LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Save the Hats by Gruhh 2017-12-05T16:37:24Z

I really liked the graphics and the overall mood of the game. The idea of launching projectiles and catching them is super interesting, and i think it can be the concept of an amazing game. I had a bug when getting in the upper-platform, the camera not following me, and the overall experience was a bit slow. I didn't really feel the LD40 Theme in your game, because i didn't feel like the game was gettin harder when stacking hats. Anyway, great work guys : D

SUPER COP HERO by Finlal 2017-12-05T18:59:28Z

Great game idea ! Really hard because ennemy bullets are a bit too fast; but love the idea of having regular passengers disturbing you during your run. It can be an idea for a great game, if you decide to punish more the player for innocent kills. Theme is well respected and graphics are awesome ! Well done guys

Re:Tileation by Akusan 2017-12-05T15:40:33Z

Really nice game ! It looks really polished : ) The theme is well respected, it's kind of the same idea as our game https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/gutsbounce, where the bullets bounce on wall and hit the player

I loved the character, and how you re-use a single level design, with the ability you unlock

GutsBounce by StrangerYann 2017-12-06T11:31:53Z

@icxon @Bumibomber Thanks for your comments ! We are aware of the bugs left in the game, and are making a final build with : - Animation for every monster states (Ennemydeath / EnnemyHit / EnnemyShoot) - Parry mechanic to reflect bullets - Versus Mode with 3 arenas - Weapons (SMG, Bazooka, Shotgun, some trolls weapon) - Add Feedback when bullet hit player or ennemy - Maps scaled to fullscreen - Visual feedback on bullets bounce - More ennemies (bomber, tank, chasers, triple shooters ...) - Traps on floor and wall (spikes, fire etc) - Health pickup / Ammo Pickup - Secret room when you make a bomber explode on specific walls

LD44 — Your life is currency

Hammed Robbery by YouBeStrong 2019-05-02T03:23:51Z

Loved the intro :D The catchlines and the humor in this game is hilarious. Loved the piggy sound design on dialog, and the whole atmosphere

Actually the idea of getting more detectable with the coins you get is really interesting : D I would imagine a game like that with a scoring / speedrun incentive

Great job : D

Vital Operations by TinyCastleGuy 2019-05-02T02:48:42Z

Hahahahaha i laughed when i saw my character running with blood, without arm and brain x) The theme is well respected and the animation are really smooth. Liked the little 8bit/16bit feeling on the music :)

The idea can be interesting but it need more incentive to give the player the will to do this over and over again, like some upgrade system or anything, but for a game jam it's really nice : )

The Day Of The Chosen by sahoskins1 2019-05-04T02:56:53Z

Interesting entry, a text based game is always quite a challenge to maintain the player in it. The style was quite nice, as it was short and efficient. I definitely think a game like this need some sort of sound design to put some more depths into the story :) Nice entry

Worked to Death by ronin748 2019-05-02T02:41:01Z

Didn't manage to get the game working on my computer, we'll definitely take a look if there is an update, because it looks great : )

Calienows by fatPenguin 2019-05-04T02:05:46Z

I really loved the idea of that game, the potential is huge for a nice VS game : D Couldn't try it with a friend, as i was alone tryin it, but felt like it can be really funny with an opponent

I love how you put effort on feedback (capacity full feedback is nice, and the input to rotate the ship is cool when you just going to point A to B.

I would recommend adding some sort of Speed Boost to add some struggle between players , and i also felt little colliders were a bit frustrating. I think the ship should be able to cross little environment props, and still not be able to avoid trees and big rocks : )

Samurai Zombie Girl by RobotSoulsGames 2019-05-04T02:33:53Z

The amount of upgrades is pretty impressive for a game jam ! Getting stronger and stronger is always a nice lense in game design, so it felt nice, even if start feel a bit slow to me. Graphics and feedback are really ok for a jam, and this is quite a long playthrought, well done : )

Bakemono by Lawrence 2019-05-02T00:49:09Z

My favorite entry so far, the gameplay feel so smooth. One kind of game i will replay after the jam, it's really hugely fun ! Make it a full game : D Graphics are mood are amazing too, i gave it a 5/5

Flash Dash Dungeon by Raymoclaus 2019-05-02T03:34:45Z

The idea is really interesting, having your lifebar being a timer. The idea can definitely fit a full game, it can be very juicy. I like the feel it gives to the player, to be always in a hurry :D

Impressed it's a compo : o

Flow by arron-fowler 2019-05-04T02:22:37Z

The idea is very good. The game is quite hard at start, the time you understand how to manage the range of your 'attractor", but the technology is very satisfying to watch, and the concept can lead to amazing gameplay

I think the game is a bit too difficult at begin, making it quite frustrating until you can manage more hp and go faster, but the more you play, the more fun you get : D

Well done

Ashes by Sharks 2019-05-01T23:31:26Z

The idea is interesting. Had to play on windows build, as the OpenGl was super laggy for me (around 5 fps :x but i guess it's not easy when it's 3D). I think your can push this concept further as i think extinguishing fire awake some sort of "game design lenses" on me. A whole game designed around that can feel really amazing, so nice find : D

Lifelust by MateusBoga 2019-05-02T03:31:01Z

The GFX are purely amazing, really fan of this pixel art style : o Music is really nice too, especially liked the shop one

The game mechanics are pretty simple but the global mood make it work well. I loved how juicy feels the upgrade when looking at the store : D

I think this game would be more amazing if there were "short level bounds". I think the player can manage waves in a tiny space, but anyway great job. The overall game is solid to think of a post jam release, with some more combat mechanics : )

Beyond the Slot by Beebo Studios 2019-05-01T23:39:39Z

The introduction is hilarious hahaha :') I liked the movement mechanics and felt like the combat system was a bit too laggy, but the mood works great, and i like the idea of using a vendor machine as a source of inspiration for level design. Good job, i'll take a look at your other games : )

Deep Space Prospector by Roidz 2019-05-02T02:13:12Z

Nice game ! Pretty amazed by the content, the run is quite long to do : D I like games like that, were you start with little stats, and get more and more powerfull. The more you're into the game, the more you want to play : D

Mood is also nice, feels like alone in outer space ^_^

Lifeforms In Space by Eric Smith 2019-05-01T23:27:45Z

Really interesting game, loved the combat mechanic, will blend real time and turned-based events (the cooldown system is pretty neat : D). The mood is really well done, graphics, music and sound-design fits perfectly well together.

The idea for the tutorial is pretty fun, but i don't think it work that well for a strategy games, as it needs more information than a simple platformer or shooter game. But i appreciated it anyway

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-04T03:15:22Z

My gosh ! Reading your comments , i was expecting to live something peacefull and experimental, using voice control. Instead i was in hell for my 20 minute playthrought but it was hilarious (especially with my french accent which doesn't help).

Pretty singular entry in that ludum dare, i like the idea of having real time ennemies, while you yelling at your microphone to get away, it's so stressfull :')

Impressed by the technology too, recognizing specific words is something ! Well done

TimeForYourSouls by Suchista 2019-05-04T03:03:02Z

Really nice game for a jam, it's pretty ingenious :D Loved the reverse effect, which give some insanity to the mood of the game. The little intro is funny too, even if you play square, i like to have some humor, to feel the developper spirit ^^ The gameplay is really efficient too and can lead to a full game, with more levels, so maybe go further in post-jam : D

The black square mechanic is also well done, and you did a wonderfull level design around it !

Yodin Defense by Neon Glass 2019-05-02T02:37:10Z

The mood is really amazing, i loved the graphics, the feedback, and the whole atmosphere. I love to see my city spreading and killing more and more things : D

I also liked the infinite dezoom, which permit you to appreciate the combat in larger scales : 3

Great job, could definitely become a full game, with a complete upgrade system, and some more ennemies. The base-building mechanic is quite novative too : )

MEGATOID by GullynGames 2019-05-02T03:47:49Z

Screenshot_2.png

nice work for a compo : D Of course you can't have time to get huge graphics and feedback, but you did good ennemies, with nice bullet hell pattern. I was surprised when i saw the laser one, seems like you put a lot of effort into making the more content you can : )

Well done, i'll be nice on rating, according to your submission as a solo : )

UnderBreak by MlleAB 2019-04-30T22:38:34Z

@deprecat thanks for the feedback :) Your idea is actually really interesting, and we think we will try to add this to the game, as we all think it will improve the experience. We're exhausted for today, but we'll try your game tomorrow for sure : )

UnderBreak by MlleAB 2019-05-02T03:25:40Z

@fanmanpro thanks for your feedback : ) We looking forward to make somes fixes on the player physics. About the UI disappearing, it's a downgrade you choosed just before the third level ^.^

UnderBreak by MlleAB 2019-05-02T15:00:29Z

@fatpenguin thank you for your feedback : ) Glad you felt the undertale vibe : 3

Yeah the controls are a bit odd right now, and the movement is actually a malus effect from the demons you choose, but we are looking forward to a next update which will replace movement change with level design changes : )

UnderBreak by MlleAB 2019-05-03T21:39:34Z

@simplepotential Thanks for your feedback. Well for the theme, we decided to put it in a narrative way, with demons deciding on your fate, and choices having consequences, but yeah it's a bit light ^^

For the move disturb, it's the malus for the game jam build, as it's written on the pact you accept before launching each map. We are actually doing a Post-Jam build, with large levels and move malus replaced with level design changes, and combat difficulty change is on track : )

UnderBreak by MlleAB 2019-05-04T11:50:38Z

@weine Thanks for the feedback :) Yep, the game is easy right now, we already created some hard maps, which are 3X larger , and we plan to replace all the movement disturb pacts with power/level design pacts, for the post-jam build : )

UnderBreak by MlleAB 2019-05-04T16:41:58Z

@joror @luis-j-benitez @dusho thank for your feedbacks : ) We planning a post jam build which will change movement malus with level design and shoot effects : )

UnderBreak by MlleAB 2019-05-08T16:58:23Z

@Anonymous it's isn't as nothing from the jam build have changed, except bugfixes, which are autorised in the ludum dare rules : )

@Anonymous changelog is on the description now

Trade Droplets by lovetocode999 2019-05-04T02:27:48Z

As a first jam, i will be gentle, as it's normal to have something simple, especially if you are alone. The idea of a puzzle game like that, with narrative design and humor is a good, but to give the player the incentive to play more, it should have more background on the characters conversations, to create some mood :)

Texts from the king are a bit too fast too, had to replay 2 times to read the message fully ^^

Well done for a first jam, i'll be nice in ratings, considering it's your first jam

TREASURE ROOM by jutjuan 2019-05-04T02:41:13Z

I liked the mood of that game. For a first jam it's pretty impressive !! Graphics and Music works really fine, and gameplay is smooth. Felt like the game was a bit too easy as you can hit while going backward (even if mages make the game harder)

I like the FTIE too at the beginning of the game ! Very efficient way to learn the game fast :D

Mr. Mage and the Bag of Coins by Enjoy The Tale 2019-05-01T23:52:37Z

Loved the graphic and the music loop, which add a lot to the global mood : ) The idea of managing your chest while going though the level is interesting and can lead to very good game design situations : ) Couldn't go through the spikes zone, but felt like shooting and "flow" of the game was quite nice !

Speedrun Your Life by Kyrios 2019-05-04T03:08:24Z

Pretty nice graphics, i like the animations. I think the game is a bit too hard for me i guess x) i can go far by taking all the clocks i can see, but i'm taking like 3 hits per seconds x) For a runner like that, i guess player should have something really fast (and a big axe seems quite heavy for that pacing ^^), but it's a nice try to mix runner and combat mechanics : )

Fateshift by dougLima 2019-05-04T02:53:46Z

One of my favorite from the ludum dare so far. At first i thought it was going to be some sort of Cookie Clicker, but actually it's a new refreshing gameplay. The counter mechanic is really well done and feel super good to the player, and feedbacks are neat too : D

Awesome entry, you should push it to a real game !

BraveBelly (Thiccboy hurdle jump sim) no download required by TomasMunro 2019-05-01T23:45:28Z

Screenshot_1.png

Pretty funny game :D I loved the moods, the graphics are really lovely ! It's simple but everything work well together :3 Well done for this efficient runner

bird food by kyavi 2019-05-04T02:11:54Z

Wow ! Pretty surprised by the concept, in a very good way. I think it's the first game like that i see, which blend Snake and Puzzle mechanics. The guillotine is a huge add, and make the game fit the theme very well :)

Really good job, i think you can try to do a full game with that, for a smartphone build :D The game is a bit hard, as i think delay between each move is a bit fast

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Dark Soil by Pietro Ferrantelli 2018-04-29T21:31:47Z

An outstanding game ! Excellent work for a game jam : O Your mechanics are really well polish and the feeling is super fun. I love the idea of creating our own pathfinding

Rose-Coloured Dungeon Life by Junber 2018-04-29T01:47:45Z

I love the characterd style, especially that lion :D The UI and the moveset are quite nice too. The overall mood works well and i liked to progress though the different levels (didn't finished though :o)

Combat can be of course improved, but it's hard to have a decent combat system in a game jam, you should keep that lore and work the internia of the player

Well done : )

Build The Road Jack by badpaul34 2018-04-26T23:52:13Z

Impressive technology for a game jam ! I like the way you designed the level building, in an arcad'ish way. It appear to me as a prototype for a larger game design, which would be sort of a dynamic Trackmania. I would imagine a game where players race agains't other players, and let them choose 3-4 segments before the race, with some specifities on it (more curves / more speed / tricky jumps)

Controls of the car felt a bit rigid, but i decided it would not affect my rating, as it's really well done !

Humaning by PixelProductions 2018-04-25T22:46:29Z

Hahahaha i loved your game man :D So hilarious, especially the voice when you select a weapon. "Potato"

The lore is definitely good for a real game. Would love to see a game about a Fish "humaning" People to feed his family.

Music suit the game very well, and characters are hilarious

I gave out a 4/5 You miss the point because i got stucked in a bug where i had no weapon and no money at first playthough

Check my game : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blocksnblaster-1

Age of Pacman by Linus 2018-04-25T21:19:24Z

I liked the RTS mechanic as a lover of this genre, but i didn't feel the Pacman gameplay enough, other than the graphic style, so it appear to me like a single genre game, a real time strategy.

When several towers spawn it becomes interesting because you need to split your unit to lower the damage

Your pathfinding AI is pretty good and the behaviour of the units is really good too. With a pacman / rts mix, i would think about adding some ghost, and have to find a way to reach some gold nuggets to fight them

So, nice job in mechanic for a game jam, but you can take your theme farrer : D

Here's our game, if you wanna take a look : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blocksnblaster-1

Elite Beat Zombygons by Archimagus 2018-04-25T15:42:38Z

I loved your game man ! Remind me a lot of Necrodancer The score system is really juicy and rewarding, and the musics are awesome (as a music designer myself, i thumb up the music)

I think you can improve the score system but putting some more Score variety, like having some "Perfect/Good/MEH/Bad timing on each bullet, which multiply the score and combo. For example you could chain Perfect and have X1 multiplier on each hit etc etc

Here's our game : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blocksnblaster-1 A mix between Platformer/Shooter and a famouse puzzle game *whistle*

Shootanoid by drludos 2018-04-29T01:35:22Z

The concept is amazing, would definitely be great with a Gamepad and an analogic aiming ! As a solo jam it's a really good result, and i'm pretty sure this idea can fit a real release. Very well done, i considered you being solo in my notation

Wordelicious by ludipe 2018-04-26T22:00:06Z

Really interesting game, never saw something like that. Would definitely need a tutorial to learn the Left/right arrow system, but once you get past there, it's really a good experience. The amount of word is really impressive ( a bit surprised the word Ludum didn't worked : p )

Would love a game where you let people accept your words or not. After each day, you would have to vote for 5 random words said by other people

A great piece as a portfolio, really charming. You got my 4/5

Crowdsurf by Joe Cowman 2018-04-25T18:55:43Z

Great idea ! Can be really funny online with 3-4 players and a moderator. I love these games which try to find new way for players to express themselves

I understand the text choice for a game jam i'll consider that a good mood/theme, but i think it would be better with some graphics and feedbacks. Maybe you could let players sit as public or singers, and let them give a note for lyrics

Great job

Here's my game : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blocksnblaster-1

OUTLAW 🚗 MAYOR 🚓🚓 PANIC! by 01010111 2018-04-29T01:53:26Z

Quite in incredible game for a solo submit, well done ! The overall mood is incredible : o

Twin Stick Town by patrickgh3 2018-04-29T02:08:47Z

Clearly one of my favorite game of this entire jam. It's incredibly well polished. The feedbacks are amazings, the intertia of the character is perfect. I also loved the idea of blending Building and pure arcade shooting. I want a complete game like that, PLEASE

FAST CRASH by tweedle 2018-04-29T02:01:59Z

Cool idea ! The trivia part fit well in the car game. Could be a nice theme for a funny trivia games. I really loved the music, which suit perfectly the atmosphere

RTHM by fashionbatman 2018-04-26T01:01:53Z

I really liked your game man. Amazing works on the music, congratulations. Even if the graphics are simple, it works really well together. Well done

Cropshots by DavidPIxel 2018-04-26T03:25:01Z

Really fun to play. Had a few games and enjoyed all my playthrough. Controls are neat, and bullet pattern are really diversified. Amazing job on the graphics too ! Well done

RPGs Done Quick by rhythmlynx 2018-04-27T00:17:07Z

Hahahaha super funny concept. I loved how you made quest long and laborious, just to loose players who don't understand the real concept. Had a hard time on that dark romm x___x

I'm glad to see more and more Pioo 8 games appearing on game jams.

Super Bass Racing by isaaclopinho 2018-04-25T16:57:14Z

The idea is really funny, i wouldn't expect a game mixing fishing and racing x) I had quite a hard time figurating out how to control the game, but had fun. I think it can work with some tweaks on game rythm and controls. Art is nice too !

Check our game : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blocksnblaster-1

Crystal Library by Goplite 2018-04-25T23:01:34Z

THe music is super creepy but it really give a strong disturbing feeling. The work on vocals reverb is really interesting. The gameplay is overall pretty good but it miss some more events in the level.

I love your level design system, with top down view and 3D wall. Good jobs guys

Don't Shoot (Visual Novel / Tac Shooter by tigerrenko 2018-04-29T01:40:49Z

I like these novels i've been seeing on the net since few games. It's another way of expression for a jam and it's always interesting. As all these games, it need a complete story to get his true potential, but the initial lore here can be ok for a start : )

Puttsy by morrilet 2018-04-25T23:19:25Z

The combination is interesting, it can work on a full game, i really like the idea. Your Golf engine is super nice, i love the control and the physic of it ! I had a good time playing your game : )

It's All About Lasagna by kazuo256 2018-04-25T23:29:25Z

Graphics are amazing and super well polished. I like your character animation The dialogs are interesting and make me want to hear more

Gameplay is a bit rigid, as we have to repeat the same tasks quite a lot, but the universe is charming enough to give you a reason to do things

Well done guys

Duality by freso 2018-04-26T00:05:39Z

Ugh quite hard x) All these "dual-games" are always mind-blowing Interesting game, but would need simpler mechanics on both sides to be really enjoyable. Platformer side is a bit rigid too ^^ The music is nice !

Final Click ZX by candlesan 2018-04-27T03:16:14Z

Homings missile were very nice, and ennemies pattern were well executed. Nice job as a solo jammer : )

Jumpcard by pestodesign 2018-04-26T00:56:34Z

Really interesting mechanics. I think mixing platformer and card game is a huge challenge, so congratulations for this. The art is also really amazing and super coherent. The music is also really well polished

GolfZ by smiley 2018-04-25T22:37:05Z

The idea is really funny ! The golf part is pretty well coded, and works well (especially the tree which has a weird hitbox), but the fighting part felt a little rigid.

Art and general mood works well, i like the little music when you succeed a hole.

Here's my game, would appreciate a rating :) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blocksnblaster-1

ShootEm? by Merrol 2018-04-27T00:24:12Z

I liked the dialogs during all the playthought, we feel your passion it's nice ! I like the wall mechanic which feel cool, i would imagine a speedrun focusing on that gameplay

Check, Please! by swav_gav 2018-04-25T21:30:54Z

Hahahaha had a good time playing your game : D It's really funny It can definitely make a real game with a more scenes, and more events possibilites. I loved the graphic style and the way you show score at the end of the game I liked the music too, as a beatmaker myself, but i thought the mood was too punchy for your scene. It would need some more delicate jazzy feeling ^^

Anyway, great job guys

Here's our game : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blocksnblaster-1

Speed Card by DanielM 2018-04-25T22:53:41Z

Took me some time to understand the concept but the idea is good, and had fun playing with it. Would need some tweaks on combat rythm and feedbacks, but good work for a game jam

Blocks'N'Blaster by HPMNK 2018-04-24T13:15:27Z

@mainghia95 Thanks for the feedback ! We understand your point about game difficulty. We decided to put a quite high start speed, so the players get the juicy feeling straight. We wanted at first to have the ability to choose the game speed before launching the game. And we also think about keeping only simple shapes, to make the game more easy to handle :)

Blocks'N'Blaster by HPMNK 2018-04-25T00:45:12Z

@NoahRo Thanks for the feedback man : ) Your idea is really good, we discussed a bit about it at start, but we thought it could lead to numerous buggy situations (like rotating a block while on it)

Blocks'N'Blaster by HPMNK 2018-04-25T10:10:47Z

@Potondo Thanks for the feedback ! The ability to shoot while facing away is made on purpose for people who wants to go fast (You can also walk to exterior of the level bound and go to the other side like this) In a future build, speed will be rewarded with score :)

Blocks'N'Blaster by HPMNK 2018-04-25T14:08:19Z

@ctran13 Haha yeah would be amazing ! We thought about it but had no time to design it good. We'll definitely think about it for the final build, because we would love to have a Versus mode where you can push blocks into opponent screen.

Blocks'N'Blaster by HPMNK 2018-04-25T14:47:13Z

@Densin Thanks a lot for this complete feedback ! We didn't encountered that bug during our playtest, so your comment is very usefull. About the score layout problem, it will be fixed in 1-2 days, it's just because of bad anchors on Unity : )

Blocks'N'Blaster by HPMNK 2018-04-25T21:04:05Z

@Joe Cowman Thanks for the feedback :D About the down button, it's intended, we didn't had time to add it on the tutorial, and we aim to add particles feedbacks on it. It's meant for player who want to go fast and not wait the blocks to go down. We'll also add score to it, to make it feel rewarding

@Swarlly Hehe thanks man : ) We'll soon add a frame which tell the next block to appear, to let the player make better choices on his game

@Honest-Dan Thanks for the Twitch stream, and for your feedback. Your game is also really good, and can be publish i think :)

Blocks'N'Blaster by HPMNK 2018-04-26T20:41:53Z

@Julink @Colisan @Forest Thanks for your feedback guys, we're quite agree with you about the difficulty curve. That's why we'll release a build with some improvment on overall speed, and on malus, probably this week end . We also aim to create a Bomb powerup, to have to ability to clean the board more often during games

For the diagonal shoot, we are studying that possibility. We're not sure yet if it's good for our design or not. But we know that the main drawback of our game is the inability to reverse a game when too much blocks are there :)

Blocks'N'Blaster by HPMNK 2018-04-27T12:40:53Z

@Nannah THanks for your feedback ! We'll update the game soon with the ability for the player to choose his game speed. Score will also be affected by the speed : )

Blocks'N'Blaster by HPMNK 2018-04-28T04:59:46Z

@superpokeunicorn Thanks for your feedback :) We're planning everything you said ! We plan to do an update with a better score rewarding, more feedbacks on powerups, bombs powerups, mode speed, and also make the ray a bit bigger ! We'd also love to add a grenade pick up to launch on block, to give more relief to platformer part :) We'll do just a few for the jam, mostly QoL improvements, and we'll do the rest post jam for the final Itch.io build :)

Blocks'N'Blaster by HPMNK 2018-04-29T15:56:26Z

@neontropics Oh ! interesting feedback ! You would prefer the expert mode to be more punishing, and have the Line Cleaner removed ? We thought it could be a bit too hardcore as the speed cap get quite high ^^

Match with Monsters by Charlotte Fries 2018-04-26T00:26:14Z

Very funny game :) I like the dialogue and the overall mood. The idea is kinda unique, i think the theme is well respected Combat mechanic feel a bit too random though

Daxua by mainghia95 2018-04-25T17:47:06Z

Nice job ! The game truly have his own identity, and the slash moveset is incredible. The art and the music blend quite good together, even if i would imagine a sadder track; but loved the general mood

The game seems to freeze a little when you slash several ennemies, when you'll got that fixed, it'll be a pretty nice game to show :)

Honest Dan's Trout by Honest Dan 2018-04-25T13:54:32Z

Great works guys ! I really appreciate how you designed the mix between Tetris and Breakout. The game is super polish, is really fluid on WebGL builds, and i'm jealous you have a leaderboard : d

The binds for move/rotate are a bit hard to learn though. You should keep ASWD for move, but maybe rotate blocks with right mouse. I really think having the ability to rotate both sides isn't necessary, as it's really handable on one-side rotation

I rated 4.5 / 5. I think the music can be more polished

Here's our game, which is also a Tetris mixed with another genre : D https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blocksnblaster-1

Honest Dan's Trout by Honest Dan 2018-04-25T15:32:07Z

@Honest Dan About the right mouse you probably right ! We were quite affraid of that too when designing our game !

When do you plan to stream ? I would definitely look at that, to catch some pictures for my game : )

Rhythm Overdrive by Diblow 2018-04-25T17:41:09Z

Amazing games guys ! Very polished for a jam : D Loved the graphic and the general mood, the game is really fluid and the combo system is awesome

Would definitely some more feedbacks on Chorus compared to Verse part of the musics. Maybe add some ennemis or some challenge when music go to the climax. But you got my 4.5/5

The only drawback i would find is the use of known tracks. It would be an interesting game for lot of music designers !

Dirty Pink by Carpin 2018-04-25T18:44:21Z

Amazing graphics and animation. I love the style, and the music is really good too. The gameplay feel a bit too hard for me. The aim is too precise for a game which need to "build" the throwable objects. But for a game jam, it's really top-ass polish

Great job guys : D

SSSS by PlusMinus 2018-04-25T23:08:55Z

One of the best graphics i've seen so far. The game is really complex and has a lot of feature, but it need a tutorial to understand it. You should try to do an update of your game with a little Help ( i pressed H but it's not enough) , to boost your game

Music is also super nice and suit the theme very well

Maybe this game is too complex for a game jam. It needs a LOT of technologies to work out and be stable. I would recommend doing a "minified" version of this ^.^

Great jobs : )

Tower Deck Furenzy by Seanharrs 2018-04-25T14:02:25Z

Quite a fun game : ) Love the idea ! With more cards, and more dynamic handling of Gold, it can be really awesome : ) Theme is well respected

Flower Hero by Curt 2018-04-27T02:50:36Z

Interesting gameplay, i had fun playing with it. It's a bit mind-blowin' though, even in easy difficulty, because it goes fast x)

Rogue Poker by Balint 2018-04-26T00:52:37Z

Pretty innovatin idea. Had a nice time, replayed 4 times. High combinations could be more rewarding ^^

GUN-HOCKEY by isopoly 2018-04-24T02:08:01Z

Really interesting game :D The concept is really excellent and the theme is perfectly respected ! It might be a good idea to enlarge the disc and the arena, so you aim a bit less, and can counter more. The assisted aim doesn't feel rewarding, it would be better with a normal physics, it would create more happennings !

Great job guys : )

Check ours ! We mixed 2D shooter mechanics with puzzle game ! : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blocksnblaster-1

I love Pico 8 engine games ! So charming : D Quite hard game though ^.^ GJ

Grow Germinate upGrade entanGle by justalocalhero 2018-04-26T00:02:54Z

I thought it was a bit rigid at first, but then i saw you did it all by yourself , so congratulations for the effort. I love the idea of having "war fogs", not usual in games like that. I raised up my vote by 1 point, for the work : D

KEYBOARD WARRIOR by croewens 2018-04-27T00:07:09Z

Interesting concept, a bit mind blowing sometimes ^.^ I liked the inertia and the controls of the characters Impressive game for a solo jam : o

Crane Quandary by Strato 2018-04-26T22:14:25Z

Excellent game, should definitely be in the top 50 Tier list ! Your concept is so simple but so new. The level design is really well sequenced. It remind me the Nintendo way of Level Designing, by showing an example of a new mechanic, and then a smart way to use it.

The graphism is simple but it really works like a charm, so i gave out a 4.5/5, where as i gave lower notes on more detailed designs

And man, the music is really really good. As a music designer myself, i think you truly got the feeling of the game, and make it work

Congratulations : )

Fallen Leaves by LemonBalmGames 2018-04-26T00:18:21Z

The overall mood is really nice, i like the oniric feeling. Controls are good too, and i like the jump blink ability. The level design remind of XC maps in counter strike source ^^

Rogue Ball by ctran13 2018-04-27T02:58:27Z

Concept is really funny. Theme is definitely respected : D I think that top-down ball-pushing concept can suit a real game, which can be quite good !

TimeStaar [Turn Based Bullet Hell] by NullCode 2018-04-25T15:28:47Z

Incredible game ! You really invented something here, and the theme is really well respected. It can go to publish with few tweaks (like locking the mouse cursor on screen). It would definitely need a better understanding of the bullet trajectory per turn. It's quite hard to know where the bullet are gonna stop

You got my 4.5/5

A Knight of Music by Danny88881 2018-04-25T02:47:52Z

Pretty nice game ! I love the idea of playing a platformer, with input sequence to succeed. The concept respect the theme, you have my vote ! Music is quite cool too ^.^ The game need some tweaks to get his true potential, like getting Combo working, and maybe put a letter in the circles, because it's a bit hard to follow like this ^^ Well done

Fuel Race by Amour Du Pain 2018-04-26T00:10:46Z

I like the way the 3 bars are handled, it's a simple but enjoyable gameplay. It would need some extra features to have more sustain on them

Maroon by juju 2018-04-27T02:43:27Z

This game is very cute :D Loved the atmosphere

Super Platformer RPG by Silent Tower Games 2018-04-29T01:31:39Z

Funny concept, it remind me a bit of Paper Mario, where you have to jump on goombas in a RPG gameplay. Some platforms are quite difficult though ^.^
