Great art and music! The controls are a bit hard to grasp though. Overall it's really a fun game to play!

Great art and music! The controls are a bit hard to grasp though. Overall it's really a fun game to play!
The game mechanism is VERY interesting. The visuals are also very cool. However, I was personally confused about which elements I should really combine. I feel like as I play more I would learn by trials and errors, but there were so many elements! (And I am terribly bad at chem) Nevertheless it is undeniably a very good game.
This game is really satisfying to play! The dubbing really fits into the game and the graphics are well made!
Great game great art! This is definitely one of the best entries! I guess it would be better if there was a button for running? Or maybe it was your intention to have the player have more time to experience the atmosphere..
This game looks gorgeous! The music is very soothing. I don't know how difficult it is to implement this but it would be better if the biome was more diverse!
The character design is soooo cool haha as soon as I saw the cover photo I clicked in. The game is very interesting haha. Really like the feel of this game!
@GhostAndShell Thanks! We only have it on itch.io though. Hope you enjoyed the game!
@kataware Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! I'd love to hear more after you play the game, as I am trying to understand what is good/bad about the mechanism. Glad you liked it!
@candlesan Thanks a lot :) ! I had very little time to implement the orbs because I was busy with exams and stuff. In earlier builds the orbs could actually spammed, and we found out that it was problematic when our friends kept spamming the orbs. I will definitely take your advice and make it eaiser for players to see when they can use the orb and how many orbs they can use.
ERROR
@tetristar-interactive Hi! Thanks for bringing this issue up! Could you provide a screenshot or any relevant information so I could try to look into this problem?
@diptoman Haha good point! We didn't want them to look exactly like sperms but instead more in human forms so that it would be easier to come up with attack moves. I will add the indicator at some point in the future. Thanks for the feedback!
Sorry about the errors. It's my first title! Please bear with my elementary Unity skills hehe... Working on fixing the problems. Thank you all for the comments!
This game is very interesting! And I must say your art is top-notch! One problem is that I enjoyed the game in the first couple of minutes but the tasks kind of got a little bit repeatitive after a while. Maybe you could introduce some new mechanisms! But overall it's a very good game (especially for a jam)!
The sound effects are very well executed! The pacing is very good as well. It's surprising how fun the game could be just by having this interesting little mechanics
WOW This is amazing. Personally I would love the color palette if it was a piece of art, but (like many others have said) it kind of distracts us from the gaming experience. The game is so much fun. I love the mechanics, they are very simple but when put together are very effective. There is still a lot of potential in this game!
Killing the enemies with the rapid slashing is very satisfying. Also, the dark art style is very interseting.
The graphics and audio are amazing! One thing that could be improved is that you could make the clouds oscillate up and down. The game might look a littl bit too "static" with only the bids moving in the scene. Great game!
This game makes my dream come true d=====( ̄▽ ̄*)b ! Well done!
WOW This is the most intense game I've played so far! It is very interesting how you tied the theme with the mechanisms of this game. The charging audio is VERY nice. This game definitely has a lot of potential if you try to boil it down to the core of its mechanisms. Great work!
Wow it's amazing how many levels you crammed into this game within this short time! I really love the responsive controlsand the nice level designs. The only problem I found was when I pressed the jump button quickly, the double jump sound effect does not play. Anyways, I think everything in this game (music, art, control) all work together really well! I also like the little handdrawn instruction in the beginning. It's cute! Great work!
Thanks for the awesome bug report guys! WE are trying our best to reduce the number of bugs in the post-jam build. The more you diss on this game the better it becomes. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! d=====( ̄▽ ̄*)b
@soldierbear @MewSoul Thanks for for the bug report and suggestions! I tweaked the configurations on the AI in the latest build. But I have no idea how the player would be able to get stuck on the table lol. Guess we have a LOT of playtesting ahead of us.
@everyone Thanks so much for the ratings we finally hit 20!
Wow this game is very creative, and it's so much fun! Reminds me of the old days where the school computers had similar typing games! You could perhaps optimize the graphics a little bit. I played on my laptop with integrated graphics card (sorry) so the game was a bit laggy. But seriously this is the best cat game I've seen so far! Great work!
I LOVE the art! The characters are all so lovely, especially the Chatter! It is a very simple game but it brightens up the mood. I have only seen a Tamagotchi but never played it, now I really want to try it out after playing this game!
I love the art of this game; it is simple yet effective. I see that you are playing with the concept of risk & reward a little bit so I have a little suggestion. As I play the game I liked to stay on the border of the arena so that I could dodge the bullets better, but what if my damage becomes bigger if I get close to the monster. This is something worth trying out as it introduces more challenge with very little effort. This is really a good game considering it being your first entry! Nice work!
Great entry! The graphics are very nice and the music fits very well! Like others said, the game is a bit too challenging. Perhaps you could make the earlier levels a bit easier and build up the challenge as the player progress? However, the level designs are indeed very nice, very challenging, which is nice. The only thing that needs to improve is the difficulty curve. Also, the dog looks exactly the same to the dog in our entry! Anyway, good job!
Wow this game is very nice looking! The simple art style and animations worked together really well! It's amazing how you made all this content within such short time. I loved all the events. This game stands out from the rest of the games in that it has a interesting message and a very well-developed story line. Nice work!
The graphics are very nice, especially that time indicator on the top right! Like everyone said, the build-up is a little slow and the tasks get a bit repetitive after a while. However, I do like the feeling of constantly having to focus on the game and spamming the arrowkeys; This is something that many games fail to let players do - to engage. Nice entry!
WOW this as a jam game blew my mind. Really beautiful artwork. The puzzles are great; despite being simple, they are very interesting. I do agree that they are a bit repetitive, but they are probably better off kept this way than being turned into 4x4 or 5x5 grids which would be WAYYYY worse. The pacing of this game is very well executed, especially the ending (it literally gave me goose bumps). GREAT GREAT GAME!
This game keeps me engaged at all times! It's really well paced and well executed. Great job! There is no feedback I can give you now since this game is already very good. With a little more polish this game can easily be taken to the next level!
The colors are great! And the music/sound effects really fit into this kind of style. Overall this game is good, but it has a lot of space for improvement. The gameplay could become much better if you could make the controls a bit more responsive and the character more agile.Great work nonetheless!
The game is a lot of fun! I liked the unforgiving penalties for any mistakes, but you could perhaps introduce some more interesting mechanisms. For example, make the platforms a bit eaiser to jump onto by perhaps making them bigger, and then have springs, wind zones and some other physics based elements in the game. But this is just a thought. The graphics are amazing! Great work!
The music is very soothing and the graphics are very nice. You could definitely turn up the pace of the game though. The first couple of levels (at least 8 of them) could all be passed by simple holding space and one of the arrowkeys. Great game!
Nice interesting short game! The music is very nice, and the graphics are well done! (Too lazy to draw the arms b(* ̄▽ ̄*)d? BUT is this a microaggression on workaholics?
Great game! The art, audio, and gameplay really play well together. And it's always appreciated to have a desktop simulator in LDJam! After I installed super uninstaller I was like SCREW THIS and tried to uninstall "Computer". Sadly that was not one of the options. PLEASE MAKE THIS AN OPTION AND END THE SUFFERING ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!
The art is great! And the little texts that pop up over the memories bars are a nice touch! I would suggest to add more sound effects to the game (ex. when you hover over memory bars). The art and gameplay are polished but the sound effects falls a bit behind. Good job!
Great game! The intro is FIRE! I got to about 2700 meters high and couldn't get any higher. Here are some of my thoughts: I have to press the space bar VERY quickly to get a decent height, even on some of the earlier levels. Maybe it would be better if you tune down the difficulty a bit (like making it easier to reach the "red" zone) and increase the number of levels? Just a piece of personal opinion 😁. Anyways, good job!
This game is super fun! The voices add a nice touch to the feel of the game. I felt a bit frustrated with not being able to fully take control of the gameplay however. Even though I can control the front and rear door, I can hardly predict or control which way the passengers go. It would be great if you could give more control to players imho. And of course, Some splashes of blood when you run over passengers in front of the bus is always appreciated :P
Nice little puzzle game you got there! The level design is done very well. The difficulty curve is really the best among all the games I played so far. The game is quite finished. If you add in a bit more polish and sound effects it would be a great thing to have in the market!
One thing I think I should let you know is that I couldn't play the game on my laptop. When I clicked the exe file, it tells me I need a Java Runtime Environmnet, so I switched to my desktop PC and it worked. IDK if you could get rid of that software requirement but it would be nice.
Anyway, great work!
Wow this combination of the two genres work amazingly well! Not only that, the gameplay is soooo fluid and the art is very well done. The attacks feels like it borrows a lot from Mobs.Inc which also has a very fluid combat system. Thoroughly enjoyed this game!
Wow the level design in this is so well done! Even though the mechanism is very simple, I enjoyed this game for quite a long time! (The heart item was very VERY sneaky haha). The control was very responsive but I think it could be improved with a slightly slower upward velocity (like how the classic Mario jumps). I had some trouble clearing the red level which takes A LOT of jumping, so adding some Mario-like physics might help! Great job!
You crushed the command line genre! This is a lot of fun I had a blast! I had some trouble in the beginning, but the learning only takes very little time. I wrote some of the dirtiest lines in my life, but I'm not so sure I want to share it :P (sed face). Agghhh my brain juice is running out!!! Great job btw
Wow this is pretty awesome. I love the city building part. In the beginning I was building a very conventional tight grid system (that didn't work so well) and later made the grid wider to make more place for shooting! But what the hell are the enemies haha. Cheese people (more like cats), evil townspeople (zombies), and Ralph??? That's an awesome mix! The controls in this game is tight, and the pace is kept really well. Very well done guys!
This game has a very nice feel. Everything (the aesthetics, the music) you selected tie very well together. The trivia questions are interesting (I managed to get a 675 as a foreigner so I guess they are not THAT challenging) but I would prefer to see the answers after I got a wrong answer (or maybe I did not notice). You guys did a great job!
The music selection and the overall art expression is great! It tells a very complete story and also one that really resonates with a lot of people who have experienced LD before(I'm assuming you've been through LD. Not this LD, THAT LD). The last level though! The only problems I had was the sudden increase of difficulty in the last level and the over-powered "send letter" option (plus the overly sexy music in the end haha). But seriously the art and the message in this game is great! Good job you two!
This is a very nice tweak to the fighting genre! I think for most casual fighting game players, it's all about smashing random buttons and jumping around like we're crazy, but this game is more like rock-paper-scissors, Tekken, and Patapon mixed together, and it's awesome! It takes some more thinking and strategy. Also the animation is very fluid! Great job!
This game's got great humor and good pace. The yanderes are a bit difficult to get past though! Nevertheless I really enjoyed the game. It would be really nice to be able to see a collection of all the girls we successfully dated ehehe. Thanks for making our lives a bit less lonely.
The AI is nice. It seems like they respond very well to my actions. The graphics are very nice too! But I would totally appreciate some texture on those plain models. One thing I did not get is I can't seem to go to next move if I do not move. Sometimes I just want to sit still in one spot and try not to waste any thrusts. Is this intentionally designed for players to constantly move? Quite an ambitious project for a 72 hour jam you got. Nice job guys!
Just played it with my cousin! It's sooo much fun we finally stopped to leave a comment.
One problem though... We were playing on the browser. I was pressing right-ctrl to dash and my cousin was simultaneously pressing "w". As you know, the shortcut key to close tab is ctrl+w. So the tab just went POOF! Gone! We just stared at each other like who the heck just did that before finally realizing that the key combination was the problem.
We then downloaded the Windows version and the problem was gone.
Anyway, this entry is so full of fun. The audio was perfect and the game design was excellent! Great job you guys!
@GoldRanger Noted! We are trying to add in more features in the experimental build which will provide better UX as you suggested! Our bodies and brains are literally melting at this point so it might take some time before that comes out 😁
@bluescrn Thanks for letting us know! We will definitely adjust the difficulty curve in a future build. As for the "bug", I think it is caused by the poor optimization in the jam build (I'm assuming you downloaded that one). My apologies for the laggy controls and burning your CPU :p
@Mektidas The 0.1.0 version is the event version. I re-uploaded it yesterday with a convenient exe file to make everyone's life a bit easier :). Thanks for letting us know. We have updated the names to make it more obvious.
@Lost Dutchman Software SO GLAD you enjoyed the bubble wrap! Actually a lot of work went into that one (mostly optimization). I re-uploaded a convenient exe version after the deadline (instead of the raw, messy build that you get by default from Unity) to make installation and orginization a bit easier. So it might appear like we cheated (●'◡'●).
@patrickgh3 Thanks for all the feedback! We are still working on the balance of the game. Also we are improving the game's feedback. I have no idea why the button stopped working though... One more thing to investigate! As of the mouse turning.. it's a design decison we argued about. We actually had a another control scheme where you r block always faces wherever your cursor is but our designer cut it out due to some gameplay issue.
Thanks everyone for the input! Happy jaming!
@Angela He Glad you liked the Pepe console! We always run out of time to do the How to Play section (it's never been our strong suit😂). Thanks for reminding us. We'll add it in the next update for sure!
@ted Thanks for the kind words! we totally forgot to add a sensitivity option ughhh sorry about that. It's now on our to-do list!
@Dan Violet Sagmiller We're working on this issue right now. Unfortunately this is a very common issue with packed exe files and we can't find a nice solution yet. Thanks for bringing it up, we know now that this is a much more serious issue than we had thought.
@Aszu Thanks you SOO much for the feedback. Without you telling us we would never have noticed that it was an issue! We'll fix it in the next patch. And yes that totally made sense😁. It woudl be great if you could let us know which version (old or new) you downloaded so we can see if this is more of a optimization or a design issue.
@SecretPocketCat That was quite a detailed feedback. Thanks so much! The zooming in and out was intentional (maybe we overdid it...). We're constantly arguing about the control scheme so I guess we'll only be able to pick the best one after some suggestions *shrug
I'm actually visiting my cousin tonight so it's a perfect time to play your multiplayer game!
@SecretPocketCat Ayyye that control scheme was fixed thanks to you. All the tracks are listed here. musix.PNG I believe the "jazzy" one you are talking about is one of the first three tracks. The GDC music pack is pretty nice. It's got a lot of ambient sound effects and some useful small clips, but it doesn't have any compositions in there. I hope you find it useful!
@SecretPocketCat Ahahaha we'll say it's a feature for now😂 I found it hilarious to watch. I just realized I forgot to include that track on the itch page. That's my bad. I've updated the page, and the song's name is Sumber by Glass Boy. Man you have been super helpful I have to include you in the Special Thanks section. Many thanks for all the support!
The art is what I believe shines best in this game. The movement, however, is a bit difficult to figure out, but I got used to it after a short while. Nevertheless it's quite finished and very well done!
It's a fighting game with cards and rhythm. That's awesome! I enjoyed the game but I think it would be better if it doesn't randomly choose an action for me. That kind of destroys my own rhythm and makes it a bit difficult to know what to do next. But other than that I think this game is heading towards the right direction! Good job!
Wow just turned into a huge fan of yours. Really liked the color combinations you were going for and also the dark twisted theme (especially the one on the rooftop). It's really resonates me as I've lost some loved ones not long ago too. This game is really great! Looking forward to your future projects!
Great pixel art animation you got there! And very suitable music! However I found the game a little difficult and the movement a little laggy (there is about 0.5-1 second delay, dunno if that's intentional or not). However this is VERY impressive as it's single-handedly done in 72 hours! The gameplay certainly needs a bit more polish but everything else is very good already. Great job!
ooooooo the combo sound effect is TIGHT!!!! I loved the feel of the controls in this game. It's very responsive and requires a lot of focus and precision. The level design here is awesome too! IDK if you did it delibrately but there was a perfect design in level 2 where if I fall down by mistake I would get boosted up by one of those "boosters", thus given a second chance to go up. You've done a great job!
MAN this is so much fun. I got to as high as 4340 and it gets so crazy! I loved it when it becomes like a bullet hell, it's a bit dry before you get to that stage though. But it's a very good game and it actually would work so well on the mobile with a little bit of autonomy added in. Great work!
THIS IS JUST AWESOME!!! The sound effects gave me goose bumps throughout the whole game. VERY nice game design you have here and an excellent piece. The amount of work done within this short time is incredible! I really like the puzzles: they appear to be very mysterious but ultimately can be smoothly and intuitively solved. Keep up the good work! I would love to see more content if you are planning to continue developing this game.
FINALLY! Someone is actually making something beyond just a typical game. I'm sure there is some deep meaning in this game. Notice how that cow has red wings? How it has 4 feet and also 2 chicken legs? There's some deep message we are missing here... This game is not good at all, it's AWESOME! Good job comrade!
Man I almost fell in love with the yellow snake and it turned out to be a real ass! I mean... All the snakes (except the blue one, it's super nerdy and cute) are so hard to talk with *furiously scratch my head* !!!But honestly, great job with everything, especially the dialogues!
The cartoony style is very nice and the game is definitely well tested! One problem I had was the arrow key control scheme. Since this game is aiming for PC platform I guess aiming with the mouse would be more intuitive IMHO. But like I said, the game balance is done very well. I died once when the boss only had 5 HP UGHHHH! Well done guys!
The game starts off a bit hard but once I got the mechanism right it becomes so much fun! I use a technique I call "BABY STEPS" where each turn I just move slightly to avoid incoming bullets. Works amazingly well! The music and the aesthetics fit very well but I think it's the good combination of the turn-base and bullet hell genre that really shine here. Great job!
This is simple but it's so much fun! I just loved trying to get the ball to go as fast as possible but always (accidentally) lose or win after 2 to 3 minutes (sigh). I figured out a strategy which will make me always win the game though. I would always play super safe in the beginning and wait for the ball to speed up, when it's super fast I just simply move to the side a little bit and the opponent loses instantly. Maybe you could add a bit more logic to the enemy to avoid this kind of behaviour? But anyway, this is an additive and fun game. Well done!
Love the level design in this game! The music fits very well and the menu is on point! One problem I think you should avoid is to NOT have any level design that intentionally sets the player back. Sometimes the levels are a bit too hard to cross even if I move very carefully. With a little bit more balance this game could be a lot more fun. Keep up the good work! BTW, good pun ;)
Very nice message to deliver to the industry. (But seriously there is racism in elementary schools these days?? That's scary..). I personally would appreciate some more action to bring up the pace, and also more varieties to randomize the pattern. Great work!
This game is hilarious haha. The music fits so well I love it! I just got to a point where I didn't care about the strikes anymore and started furiously shooting at the ball with the assault rifle. One improvement I would suggest is to provide a mouse sensitivity option. The sensitivity was wayyyyy too high on my PC I started questioning the reality of my life. But still, this game is so much fun. Good job!
If LD has a rating field for "feel" I'd totally give it a 10 out of 5. Who doesn't love a responsive, fast pace fighting game? The difficulty level is very nicely designed and it keeps me tightly engaged for a very long time. (Actually played for one round before I barely beat the opponent). I wish there was more visual indication on the keyboard icons though. Perhaps shift the "w" and up arrow key upward to give a visual indication of where the key physically is? I personally find it a bit exhausting to read the icons and translate them into where the keys physically are. Great work guys!
Quite an impressive amount of work done by one person! I think the art is definitely strongest element in this game, as it hasn't reached its full potential from some other perspectives. I love how it's procedurally generated and a farming sim at the same time. This is very well done! One problem I had was I could see the world being generated on the edge of the screen (I played the web version on Chrome). It's not a big deal but I guess it's better if you know. Any hints for the secret **hideous grin** ┏ (゜ω゜)=☞
It's so nice to see something different in the visual novel genre. I don't play much of this genre but I can definitely tell this is something very unique. This game only needs some polish and some more content on the sword-fighting sequence to be on the shelf. I would really like to see how it turns out! Usually visual novels' pace are a little slow compared to most other genres, but this could bring a nice little mixture in there. Great content you got here. Good job!
Wow this both a good entry and a good FIRST entry! The mechanism is quite good. The style and music you picked for this game both fit very well. I would personally very like to see physical cards for this game. Cuz why not! Mobiles and physical card collections are probably the best place for this. Great work!
The concept of this game is quite interesting. I had to constantly pick up cards from enemies to destroy them. However I would personally appreciate faster action (things like wall run, double jump...). Also there was significant lag while loading the game even though my laptop has a decent graphics card. Some optimization worth working on there! Overall I really like this idea, can we expect a polished version soon? ( ̄_, ̄ )
This brings back so much nostalgia! This is a hard game though! It requires so much focus (which is nice) but also some steep learning curve (which is not so nice). But I think this is an awesome combination of the two games you referenced from. I personally feel like the control scheme is a bit weird. It took me a while to get used to (and still I was getting destroyed haha). But anyway great job guys! Really loved the feel!
The art is amazing. I love the glowing light on the character's face. It's a nice touch to the visuals. The dialogue is written very well, and the fact that it also ties with the gameplay makes it even better. (Got trolled after she told me to look at something on the right that one time though. Grrrrrrrrr)
I personally really liked to be challenged by driving and talking at the same time, and I believe you made it the core part of the game (perhaps). If so, I would suggest you to shorten the pauses a bit. Some pauses are a bit too long and they kind of go out of sync with the pacing in the rest of the game.
Great work.
