Pretty cool really smooth feel
This is the first game I've tried tonight, and I gotta say that was impressive and super fun!! :D Fantastic Music and Concept! Great work!
oh man I loved it! great job! honestly I don't have any negative feedback, I loved it.
Maybe you would like to check our game? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/super-hyperspace-rythm-plus-ultra
The music is good, and the art is nice. But I honestly think this game is way too hard for someone play it for the first few times. Mind to check our game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/daxua
@mainghia95 Thanks for the feedback ! We understand your point about game difficulty. We decided to put a quite high start speed, so the players get the juicy feeling straight. We wanted at first to have the ability to choose the game speed before launching the game. And we also think about keeping only simple shapes, to make the game more easy to handle :)
@HPMNK yeah, it feels very smooth with the movement but the difficulty freaks me out lol
@HPMNK also the platforms is too high to jump visually. I mean when I see it I don't think that I can jump that high
Really nice mix of gameplay!
Awesome gameplay! ... super fun but also hard. who knew that a game so close to tetris could become so much harder! Soundtrack works great for this game as well as the sound effects. Movement is fluid and intuitive and when you lose you really feel it was all your fault which is nice. Great job!
This is rad man. Tricky but fun! Not much to add, I honestly think you take this to publishing. Make sure to check out ours as well! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/raucous+raccard
This is an amazing combination! One thing though is that the up button should also make you jump. If you have the time be sure to check out my game too! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/a-knight-of-music
Really awesome game! The implementation of the theme is really great, very creative and innovative!
There are a lot of additional features, aside from the Tetris game, shooting, and platforming mechanics. Like: The coins, the three types of "power-ups" (can't think of a better word) inside some of the tetrominos.
It might have been fun to add collision with the tetrominos, so you could jump onto the tower you're building. It could be a slight problem, if the player cannot jump over the tower anymore to get to the other side, although they can always loop around to get there.
Overall, you guys made a really nice jam entry! :) I think with adjustments towards difficulty and playability this could become a very nice little, unique game!
@NoahRo Thanks for the feedback man : ) Your idea is really good, we discussed a bit about it at start, but we thought it could lead to numerous buggy situations (like rotating a block while on it)
This is really cool, shame I'm already terrible at Tetris as-is.
If you could check out [my game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/ludum-dare-41-placeholder-1) I'd appreciate it!
@HPMNK Ah I see, makes total sense! Thanks for the reply :)
This game is awesome! I love puzzle platformers like this. Definitely worth making a full version.
The difficulty curve is weird. I made it to about 500k score with no problem, but then I hit a speed malus, panicked, and instantly lost.
Best game I've played so far, 10/10.
Now that's an awesome mix. Quite difficult too, I assume with practice it would get a lot easier to rotate and move at the same time. Great game, not going to attempt that high score :P
One of the better games ive played. Lotta fun!
Really loving the idea, and the graphics and audio are pretty great too! The gameplay is also fantastic. Didn't think platformer and Tetris could gel so well like this.
One minor thing, but I found that you could pull the block towards you by facing away from the block and shooting. Was this intended? I found this made the game a lot easier, and kind of just made me stay on one side of the screen.
Also for some reason S didn't seem to let me fall down platforms. No idea why. Maybe it's just me.
Anyway great game overall. Great work!
An interesting take on an old classic! My only complaint is the speed malus power-down, which was needlessly frustrating in an already-difficult game.
Really interesting idea of combining Tetris and shooting, it's well polished! I had great fun playing it. The only problem I felt was the moving and jumping speed is too fast to control, I'd rather stay on one platform to shoot the blocks.
Controls took some getting used to, but I really liked the idea. I wish you could jump on the blocks! Anyway, great job!
What a interesting Idea, I loved the mechanics and the music. Mixing the abilities to control the character with tetris knowledge turns the game really challenging :D
Congrats !
I really liked the music in this one. Also good combination, spent some time playing. Style and background are also good, feels a bit postapocalyptic.
Nice new take on Tetris! At least, I've never seen it before. Graphics look nice, music is great, plays really well. I found myself wanting a double jump, but other than that, this thing's solid. Good job!
Thanks for the feedbacks! @Potondo It was indeed intented to prevent the player to be in tricky situations, and stuck in the "wrong" side of the screen. It still needs a tweaking to prevent players to stay in the same side for the whole game, which we tried to achieve by putting those coins, thus forcing the player to move all around the screen. @niterich This is something we have to work on still, we have a coupe ideas on how to improve it and add some new powerups also!
@Potondo Thanks for the feedback ! The ability to shoot while facing away is made on purpose for people who wants to go fast (You can also walk to exterior of the level bound and go to the other side like this) In a future build, speed will be rewarded with score :)
Really fun game, and good concept. The city in the background looks very good.
I found a bit annoying not controlling the direction when yoy shoot, atleast the controls are weird to me. However the game is good elaborate, good job!
Fun little game. I imagined a 2 player mode where you could mess up the other players by shooting into their zone lol. Great job!
@ctran13 Haha yeah would be amazing ! We thought about it but had no time to design it good. We'll definitely think about it for the final build, because we would love to have a Versus mode where you can push blocks into opponent screen.
It feels very polished and fun to play. It's very difficult to move fast along the platform to not mess it up (which ofcourse I did ) Very nice art, espacially the Controls GIF at the top of this page! Great work, also check out my version of Tetris!
The premise of this game is great! I'm not much of puzzle game enthusiast but I've always been able to appreciate Tetris still, combining it with a platform shooter and having to actually hit the tiles to move them in the direction you're facing and to rotate them is a very clever way to add a new element to an otherwise already perfect game.
I encountered a bug that happened after I placed a one tile line cleaner in a one tile space. The tiles that spawned were put in front of the player and I walked behind them. For some reason I was able to place I think a small L block (3 tiles) through it and then when the next brick landed it froze the game.
In windowed mode the text at the top doesn't refresh but gets displayed over the old score, leading to me being unable to read the score, in full screen this issue doesn't exist, so it's all good.
I've included screenshots so you can see the issues I have been encountering.

Other than that, awesome game guys! Very enjoyable! :D
@Densin Thanks a lot for this complete feedback ! We didn't encountered that bug during our playtest, so your comment is very usefull. About the score layout problem, it will be fixed in 1-2 days, it's just because of bad anchors on Unity : )
mixing your game with a platform shooter was really good i really like your game, keep it up feel free to check out our game and we hope you will like it, https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/incompatible-rally
Amazing game!
So hard and a good example of incompatible genres!
Good work!
Great combination. A simple input in traditional Tetris game becomes very challenging in this game.Cool!
Pretty interesting, gameplay is a little slow. Would be nice if I didn't have to be in the same line as the pieces
This really changed the way you play tetris, and I feel the theme integration was very strong. I found it challenging as not having direct control over the puzzle shapes makes tetris a lot harder - therefore it shows the themes were somewhat incompatible. I found the aiming difficult if the block wasnt directly in line with one of the platforms personally. Great visuals, audio suited and gave nice audio queues - although did get that x-files vibe from the song :D Good effort captain!
Good mix, you made it work!
Way cool. Not being able to move the blocks at any time really changes the way you play tetris. It added a lot of strategy to have to get into position to move the piece the way you want.
I always love games that provide a new twist on the classics. :)
I liked this entry a lot. I thought the idea was creative, and the execution was done very well. The music and art style really gave it this 80's retro vibe, which I think is what you were going for.
I don't particularly have any suggestions. At one point, pressing down caused the blocks to fall incredibly fast to the bottom, which was really bad for me! I'm not sure if that's a bug or an intended feature, but either way you may want to address it somehow.
Great work!!
@Joe Cowman Thanks for the feedback :D About the down button, it's intended, we didn't had time to add it on the tutorial, and we aim to add particles feedbacks on it. It's meant for player who want to go fast and not wait the blocks to go down. We'll also add score to it, to make it feel rewarding
@Swarlly Hehe thanks man : ) We'll soon add a frame which tell the next block to appear, to let the player make better choices on his game
@Honest-Dan Thanks for the Twitch stream, and for your feedback. Your game is also really good, and can be publish i think :)
Wow! I love the tetris / platformer combination, that was awesome! Nice work!
I found it a little tricky to shoot at different angles. It would have been nice to have the ability to jump on the falling tetrominos to make it easier in getting from one side to the next, especially as the level beings to rise!
Awesome job, great entry!
This was very fun and a great interpretation of the theme. Nice work!
This is one of the best tetris-like that I've seen this jam, the presentation and gameplay are great. I only got a little confused about the ground slam (jump + down) to make the pieces go faster.
Great game.
Kind of difficult at first but after spending some time playing it got really fun. Good use of the theme. Great job!
nice work, one of the best tetris variations i've seen so far.
I think this game is fantastic. The controls are very easy for me to pick up despite two different things going on. Had a great time playing it. check out @honest-dan he has a game I think you will also like.
One of the best uses of the theme, it becomes more difficult as the speed increases but still, very nice. It touches upon good graphics, music, and innovation
Nice job!
Really sick! A super cool idea.
Wanna try ours out?
Awesome theme idea. Tetris with the platform jumping game is really awesome. I definitely enjoyed it! :)
Enjoyed this gem!
 What I loved * I had tons of fun, balanced, fast, run & gun, platformer combined. I love it * Felt VERY polished * You nailed the jam theme * Artwork is on point!!
:thought_balloon: My Thoughts * Window mode is a bit glitchy with the text! * A co-op mode would be great!
A simple variation of Tetris a platform shooter can do wonders. Congratulations! I’d love for you to review my submission as well.
Definitely a great idea, shooting was surprisingly difficult though, it felt like I never could get the row I was aiming for. Still, loved playing it, great job!
Dang, I thought it would too hard to play, but my first score was 491900. As long as you keep stuff under control in the beginning, it's not too bad. When you start to mess up, it really snowballs, though. It makes me wish there was some way you could get a little more precision on the aiming, either by diagonal aiming or jumping on the tetris structure. Still, I definitely enjoyed it. The art was great. The music was a little repetitive, but wasn't annoying.
Screenshot (7).png
Very good game and innovation but so hard >_< I made 416400
Hey, nice game here =D Need a bit of time to get used to the controls, but enjoyed it. Made 568200 before hitting a speed-up bloc that made me lost in a few seconds ^^
@Julink @Colisan @Forest Thanks for your feedback guys, we're quite agree with you about the difficulty curve. That's why we'll release a build with some improvment on overall speed, and on malus, probably this week end . We also aim to create a Bomb powerup, to have to ability to clean the board more often during games
For the diagonal shoot, we are studying that possibility. We're not sure yet if it's good for our design or not. But we know that the main drawback of our game is the inability to reverse a game when too much blocks are there :)
great idea and charming execution guys! you nailed the theme imo :) loved the music!
This is an amazing idea, extremely fun and addicting. Great job! Hope I can make games good like you guy XD.
Good game Very challenging
Please let me know when the HTML5 goes up, I really want to try this!
Hey ! Really good combinaison the theme is highly respected, the game looks really good, good job !
What a cool idea, the concept was really fun and I enjoyed playing around with all the game mechanics. It really is quite difficult to have all these things in mind when playing the game. I really like the powerups that you have added so it is not plain tetris.
The controls took some getting used to, they could have been more intuitive. I liked that holding down the jump button for longer gave greater air time but it was quite hard to control in order to be aligned with the tetris blocks so that you can shoot. I think that by pressing spacebar once quickly you should get a bit more airtime because right now you fall down very quickly.
Another thing that I didn't understand was the diagonal shooting. I didn't understand when that happend and how to trigger it. I think that it would have been better to simply shoot straight at all times.
Overall very impressive game. Fun to play and with a bit of polish on the controls I really would like to see a post-jam version of this game.
Great combination of genres. A game is difficult but in the good meaning.
@Nannah THanks for your feedback ! We'll update the game soon with the ability for the player to choose his game speed. Score will also be affected by the speed : )
This is great! It feels really smooth to play and everything seems to be working perfectly. It's an excellent use of the theme.
I think the block spawn could be improved, since I started out by getting 3 s-blocks in a row. That's something that would probably take a lot more work though, and it's still fine as is.
Overall, great job!
This is a pretty neat premise. Combining Tetris with a platformer is certainly unique. I also like how shooting certain points on the blocks activate special effects, giving a greater purpose to shooting than just moving the blocks. I do wish that the hitbox for the laser was a bit bigger, as it can be hard to hit blocks in mid air. Also, I feel that the platforming itself is relatively underutilized and mostly just serves to make the process of playing Tetris a bit more difficult. Perhaps adding more elements in the platforming area aside from coins would help make the game more interesting. That being said, I enjoyed my time with this game. Nice work!
@superpokeunicorn Thanks for your feedback :) We're planning everything you said ! We plan to do an update with a better score rewarding, more feedbacks on powerups, bombs powerups, mode speed, and also make the ray a bit bigger ! We'd also love to add a grenade pick up to launch on block, to give more relief to platformer part :) We'll do just a few for the jam, mostly QoL improvements, and we'll do the rest post jam for the final Itch.io build :)
This is really fun but really hard for me. I really can't focus on both platforming, shooting (which needs good timing and sometimes jumping) and tetris although I truly appreciate the mix. While my complaint is personal and has to do with my skill level, I have nothing else to complain about, I love it. The visuals looks great too. Great job.
Wow a throwback to my 90's childhood I love tetris - my first game on the original gameboy. This was a great combination. Nice graphics, great mechanics and bags of fun. Great entry.
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/witchs-escape
Wow! One of the best games I've played on LD41 so far. Pretty good idea and nice final product. Not much too say. I scored 1,116,699! :) Maybe those coins could allow me to buy some bonuses like double points or slow down the time for a while. Anyway, great job!
Très bon jeu, bien réalisé, propre... BRAVO !
Great mix of genders! In fact we made something similar: platforms + Tetris, if you want to have a look!! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/unblock-the-exit
Nice! Loved it :)
An amazing game with mix of good graphics and audio. You did a great job combining Tetris and a platformer. Imo it's still a tetris nonetheless just with a different way of controlling the blocks but the idea itself is really cool and with some additions to the gameplay i'm sure you can make it into a full complex game. Great entry!
Very nice twist on Tetris, and plays very well! As a decently fast Tetris player this was a bit too slow for me though - I would have liked Expert mode to be without the random blocks showing up at the bottom, but starting out about twice as fast.
HIGH SCORE.png Super fun! It was tough juggling the platformer/shooter with the tetris, which is a tough game to begin with haha! The music was on point and the score system was a nice touch. Can't wait to see how I do on the leaderboards haha
@neontropics Oh ! interesting feedback ! You would prefer the expert mode to be more punishing, and have the Line Cleaner removed ? We thought it could be a bit too hardcore as the speed cap get quite high ^^
New HighScore to beat Sans titre.png
Cool concept well executed. More platforms would have been nice (but thats only because i can't time these jumps). Since i fixed my speakers today this will be my first game that gets an audio-rating xD
The main idea was just awesome and you think of all the little tweak who make it works ! Like the fact that you can change the direction you face to make the bloc go the other way ! Or the coin to collect o we don't get bored when we wait for the piece to fall (even if the stomp exist, it's more fun with the coin). A lot of good idea, a cool graphism (a little too rigid sometimes unfortunatly I think, but I love the back ground ! ) Overall : an excellent game !
This is excellent. Truly great entry. Fun to play addictive, great audio and visuals. High scores all round! It was also refreshing to play a tetris style game with different block shapes. Well done to all of you!
Awesome mix of different gameplay mechanics. Nice entry!
hard play but very funny, i get interesting experience ) Well done :D
The idea and execution is great. I love the graphics and the audio. The controls were difficultat first but later on I got the hang of it. Overall great job on this game!
Very very polished great audio, graphics animations pretty much everything. Idea was executed well but I think these two genres dont go together at all would rather just play tetris, I guess that fits the theme lol.
Very cool and the shooting feels so good as in the visual and audio feedback makes me feel like I am shooting a powerful gone. The movement is pretty fluid and applaud the ambition of giving so many different button combinations to accommodate as many play styles as possible. Though at first it looked overwhelming once I saw I could use my mouse to shoot/rotate and just move/jump with WASD it as good. The game is polished and well done. I wish the following was less vague but I myself am finding it hard to word it. Essentially, the platforming controls didn't feel responsive. I found myself often thinking I was performing an action only to see my avatar not doing anything. I think this may be due to getting a feeling of something like a twin-stick shooter or something where the gun follows the mouse only to be met with something more rigid where the avatar can only shoot in a straight line. I get it though. Having the gun simply follow the mouse would change the game significantly. Just trying to word the strange feeling I felt while playing. :)
Very polished and all around well made game! This game will place high!
@MegRabbit the HTML5 build is bugged, alas, it won't happen this time - have you had a chance to test the .exe :-)? @designernap I'm glad you noticed and like that variation :-D @Rebecca Kremer the leader boards may still be in the works - I'll bring it up during our upcoming Post-Mortem ;-) @ProdigalSon thanks for taking the time for the precise feedbacks :-D And yeah as you say it would change the game quite a bit - we'll see if we try'n work on a proper v.2.0 version and whats get to be part of it... who knows :-D @Richnou content que t'aies kifé :-D
Unfortunately, I didn't have a mouse at the moment of playing and touchpad click was registered about 50% of the time, the game was basically unplayable for me. Cool idea tho.
Really fun game! Controls felt a bit funky, but the gameplay was excellent!
Nice game, but some of the tetris pieces from your game don't actually exist.
Nice mash-up. Love the idea of the multi-blocks, especially that it's not a standard tetrimino set. Having the coins around to collect is a brilliant way to keep the player entertained while the pieces are falling and keep them always looking in two places at the same time. 👍
