@GhostAndShell Thanks! We only have it on itch.io though. Hope you enjoyed the game!
So this was a more polished game then most (although I've only rated 1 jam i think, the rest have been compos).
I'll try to break down the game through all the aspects, but I don't have much time so I will have to replay it later to get a better understanding. Note: I didn't play as much as I want, and I'll change the ratings later, but I can't gaurentee I'll make a new comment >-<
First off the biggest part to me was: Graphics! The game had very nice, clear, appeasing, and polished graphics. I am a huge fan of pixel art, and an aspiring pixel artist, as I am not too good.
Next, gameplay. Gameplay was fun enough, although I was all alone for the few minutes I played it xD When my brother wakes up tomorrow, we can play and I will go over my ratings.
I liked the audio for sure. I also liked the smooth animations and the pixel art style that was fantastic. Didn't understand how often I could use the orbs but I did like that the orbs seemed to target automatically so it's probably best that you can't spam them and leave them up to the opponent to dodge them with line of sight.
Really good mood.
FYI my antivirus keeps grabbing the game
@kataware Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! I'd love to hear more after you play the game, as I am trying to understand what is good/bad about the mechanism. Glad you liked it!
@candlesan Thanks a lot :) ! I had very little time to implement the orbs because I was busy with exams and stuff. In earlier builds the orbs could actually spammed, and we found out that it was problematic when our friends kept spamming the orbs. I will definitely take your advice and make it eaiser for players to see when they can use the orb and how many orbs they can use.
ERROR
@tetristar-interactive Hi! Thanks for bringing this issue up! Could you provide a screenshot or any relevant information so I could try to look into this problem?
OMG , graphics are amazing. Both players move pretty good and the game is really polished. Music is sooo good! :heart_eyes:
Sweet graphics! I liked the audio too! The sperms did not particularly looked like sperms to be honest though, hahah. I would have loved an indicator to know when I had the orb ready as well. But overall good stuff!
@diptoman Haha good point! We didn't want them to look exactly like sperms but instead more in human forms so that it would be easier to come up with attack moves. I will add the indicator at some point in the future. Thanks for the feedback!
Wow the graphics are amazing ! Had some real fun playing it with a mate of mine ! excellent work!
Huh.. I download the windows file, and after a warning from Avast, I run it and an error on an asian language pop-up. I can't play your entry. Looks good though
ART amazing! Love you game!!! 5 stars!
Amazing looking, truly an artistic project which oozes passion!
Hi, I get this error when I try to launch the game (Linux release):
``` megabrutal@thinkpad:~/Ludum Dare/LD38/Spermy$ ./Spermy.x86 Set current directory to /home/megabrutal/Ludum Dare/LD38/Spermy Found path: /home/megabrutal/Ludum Dare/LD38/Spermy/Spermy.x86 There is no data folder ```
Indeed, there is no game data in the archive, only the executable is there. Not rated.
The art is amazing! It's hard to find a multiplayer game this nice around here. You guys made it with expertise. I just missed a more intense soundtrack for the arena.
Nice! The graphics are really gorgeous, awesome work there. Nice audio too. Gameplay mechanics are pretty solid, I think my only complaint is that the shot cooldown is so long. Either some sort of cooldown indicator or balancing it such that it's a bit worse (less homing so it's easier to dodge?) but can be used more often might feel a bit better. I liked the zooming as well, it was a little off-putting at first but I got used to it pretty quickly. Fun game, nice work!
Sorry about the errors. It's my first title! Please bear with my elementary Unity skills hehe... Working on fixing the problems. Thank you all for the comments!
