Daaaamnn! This is fantastic. Easily my favorite entry thus far. Felt like a full released title. Took a few rounds of failing to get a feel for the play-style, but after that, loved every second of strategizing my moves. My highest praises for whoever wrote the music as well, it was everything 8-bit music should be. 5/5
Edit: My favorite game over message was definitely "ALT+F4 increases your score"
I liked your art style a lot. It really felt like an old arcade game. Your time mechanic is neat too.

Great use of the theme! Visuals are really nice and its pretty easy to get into. For some reason switching to fullscreen kinda slows the game down for me. Anyway, congrats for an excellent entry!
First 5.0 game I've played -- very well done.
A message from a dev:if you find the secret easter egg, we didn't make those memes and the gif belongs to the crew working on, "knuckle sandwich"... check it out if you've got time.
you know... i figured this would be easy..... but it isn't lol rather than skillfully dodging, you kind of have to predict where those shots are goig, how far will they travel etc :) and most of the time i just clicked without paying attention and got blind sided by something i really shoud have seen! lol the only thing i would add, is perhaps a timer, force the player to make their plans within 7 seconds or something like that, would add some tension into it too :P great work though really nice!!! :) and really stuck with the theme well :)

I love the mechanics, concept, and theme of the game. It really takes some thinking and figuring to make the most of a "turn", and that allows some excellent depth. If I were to change anything, it would be that no enemy can spawn on top of the player when they end their turn near the edges of the screen. Overall an impressive work.
Bullet hell is hard enough, bullet hell **WITH** turn-based? I didn't know it'll be A LOT harder lol! The art aesthetics is beautifully done, the music & sounds are very well made as well, it definitely pulled me in. This itself already look like a completely polished game, amazing job guys! You guys should be very proud!
Really slick game, but I feel that the lack of telegraphing enemy attacks makes survival pretty much chance based. If the enemy ship fire patterns / directions were better communicated, you could add a lot more bullets.

This was super fun! Quite polished as well. I found a bug though ^^ you can kill the enemies by positioning next to them and then shoot

Incredible game ! You really invented something here, and the theme is really well respected. It can go to publish with few tweaks (like locking the mouse cursor on screen). It would definitely need a better understanding of the bullet trajectory per turn. It's quite hard to know where the bullet are gonna stop
You got my 4.5/5

I think it was fun and with good graphics and all, but you had no idea where the enemy bullets would come from, so it was really hard, and kind of ruined it a bit.
Nevertheless great graphics and audio!

Well done! Very good job! Graphics and sound fit well. For jam it is perfect. It seems to me that you could do something serious out of it. And in this case new hazards and game mechanics would be needed
Awesome! Nice combination, graphics is really classic looking, well done!

This concept is great. At first you think "wow, bullet hell should be easy while turn based", but then you discover that this is actually a puzzle in some way. I liked how you can take your time to line up a shot and have to predict where you should be to not get hit AND to make sure you have some safe space on the next turn. Also, art and music are amazing, I love the upbeat tune and art is nicely done and consistent. Really liked it. Do you have some page with music? I would love to listen to it separately.
I really liked that! The music, the graphics and the gameplay are all combining and very well made!
You guys did a great job

Thanks so much for the comments everyone, later today we'll try to play all your games :D
The pixel art is beautiful. The mechanic is very fun, but would benefit greatly from power ups and/or other weapons. Good game otherwise.
Great job.

The quality of the art and music both give this title a fantastic retro feel without losing readability. As for the gameplay, the execution of the two genre smashup was wonderful. It turned games I loved when I was younger into an unexpected puzzle with a focus on movement and situational awareness.
This is pretty good, well done! I really like the little comments you had upon death, it made me giggle ^^# - the different ennemy types you had in there is impressive consindering how little time you had to make this game. Also all in all it makes me feel I'm that marvel super hero that can stop time... pretty cool ^^# - good job thanks for sharing dude nice one :-D

This is really good! I've played a couple other turn-based shooters like this but none of them have felt as good. Great music and graphics too.
I don't know if this is intentional, but my strategy was to get as close to the enemies as possible so that my spawned shot would destroy them before their turn.
We noticed that in development, but thought it made a cool feature so we kept it
Great concept and very good genre combination. The visual presentation is great. Gameplay is unique and hard to master. Great game, keep up the good work!
If you have still some time, I would love it if you could test our game. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/astropover
This entry was really good!!! Awesome graphics and great sound. I had some problem coming up with good tactics to stay in the game though, because I had a really hard time reading how the bullets would travel. Longer trails and a bit more obvious would make me play this game far too much...!! Awesome job!

This looks incredibly proffesional. Great work! I could totally see this game selling on steam with more content.
