Nice game! Is there a successful end condition?
I love it. The game looks and feels awesome. This would make a really good mobile game.
@gord10ahmet Thanks! Yes there is a successful end condition => You need to reach the 4th cycle with your crowdies. :)
This is an amazing game. Realy fun to play. Great visuals, sounds and amazing concept. Wanted to reach skies with my crowdies really hard. Controlling evolutions is really hard but still manageable. Illness spread too quickly and it gets really hard to detect weird ones with a big population. Since that can destroy whole game it should be adjusted carefuly. Cloning can be also very hard when there is too much crowdies, clicking one by one gets annoying. Other than that really enjoyed that game and glad to play it. Thank you for your effords. Great job!
Very innovative gameplay ! I managed to reform a planet with my crowdies while managing to 'handle' (And by handle I mean deliberately killing off half my population) a few couple of plagues.
I love the art and the gameplay idea. Great game !
Really enjoyed this game. I especially loved the mechanics different diseases. Great Idea
Really good game that apply perfectly the evolution theory, keep up the good work
Really lovely game! The graphics and sfx are cute and the music fits perfectly. I found it difficult to see which crowdys were sick once you zoom out to the second stage, so they kept dying off in planetwide plagues :( which is a great challenge! I kept accidentally killing crowdys i wanted to clone and vice versa - but I'm playing on a macbook with a trackpad with no right-mouse-button, which isn't really the right tool for the job - maybe keyboard + mouse controls? Great work!
Beautiful music and graphics! Very smooth movement when the planet shrunk and grew as I had more or less crowdies. I wanted to keep playing this game! It was jarring that the camera moved every time I cloned. I could not keep the illness away fast enough. What was the difference in colors for the illness, was it severity, or different strains? Red ones looked very sick :( Thanks for posting this game!
Thanks everyone for feedback. Glad you like our little crowdies! o_O
If you have difficulties with diseases. Check the eyes/mouth positions/sizes of your crowdies. Maybe some of them are not very healthy! :D
@andy-d Oh! It would be difficult to play with a trackpad. We will try to find a way to add alternative controls.
@mgoadric Each color represents different diseases. Some of them are very dangerous, others are virulent. Perhaps we can reduce screenshakes intensity to avoid miss clicks.
Half of my crowdies died due to disease. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the sounddesign on this one. The background music is relaxing and the little sounds the Crowdies make are fun and meaningful, they give away the situation. When I heard the cough I felt a bit of a panick-sensation: 'WHERE HE AT?' Visually very nice game too, good job on that.
The game did get a bit laggy when a lot of crowdies were on the world.
I enjoyed playing your game, thanks for making/sharing it :D
Goodness they are adorable! This was very creative and a lot of fun! Great game.
Fun game, I really love the mechanic! I probably killed a few thousands crowdies while trying to contain the blue plague :D. Great graphics, fitting sounds. It got too repetitive for me at the 4th cycle, there is no difference between each cycle right? With some more variety, this could become pretty addictive. It's more about filling space than running out of it, though. Great game.
Wow this is a home run! Beautiful game with great atmosphere. Unique concept and stellar execution. I had a blast playing! Great job all!
I really enjoyed your little game! Very interesting take on the theme.
I enjoyed the look and sound of the game and the *moon* pushing the crowdies around was also a nice touch!
Very Nice!! My only suggestion would be to implement some kind of visual indicator when a crowdy is fully grown (since it's not just a binary state and hard to tell sometimes when it's ~90% grown)
Wow! lot of suggestions here! Try to answer to everyone:
@reuh Blue and Green plague are pretty virulent. Initially we have planned some specials events for each cycles (alien invasions, natural disasters) but I think you know the answer :p (time, priorities, etc...).
@red-pill Ha ha! Glad you react to the cought sound, means it works as expected! Yeah, I've noticed the webgl is a bit laggy at the end of the game. We looking for some optimization to avoid that. The native builds did not have theses laggy issues though.
@uncannyvalley As you said, it's not entirely a binary state. If you click at 90% grown you will have a 10% little malus and it's insignificant according to new crowdy characteristics. So don't be afraid. But you're right, a little indicator could be cool. :)
Thanks everybody once again! :D
Excellent idea and really well polished realization ! Congratulations !!! The zoom out system works really well.
Indeed there is a bit of lag when the planet is really crowded and when the contamination start to spread there is nothing you can do to stop it (I'm a terrible health minister XD).
But I really liked it, good job
I can't believe how well done and polished this is. I loved all of the states of the crowdies, the animations, the story and design. All very good. The level of detail is excellent and for that I say well done!
This was so relaxing! I really love evolution games and i think you have a good system here. Maybe i should have concentrated more on raising an elite crowdie class, but splitting very many of them worked also well. I got to around 300 and then i decided to let them be wiped out by illness. I'm not sure if this actually happened since there was some earth animation. The graphics are great and sound+music make it very pleasant and moody. Beautiful game, i like it!
I think this is my favorite game so far
The pretty colors and soothing audio design sucked me in. Then I realized I was enforcing some kind of eugenics master plan and got creeped out. I was a little confused that my progress toward the goal of having a large population was subject to natural setbacks, but I guess game play doesn't have to be linear. It certainly was frustrating to have a chunk of my colony die off from natural causes. Sometimes I wasn't sure if a crowdie had a defective smile or was just low-res zoomed out. I didn't take chances; I culled ruthlessly.
So polished and fascinating entry! At times It was fun interacting and creating more creatures until I had completely forgotten about the issues with diseases and a huge epidemic broke loose sickening half of my entire population hahah. There's definitely potential here here for further development if the performance matter can be tackled either from design approach or technical. Introduction of elements on the planets to have solid objects or environmental catastrophes like meteorites could add additional spins to the game when you get further. Nice entry well done!
Very fun game! I always loved the concept of evolution in games in which the traits pass on to the next generation. I toyed with it until I finished it twice, that is if the planet reappears in its big form a few times is considered the end goal.
Great game! It's pretty easy once you figure out to not clone the uneven looking ones. Maybe make it more challenging by making evolution go faster?
This was a really neat game! I liked all the variations as the clones pile up. The audio is very well done too! I think someone in my chat shared this with my stream awhile back. Your game was played around 5:05 into this vod: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/299925225
