Wooow! Nice style, music and overall experience! Well done guys, I love it. If I had to give you some recommendations, give feedback after loosing a combat (I realized too late that my forces were dying). But great old styled game, simple and dynamic. Grat work and good luck.

pedro-miranda 2017-08-01 13:12

Nice game, enjoyed the graphics and the theme :D But I couldn't get my head around on how to build a army and attack cities :(

solah 2017-08-01 13:33

Impressive game! Took some time to figure things out and it's weird we can't reuse winning units, but that was fun.

Bon travail ! Vous avez mérité les chocolatines =p

lajazuve 2017-08-02 13:06

@mr-houdini : Thank you so much ! but yeah, I agree with you, feedbacks are indeed lacking in this area. Thanks a lot for the feeds!

@pedro-miranda : Thank you too ^^ Yes, we have some problems with the ergonomics, it’s not clear. To build an army it’s in the screen with the flask. the icons on the left are units that you can build. On the right there are the upgrade buttons. when you build your army, on the map click on the tower, you will see your army, click on “select” and next click on one of the cities. you will see the enemy army in that town. if you want to attack, click on “attack”. I hope that helping you!

@solah : Merci beaucoup ! et on accepte les chocolatine avec bonheur ^^ ! et oui effectivement ça serai pas mal si on a pas a resélectionner nos unités pour enchaîner directement. on garde ça en tête merci !

eretzoum 2017-08-02 16:36

Guys you should post instrucions on how to play! Nice graphics though

antaresvaldemar 2017-08-02 17:19

Pretty cool idea. The combat was a bit confusing though. It seems your troops all die no matter what you do, even if you win the battles. I think it could use some tweaking. But I like the idea, and the visuals and music are great. Nice work!

jaakko 2017-08-02 17:42

Add instructions!

michaelgrand 2017-08-02 18:51

I can see that a lot of work went into this game, but unfortunately I couldn't make sense of the controls. I spent life to build a few orcs, but it kept telling me I had to select minions to attack. I managed to attack and destroy a village once, but it was by pure chance and I couldn't replicate it. Sorry :( I see what the game is going for, but I just don't know the controls.

benjamin-armour 2017-08-02 19:26

i think i got most of this game understood, i only had 1 problem. it said i have 0/2 or 0/ etc number of guys and i tried to click on them so i could get them and attack bases and it wouldnt let me. . .maybe tyhis is just a problem by playing on the pc? idk but it made it unplayable because i couldnt attack as often and when it finally did work my power was so low that i lost anyway if i couldnt select enough dudes to fight.

jusw85 2017-08-02 19:48

I managed to beat four villages on the left, and two on the right before seeming to stumble on a bug that prevents me from selecting or moving troops. I did it twice more and it happened both times. Not sure if intended... Also, the troop timer seems to freeze sometimes, and I can't click or move anything, but it auto resolves itself after some time.

mikomikisomi 2017-08-02 20:49

Very nice game! I really like to concept, and the art is pretty good. Great job!

lajazuve 2017-08-02 20:53

@antaresvaldemar : Thanks ! yes, even when you win the battle you can have lose some troups. if you click on the village you attack, you will see the rest of your units.

@jaakko, @eretzoum,@michaelgrand : I've add instruction in a description, I hopes that helps you !

@benjamin-armour : the panel in the bottom of the screen with y/x, it's : y= Number of units you currently have selected / x= Total number of units produced. et yes, we will have to balance a little more the game. but thanks to you for the report !

@jusw85 Thank for the report ! i don't know when we can fix it, but i I'll talk to developers for that !

@mikomikisomi : Thank you <3

pablodap 2017-08-02 22:42

Nice graphics and music!

timothy-hoffman 2017-08-03 00:14

Delightful game! I was pretty confused at the start, but I got the hang of it eventuallly!

sampointoh 2017-08-03 00:47

Like some of the other commentators have said, I had some trouble figuring out exactly what was going on. Specifically I did not know how to move my units beyond the first town they attacked. It also wasn't clear what each unit did, a short summary would have been nice. I did like the music and graphics and found the game to be pretty fun.

michaeltwg 2017-08-03 12:55

Very nice, there are few bugs on how the troops are shown but the rest work very well. Well done! Graphics are also very cute

gimbalock 2017-08-03 14:49

Cool game. Nice pixel art, and great idea. I like the switching between flask screen and map screen. It was a little difficult to understand where troops were, and how to use them. Other than that, great game. Both in visuals and sound.

zenmumbler 2017-08-03 15:43

I had a few occasions where there was "No fight" when I picked some monsters and then they were gone and other things were also not completely clear to me, but I got about half way. Nice oldschool graphics and sound.

jake-shaw 2017-08-03 15:54

The style was well done and consistent with the art and sounds. Found the unit numbers slightly confusing as I couldn't get units back so didn't know how many I had.

pfeyffer 2017-08-03 15:58

Very cool game, I enjoyed playing it. I love the art style and the music. Click actions need some visual feedback so you know what you have selected and what will happen. Also some info about what each unit does, like how much damage, would be very helpful.

thygrrr 2017-08-03 16:17

Absolutely loving the Necromancer Flask theme for buying units. Well done!

Likes: - good graphics. love them pixels, reminds me remotely of early 16 bit era fantasy games - music with variety - interesting choices to make - NECROMANCY FTW!

Try differently: - very little feedback on UI and combats when you click on things. you had a big team, add more tweens and juice and clicks. :)

Overall: - nice, moody fantasy entry with a skeleton bonus :)

bigbugaudio 2017-08-03 16:48

Good game! I think the same way like others said, maybe a little bit of visual feedback would help at the beginning to understand faster what u're doing. Anyways it was interesting how you managed to make this game! Good work ;)

terribly-awesome-games 2017-08-03 16:51

I really enjoyed playing this game! The graphics were very nice, and I enjoyed being able to make units and predict what I would need for an encounter. More feedback would have been useful to the strategy (about what enemy and army units do). Overall, awesome effort!

dob 2017-08-03 22:11

Lots to love here. I really liked the unit variety and the setup, and the story and art were really fun. A couple of issues: (1) it wasn't clear whether you could just attack all cities, or whether you needed to work up the roads. I think up the roads in order would be cooler. (2) The interface and guy management was really weird and hard to use. I tried "Move" and "Select" and they didn't do what I thought they would, except once my guys moved from one occupied city to another. But I didn't seem to be able to re-use soldiers who'd already fought. (3) I think the constant loss of life was in there for the contest, but I think it's not a good feature for the game. Just let it be turn-based without time pressure. Then you also don't need the weird waiting-for-guys timer in the flask. Music and sound were good. I couldn't always read all the battle text, and of course it would be more fun if it were shown graphically with guys being removed rather than in words, but that's maybe beyond the scope of 72 hours. Nice work - I liked this - I just wish I were able to understand and use the interface better.

grandtheftmarmot 2017-08-03 22:21

Unbelievably good graphics and audio. Wow. You guys are a really good team.

lajazuve 2017-08-05 19:41

Thank you all of you !!! We listen to yours advices !! Any feedback is important, again , thank you !

@MichaelTWG : Hello teacher ^^ thank you !

gamechoy 2017-08-08 00:59

Really unique idea! Gameplay was fun and the soundtrack was great. I think I ran into some sort of glitch that prevented me from moving any troops or selecting them, but what I did get to play was great! Would love to see an expansion on this.

phantom-lab 2017-08-08 05:24

WOW! Awesome graphics and and overall nice idea. Would love to see a full game made out of this!

ruerob-hyky 2017-08-09 20:28

Haha! Thank you for your game! I liked to play it but it was really hard! :0) Or I've done something wrong. :0) I have conquered 3 villages and then I hadn't have enough power to build new people and didn't knew how to get my people back from the villages. I really liked the music and the graphics! haha! :0)

tero-pulkkinen 2017-08-12 12:18

The music was so awesome. With that comes great mood. The game itself wasn't too interesting, but the music/mood saved the whole project.

draklaw 2017-08-12 14:33

Quite good. It was hard to figure the control though, and the lack of feedback / informations makes it frustrating. I have no idea how strong is the guy in the castle or if he is more vulnerable to some units, so I just feel like I try things at random, which is not so fun.

Also, I think I encountered a bug twice. I had people in a town but could no longer select them because the button "move" was displayed. Clicking on it doesn't do anything and after re-selecting the town it is the same despite the fact that I didn't select any unit in-between. In this state, attacking doesn't work either, event with new units. I had to restart the game.

ribout-horace 2017-08-15 16:53

Pretty good old 8-bit game ! Very complex for a game made in only one week end ! Very impressive !

The music and the style work , but the lack of instructions made it hard to begin. + the fact that no feedback display when you lose and why you loose made it very hard to progress.

piscythe 2017-08-22 07:10

I find this game to be a bit of an odd case. It has a very strong graphical presentation, fitting sound effects, and decent ideas behind its gameplay. Yet after a certain point, the underlying logic appears to break down. On each of my several runs, I would bash together an army and destroy a few villages. For that portion of the game, it felt like everything was working as intended, and it was fun. After that, the whole thing seemed to break down. Specifically, the game seems to start glitching out when I attack the large village on the bottom screen, below the first castle. The description warned me about not getting feedback when I lost fights. I was not prepared for when I stopped getting feedback for winning fights. For when I lost the ability to move my troops around. For when the troop counters at the bottom of the screen stopped matching up with the actual numbers of troops I could locate in the field. If this game appeared to be in full working order, I would consider it a flawed masterpiece, with its mysterious combat mechanics and questionable use of time pressure (I think @dob hit that particular nail on the head). As it was, I'm afraid that a game-breaking bug has prevented me from getting the full intended experience.
