I like the background music. Your levels feel well-thought out. The collider seems very large for the top of surfaces, I could walk off the edge of most things without falling down, which saved me in a number of places :) I felt odd without arms on the character, and the large pink humanoids in the background were somewhat creepy to me. On level 2, there were some stairs that looked reachable at first, but were too far back to ever walk up; I wanted to get to them but I didn't see any way to get there. I really like the art and font for your loading menu, good work overall!

Ah I see, level 2 introduces background tiles which look like foreground tiles as a means to confuse the player and introduce a little difficulty through visuals rather than pinpoint accurate jumps and are meant to have you seek an alternative path.
But I can see, that in the context of playing several ludum dare titles in a short period of time, one would rather think of it as a bug than deliberate design.
However thanks for the feedback and playing the game. cheers~
Kinda wish I did drugs, I think this awesome game would be even more mental if I was high :D I really liked the level design. Also the flow of the game, weird, crazy, weirded, crazier - end.
You enter via the mouth...3.1 you leave via the arse..lol.
"I hope you had a good time" I did :D Thanks for creating, good job!

binaryferret! You're actually awesome for noticing my "story"! I really regret not having done proper graphics for the human insides. Was originally planning to have some meat and maybe a ribcage in the background of world 2. But alas, the time.

Nice job on the music and the overall aesthetic. I liked the pink dudes hanging out in the levels they definitely added to the weirdness in a good way. Good job!
So far the best implementation of unity built in physic for player movement I have seen yet. Good job on fine tuning the details of your physics!
This is very ~~Japanese~~ strange in a good way. The aesthetic, the audio; everything all awesome.
Too simple though: **jump!** then **jump!** some more. Glitching the goal music is funny and the journey is definitely worth the trouble; _very cool, very cool_.
I wuv you too. :sparkling_heart:

Nice imaginative game ! Especially because you have to jump on floating poo to reach you goal which is... unprecedented, at least for me ! Levels are cleverly designed.
I really love those big "meaty" Giants in the background! The overall aesthetic is very unique and kinda trippy but in a good way!
I guess the fact that you have to hit the pole exactly and that you sometimes really can't distinguish the foreground from the background to add more difficulty but I gotta say that it way annoying at times.
But overall a really great and fun experience!

A very pretty little platform game. The best part of this game is background music. I would have preferred less levels and instead more to do. But overall a great LD game.
Neat! I like the 2.5D here, though I must admit I was a little confused at the start of level 2.
Great BGM! What did you use for it? It sounds pretty chippy, is that the BeepBox.co? I'll have to check it out.
Oh, and I love all the giants too.

what a wild ride that was, its silly and yet enjoyable. The music fits well and I really like that pretty much everything is animated or moving in some way, it really gives an odd life to the game world.
The controls feel a little loose, but that may have been intended and I think you said above the difficulty wasn't intended to come from pinpoint jumps anyways.
great game
This is great! Very accomplished! Love the animation of the character. Nice, bright, colourful levels. The music is very fitting and I like the sound effect when you die - very suitable.
There is a small bug whereby you can sometimes jump past the finish line - in my opinion the trigger should enclose the entire finish line model...but that's a very minor point!
Excellent work!

Very interesting world! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation [video series](https://youtu.be/GZJJwwdwpaQ), if you’d like to take a look :)

Hey all! Thanks for the kind words. :3
@simonhutchinson yes! I found out about beepbox.co during the ld, I can just really recommend it. With the easy scales it takes pretty much all the complicated theory stuff out of music and editing tunes while they're playing is making making music pretty easy and super fast.
@mmason yeah, actually after I added the music I noticed that while the BGM was nice it didn't really fit the world, because nothing was animated yet. And so it really forced my hand to have everything resonate to the music. Later the script I did for the animation got reused for the level design. :D
@richard-micheal-smith actually I just love to break the game a little myself. When I tested the game I always frantically jumped through the finish line over and over again. I couldn't possibly strip the players of the enjoyment I got out of that. xD
@jupiter-hadley actually I checked your channel daily since the day I registered supersmallworlds on your sheet. :)

Hey! Nice game. I like the wacky art style. The controls feel a bit too stiff to my taste, for example when doing precision jumping puzzles. I didn't really feel that I had much control over them jumps. Also, I'm not a fan of the character not moving with the platforms! :D Besides that, it's a nice entry!
This game looks weird, but in a good way
I got confused by background tiles looking like foreground tiles, making me jump on them and falling to my death. The controls made it hard to make a precise jump. Was this intended to make the game more difficult?
Overall, I had fun playing it though.
I enjoyed the visuals (love the pink dudes) and the music (world 2 in particular). I would have preferred variable height jumping. The rest of the controls felt pretty good. I understood what you were doing with world two and the "sneaky" depth, but I think there needs to be just a little more contrast between the depths. In it's current form it feels more cheap than "oh, i should have been paying closer attention". A lot of content for 48 hours - great entry!

@anarbitrarymustache yeah, I felt so clever when I thought of the "depth-puzzle" and it's way easier in the downloadable versions, as they include shadows, which basically show you the solution in the background. Unfortunately the unity webbuild doesn't include shadows.
@for-science actually, the first thing I developed was the jump and then I proceeded to create levels around that mechanic, which I felt would introduce an adaequat challenge. But if I ever do a jumping game again, I'll probably put more time into it and will definetly program a custom jumping-physic instead of relying on unitys 2D-physics. :)

Impressive level design and assets - a little bit frustrating with the controls - they do not allow for fine-control sometimes so some of the jumps felt a little bit unfair. But overall a very good entry

@elzach A decent platformer. Levels had some quirky puzzle solving too theme. I like the environmental models (guy with the gaping mouth).

Man, really like the overall look and feel of the game (including the lumbering pink guys). Controls could have been a bit tighter, and the second level (as folks have mentioned) was a bit confusing about what was foreground and background. Wish that there was a visual or audio indicator when you crossed the finish line. You have to wait a few seconds before the level ends. Overall solid entry!
If you get the time, Feedback on my game Sling Ship would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
Although I found the controls a bit mushy, there's some really nice level design here, and a good variety of music. I like the models too. :tada: Oh and the ease at which you can fall off the victory platform reminded me of Trials HD.

Nice tiny platformer :) I had hard times at some levels figuring out the right path. Besides that you really have a lot of content in there for just 48 hours of creating this. Good job on that mate :) Maybe want to check out my platformer which is kinda 2D/3D :D

Love the weirdness. Creepy meatdudes, awesome stuff. Controls felt a bit rough and the background/foreground elements seemed a bit too hard to distinguish sometimes, but I understand that's part of the design of the game.
Controls feel a bit sticky, but otherwise a fine platformer. The lack of shadows on web does make it a lot more difficult though.
Weird an fun to play little game! Good compo entry! Your graphic assets got their own unique style. Controls got to be tweaked. Music totally supports the general mood of your game.
its a really fun game! the controls work good. Maybe improve the graphics and add a life bar and something that indicates when you die and when you win. Anyway i have a good time playing ^^

Reminds me of the custom platformer maps people made for Team Fortress Classic. Good times. Fun. Excellent graphics too.

Fun little game. Has some of the more dominant platformer problems though - like getting stuck around corners, and too little friction for the weight, when you need heavily timed jumps. I would have also like the game to restart immediately when I die instead of playing the audio, it breaks the "gotta beat it" frustration replaying factor. :P Good stuff otherwise!
It was a pretty nice game. I managed to get to the end ! In my opinion, a few things could be improved : - The inertia while moving feels a bit awkward, when I stop pressing a direction, the character is still moving too much before stopping. - It was sometimes hard to see which plateforms were true plateforms and which one are in the background (it has already been said above, I agree with @anarbitrarymustache) - Not totally sure about the music
Other than that, the result is pretty impressive for a Compo entry, you made different nice looking environments, I liked it. Good job !
