Cool idea and I liked it!
Nice and polished game but why no ARROW support. I have azerty :(
Really ncie graphics! The black should have attracted the stars
Cool. I'm wondering what your general coding approach was?
This was cool to play but I would have liked something like a time out for the weapon to shoot or some drag on rotation of the gun. Great game!
Haha, it's nice that all building are moveable!
Damn, this was a nice game. I really liked the chasing mechanics and the additional blindness (dark)! Some extra artwork would have been very nice. I really enjoyed it ;) Check out my game in my bio!
Can't get past Level 04. Nice that it's challenging! This really a very unique concept.
This looks like a very polished game!
Cool game but damn it was hard :D Cool concept and art.
Original concept but controls were kind of hard to control! Great work
I didn't understand the game but the controls to move the box were great.
@Brouilles, I tried again but it looks like it didn't trigger my box.
Couldn't get past Level 3. Really good theme for it!
It's truly remarkable that you created all those 3Dmodels during only 48 hours! What software did you use? I love the urban atmosphere and the city feels alive. Great work!
Throwing around with space haha! Great effort  and I appreciate the 2-person mode. Also check out my game if you have the time
Haha great, I really liked the part of neatly stacking your boxes on your ship. As a nice skipper, you sail steadily to the other shore by revving down the engines but only for your boat to turn around and launch all your boxes into the air, like wannabe Falcon X rockets  Great concept but I would have like to see a more consisent artstyle.
It looks so easy but it is so hard. I couldn't manage to keep my job even after 5 shifts. During the first shift, I didn't knew that I could right click to ship/discard my cargo. Great job!
This game gave me a lot of chuckles haha. Let's get tinwork for the community!
Pixel art is great and I love the idea of using bee' in a video game! The bee looks especially great and it's a fun concept. Great job
It's the character a little bit inspired by Bioshock haha. The duct tape looked like paper as it decays almost instantly in some occasions. But hey, who puts duct tape on wet surfaces, everyone knows it wouldn't stick! Great job
Great effort with a pretty uncommon idea  the intro is indeed pretty long as other have already listed.
@ticklemecolor You can rotate with right click(holding) and dragging to access the hidden parts. Hope this helps? :)Thanks for playing
@gilgusmaximus Thanks, the web build is certainly not the most optimal build. I worked on a little feedback to let the Player know if a block has fallen out of the world, but scrapped it at the last moment. I should have implement some sort of UI element, or camera shake.
@m8rix thanks for the feedback! I will try to play your game.
@tuism Thank you for this constructive feedback. If you place a building on a spot, you can never build another piece on this spot. This was to prevent to keep spamming buildings and keep trying. I should have implement some small feedback for the next ground/level piece, as it was already in the code. If you place consecutive pieces within a time frame of 3 seconds, you build up a combo multiplier. This is a multiplier added on top of your score. If you fail to build a piece within a 3 seconds timeframe, the combo multiplier will be reset to 1. This is to encourage the player to build as fast as possible, but this also increases the chance of tipping over of your construction. I'm not a very skilled UI designer, so it was very time consuming to obtain a "speedy" combo train effect going.
(can't delete a duplicate of comment)
@reimari@endurion I had a correction system in place but it was kind of quirky and unstable. I also like that you don't know exactly where it's going to be placed to make it harder!
@ghen Thanks man! Sometimes you can get pretty high with a bit of luck.
@arthridas Haha yes!
@ravenflame it was hard to get a grip on the Camera as it sometimes looks it has a life on it's own  @firehawk @elenesski The placement of the next base/level needs more polishing @marcel-oyuela-bonzani After one weekend of coding, I'm going to take a coding break for a week hehe
@erendelous; the city is running out of space and therefore they have the ridiculous idea of building vertically. Thanks for playing/rating!
@anstabo @borys haha thanks!
@mowztouch @artem-sinica thanks for playing! I ran short of time to implement some sort of indication where it would be placed but this was unchartered territory to use a shader for this.
@jamesolivermusic haha yes, right click and dragging just did that. Thank for playing!
@shrekshao that's really cool. Didn't know the game yet! @saoi-games Thanks for playing. You also played my previous entry in LD41 so I'll definetly keep an eye on your stream sometimes!
Easy mechanics but still pretty complex after then add levels. I love the speedrun option and especially the 'simple and clean' look of the game. It just feels right. Chapeau!
This looks very polished and it has a complementary art style. It's a pretty new and neat concept. I tried coding a small sort of Tetris last LD, but that was pretty buggy in comparison with this one. Nice work!
Also play and rate my game at(if you want): https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/evolucity-build-as-high-as-you-can
The sound during the intro, the bass. That's definitely something I like. The game and sounds feels very polished and fits 100% with the theme. I only couldn't get the Tractor beam to work? I'm on an Azerty keyboard so I also tried the w key but no avail. Maybe I did something wrong.
You can try and add it the Jam section? That way, you can still participate!
The gameplay looks pretty fast-paced. The sound gets a little bit repetitive after some levels. Graphics also have a certain standard and blend well together. Great effort
Truky remarkable graphics! Especially in one weekend. Combat feels responsive ennfluid. Great effort. Also try my game https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/evolucity-build-as-high-as-you-can
This is a very innovative concept and unexpectedly it was really satisfying to make as much combo's possible. I only had some problems with keys not dissapearing and the yellow key shifting to a complete random letter in another position. I can imagine, it was probably a real mess to program this haha
The slime sprites remind me of Rick & Morty
Great artwork and 3D modelling! It's a great idea. It would have been more fun if the spawning rate of the coffins was higher and/or the timers were lower?
@ittinop yea why not. You won't change anything to the core gameplay, just tweaking it
Can you provide download links?
Cool concept and it gets pretty hard very fast. The movement is a bit counter-intuitive as you should expect that pressing W would move the ship in the direction it is facing.
I can't manage to launch the Windows Build? The launcher dissapears when I click on it :(
Haha the guy is running in space on a treadmill? Great artsyile
Games looks really great, the aestetics and art style 5/5! I experienced some weird clipping of the buildings, not displaying in the correct layer layout. Great effort
The music is pretty spot on, as @ian-kettlewell mentioned I also felt the controls were inversed. You should die if you get off the platform/ground.
Really good looking low poly effect. Funny sound effect when you kill someone. It's weird that the witness count goes up, even if you don't attack someone?
You might want to put all your folder into a zip folder and upload that zip file.
Nevertheless, this game is a real gem! I thought it was super easy but after a few levels, not so much. Distinctive artstyle that fits the theme perfectly. Really great. A real gem and so polished! Congrats
Wow, it was hard (?) as I didn't expect that and the respawn is pretty fast. I would have already died before I saw we restarted the game. Great work!
Really nice game! It feels polished except the movement speed of the troops. They are really slow  Great Work.
Also check out my game in my Profile!
Woow the art! It reminds me of Tatooine like planet from Star Wars!
Nicely done in 5 hours. I think the Nerdy should move faster, now it's a little easy and slow-paced?
Haha cool. This was a fun game! Check out my game if you have any time and leave a rating / high score
Wow This is definitely a hidden gem between the entries. It got really dificult really fast, increasing the challange. It looks polished and also plays very polished. Really congrats to you! 5/5
Also rate and play my game, if you want!
The car was moving pretty slowly haha! The zombies are a really nice detail. I also got problems with my game that it was depending on the framerate but I fixed it on mondaymorning at 1AM, deadline was 3 AM :p
Please also check out my game!
I LOVE CATS WITH A BOOSTER PACK. I really like those little details in your Game Over Screen!
@soyrandom I saw your game from last year and wanted to check if you also participated in LD41. Too bad you didn't have enough time this year but the theme and art style are really matching already!I espacially like the octopus type of enemies
Also try playing my game. It is a combination of Flappy Bird & Tetris: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/flaptris-flappy-bird-tetris
Really great game. It felt really polished and you implemented a lot of features on such a shirt time frame. The movement seems a bit inconsistent as sometimes I can move 3 tiles and sometimes only 1 tile?
That is some nice art right there. I would like to join him in the forest instead of being at work!! Great work for your first game jam.
Also check out my game, it's a combination of Flappy Bird & Tetris: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/flaptris-flappy-bird-tetris
The Dashing feels very heavy and that's a very polished feel. Too bad I'm on an Azerty keyboard so it's difficult for me to use QWAD
Please also play/rate my game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/flaptris-flappy-bird-tetris
Are you THE RIDDLER from Batman haha. Seriously difficult riddles :id:
@Jakub Panek please also check out my game. It is a combination of Flappy Bird & Tetris.
@Schu I saw you commented on my game from last year and wanted to check if you also participated in LD41. First of all, these elephants (?) look cute . I can't even pronounce the name "BlipBlapBall". I'm always thinking about Blip Blap Bloop.
Also try playing my game. It is a combination of Flappy Bird & Tetris: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/flaptris-flappy-bird-tetris
It feels very polished and fun to play. It's very difficult to move fast along the platform to not mess it up (which ofcourse I did ) Very nice art, espacially the Controls GIF at the top of this page! Great work, also check out my version of Tetris!
This is my #1 game that i've tested! Difficult to keep a note to elevate myself. I'll mention you to my friends to leave a rating/comment.
Also rate/play my game, if you want
I will try your game, but also test my game
It is a combination of Flappy Bird and Tetris
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/flaptris-flappy-bird-tetris
@caeonosphere Haha, yea I just watched Season 2 of Stranger Things. I couldn't solve this 'diagonally bug' yesterday, so yea it hopefully doesn't occur a lot. Thanks for playing!
Still 13.000 is crazy high!
@gemberkoekje, glad you describe it as "duivels moeilijk" ;)
@jk5000 You will trigger the Alarm, if your blocks are all the way to the left. Thanks for feedback!
What was your highscore?
@Memel06 Thanks for the feedback! You can really make a mess if you're not carefull where to place the blocks. It does get easier when you play more.
@Poroh Yea, I had to increase the overall atmosphere a little bit with the dramatic zoom :D I've also created a port to my Android Device and it is much more fun on a phone with touch than the space bar.
@zoglu Wooow! That's high. I've added your Highscore in the game's description so it can be there forever (if not beaten ofc)
@Call_me_Nutty Thanks for the elaborate feedback! When designing the game, I wanted it to be an Android game explaining the necessary clicking on the capsules. I've ported a version to my Android Device and the controls feel much more comfortable. I do share your opinion as it is quiet distracting if you have to use your keyboard and mouse and you lose focus of the game. Maybe a good idea, to implement a button to explode all capsules but this will diminish the tactics involved.
@Vinterskog, I also noticed that the music was too loud. It was 2AM yesterday and I was happy it was uploaded hehe. I didn't have time to implement the sliding effect yet, but it would certainly add to the fun factor. Thanks!!
@Andreadbx NEW HIGHSCORE YES!
@Beetrootmonkey @Krystof-Klestil I could try adding these platforms when I get back from Work. I'll keep you updated
@zoglu , ADDED :smile:
@Radical-Dog Haha yes  It is funny that we both had the same concept. I really like the flapping wings in your version! Great work. Did you also find the theme extremely difficult at first?
@mao ADDED :D Thanks! Definitely the highest so far
@mao @fashionbatman @DevEmil @James-Dunlap @edj99 @rainysolar Thanks all for your qualitive feedback. I do regret not adding some small time delay before clicking the block into place, as time was up
@Culin @PSiv yes, it was one bug Icouldnt solved at 2 AM on Monday  Thanks for playing!
@cincodenada wow thanks for those kind words
@Blinkenlights I'll try to get that fixed today and also a Mac build
@Ashtrail What do you mean with (hard to beat for the Windows only google drive) I was in a hurry uploading it to the Compo hehe. I didn't have any time to reupload another platform.
Thanks for feedback!
@saoi-games Thanks for playing! I saw you had some problems with the collision detection and I know it was a problem but I couldn't manage to solve it in time. I already solved it but I think it's cheating if I reupload a new version.
It is a fiendish hard game, but you will get a lot better with some playing. You need to create a vertical row for it to dissapear and you also had the option to destroy blocks by clicking on the capsules, as stated in the 'extra info' in the left corner.
Thanks for playing!
Damn, those visual are nice! Shiny and a little oldskool effect. I was missing some feedback from hitting something and also my mouse movement was very slow.
Great work! Also try rating/playing my game
I must say that this is a pretty genious approach for Tetris. It's a pretty fast game if it gets a little but clutterd (and it did get cluttered very fast due to my low talent ) Great work!
Definitely 5/5 on Humor and Graphics! Great Work
I like the theme of click system on hexagonal grid. Must be pretty hard to code right?
Woow really cool. The grahpics are top notch 4.5 / 5!
A little odd but great interpretation of the theme! Love it
Those Kiwis look cute. WHY do I have to run them over? :(
@kumabotz If you want, please check out my game. It's a combination of Flappy Bird & Tetris
This art is beautifull but it is quite short, but still very impressive for 72 hours!
I'm digging the option that you can have 2 endings. I'm retrying now to try obataining the other ending.
Great work. Please also check out my game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/flaptris-flappy-bird-tetris
Damn, really nice for you first game. I really dig the flat colors. If you have time, also rate my game. It's a combination between Flappy Bird & Tetris :D
I love the minimalistic theme. I'm quiet bad at the game :D
I couldn't get past the guard  I think you should give more feedback when you run into a guard, like a sound or camera shake as now you can just keep running around untill the screen is black.
Nicely done!
Great pixelated graphics. The enemies are surely unique. I had some trouble with the slicing mechanic, espacially when slicing from Left to Right.
Also rate/play my game if you want
This was made in only 48 hours and your first game jam? NO WAY  You have to tell me more about how you implemented the 3D -> 2D effect. Is it just camera movement with some animations on top of it?
I've never ever created an RTS and I also wanted to make some sort of RTS next time, only if it fits the theme :p Great work!
Please also check out my game, if you have any time
Cool theme. I was shooting the slimy thing but couldnt manage to kill it. Maybe it's on purpose as bullets will just penetrate a slime without doing any harm?
Also rate/play my game if you want
This game feels something like "Journey".
