I enjoyed playing your game! I found it confusing at first that you used arrow keys, which are stacked on the keyboard, instead of four keys in a row like ASDF, since the teeth are laid out in a row, but my mind slowly mapped and caught on. Were the drops preprogrammed to follow particular beats in the song or randomly generated? Excellent bubbles, the graphics while playing were nice, the menus were a little pixelated. Thanks for making this game!

Good "hit the beat" game! Took a moment to get used to the timing of the trash stacking changing the arrow placement, but well done overall!
I like the game play. Graphic is nice and idea of arrows going up when u failed is epic
You did a great job with this game. Keep it up!
It's a simple concept, yet effective concept and that's the strength of it :)! Really nice work with the graphics, it looks and feels polished :D! I did found the font a bit hard to read, but that's maybe just me :3

Interesting twist on a rhythm game, I liked it. Graphics were nice, the background wasn't just static so it was quite nice to see some life there. I think it would be cool if there was some sound effect on hitting a key well, currently the only feedback is visual.

WOW! Enjoyed playing it. Love this genre and you created a very nice game in it. I really played several times just for the sake of playing, this how much i liked it. Cool songs on levels. And also, i really liked that you've created a game with such a morale. Saving planet from destructive human activities is very important and it's my pleasure to see this topic here, in games you create. If it appeared even in our favourite media (talking about games) this means that we still can save the Earth. Congratulations! Great job, great game!
The penalty twist was a great addition to an otherwise-straightforward rhythm game. I found the timing sometimes felt contrary to my instinct, but then I'm neither a drummer nor a dancer. Great use of theme and innovation overall.

Overall this was nice but I really don't think the music tracks after the first one fit the aquatic theme, threw me off completely.
A clever interpretation of the genre. I had so much trouble with the up and down arrows though, my brain just couldn't properly identify which button to press because they aren't aligned left-to-right on my keyboard. 😆
I enjoyed the songs and the trash models. I wasn't sure what to think of the parchment backgrounds for the UI; It didn't seem to fit the theme very much. The sand at the bottom has some blown out light hitting it, which doesn't help focus and composition of the scene.
I dig the whale silhouette.
Wonderful game and great idea! It is special feelilng when yoe end a song and all your arrow are raelly close to the top, but you still did everything great. Loved it!

I really loved the twist of the arrow going upwards. I would however prefer something like "QWER" for controls because I didn't try to play it on my DDR pad and it was quite unnatural to map positions of those arrow on the screen on my arrows on a keyboard.

I really like the idea of pushing the arrows to the top, it's a graet gameplay idea, though I don't really get the connexion with the theme ;) And also, I don't know how hard it is to make but I think it would be funnier if you based the patterns on the music's riffs rather than always on the beat.

I love that music, especially stage 3's. It was a bit difficult to press Up and Down keys at sametime. Otherwith I enjoyed all!
Great game! Very cool and interesting! :D

Not super original, because it is DDR after all, but the implementation was great, and the twist of the arrow going up every time you missed made this feel very different from classic DDR. The music was really nice and the levels were challenging but fair.
One minor complaint is that I think it would be nice if there was a small audio indication when you got the arrows correctly / wrongly.
The implementation of the game theme was very nicely done. Often I'd see an up and right arrow moving together but because I had failed one of them already the timing was different because of the height of the stacks. That was very clever although because of this the timing is also a bit of from the music, an annoying conflict. Maybe you could make sure they jump to the next beat.

Really love the topic of this game. The idea is innovative, and the graphics and the sound tracks are also great. But about the gameplay, when the gabbage stacks up, the arrows seem do not go with the rhythm. Maybe this needs more adjusted.
Wow, this is a really cool game, and an awesome twist on rhythm games.
Really well made game. I'm not good at these types of games, but I was happy to complete the easiest level the second time I tried. The idea of growing up the arrows due to the pile of trash making you have a shorter time to react and I presume have to catch them out of sync with what might else have been easier was a really cool idea.
First time I played I lost after having filled up only the bottom two levels and the game didn't give me any warning that it was a fail condition. Maybe it said something to the side, but I had no attention to spare, so if there's a limit where you loose that is further down than the top-most possible, I think there should be something of a dashed line to let the player know what type of margin they have. It also helps staying more focused if and make it more exciting if you _know_ that you can't afford a single mistake.

@local-minimum You probably encountered the second lose condition which happens when your score gets too far into the negatives. This is to prevent the tactic of just spamming to hit every arrow. I agree we should have put some clarification in for that one but it was just a quick hack ^^
Nice game, I hope to see more updates and improvments sooner. If you don't bother take a look at our game when we focused on Graphics and visuals and see the results that we got: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/spacelab-42
