We're first time game jammers, so pretty fresh to the scene. That said I can't add to what's been said. It might have been fun to go the way of Harmoknight, where the rhythm section advances you forward. That way the success of the rhythm game would determien your racing standard. Having an opponent would have gone a long way as well with finite races. Keep up the good work! Make sure to give ours a quick look as well.
This really was good. Excellent jam submission. My only critique was not knowing when I was dying - I had no idea why I died or when I would die. Music is awesome, visuals are cool! I love it. Super addicting after a few rounds. Frustrating up front but given its a game jam I can't imagine a full tutorial, after you figure out the cards though it gets wicked exiting. It's a challenge to win and it makes it very, very fun!
