I don't think I've laughed so much playing a game in a while. This is great! My best lines were *'I want to fill out a form; please drug me with chloroform'*, and *'this is a tip; Please run python pip'*. Any game that gets me to say that off the top of my head deserves a good score in my mind.
Some of the rhyming detection seemed a bit off, but its understandably hard to make work well in text form, especially with different accents. Great idea and good execution!

Crowd hype remained at 100% ! :D This was very fun to play, and I laughed quite a bit. First time I played the crowd wasn't very satisfied :D but the second time was the charm. I sure hope you're collecting what the players are typing in, so that you can get a good laugh too :) Great entry~!
Hahahahahaha, this was so fun! Very innovative! I played it three times and didnt even get tired of it. I cant believe how much content you managed to get in there. Anyways, tough crowd... :/ lyric.png
Thank you so much for this experience and good luck in the future! Have an awesome day, and I hope to see you in the next jam!

Great game. You did well with the rhyming mechanism but sometimes it didn't pick up that 2 words rhymed. Really fun game overall and very creative.
Awesome entry! The idea is really innovative, and I am genuinely impressed by how clever the game is at detecting if your verse is good or not. Maybe more time pressure and some clearer signal to player of how well he is doing would be good improvements. All in all, great game!

Really good idea. It's hard to rhym and 0 compatible with other lenguages (i tryed it :P) but the idea is 100% gold
Good concept, but for me, a person with not so good English, and even worst singing abilities it was a nightmare. But visually it's nice, songs are fantastic, overall really good game.

This is an excellent idea for a game! However, I'm terrible at improvising and failed horribly, haha
Really a lot of fun:
Your greatest lyric was "i like to conclude with a cat" (+11 Points) Your worst lyric was "oh yeah " (-5 Points). - I think your algorithm needs some adjusting to compensate for down rating tried and true lyrical cliches here ;)
they key to success is setting up some easy words to rhyme i think i discovered the secret to writing lyrics. Great game jam idea.

Great idea ! Can be really funny online with 3-4 players and a moderator. I love these games which try to find new way for players to express themselves
I understand the text choice for a game jam i'll consider that a good mood/theme, but i think it would be better with some graphics and feedbacks. Maybe you could let players sit as public or singers, and let them give a note for lyrics
Great job
Here's my game : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blocksnblaster-1
Performance anxiety the game! Really clever idea, but I found the strategy that worked for me was to just brainstorm word association nonsense with rhyming words on the end :P Maybe that's an apt critique of modern pop music.
really fun idea, great job!

Really fun idea and execution. I thought the music was good and the gameplay was entertaining, if not a little difficult to figure out at first. Really enjoyed the Doritos and Diet Sprite humor, haha. Great work!

Just great. So much fun.
My experience with writing lyrics in "real life" is pretty much exactly as its depicted in the game. So much so that this could totally be reworked (or just used as) a tool for helping develop creativity.

> Your greatest lyric was "let me write you a letter" (+14 Points)
A very good game. I had problems understanding the concept until i learned that related words count. And i could not figure out when to use the secret command, it kept telling me it wasn't the right time, even at 100% in the last song.
I love how the music gets you worked up to do some insane word-smithing action. Very impressed with the programming, concept and execution. Maybe give the player the first line of the lyrics to give them some direction or maybe have a prologue where they are playing a random song in their garage got practice?
@Potti You were so close! In order to use the secret command, you must have 30 seconds or less remaining in the last song with crowd hype at 100%.
You crushed the command line genre! This is a lot of fun I had a blast! I had some trouble in the beginning, but the learning only takes very little time. I wrote some of the dirtiest lines in my life, but I'm not so sure I want to share it :P (sed face). Agghhh my brain juice is running out!!! Great job btw
Holy hell this is it, that's the most fun I've ever had with a text-based game! Awesome! I really enjoyed that! And it's really well-done too, with the music and all! You guys deserve more credits for sure, I loved this :-D The only think I believe you could improve for sure is having like a window at the top of the screen that stays there, that recaps the 3 words you got for your theme, so you can see them at all times... Beyond that... amazing job! Impressive! I had a ball! Thanks for sharing you guys, awesome :-D
