Holy shit, there's a LOT of content in there! Some good writing as well. I would love to have more choices in the dating novel-part, as well as a bit more fleshed-out combat, but I really like the idea. It could definitely go somewhere if you keep working on it. Good job!

I like the way you integrated the two genres in a splitscreen. Dating sims/visual novels aren't my cup of tea but the combat was good.
The art is great. Did you make it yourself?
The levels on the right hand side didn't match the environment of the left but other than that - nice unique idea!!
@mza I didn't make the visuals for the girls or the background art-- I used [KHmix](http://khmix.sakura.ne.jp/download.shtml) ([link to an english version in this forum thread](https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15061)) to make the visuals for them.
I got most of my background art from the [Ayaemo Creative Institute website](http://ayaemo.skr.jp/materials.html) (you might want to use google translate if you can't read Japanese-- I can't) or from just doing google image searches.
I made all of the other art myself, such as the top-down shooter tile/character/weapon sprites.

This was a nice and creative idea. It does not feel like I got all the way to the end, but the game finished, so I guess that was the 90% completed information. The fight for controls were pretty easy. With fine tuning it would be nice if each one had their own fighting style/weapon to make each encounter a bit different from each other. Well done getting this far!
This game put a huge smile on my face and is definitely the funniest game I've played in this jam so far. There are some great characters here; The Pyromaniac was easily my favorite. The main story of the game definitely has potential and I would like to see it fully completed someday!
I really appreciate the combat sections, not just as a good use of the theme, but as a "break" from the standard visual novel gameplay. However, I think they became quite repetitive towards the end of the game and I wish there were just a little more variation.
I am so sorry I had a family emergency mid playing your game on stream, and you had gone when I came back. Your game had such scope for interesting things!! I like the idea of different emotions winning and that changing the way your character reacts to situations in the story! It was pretty cool concept, understandably you werent able to finish everything within the jam - there would be a lot of scripting and possible branching. Good ambition, was nice to play your game :)
It's so nice to see something different in the visual novel genre. I don't play much of this genre but I can definitely tell this is something very unique. This game only needs some polish and some more content on the sword-fighting sequence to be on the shelf. I would really like to see how it turns out! Usually visual novels' pace are a little slow compared to most other genres, but this could bring a nice little mixture in there. Great content you got here. Good job!

Really interesting to see how you've approached story telling. I see what you mean about the linearity of the narrative, I found when writing my story that having to have a branch for each of the 4 options the player could have chosen was really hard to produce enough distinct content for.
I also just found that writing this much content takes a lot longer than you expect. Don't beat yourself up for not finishing, you've demonstrated an interesting and fun variation on the visual novel theme and a pretty novel way to explore the idea of compulsive behaviour.

Neat story. I included it in my Ludum Dare 41 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrZuBymYcB4
Good job! Cool game!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.
