create 2 different ambiances, good job ! Good entry ! :thumbsup:

I also didn't understand that I had to shoot those grey statues at first, making them turning red when hit should be a way to indicate that the player's shot is actually dealing some damages to them.

Really impressive compo entry ! Gameplay is really easy to get used to, graphics and animations are really nice and the Minecraft like idea is pretty smart ! The only thing is I get blocked at this state of the game, not knowing what I can craft together (I have the impression I tried everything I could... :cry:) :

Just found a small bug, when you place a block while falling down, there is a chance to place it on an already occupied place, having then several blocks on the same place. And you can also have the fruits floating in the air !
But once again, really solid entry, I liked playing it, and having a bit more hints on what we can craft from what would make it perfect ! :thumbsup:

As said just above, the game lack a bit of pace, but the concept is good and the graphics are really nice, especially the gangster moon and the Earth face expressions ! :new_moon_with_face::head_bandage: The upgrades should have also been a bit faster to get in my opinion. I commit suicide when I reached this score (which is my best score then) :

Really nice and funny game ! I didn't understand immediately what I was suppose to do (especially with the green gaz thing) but after trying twice it was easy to get the objective of the game ! Really good entry, easy to play, graphics are nice, love the music (changing when picking up the carrot). :thumbsup:

I like the game concept, there are a few things to learn to understand it well (reminded me of the Smallworld board game). But the rushing strategy seems to be the best way of winning, with the Archer and the Knight I sent the Archer pick up the king and the Knight go on the tower and I won without fighting the ennemy even once. With a bit more balancing, I think this game can become something really nice to play with. :relaxed:

Great idea and nice realization, the battle grid animation was really cool, just like setting a Yu-Gi-Oh battlefield ! But I found it a bit too easy, the only tricky battle was the one with 2 fighting objects. But it is a really smart concept, easy to understand, with funny weapons ! Good job on it ! :thumbsup:
It was a pretty nice game. I managed to get to the end ! In my opinion, a few things could be improved : - The inertia while moving feels a bit awkward, when I stop pressing a direction, the character is still moving too much before stopping. - It was sometimes hard to see which plateforms were true plateforms and which one are in the background (it has already been said above, I agree with @anarbitrarymustache) - Not totally sure about the music :sweat_smile:
Other than that, the result is pretty impressive for a Compo entry, you made different nice looking environments, I liked it. Good job ! :thumbsup:
That was a lot of fun and a great compo entry ! Gameplay was really good (except for the travelling between planets, I didn't understand how it was exactly working). Sure, with the RNG it will be impossible to keep all the tribes alive in some specific configurations... But when you understand the logic under each tribe it will get easier to find the optimized way to place them. :wink:

Really nice game, I had fun playing it. A bit frustrating sometimes when the jump is not working and you don't know why, or when you get stuck in the middle of a block after a jump. Otherwise, solid gameplay and entry ! Good job :thumbsup:

Funny game, the idea of constructing something for having it broken after is comical, reminds me playing the Lego ! The soundtrack is really good and the effects are well rendered, along with an interesting visual design. Would have been great to have kind of objectives to prevent the game from being repetitive. :wink:
Hey, thank you again for the streaming of my game ! I played yours ! It was a lot of fun, I really appreciated it ! Graphics are well polished, the menu with option is also a nice to have !
Regarding the gameplay, the cooldown between 2 hits is first a bit frustrating but we get used to it pretty fast ! Sometimes, trajectories were really hard to anticipate though. The music matches the game very well ! And there is a lot of challenge, I first managed to beat the CPU 10 with a 3 balls match with only one try (and a lot of luck I imagine).
Then I went on the 1 ball match and it was a tough battle, and after several lost matches, I managed to win in the end, and I was so proud of me that I took a screenshot ! :grin:

The game was a bit laggy on my side and started before the tutorial's end like said by others.

I really like the idea, the gameplay is pretty easy to learn (I would just have add the possibility to jump with W, jumping with Space felt a bit uncomfortable for me), the atmosphere is good and I enjoy this Wild West style song ! :cowboy:
I went until the 10th night to see if the difficulty was growing up, but it doesn't seem so. If more ennemies were to appear every night, it can easily add some challenge to the game. Maybe limiting the weapon's range could also add some difficulty ? Because if you just stand in the middle of the map in front of the fire during the ennemies attack, the game becomes really easy. Or maybe just adding some kind of rocks on the left end and right end of the middle platform, so that you can't shoot the ennemies from there ?
The pixel art is really nice and the animations were good as well ! Great work done on it ! :thumbsup:

Great game, really challenging, I truely enjoyed it !!! It was first a bit hard to get used to the controls and inertia, but once you understand how it works it becomes really amusing.
The only frustrating thing is that sometimes, when ou change level, you appear close to a "planet" and get instantly crushed.

It's a bit frustrating that we can't destroy the wood cutters because we know that when we take care of some of them, the others will start running gain, so we just feel absolutely powerless (well I guess that's what squirrels feel when we are destroying there forest).

@mza Yes, we first wanted to implement vertical attack as well but you know, lack of time... You don't get more coins by damaging ennemies but the number of killed ennemies is part of the final score. Also if you don't attack at all, bonus and coins will stop appearing. Yes, you can go over one hole by using dash, you can also send away ennemies when they turned red after you attacked them (except the turret).
Congratulations for this compo entry ! Love the 8 bit arcade feel of the game. This is a really funny game to play with. I really like the music, especially the one during the intro ! And the humor is priceless !
However I have a few remarks.
The first one is the jump feeling, once you are in the air, it's pretty hard to control. It would have been great that pressing the down button while in air we would be able to go down quickly, in order to make smaller or faster jumps.
The second one is that those green columns are really annoying, once you are too late for your jump, there is nothing you can do except suffer :confounded:
The last one and I agree with @terracottafrog, the smoke feels like it has been added just to feet the theme and give a strange feeling to it, plus it makes things really hard to read once you get to the point where all the obstacles will come at once.
But you did a great job in two days, once again congratulations ! :smiley:

I just tried your game as well, it's really impressive for a Compo Game ! The sound effect of walking made me smile and the mood is really cool ! The characters faces are also priceless ! The only difficult thing for me was that you must read quite fast in some situations, and it's not my strong point, ahah ! But I made it to the exit though !!!
And it would have been great that we feel the anxiety from the beginning because I was kind of surprised the first time the screen got darker and I wasn't really sure of what was happening.

This game was so addictive ! It reminds me a game where you should expand your territory drawing lines and some birds were bouncing on the field and if they touched the line your were drawing before you being able to get back to the border, you would loose.

I would have prefer a full mouse gameplay though, maybe using drag and drop and the wheel or right click to rotate the objects, because when you have to be fast, moving with WASD and rotating with a different key is a bit complex.

I like the concept, great idea ! But I think the game is way too zoomed in, making things in the background a bit hard to understand. But filling the HP when being over the baby and losing some when in the radius of the repellent is really natural and works well. I didn't manage to find the exit :cry:

So here is my feedback on your game.
First, I like the idea, of organizing home and cleaning (even if I'm terrible at it, even in real life), and the interface is pretty clear ! Music was super nice and fit the game very well !
However, controls are really difficult, I think there are way too many buttons (Shift / E / Spacebar / Mouse click), it's hard to hold shift while moving with WASD when you grab an object, having to switch between keyboard and mouse is also a bit annoying. The entry door is too small for me, it gets hard to pull or push things in/out. :sweat_smile:
Also I needed to play the game 3 times to get what I was asked for, because darling was coming back home way too early the first times since I had to discover the game, the house set up and so on, so it would be great to have a bit more timeslot for the first days in order to understand all of this.
And in its current state, the game becomes repetitive quite fast, let's see the post jam version, it should bring I guess more diversity :smiley:
I love the idea and concept ! It totally matches the theme ! The camera control is a bit hard to handle.
What would be really helpful is knowing how big will be the next level and eventually what will be the shape of the next building. :smiley:

The jumps are a bit odd though and the snail is too slow for me (well it's a snail after all, I know...). Since you sometimes have to restart the level because you get stuck, having a slow character is a bit annoying :sweat_smile:

At high speed, the game becomes a bit painful for the eyes and it's not like you can really control anything :sweat_smile:
Also I have the feeling that half of the screen is not used at all. Would be great to have some flying obstacles and even a lifebar or something to set a Game Over condition, because here you can't really lose, right ? :slight_smile:

I find it a bit frustrating though that you have to get back to the previous "level" when you failed one. Of course for some of them it's necessary but for the others it's a bit annoying. Since this game is mostly base on luck (sonce you don't know in advance what will be the spacebar effect), I would have prefered to start over only the current level (when the level is possible of course).

The idea is good, but controls are a bit odd, the momentum and jumping high are making it really hard to go through the levels. :cry:

The way the "walls" are turning (hard to be really precise) and the speed of items arriving make the game really difficult from Level 3, would have maybe preferred a kind of sphere instead of a box so that when turning it it would be the same size everywhere.
And I didn't wanted it but I ate a cat :cry:

Seems that your game is suffering the same issues than ours, when ennemies spawn directly under you, you will take some damages (and die since there is no HP), also I would have liked to have an indication/signal before the eyes shoot the beams so that I can dodge before being killed :sweat_smile:
The hitbox of the attack would diserve to be a bit bigger on the character side because sometimes you attack the monster really close to you and it doesn't work.

Really good idea, I love it even if I'm terrible at it, only killed 6 monsters... Drag and Drop is sometimes tricky and if you miss it a bit then instead of healing your character you will just throw the object away, making a bit of frustration :sweat_smile:
Except from that I really enjoyed this entry, good job !
We got a really similar idea to your so it was nice to play your game ! Graphics are great, a 1vs1 mode would also be really funny to play I think.
Sometimes it's hard to understand what is happening, ennemies seem being flying around or teleporting and it's hard to follow both your moves and the attack you must perform to defeat the opponents. But this is a good concept and a good realization overall ! :slight_smile:
Good concept, the controls were also great. I was missing the information on screen that I possessed a bomb or not, and a kind of highscore mechanic would have been great :slight_smile:
Whaoooo ! That's a great entry ! The art is amazing, the mood and music so good ! It was really enjoyable !
If I must complain about a few things it would be : - The controls are a bit complicated, it would be easier if the jump was made with W and going down with S, so that you don't have ton deal with the mouse + the directions + the space bar to jump (and pressing S + space to go down). - I don't feel that there is a difficulty increase during the game, and when there is only one chicken remaining it's nearly impossible to loose. I went until 100 as a score and then tried to see if your chicken can die from illness, apparently not :grin: (anyway, don't let your chicken die from illness at home !)
But there are so many good ideas in this game, the ill chicken giving rotten eggs that would decrease your score, the way of dealing with fox, food... Brilliant ! Congratulations !

I spent waaay too much time on your game ! How addictive ! Just love the mood, the music, the level of polish ! A lot of fun trying again and again to beat my score. The leaderboard wasn't working well, I submited my score but I don't know if it worked or not...
And this purple section is definitely to hard for me to handle :grimacing:
My only remark would be that it doesn't really stick to the theme in my opinion, but it's just a detail. Great job ! :thumbsup:

Sorry I can't try your game, I only have a PS4 controller :cry: I don't know unity but our entry used it and it seems that there are options to map the controls to any type of controller ;)
Nice idea and concept, a bit hard to play simultaneously though. It would have been great if holding one direction allowed to move the items faster so that we can organize the inventory in an easier way.
But I think you can dig in this concept, maybe the inventory could be handled as a tetris like, this way you would move the goblin up and down and the inventory only left and right, the items would fall down on its own. And when you pick up a new item, the previous one quickly goes down. :slight_smile:
I did it ! Really well thought puzzle game, wasn't easy at all and it was really nice trying to solve it ! Good job on this game that fit the theme 100% ! :smiley:
