LD38 — A Small World

Three of you. by BitOfGold 2017-05-01T14:39:20Z

I tried to play but it crashed my browser in Firefox :( Tried again in Chrome, it worked!

The look is excellent! I really like the bouncy movement of the characters, such wiggle, and the follow mechanics for the fox and rabbit. It felt like I was moving slower than I wanted to, I was almost pushing the keys harder to make them run instead of lollygag.

I wasn't sure why I needed all three characters. Did the different types of food help the hunger of each? I could only see one hunger score on the screen.

I walked on the water for a while, because it looked so cool with the reflections.

Microms' World by TomBuston 2017-04-30T20:13:03Z

Your graphics are excellent! I got up to 2325 points, lasted 10 years. Very hard to balance sending them off as weapons, vs needing them around to survive. I could drop multiple into the catapult at once, but only one would launch, the rest dropped back to the ground. The dropping plants collided with each other, where one moved another growing plant out of the way, felt odd to have a plant already in the ground shift position. I got to a point in one game where I didn't have any Microms left on the ground, but my food kept going down. Do the plants eat food too? The aiming of the catapult was very well done, simple and effective. Good game!

Enceladus by mgoadric 2017-04-30T20:21:06Z

Thanks for the comments and for playing, @elzach and @huvaakoodia ! I'll definitely change the move counter to count down, this is great. I was hoping to have more time to make a better chain of levels so you can see how each color reacts differently to collisions, but ran out of time. I only threw in enough levels to test out the core mechanics. I think I need to have the initial moves of other astronauts be preprogrammed to fail instead of selected randomly, I have heard from others that some of the levels solved themselves.

Enceladus by mgoadric 2017-05-01T07:53:19Z

This is great feedback, @cmlsc and @alex-lutay, thanks! I wanted to know how much of the mechanics I could leave up to discovery by the players, and probably erred on the side of being too opaque in the instructions. The traces for where the other astronauts plan to go is an excellent idea.

Enceladus by mgoadric 2017-05-01T07:55:14Z

Thanks for playing, @kodiqi! I definitely need more levels and an easier ramp-up for the difficulty. I did not mean to make a level where you could solve it faster than the time allotted, yes, this is frustrating, I will fix this for future builds.

Enceladus by mgoadric 2017-05-01T15:27:26Z

@oxrock and @jorbits, you were always controlling the encircled astronaut. Based on your feedback, I'm trying out making the camera follow the currently selected astronaut, it feels a little nauseating, but I understand the need for more player feedback for how your actions are affecting the astronauts.

@zarkonnen, sorry about that! I didn't see that early possibility when I was making the levels, error on my part.

Thanks for playing!

Statera by Kristian David 2017-05-01T04:29:27Z

I really like the idea of this game, with the rock/paper/scissors predator/prey model going on, with the player as the smiter to keep control. I made it 161 seconds once I figured out what to do, I forgot about the Meteor option, that would have really helped once the exponential explosions started. Nice look and scrolling around the world, I always knew how many of each animal there were, even if I couldn't see them. Great concept!

Also, I played it on my mac, and I had to go into the app folder and reset the permissions of the executable in order to run it. Not sure if that was just me or if others had that problem.

In Good Hands by simple-blue 2017-05-01T07:44:11Z

Excellent graphics, the game looks wonderful! I wasn't sure why I was gaining on losing points. I eventually tried to get my people hit with lightening or meteors to see if I would lose points, and I did! I never saw the bears other people talked about. I only found out about the moving of the viewpoint with right click through experimentation, I missed it in the intro portion; I saw the left click icon, clicked, and by then the right one was gone too, saw it the second time through. Was delighted to see the people fall off the world when struck. Also, I wasn't sure why the game ended, I still had a population on the planet. Was it because of time? Very fun game, thanks for making this!

The Small World Finally Finished by Laptor 2017-04-30T06:52:34Z

I got up to a 64 score once I figured out what I was doing and that the spaceship could deflect. I wanted to be able to shoot the bombs, but deflection was more interesting after I got it working. I'm not sure what the blue orbs were for, I could tell they didn't damage the planet, but were they beneficial somehow? The left/right movement of the ship was rather severe and quick, this made the game somewhat harder than I expected. Good work!

LD-38 SUPER SMALL WORLDS by elZach 2017-04-28T19:23:52Z

I like the background music. Your levels feel well-thought out. The collider seems very large for the top of surfaces, I could walk off the edge of most things without falling down, which saved me in a number of places :) I felt odd without arms on the character, and the large pink humanoids in the background were somewhat creepy to me. On level 2, there were some stairs that looked reachable at first, but were too far back to ever walk up; I wanted to get to them but I didn't see any way to get there. I really like the art and font for your loading menu, good work overall!

Booster's Day Out by paulstraw 2017-05-01T04:07:45Z

Nice graphics and physics! I wasn't sure what the goal was until I saw the second video in your post, I just putted around crashing into things. I like the idea of the tutorial as you go, but I could go anywhere with the A/D controls, making it very easy to miss what you were trying to lead me to do. I liked the pause before starting the next level, but wasn't sure why the trail continued after a crash. Crashes looked really cool. I want to keep playing.

Room Number by Ayush Singla 2017-05-01T04:52:07Z

Nice idea, I like puzzle games :) I made it through all the puzzles and enjoyed them :)

Excellent graphics, I really liked how the portals worked. The music became very repetitious by level 2. In level 3, I figured out how to solve it, but then I couldn't get the block to move when I thought I should. On level 1, I was led to believe that I needed to be next to the block, but then I could move it when I was heading away from it? I couldn't move it when I was adjacent after exiting the portal. Then on level 4, I could only move it a bit, depending on how far away I was? It was confusing. And the portals only activated if you stopped on then, I was expecting them to work if I just passed over them.

I would love to seem more puzzles not based on the numbers concept, the basic mechanic was simple and lent itself to nice solutions. Thanks for the fun game!

RC kitchen Throwdown by oxrock 2017-04-30T07:03:18Z

I made it to 1:55 until I ran out of battery. It took me a few times to notice that the grey cylinders were improving my batter life. Cool sound effects for the dog! I felt a little queasy with the shaky camera movement. Wasn't able to make it to the food bowl you depicted above, but I did get the barbell rolling :) Great idea for a small world :)

3 Brothers by sdonai 2017-04-30T20:29:40Z

I was able to kill the brothers without swinging the sword, just running into them at the right angle. Interesting perspective shift, looks like a 2D game at first, but once you get movement it feels otherwise. Looks like a good start to a combat mechanism, if the red characters moved autonomously it would help.

LD42 — Running out of space

Snakescape by krasse 2018-08-14T20:06:51Z

Got stuck on level 3. Nice twist on the snake mechanic. I once lost all my body pieces, but couldn't eat any eggs even through I still had a head. It was frustrating to get stuck and have to hit R to reset and lose all of my progress just because I went in the wrong way somewhere. I liked how you needed to think about traveling over the holes just right.

The Man of Mail VR by Picking a username is hard 2018-08-16T18:24:20Z

I got your game to run on my Oculus! This was fun! Definitely felt like I was running out of space. The first time I ran it, my touch controllers couldn't be found, so I just watched the boxes pile up around me. Second try they worked ok, most of the boxes and conveyer belt were at the edge of my perimeter and the sensors were lost sometimes. Windows didn't want me to run your game because of the unknown publisher of the .exe. The game never had an ending, so I just threw boxes around for a while enjoying the physics. Thanks for making this game!

Passengers Tetris by Gao Ming 2018-08-15T17:55:34Z

Once I read the rule about matching 3, I was able to play the game well! Since it was a 3D game, I wanted to rotate the pieces in all 3 dimensions, felt very constrained when I couldn't. Nice shiny person model :) Good work!

SPACENGERS by Dev_For_Pizza 2018-08-15T17:22:58Z

Could not get past the intro screen and shooting comets in the web version using Firefox.

Quicksort by Yngvarr 2018-08-15T17:19:07Z

I found myself coming up with new organization schemes, great use of color, number, and letter to let the user design their own way of remembering what boxes they put where. I think if I spent more time playing this game, I could do well like @spacemonkey :) Great work!

Aura by Papaver 2018-08-14T20:17:32Z

Nice clean graphics! It took a while to figure out why I was losing, and the relationship between keeping people away and my meter going down. I found it easiest to make progress if I didn't move all the time but stopped and let other people move away. How did the purple things help me on level 2? I never understood why I needed them. I liked the boost mechanic, very smooth movement.

Baggage Claim by mgoadric 2018-08-15T15:18:02Z

@gamebuilder Thank you very much for the feedback! Sorry the score didn't change for you when you got luggage off the whole carousel, what OS and browser were you using?

Baggage Claim by mgoadric 2018-08-15T15:26:02Z

@ijzm Yes, the carousel background was a last-minute add of Unity 3D capsules, look quite pixelated. Thanks for the feedback!

Baggage Claim by mgoadric 2018-08-15T15:54:52Z

@don-fouts @wasd I agree the 5 second time limit is tough for starting, but I've managed to get up to a score of 10, and have seen even higher, up to 32, when I let the computer make the moves instantaneously for the outer rings. I agree, @sam-estep , it is more about the reflexes right now, but if I made the timer longer, this might make space to add some strategic elements in the outer rings. Thanks for all the feedback!

Baggage Claim by mgoadric 2018-08-15T18:24:37Z

@rob-parker I agree about the sounds, the generated files from bfxr can be very raw, I will look into ways to smooth them out. Thanks for the feedback!

Baggage Claim by mgoadric 2018-08-15T18:25:31Z

@gamebuilder no worries! I was excited when I finally scored above zero when I was testing it!

Baggage Claim by mgoadric 2018-08-16T13:34:37Z

@jack-maxwell Thanks very much for the constructive criticism! I was hoping to do more to make the shape matching meaningful, but it turned into a speed game in development. It is definitely lacking larger strategic decisions right now, I hope to fold them into the next iteration.

Running Out Of Space by CaylebLucas 2018-08-15T16:02:40Z

Nice set of games. I liked the simple graphics and color palette. I found all but the thrust game to be too easy, while thrusting was very hard. It was frustrating to restart with a different game instead of being able to try again at thrust. I never got it right.

THEY CAME FROM OUTER SPACE AND YOU'RE OUT OF SPACE! by DigitalQR 2018-08-16T15:22:16Z

I got it to work on my Oculus Rift with Steam VR running, hooray!! I managed to pick up the hammer and swing it at the flying trees, only made it about 45 seconds each time. Were there other objects? I didn't see a way to "walk" with controls, so I was next to the bench the whole time. The game said jump, but I couldn't find a control that let me do that, or have it react differently if I physically jumped. Was able to somehow put the hammer outside my safe zone and couldn't get it back one time. Great idea for a game, I was twisting and turning to see where the next tree would come from.

Rebound by Greyo 2018-08-16T16:10:02Z

I had a great time playing this game, made it through a couple levels of the spikes. Very nice puzzles, achievable but took thought to see the right way to approach them. Simple and very effective graphics. Excellent entry!

Space Cows by net3ton 2018-08-16T15:47:58Z

Eventually figured out how to keep it going, made it to 178 months. It was very hard to get the initial spice collection started and make a ring of fire around the hut, but once it was there it was sustainable if I paid attention. What was the algorithm behind how the darkness moved? Great connection to the theme, thanks for making this game!

Onion Ring by Don Fouts 2018-08-14T20:38:30Z

This was fun! I landed on the panhandle once. I never won the game, the blue onion always got the rice first, I struggled to move in the direction I wanted. Beautiful scenery and funny movement :)

Drown Drown Revolution by Sibi 2018-08-15T17:38:35Z

I enjoyed playing your game! I found it confusing at first that you used arrow keys, which are stacked on the keyboard, instead of four keys in a row like ASDF, since the teeth are laid out in a row, but my mind slowly mapped and caught on. Were the drops preprogrammed to follow particular beats in the song or randomly generated? Excellent bubbles, the graphics while playing were nice, the menus were a little pixelated. Thanks for making this game!

Pizshariah by zoksxc 2018-08-16T17:50:35Z

Interesting take on the theme. Why is there so much camera shaking? I was required to be in two stations at the same time, and couldn't help but lose. Might work well as a team game.

Cherrytales - Cherryboy and Briar Princess by Beebo Studios 2018-08-14T19:39:04Z

Also crashed on me a few times in the web version. Great groove in the background music, and sweet graphic, very novel theme! I didn't realize there was a pick-up and deliver mechanic with the mushrooms for a while, and it took three times before I saw that I was collecting roses. I wanted to give them to the princess. I liked the briar growing mechanic, slow enough you could make progress.

Mars Defender by Mil 2018-08-15T17:29:37Z

Very fun sound! Great use of free assets to make your game. I played for a while trying to keep things clean, and then just sat back and enjoyed watching the rovers pile up and shake from their RigidBody collisions. The rockets from the sky felt good, but the rovers just popped in, maybe they could move in from the side of the screen, or drive in over the horizon?

At the lab by UselessDinosaur 2018-08-15T16:23:38Z

Managed to get myself stuck pretty easily surrounded by walls. I like the way the walls changed the gravity and twisted the whole room around, not just you. Was there a way to control what way the wall would point when it popped out? This could be the start of a nice system, good luck with future revisions.

Crowdy Planet by arche-san 2018-08-15T16:17:30Z

Beautiful music and graphics! Very smooth movement when the planet shrunk and grew as I had more or less crowdies. I wanted to keep playing this game! It was jarring that the camera moved every time I cloned. I could not keep the illness away fast enough. What was the difference in colors for the illness, was it severity, or different strains? Red ones looked very sick :( Thanks for posting this game!

Herding Humans by MWB 2018-08-15T16:58:44Z

I managed to throw a human on top of two boxes! The graphics looked nice and smooth, cool animations for the humans. I found it very frustrating to move the robot, the back speed was slow and I couldn't turn well either. It was hard to move "forward" since the orientation of the robot did not match my view point.

Plant's Conquest by Sam Estep 2018-08-14T20:28:40Z

Great idea for a game! I was very confused by the second level. I noticed the icons in the corner but had no idea what they meant, I was just clicking for a very long time, it would be helpful to have some intuition that dragging is necessary. Somehow I made it to the end and took over the world!

The Dream of Becoming Too Fat by SkyreX 2018-08-15T18:11:45Z

I also found the strategy of running one direction and rotating the world to earn me the most points. Nice clean graphics. I wanted an indicator of when I was almost too fat, the game felt like it abruptly ended for me. Good innovative way to move, crazy dream!

High Tide [html5] by SuperQGS 2018-08-15T16:37:01Z

For each tide level, I just stood in the upper-right corner of the island and shot my lasers alternately left and down. Was confused by the first crab that took two beams to kill, I thought I missed it or it was a bug since there was no indication it was a bigger crab. I like that the sounds were of crashing waves, nice fit with the theme.

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Antlerman by Jiri_One 2018-12-06T17:12:00Z

Cool idea! I like the animations for your sprites, and the color scheme. Enemies came at a nice regular pace to keep me moving and searching around the game. I never found the altar. It felt like I shouldn't be able to run through the trees, but then I did and there were no collisions on them.

NOPE by icxon 2018-12-05T19:43:17Z

Excellent mood and theme integration! This was very tense once [NOPE] started to happen.

Perilous Passage by Nick Rafalski 2018-12-05T21:15:18Z

Great execution of a simple idea! I liked discovering that I could move a bridge when there were cars already on it. "Officer down!"

A Bird in Paradise by CptFinn 2018-12-05T21:22:29Z

Nice theme, is it correct that you fly faster when the mouse is further away? A little bit repetitious. Wasn't sure how many points I was getting, would be nice to show it at the "R for respawn" screen, when I played I didn't see any feedback on points in the web version.

A Bird in Paradise by CptFinn 2018-12-06T16:22:14Z

@cptfinn fullscreen fixed it! Thanks!

Sacrifices must be made by mobiledev 2018-12-06T19:52:42Z

Good job! I liked how you have to peek inside building to find the NPCs that will help you when you get them to escape. I was overwhelmed by the blobs until I realized I could get them in an alley, because I couldn't shoot up or down.

Don't worry about the ballast by mortus 2018-12-04T18:35:03Z

Great concept! I felt as though I was as the whim of the prevailing winds, didn't get to the end but once, because of a great windy start. Once was stuck at the beginning, couldn't fight the wind. The first time I tried the ballast, I thought there was a bug, because I picked money but the dog went out, then noticed that they kept shifting. Good mechanic, but was unexpected the first time. Nice graphics. I got the cop blimp to spin through the air when I hit them hard. Fun, just wanted more control.

Rampio by R3L0ad1 2018-12-05T19:30:57Z

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the game to open on my Mac, using the Mojave 10.14.

Rampio by R3L0ad1 2018-12-06T15:55:54Z

@game-coder28 @game-coder28-dad Thanks for looking into it; look's like it's just me, I can't get the executable to run, it just says "The application 'RampioMacBugFix' can't be opened." I'll try to delete it and download again.

What We Hold In Our Hearts by mgoadric 2018-12-03T21:45:01Z

Not the arrow keys, but the less than and greater than keys, @bj-pucci I can see how that is very confusing, I just added in functionality for the arrow keys too, hope that fixes it!

What We Hold In Our Hearts by mgoadric 2018-12-04T19:34:37Z

@kirke Thanks for playing! You can only pick 3 to start, but you can save all 3 if you time your running right, and go back to pick them up when you drop them.

What We Hold In Our Hearts by mgoadric 2018-12-05T20:21:02Z

@donitz Thanks for playing! Good find! I think I need to update the drop timer mechanic, it currently resets each time you move left, but now I think it should only reset when you pick up something. When I tested it, I only ran left to pick something up. Ah, the joys of making a game in a weekend :)

What We Hold In Our Hearts by mgoadric 2018-12-06T16:25:31Z

@applepicke thanks for playing! The exhausted breathing sound is triggered when you start running too fast, I wanted it to be an integrated warning instead of a slider bar on the top. This can definitely be tweaked to be a little more obvious how they are related, great feedback!

What We Hold In Our Hearts by mgoadric 2018-12-06T16:29:03Z

@kantieno thanks for the playthrough description, this is exactly the user experience I was hoping for! I think I need more feedback that a fast run with 0 saved items is a loss, and some noises/animations when you drop something to indicate the player is distraught about the loss.

@icegold I'm definitely hoping to expand it to some more waypoints and safe houses. Thanks again!

What We Hold In Our Hearts by mgoadric 2018-12-06T16:31:56Z

@eddie-li @zetorama thanks for the feedback and playing! I'm glad it struck a chord for you with the mood, it was my main goal to get the player invested in saving the items and scared of losing them in a very short amount of time.

What We Hold In Our Hearts by mgoadric 2018-12-06T20:02:05Z

@minelsaygisever @codesity @mobiledev Thanks for playing! @game-coder28 I will try to get the start and stop animations smoother, thanks for playing it on your stream!

What We Hold In Our Hearts by mgoadric 2018-12-08T12:50:23Z

Oh no! @iluvatar It should be either the arrow keys, or the left and right angle brackets for moving. Were you at least able to pick up the items in the beginning with the number keys at the top of the keyboard? Thanks for giving it a try.

Ascension by tvle83 2018-12-05T18:56:43Z

Nice movement on the minions, would look cool with some animations on the sprites. Sometimes I just moved back and forth to watch them change positions. I think I was always able to shoot lightning even when the meter was empty for it. I also didn't know where I could walk or not, it looked like there was a wall in the upper left, but I couldn't go through the water near it either? I'm not sure what the fruit or bones or gold were in the game, I kept seeing my numbers go up but never saw them. No matter when I died, it always said I ascended, which sounds like a win condition message, but it felt like I lost.

Wild Heat Showdown by Akusan 2018-12-06T16:47:19Z

Nice procedural generation! I agree with earlier feedback, missing the cursor and controlling the gun with the mouse was very difficult to manage, especially when jumping. The camera movement was so focused on the character I was having trouble trying to follow the action. I didn't even focus on the minimap, just trying to destroy the enemies, but I didn't make much progress. Will have to go back and try another approach next time.

The Mist by tpamir 2018-12-05T20:12:29Z

Very nice! I made it 26 days before I ran out of faith. I agree it needs some balancing, I knew I would run out of faith for a few turns but there was no option for me to rescue it, and I had to keep playing. Great graphics to match your theme!

Little Kingdom by tulipekoni 2018-12-05T18:24:13Z

I really like the idea of your game, and the large image above really helped me figure out what to do. My first run through I built a bunch of small islands, with no money, but wasn't making any money either. The next time, I tried to add a camp as you show in the picture, and now I'm making money? Not sure why I'm getting money. Does the little dialog bubble mean the villagers need that type of block? If I have the camp, then when I click on the main castle, it also shows the camp text overtop of the castle text... Eventually they demanded a fence which I didn't have the resources for, my gold grew exponentially, but then happiness declined at the same rate, and the game was over. I think you have the core of a fun resource building game!

Unnecessary Evil by Eva Abollivier 2018-12-05T20:32:09Z

Very nice sprite animations! Cool mechanics that you only learn by playing the game!

Tim's Christmas Nightmare by Zombie Virals 2018-12-04T17:19:31Z

Nice setting and creepy intro. Awesome animations and lantern lighting! Was difficult without any weapons, just trying to roll as much as possible and avoid everything. Couldn't really avoid the lasers. What did the snowman with glasses say? I did find a candycane when one of the monsters fell into a saw, was that a powerup? I liked that you could make progress and respawn at later points, but the continual loss of 3 presents when I died was discouraging. I made it to the tunnel of spinning death saws.

Blood Typer by Eduardo Scheffler 2018-12-05T15:51:18Z

Great job finishing your game! The walking and biting animations were very nice. I tried to understand the goal of the game, but I failed. I couldn't seem to get in the hospital, the door opened and closed, did it have an effect when I got close to it? There were bags of blood in the upper left, but they just kept getting lower on blood no matter how many people I attacked or what their blood type was. Also, control+arrows was the key combo for swapping screens on my Mac, taking me away from the browser every so often.

Split Soul by Sthor726 2018-12-05T21:00:48Z

Nice idea, cool puzzles to solve! It took me a while to make progress with the controls being very precise. Also, I fell off to the left on the first level, and it didn't restart.

Be The Bridge by Codesity 2018-12-06T19:30:17Z

Nice idea for a game, it gets hard when your vision scope is so small and there's no way back. I would put a symbol at the end trigger for each level so you know where you are trying to reach, I was surprised to finish level 1 and jump to level 2.

Rain Away by hechi 2018-12-06T16:59:25Z

Nice entry! I wish I could have changed gravity in mid-air sometimes, it felt like I had to hit the otherside before using the power again. I really liked how the level changed up each time, but felt like they were familiar by using the same building blocks in a different order, kept me on my toes the whole time!

Sacrifice to Survive by BJ Pucci 2018-12-04T17:00:10Z

Interesting game, definitely needed some sacrifice to win. Took me a while to figure out that the weapons and bullets would only work on the red enemies, I tried to shoot my followers to get them out the way, after around 50, they had me surrounded! Then I discovered what the buttons would do, and I finally got rid of them. Couldn't find most of the red ones for a while, then saw them all clustered together in one place. Was down to the last one, and made an enormous speed boost to find him, but I was able to escape the bounds of the world, and then couldn't get back in! Also, I couldn't get the options menu to work for me. Thanks for making it, congrats on finishing your first Ludum Dare!

Nice graphics! It didn't always give me the option to sacrifice when I needed too, took a couple of hits in the beginning with the bird to get the sacrifice menu. I liked how they were tied to your abilities in the game that you needed, only through play and failure can you figure out how to make progress.

My First Ludum Dare Game! by SirNovahc 2018-12-05T21:09:28Z

Congrats on finishing your game! I also ran off the platform, went in search of enemies and didn't see but one.

Hunger Sings by Swanijam 2018-12-08T03:03:11Z

Great narrative, excellent graphics! I really liked the grass waving and color scheme.

Vikrifice by Lucidus 2018-12-04T19:04:26Z

Nice work! I liked the double-jump, excellent artwork! Did I need to collect all the skulls? I picked up the cat, to tradefor the pig, but I think the first level ended before I got all the skulls. So much pig blood!

Very cool idea! Good job! :top:

Volgar by jeu_embouteillage 2018-12-06T16:17:40Z

Score of 12798.75! For a while I didn't understand that the building in the center was the church to be upgraded, then my engine really took off. Easy to pick up mechanics, enjoyed the flow and tech tree. Were the sacrificed villagers at each stage selected randomly or in order of creation? Hovering with the mouse to see the number of workers was a little tedious, would be helpful to overlay the number graphically. Very nice game!

Flying Slime by gamefive 2018-12-05T16:07:05Z

Scratch, hooray! I tried to shoot for a while, but didn't know that I needed the blue potions. Would be nice to have a way to restart the game, the big red head moved again when I hit space after dying, but nothing else started.

Gears by DJH 2018-12-05T18:39:34Z

Nice innovative game! I wish I could have gotten further, I got stuck on level 3 where you had to go backwards and under the ledge, just couldn't get the timing right. The idea of interlocking gears for movement is cool, I wish the animation of the gears on different levels would reverse, right now it looks like the teeth of the gear are passing through each other instead of binding like actual gears. Great work!

All Is Well by MKnooihuisen 2019-10-17T14:15:23Z

Nice dialog system! Wasn't able to get the projectile to hit any enemies, had better luck with left-clicking.

Soundmarine by Dustyroom 2019-10-08T14:05:23Z

Your screenshots look beautiful. But, when I tried the MacOS version, the outlines of all the images constantly overlapped, eventually filling up the screen with purple. I was unable to play the game. Also, when I hit escape, the only option was to Pause, not Quit, and I needed to use Siri to open my Activity Monitor to kill the game process.

Wandering Soul by negator2vc 2019-10-17T14:39:54Z

I liked the graphics and animation, especially the hairy ghost. There were some sound glitches for me on scene transitions, and the fighting was a little repetitive.

Leaf blower by Papaver 2019-10-08T14:27:59Z

It took me a while to get started and understanding the mechanics, but once I was moving the ball up, it all made sense. Very nice work and challenging puzzles!

[SSS] - Scandinavian Settlement Skirmish by AwesomeAlliterationAlliance 2019-10-17T14:33:52Z

Nice economy settlement mechanics! On my first island, once I clicked on trying to make a Stone Mine, I couldn't click on anything else. There was no stone, but the game wouldn't let me pick an Apple Farm or anything else. Luckily, I was slowly accumulating apples, so I survived!

Solar System Clicker - Browser game by lanz611 2019-10-17T14:07:23Z

Could only see 1/4 of the screen on my MacOS in Chrome. Nice work on the physics simulator!

very nice parallax effect, good animations! Good demo of your concept.

When Nothing Came by velvetlobster 2019-10-17T14:26:53Z

Excellent work! At first I thought the backward walking was out of place, but once I got into the game, it felt very much a part of the experience.

Oracle Pine by Swanijam 2019-10-17T14:10:25Z

Wasn't able to get it to open on my MacBook Pro, running 10.14.5

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-08T14:21:33Z

I like your graphics, and the floating animations! This feels like a great exploration of your mechanics, I would like to revisit some of the players multiple times, and try to predict how they will interact with me.

GettingHome by Mowgli 2019-10-08T14:16:16Z

I enjoyed the simple controls and straight-forward goal of your game. It would be nice to have a timer on the screen showing me how much time I have left, adding to my stress level, the ending right now is quite sudden. I was able to finally win! I used the strategy of gathering all the boxes to the first floor lift door, and then going left and right in a pattern of pickup and drop.

Colour Shot by HumphreysMedia 2019-10-17T13:58:53Z

Very clean graphics and well-executed concept!

Skelebro by Redimension Games 2019-10-08T13:43:23Z

Very nice concept and use of the theme! I had a hard time getting my jumps timed in the beginning. Made it to two legs! Will come back and play some more later. Also, I found that I could still play, move, and jump once the Game Over screen showed up :) It was much harder that way..

Los Cactus: Trip with Nothing by MoonRoll 2019-10-17T14:04:06Z

Very innovative idea! Took me a few tries to figure out the movement, I was just tapping space, not holding it to build momentum. Once I got that, it all worked.

A Field of Flowers by KeithSwanger 2019-10-17T14:59:18Z

Took me a while to figure out how to interact with the seeds and no longer hold the sun. Nice work on the art and overall mood!
