This game idea is interesting, but the CountDown / Cooldown mechanics make it very hard to focus on the upper part of the screen. The card direction mechanic is also very confusing and I found it hard to know where your action is gonna take you.

@Valden Thanks for playing! That's actually what I want to achieve! To create a gameplay that requires the player to focus on multiple places at the same time. They need to be familiar with the system and the cards before they can play well.

I think that's kind of incompatible haha

I like the concept. It's rather solid and cool, and kinda addictive when I get used to it. For now I can only clear the first 2 stages and get group f--ked by the 3 f--kers in stage 3. :anger: Graphics is cool as always (I really like your rabbit farm, by the way). I think it would be much cooler if: - have sound effects when hitting/defending/getting hit by the enemies, so players can know what happens. Actually I didn't understand or having time to understand my character's HP bar when playing - In my playing I gave up watching at the cool-down & count-down bars at all. It's nearly impossible to focus on more than 2 things at the same time, and they would be what card to play and where the enemies are in this game. All I did was to 'feel & predict' the next cooldown in my mind. "So why not making this game in rhythm and beats?" The thought came into my mind and I realized that it would make this game super cool! The cooldown system naturally fits beats. And for the slow-down penalty system in your game, music can be slowed down or changed to another sorrow one, in terms of making players sad and uncomfortable.

@Wizcas You are totally right! I should add some more sound effect on it to tell the player what's going on, At first, I was trying to make this game some kind of different from the just rhythm game. However, after playing the game myself and your comment. Now I think that will be much better if I just make it base on rhythm and beats! Then we don't need the count-down anymore, we just require players to feel the beats and make each decision on time! Your comment really inspire me! Big thanks!!❤️

The concept is cool and the graphic is cute as usual! But I have to spend some time to figure out how to play haha. I thought that only the num key is needed and the mouse is useless haha.

@AL19890604 the mouse pointing is important! For the 4 direction card, you dash and attack to your current mouse direction! For the single direction card, it also adjusts the direction according to your current mouse direction. 😣

Nice use of the theme, arena fighter card game is definately a combo I never would have thought of :). Adding rhythm game to that mix might have been pushing it a bit far, which is what I assume you were going for with the cooldowns. Overall it was fun though, there were many times when I was frantically searching for a card that would get me out of my current situation, so the intensity and skill were definitely there. As other have mentioned, more comprehensive sound design would have enhanced the experience, but this wasn't really a huge issue. Overall, great execution of a unique idea.

Also, you're the guy that made rabbit farmer? Now I know why you're on my follow list. That shit was awesome, I swear I played that one for like an hour.

The mechanism is great, Although I didn't get use to it at the beginning(The countdown stage is kind of too fast for me). My idea is maybe add BGM and make cooldown time combine with music rhythm would make this game even better. Again, the mechanism is great already, with huge potential. Also thanks for your idea in my game.

I found it kind of hard to get into it, but once I understood the mechanics, the game becomes quite fun (the rhythm game vibe was pushing it a bit too far for me, though)

@SanyingLi @cowa @bar0net Thanks for playing and commenting! I think if want to develop this game, I will make two version (one with rhythm and one without it) and find which one is better! I think keeping this feature(time limit to play card) is cool, maybe in some different way. Or I may enable this at something like rush time and the rest of the time just let players think as long as they want!

Cool game! It takes some time to get used to the controls, but when you do it’s really fun. It’s quite difficult and there is a lot of stuff to keep track of at the same time. The card effect cooldown wasn’t entirely clear, so maybe that could be displayed in a better way. Overall, it’s a very solid entry with cool graphics and very good gameplay. Good job!

The game feels really hard though ! Despite many attempts i always get rekt by the two guys once they cornered me. But I still really like how the game pushes you, I don't find as frustrating as I could in other game for exemple, dunno why ...

Super solid compo entry, I really liked the mechanics and the mashup of genres, the best game involving cards I've seen so far. The only little drawback would be some of the sound design but I really enjoyed playing it good job !

It's a fighting game with cards and rhythm. That's awesome! I enjoyed the game but I think it would be better if it doesn't randomly choose an action for me. That kind of destroys my own rhythm and makes it a bit difficult to know what to do next. But other than that I think this game is heading towards the right direction! Good job!

This game is kinda cool but it's really hard to focus on the cooldown while select cards and choose a direction. I can't even beat the second level! The idea is pretty nice tho, i liked it!
