Ah! I like this game quite a bit. I enjoyed the past action and simple gameplay. The art is quite good and the variety of level is impressive. Great work! Congratulations on finishing within 48hrs!

Pretty cool game, really simple to play and as such quite addictive. Got something like 1400~ points (yeah i suck?) Congrats on your game man. Also what are some of the easter eggs, i did not find any? Also what are those other dead spikys in the start of the game?

I really liked the variation, it brought a lot when the game play is really simple. This is a good example of why polishing matters!

Sometimes I didn't jump even though I pressed a button. It felt like a bug, but I guess it is because you check if the avatar is on the ground and then and only then do the jump. This makes it near impossible to jump when I touch the ground. What I expected was to be able to hold down the button and always jump when I touch the ground.

Great work on the variation, the graphics and the sound though!

I enjoyed this, nice idea for an infinite runner- had a wario ware feel to it! The collision seems to be a little sticky as I got caught on walls on a couple of my runs. Good work!

Cool game, simple but fun. It can get quite tense as your score goes up, just one miss-timed jump and its all over. The graphics and sound are both excellent, with some nice variation between levels. Overall a very well made game, congrats!

Great little game. Even though the graphics are simple they fit the overall appearance. I played on Android and had some fun. The only problem is that the theme is integrated weak. :)

Very fun, fast-paced game! I really like the fast, pause free gameplay but the levels repeated a bit to fast. The gameplay is incredibly basic but works really well. Some textures used another pixel scaling than other, which to me looks terrible but the sfx and music was really nice.

Gave your game a try. A simple yet fun game to play. I personally liked the idea of a endless runner set across multiple rooms representing parallel universes and how the apocalypse explosion was chasing after you. It's not terribly innovative, but it serves its purpose.

I also liked the mechanic of how running over certain props in the world gave you extra bonus points, almost like as an incentive to try different routes and see what's the best way to increase your score while speed is building up. :stuck_out_tongue:

There's not much to say regarding gameplay other than what's been said above. However, even if I'm not our teams artist, I do have to agree with the previous comment and say that the different pixel scaling between objects is really the only major problem I see in the game.

Basically, what I mean is how certain objects both in the background and foreground use different pixel scaling references. It's kind of difficult to explain by words, so I've added a mushroom picture example by the end of the paragraph. Notice how, in the scaled mushroom, one border pixel isn't exactly one pixel, but multiple ones together. Having multiple sprites with different 'border sizes' like this creates a clashing sensation, and disorients the player a bit when it comes to environment scale which exactly the problem with sprites in your game. Giving sprites a small touches, like the manual touched-up mushroom, where each border pixel is exactly one pixel helps the game look much more consistent.

I understand the game was made under a tight time limit and some stuff needed to be prioritized/cut as a consequence, but in case you plan to revisit this later after _Ludum Dare_ I would definitely suggest you to work together with another artist, as I can definitely see see this becoming a fun and fast-paced endless runner to play on a mobile, even if it's just for a quick playthrough.

Fun game. Gameplay is quite simple, but it keeps you playing for a while.

gamechoy 2017-05-18 11:34

Fun little runner, really love the different level types and the fast paced gameplay. Graphics were nice and I loved how the destructible environment added points. Great entry!

louspirit 2017-05-18 11:40

Great job on your game! I wonder how you've been able to do this in 48h. It is really fun to play and the controls is easy to take in hand. I appreciate the randomness of world and musics. The fact to destroy really increase the interest of the runner - the effects are so nice.

I think you slighty changed the theme from "A small world" to "Small worlds" but it is ok

himeija 2017-05-18 11:56

3359 !

The game is fun and well done!

Congratulations for having realized this in less than 24h.

nightshadow0 2017-05-18 12:03

Surprisingly addictive! The game starts out at 11 and stays there though, there wasn't even enough time to read the premise on the first level, nor was i able to read any of the text that came up when hitting stuff. I also got stuck a few times when landing on corners. Really fun regardless, though, nice work!

dick-claus 2017-05-18 12:06

1970!

Funny game. Is that right that I have to finish same level twice?

The idea is good. And gameplay is pretty catchy.

Good job!

yami-no-tenshi-8 2017-05-18 12:46

Really nice game, I had fun playing it. A bit frustrating sometimes when the jump is not working and you don't know why, or when you get stuck in the middle of a block after a jump. Otherwise, solid gameplay and entry ! Good job

A lot of fun, although the jump does sometimes seem unresponsive :/

Love the Rick and Morty world with the butts

The audio gets annoying pretty quickly, maybe just use an a little longer loop (May be intentional to show how short the worlds are etc. but I still think it should be longer) and turn down the jumping sound a notch...

Just add an online highscore too and this would be an incredibly addicting game

sagarpatel25700 2017-05-18 13:16

- Scored 2000 , i have to say its really fun to play

jiri-one 2017-05-18 13:40

very fun game, my highscore is 2017.

mateus-trigueiro 2017-05-18 14:22

Simple, yet fun. Tried several times to beat my own high scores.

I really enjoyed the level variation. You took the Jam's theme in a really interesting way. Also enjoyed the small props that you smash for bonus points. The graphics looked okay (nothing too absurd, since some objects are really small and we can't see the details in them) and the tiles and backgrounds are really simple.

I think the only two things I missed was some sort of leaderbord for the highest scores - it does seem like a good game for comparing scores with your friends - and menus for options, pausing or quitting the game.

I do think your game is kinda nice! Good job.

pascalman 2017-05-18 14:41

Funny but hard for me. Great job!

siridakis 2017-05-19 00:08

Cool game. A simple idea and a lot of fun. I liked the variety of scenarios, the written things and the points for breaking stuff hahaha My highscore was only 1214 :(

Challenging, fun game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNgoyhHtWC0
