LD21 — Escape

Captive by NateNaterson 2011-08-30T21:37:00

I liked it very much, although the moving platforms were a bit frustrating to get on some times. Good work!

Effugere -- an escape game by dev_zero 2011-08-23T20:35:00

Ah, I'm a fan of Metal Gear Solid so I really liked the idea. I was also positively surprised by the voice instructions, however it wasn't really challenging enough :)

Cut Here by timgarbos 2011-08-23T21:45:00

Stunning visuals!!! But did I get it wrong, or have you not created the music yourself?

Grappling-Hook Jones by Robbert 2011-09-12T19:19:00

I had some problems with that grappling hook (could almost never fire it), and sitting with my laptops touchpad wasn't of great help. But what I like most of all about the game is the graphics =D Its really really ugly... but actually its so bad that it becomes good! ...or maybe its just me(?) but thanks to the graphics I played the game with a huge, warm smile! I love it =D (sorry for being weird)

Spaceship Crash by Wirtualnosc 2011-08-23T21:38:00

First try was on normal, which was just insane (developer difficulty ;). Some variation would have made the game a lot more interesting.

Escape Artist by johnfn 2011-08-23T21:26:00

Awesome game. And a lot of levels/screens as well. Fun, well balanced and a really nice concept!

Snake Plissken: Surfin' U.S.A. by vandriver 2011-08-23T21:57:00

Surf's up mister! =D
Fun game, and pretty good game mechanics

Prison Break by hamster_mk_4 2011-09-12T20:04:00

That was awesome, but very hard on mousepad. Great animations and ragdoll =D

Escape Velocity by Jedi 2011-09-12T19:44:00

Being a starship pilot has to be very difficult... =( But it was a good concept (and I really liked the little explanation in the top-left corner ;). And you can probably make this into a really fun game (just trying one of your post-compo versions prove this)! Well done!

Left Again by AaronYip 2011-08-30T21:22:00

A ha ha ha ha!!! What a lovely game. Really impressed with what you managed to create in 48 hrs. Feels well balanced and lots of humor! "Winter is coming" X-D

Fierce Undead by GameNacho 2011-09-12T19:30:00

Hey, how come the zombies can turn 360, but I can only move in 4 directions? Are the zombies more agile than me? ;) I would have preferred to be able to move in at least 8 directions.
Interesting concepth though. I like the idea!

Gather 10 keys to escape by madflame991 2011-09-12T19:58:00

I really love these kind of screwed games, and I laughed several times! Although the game needs some more balancing as the same screens kept coming back way too often. Only managed to get one key though, and some times I accidently clicked past a screen without having the chance to read it... A very good entry though! If you make more games like these I would like to check them out =D

Catch and Leave by Ilyass 2011-09-12T19:11:00

The basics for this game is very good. If you keep working on it you'll have a really great game, I'm sure! Well done!

Hell Fortress Escape by hulahulahest 2011-09-12T19:06:00

Wow, this game really reminded me of some of the best platformers on my old c64 - the graphics, the controls... and the difficulty! Well done!!!

Mouse Trap by N0_Named_Guy 2011-08-23T20:43:00

I really liked the atmosphere in this game =)

Need For Code : Escape by K1NET1K 2011-08-23T20:23:00

Hi, I think you're up to a good start, especially if you've never made a game before :). The controls of the car needs to be tweaked. Feels like origo is to far down(?), and the turning is too fast. I hope you keep making games, and you might have the start for an engine you can use in the next LD =).

Three Doors by A Drum Duel 2011-08-23T21:08:00

I hope this didn't take you 48 hours to create ;)

Abscond by Hanoran 2011-08-23T21:05:00

This game was really fun to play. I'm really impressed with how well you managed to balance in that short time!!!

Free Bee by seism 2011-08-23T21:11:00

I couldn't make it through the first level... =/

LD25 — You are the Villain

Nosferatu by jerombd 2012-12-30T12:07:00

Awesome =D

Terra Day Massacre by sparkymc 2012-12-27T07:53:00

The graphics was really excellent, but the feeling when jumping was a little weird. Some weird glitch happened on the screen in the picture above where I couldn't get below that crane (robot kept walking forward in the air).

Revenge of Dr. Green by boena 2012-12-18T22:06:00

The enemies are really scary, and I really liked the part where you had to jump up into space (or nighttime bg). The cloaking was a nice feature but didn't add a lot. Maybe if you had an enemy so big that you couldn't jump over it... anyway, great work! =D

Goat Factory by nilstastic 2012-12-18T21:32:00

Hey, that was really fun. Good difficulty steepness on the levels. Found a tiny glitch where you can drag and drop the water tiles - but its not a game breaker. Nice soundtrack as well!

Miniman vs Dr. Malificius by master4523 2012-12-18T21:50:00

I really liked this game, and the AI worked out very good indeed. I especially liked how the worthless you felt as the boss when the hero constantly killed off all your precious minions X-D

Dungeon Mastermind by 7Soul 2012-12-18T21:39:00

The graphics and music are really great, and the game fits well within the theme. However I didn't understand how I could figure out how much damage the hero got in each area.

Feel To Be Me! Alien of Sace Invader by Drabiter 2012-12-27T08:21:00

I thought it would be hard to make a game around that mechanic, but you did a great job. As someone mentioned before I had some trouble with the speed up/down controls, and had to wait until I reached the bottom before proceeding, but the general game is well executed and great potential with further polish! =D

LD27 — 10 Seconds

The Ten Ten Seconders by Subi 2013-08-27T13:52:00

Fun game. Good concept - but hard as hell. Sometimes the mouse - or a key - got stuck if pressing everything at once (that's how I do it when I panick ;).

10 Seconds by phi 2013-09-01T11:03:00

Nice little game. Played the game a couple of times thinking that the goal was to outlive each level. When I managed to stay alive for almost a minute in one of the easier levels I had to consult the help section, where I finally understood that you needed to die as close to the 10-second mark as possible.

Some levels are very difficult to survive even a few seconds and some levels are really easy to survive for a very long time.

And the final score could have been presented in a way that you more easily could relate to. Right now it's only a number (7,392141). Difficult to relate to.

So in short: I liked it, but should communicate the rules and score a bit better.

To Hell With Love by sunnysmiles 2013-08-28T21:42:00

Great take on the theme! I actually like these huge worlds, and I enjoy this simple kind of graphics. Just one thing I'm wondering... if killing a person gives you 10 seconds in hell... what the hell did my lover do to get stuck down there?!? :-O

Speedster by disease 2013-09-01T11:27:00

Missed the controls the first time because of the 10-seconds limit to read the help screen, which made me think that the dash-level (3 or 4) was some kind of killscreen. Only reading the comments here made me realize I might have missed something and tried again.
It is a good game for the 48hrs compo, but I find the controls very frustrating. Having to wait for the character to fully land (and then a few frames) before being able to jump again killed me a number of times. I also found it difficult to execute the dash. Good work anyway! =)

Shelter by Tommislav 2013-08-28T21:15:00

Thanks a lot for your feedback (all of you).
I have to say that I'm very pleased with how the game turned out. Although the control of the blobs did suffer a lot from the deadline.
Also, my poor level design skills does not do the game justice. For example, the mechanic where you can sacrifice some of your blobs to prevent the fire from spreading could be taken a lot further (except for one level it's hardly even noticable right now). Instead it's a bit too much of the stress/scroll/drag - which is even worse with the controls not being perfect...
But I will very likely continue exploring with the mechanics of this game =)

i eats lazers! by 01101101 2013-08-27T13:45:00

Managed to complete one level... at 9:69! :-O. Great job, and nice take with the generated levels

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Panspermia by Martin Vilcans 2014-08-26T20:50:00

I like your take on the theme a lot. Both creepy and hillarious at the same time =D. And the sounds and music adds a lot to the mood.

Planetary Replan by handCraftedRadio 2014-09-09T15:36:00

Had a lot of fun playing this with a co-worker. Well done!

The Two-Dimensional Universe by Zathnic 2014-08-28T20:02:00

Very nice game. You managed to capture the excitement of exploration in a very good way!

Heart Star by AdventureIslands 2014-08-28T20:40:00

Awesome work for 48 hours. Very high polish and cute graphics!

The Last Elemental by jerombd 2014-09-11T10:46:00

That's some awesome looking retro graphics =D

Disconnecting Worlds by Macocco 2014-08-28T19:38:00

A wonderful and terrible game at the same time. I think it was wonderful. A little to hard (but I really wanted to get to the end). The biggest complaint I have is that the text way to small. Some music would have increased the mood even more. Great work!

Connected Words by Mathias Olsson 2014-08-26T10:29:00

Yay, edutainment! One thing is clear: I suck at regex. Another thing that's clear is that when I start reading up on it more proper I will definetly come back to this game to exercise! I'm also a big fan of using your own recorded samplings =D

Abandoned by JPatrick 2014-08-27T21:28:00

I like the basic idea, although the combat system would need a lot more polish.

Rift Knight by SecondDimension 2014-09-11T07:57:00

The graphics are a bit simple (makes if feel retro... in a good way), but the mechanics and controls are excellent! You managed to mix fast paced 2d-action with interesting gameplay in a very good way. Awesome work!

Bipolar World by havana24 2014-08-26T21:09:00

It's not that common with games that really has something to say. The story really sucked me in, and even though I'm dead tired and just want to go to bed (slept 2 hrs last night trying to finalize my entry) I just couldn't stop playing this until I got through to the end. This was excellent! Not often you get a chance to see the picture from a bipolar per sons perspective, but I think you illustrated it very well.

Spejsbryggan by lightsoda 2014-08-26T10:24:00

I like the clean and abstract graphics a lot. Took a few plays before understanding how it works (right click to move was tricky to figure out, I guess I didn't read the help text well enough). Hardest thing is that those cubes can choose to stay on the planet and not use the bridge.

Moonstone by NightShadow0 2014-08-27T21:40:00

Good idea, but the controls and collision detection would have needed some extra attention. The platforms for the other astronauts often dissapeared when I only touched them from the side, making it a bit frustrating.

Data-Man by Hyoga-3D 2014-08-27T21:46:00

The controls were really good. Fun game, but a bit hard as you don't really have time to react to the enemies. Good thing with the slowdown, but I think it should have slowed down even more.
Great work!

Catalyst by Glaydur 2014-09-05T13:25:00

I like the concept! Good entry. Give it a shot making a few more levels for it.

Terrorist Hunter 2D by nilstastic 2014-08-26T10:32:00

When other people struggle to make games in 48 hours (or in my case 72), you manage to make one in 8. Thats worth some respect =D.
And I really like the sweet/abstract nature of this game that still handles a serious subject.

Die in another world by Posva 2014-09-05T13:29:00

A very polished entry. Well done!

Seasons in the Sky by Vytheros 2014-08-26T10:03:00

Graphics is quite nice, but you should have a "run" button to be able to move a little faster =)

Capsule by PaperBlurt 2014-08-26T16:32:00

Love it (as usual). Great mood. I also like the retro font of this futuristic console, and the cameo of Rocky Barbato =D. The graphics were excellent as well and enhanced the mood!

Souzou Cliff by PixlWalkr 2014-08-28T15:15:00

Amazing pixelart! Liked the game design as well (although it was quite a long introduction). Challenging and fun. Seen this mechanic in a few other games, but this is my favorite so far!

Sinister by Joe Williamson 2014-09-11T08:26:00

The graphics are amazing!

Chipset-0 by deepnight 2014-08-28T15:30:00

I look at your game. And then I look at my game (which took 72hrs btw). Then I cry a bit.
It is out of this world how you managed to put all of this together.
Extremely well done! 5/5 in all categories!

Yume by Nananas 2014-09-11T15:23:00

Cute story and beautiful graphics. Reminds me of Bastion with the assembling/disassembling world. A bit too short, but good work in 48 hrs.

Abyss by Damian Elkins 2014-08-28T15:38:00

Quite a weird game. I really liked the audio for setting the mood, but it wasn't consistent with the graphical style (at least imho).
Are there more levels than one? I found some kind of terminal but did not understand how to interact with it, if it's even possible.

Close Your Eyes by nonetheless 2014-09-11T08:05:00

A very clever and interesting take on the theme. And well executed. Awesome work!

The Beginning by Nuclear Napalm 2014-08-26T20:40:00

I thought that I bounced off that white circle (the light). Very hard without any other preferences. When the "easy" version told me to follow the light I did not understand what the light was. Finally gave up and watched the video.
You set a really good mood, and agree with the commenter that this simplistic graphical style gives some Thomas Was Alone-vibes (which is good)

Earth, Hell and Space by kikito 2014-08-28T15:20:00

Very good puzzels with clever variations!

Press space to start by thecolorhacker 2014-08-27T06:14:00

Clevel puzzles! Found myself enjoying the game a lot. However I cannot stop seeing the guy as the windows logo, and thus - in my head - the story became about Microsoft =D

Waterfly Octus by gillenew 2014-09-11T10:44:00

The graphics looks great, but that sound-loop starts to get to you quite fast... Also the controls are a bit hard. But a very good entry for 48 hours! Well done!

Parallel Worlds by Cliff Lee CL 2014-08-26T10:15:00

Well made game, and clever level design.
However the collision detection could need a bit of tweaking. I died about 20 times on second level because of the hitdetection. Otherwise, great work!

A Darker World by Maxr00 2014-08-26T20:01:00

Graphics looks good, but the physics needs some tweaking. I jumped far up in the sky (by holding down the jump button) and it took a long time to come back down again.

Soul Shepherds: Passing Ghasts by A-Flat Miner Studios 2014-08-27T06:03:00

A very hard game for me. Guess I'm not that good at multitasking =). Excellent graphics.

Alice Anxiety by jukimv1986 2014-08-28T19:53:00

Took me a while before I realized that you could walk while sleeping/dreaming (but I got it eventually). Great atmosphere!

Trappy Tomb by jimmypaulin 2014-09-09T20:43:00

That is nothing short of amazing! If you would have told me your plans before the compo started I would have called you crazy to even try. Awesome work!!! 5/5

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

The Path of Least Resentment by Martin Vilcans 2015-04-20T21:15:00

I love your unconventional game ideas! And the voice over really cracks me up. I haven't been able to win the game yet, but I spent a lot of time with it. Simple but still fun.

S-LAYER by Ryusui 2015-04-21T21:12:00

I liked this game a lot, although it was very very difficult! I also had to read the instructions on this page several times before I managed to dominate my first enemy. Instruction in game would have helped a lot. Still, well done!

An Unconventional Weapon by Mathias Olsson 2015-04-20T21:23:00

I couldn't play the game embedded on this page (if I try to speed up the web page just scrolls away), but the link works fine.

I love the way you managed to capture the feeling of the wind blowing in your hair... only the coughing, the fumes and the bumpy road makes it a bit less glamorous. A bit. =D

Rocket Rabbit by jcmoyer 2015-04-22T20:28:00

Very very difficult! Truly a bullet "hell". Still very well executed! The only thing I found myself missing was a little bit more feedback, like explosions/particles or a simple screen shake when enemies die. Very well done in this short amount of time!

Caffeine Rush by Tommislav 2015-04-20T10:08:00

Ouch, there seems to be a bug with the raycasting... That's not good, if your'e unlucky you will break the game by doing that. Will investigate tonight. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Caffeine Rush by Tommislav 2015-04-20T13:57:00

PaperBlurt: thank you so much.
I made all the graphics, but since I cannot do 3d modelling I had to stick to cubes in Unity. Turned out better than I thought =)

Caffeine Rush by Tommislav 2015-04-20T21:10:00

Thanks a lot!
You can pour coffee with the mouse button, or - preferrably - using left Control. It's the default control scheme for Unity.

Caffeine Rush by Tommislav 2015-04-20T21:11:00

By the way. I have updated the builds and removed the infinite double jumps. No other changes were made than fixing that bug.

Caffeine Rush by Tommislav 2015-04-22T05:03:00

@dos Ouch, thanks for pointing that out! Fixed the link to the linux build.

TUNDRA by PaperBlurt 2015-05-07T13:53:00

I finally managed to solve the final puzzle! Fantastic entry! I also like what you did with the rooms and the map. Great work! 5/5

You Can Shave the Baby by chikun Dev Team 2015-04-25T13:20:00

Great game! I'm very impressed over the amount of content you managed to squeeze in! I made it to level 42, where it started to get a bit repetative. Some games were a lot easier (feeding the eggs) than others (make me beautiful). Wonderful humour! Loved it!

Ultimate Booter by Druid 2015-05-07T09:06:00

Great graphics and awesome entry! Only thing that really bothered me was that interact and jump was on the same button =D

A Knife Made Of Whispers by managore 2015-04-21T15:13:00

The graphics look amazing.
I struggled a bit with the keyboard controls, constantly mixing them up. I guess it works much better with controller if you have one. Or maybe it's just me. Anyway, great entry!

Cake Wars! by dreadzilla 2015-05-08T06:54:00

That pear becomes incredibly owerpowered once you manage to stack up a few power-ups. All you have to do is stay at the bottom of the screen and keep the space bar pressed. I think it could have been interesting if each fired melon caused you some kind of penalty... making it both good and bad to fire such huge blasts.
Anyway, well done. Hope to see you in future LDs! =D

Bell of Souls by akirassasin 2015-04-21T21:00:00

Hard to get any sense of progression through that tiny peek-hole.

Conquer and Consume by Nilq 2015-05-08T07:02:00

What I like about the game is the graphics and the solid controls. The game idea is also good, but the mechanics could have been polished a bit more. Right now you're just getting surrounded by gingerbread men until you die, or get tired.
So from a technical perspective this is an outstanding effort! But I think you could have focused a bit less tech a bit and used more time iterating on the actual gameplay.
Still an impressive entry, and I hope to see you guys again! With more awesome games! I whish you all the best!

Toaster Defense by ETHproductions 2015-04-21T21:23:00

Liked the details you put in the game, like catching fire if charging for too long.
But I managed to find an angle where the toast could just sweep along the ground which meant that the gameplay would consist of nothing more than pressing the mousebutton as often as I could. Would have loved some more challenges, like stuff blocking the way forcing you to aim higher, and reward for precision.

LiceCity by Blister 2015-04-20T21:52:00

I can imagine this game being very fun with more than one players. Very good looking game, and good Controls.

NOPAEW by Anikki 2015-05-07T21:21:00

The graphics and atmosphere was great! I really liked the open level with lots of branching, only I never really knew if I was going in the right direction... Excellent work for 48 hours.

Bloomp Purple by murilo 2015-04-21T20:54:00

A very good entry. Liked the humour a lot with the different guns =D

I Saw Her and She Ran Away by Tommyno222 2015-04-22T20:41:00

It feels very close to This War Of Mine (which I only played for about 30 mins), but it is still very well executed, and the graphics is excellent! Very moody, and with an interesting storyline!
However, level design-wise I wouldn't place those difficult jumps so early in the game. I nearly quit because I didn't manage to do the second big jump (where you have to press "up" an extra time to grab the ledge). Overall a 4/5! Impressive!

Dino & Satyr on a log by snarf 2015-05-07T09:10:00

As you stated it's not a completed game, but you're of to a good start! I hope you participate in more LD:s =)

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Full Metal Democracy by deepnight 2015-12-14T21:53:00

OMG

Unintended Acceleration by Martin Vilcans 2015-12-14T22:35:00

In my oppinion you nailed the physics really well! I'm actually enjoying cruising around the landscape looking for traffic cones and doing crazy stunts.

Regarding gameplay I think I would have preferred several smaller tracks/levels instead of one huge open world. It's easy to get lost, and I never managed to collect all the cones. Not even close.

And the audio is top notch! I can imagine you standing behind me with an electrical guitar while I'm cruising for cones ;D

99 Steps by George 2015-12-14T21:47:00

Simple but very polished. Had me going until I managed to get to the top. Excellent game!

trosor by Ditto 2015-12-14T21:40:00

The graphics looks beautiful and very trippy! Your art style really gets me!

Gameplay wise I think I would have preferred jumping left/right instead of shooting and turning at walls as it became a bit repetative jumping back and forth when you missed some of the trickier jumps.

But overall a very high quality game indeed. Well done!

Disassemble by Tommislav 2015-12-14T22:19:00

@Gyfis: The game freezes for me as well. But only once, and sometimes for up to 10 seconds. If you wait it out it will run as intended. The problem does not exist in web player.
I'm looking looking into it, but until I find the solution it is playable but annoying.

Ortogonalis by pjimmy 2015-12-27T16:33:00

Nice.
I only ever used one button, so you had one to spare =)

Plank by Sir Magic 2015-12-27T16:52:00

I liked it. It wasn't very hard, but a nice entry. Good background music.

Stardust by Charzendat 2015-12-27T16:37:00

I managed to make a star on my first try, but it was very difficult to position the particles inside the centre circle. Would have been great to get some kind of feedback when you are doing something correct.

All Ways Down by noddingTortoise 2015-12-27T16:57:00

I think this game would be really fun to play on a mobile, where you have to actually rotate the device!
Good entry, nice puzzles.

GMO Overgrowth by Gyfis 2015-12-27T16:21:00

Nicely done. I had some problems with the fact that I had to aim and walk in the same direction, usually towards an enemy that was shooting at me. But a solid entry. The mini-map helped a lot.

Pig Game by knason 2015-12-14T11:34:00

A very difficult game! A visual indicator of some sort might have helped a little. However the sound effects when you finally hit a pig is so satisfying that you feel that it was worth it =)

Also, on rare occations the pigs will fly to the sky, but I reccon this is a feature (if not then it should)

FloppySnake by zguerrero 2015-12-27T16:46:00

Very impressive graphical effects! I like it a lot.
It would have been nice with some kind of end game condition.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Mad Mans Vengeance by Tommislav 2019-10-08T09:26:39Z

@mikeliosus Oh, snap. I think it should be fixed now. Sorry. Please let me know if you try it again. And thanks for bringing it to my attention! /T

Mad Mans Vengeance by Tommislav 2019-10-16T19:51:45Z

@tolmera @milestone-games I'll see if I can build this for mac. I already have it working on Linux (setting that up was even easier than setting up the windows environment). All I'm lacking is a mac... and time... I might be able to lend a macbook at work though. I'll let you know!

Stealth.Run() by ping78 2019-10-16T20:04:40Z

LoL! Just when I thought the game was about emulating a terminal I suddenly managed to start the game... a full FPS. I was so shocked! As someone mentioned it was too hard. And I think my mouse might have messed up somehow making the gun scroll away into fists. As if it wasn't hard enough as it was X-D. Anyway, I'm impressed with how much you managed to accomplish! Well done!

Alcindor the Alchemist by cogcomp 2019-10-09T18:14:01Z

What is this OpenAL installer? I'm a little jumpy installing dll's to be able to play game jam entries unfortunately. The video looks kind of cool.

Legally Dead by vilcans 2019-10-09T18:08:50Z

I agree that the controls are very tight! And the music is super moody! I think a bug prevented me from reaching the end... or I just didn't find the exit. I really want to know what happened =D

Sugarship by Firebender 2019-10-09T18:21:15Z

The game was good, but I'm it could have helped with a little more hand holding. I think I managed to figure out the game after a while, but I still don't understand why I suddenly got game over. I guess because I had taken all available perks =) Some sound effects would helped a lot as well

BBBLZ TRBBLZ by smiley 2019-10-09T17:56:57Z

So, let me start with saying that this game was awesome! Great graphics and ...I LOVE THE STORY! First I thought it was fabolus that you just "ok, lets kill some punks so I can get what I want" ...but at the end of the game I was like "HEY! YOU STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MY BBBLZ YOU FR**** PUNK!!!#ยค". Well done and executed in such a short time!!

Shi no ganbo by Simon Rahnasto 2019-10-16T19:49:28Z

This was a beautifully executed game, and I'm super impressed you managed to make such a huge experience in such a short time! The quality of this game exceeds most entries I've seen! I managed to complete the game in my first round with just 2 HP. Here are a few small nitty picky things, if I am to say anything other than just how amazingly good it was! All of these are really minor things! =D

1. When I met the first boss I just jumped right by and left. But feeling like I might miss anything I then spent a ton of time trying to get back to it (with the fire mist bomb ring), only to find I actually did not get anything.

2. The story did not manage to get me as engaged as I would have hoped. I mean, the fact that you even had a story, and the fantastic voice acting is mind blowing, but the actual story itself felt a bit... bleak.

I think that is all I can think of. Awesome job!!!

Spikt by Paulo Brunassi 2019-10-16T20:15:01Z

First playthought I could not get past a single obstacle. Only by reading the comments I went left again and realized that I had missed that elevator (it takes a lot of time for it to come back). I downloaded it again and did a second run, but the maze is huge and I lost track. I never got to my second upgrade. The mood and graphics are really nice, but would have suited me better with a bit more compact world. A really solid entry anyway, good job!

He knew it was good by Demuss 2019-10-16T19:25:00Z

Took a little while to figure out, then it was pretty straight forward. I did not tend my world very well though, and once I got to the portal most of it was on fire... I guess I'm not quite that good as a god just yet X-D. Very interesting mechanics and solid execution. The sounds helped getting a very relaxing and cozy feeling (despite the world was on fire) and I liked it a lot.

Just Bill by gamedevbynight 2018-04-29T19:52:09Z

Hahaha! Brilliant game! Usually not a big fan of puzzle games, but this one really got me =D

Dememtory by Tommislav 2018-04-29T20:17:08Z

@arturasd Whoa! Thanks man, that was perhaps the nicest feedback I've gotten in a really really long time =D

Dememtory by Tommislav 2018-05-06T20:54:05Z

@Houruck @Random Thoughts, sorry for letting your down. That screen shake effect was really cool, and I spent too much time during the compo to make it work. But in the end I couldn't find any valid use for it. But I guess the biggest issue was the lack of time. I'm really hoping I can put it to use in another project soon =) And thanks for playing!!

Rhythm Rogue by vilcans 2018-04-23T19:58:31Z

By the time I came to level 9 (and starved to death) I was a real pro at keeping the beat! I had a great time playing this! Add in more variation, and I think I would play this a lot!

Realm of Platformers by Lukesta 2018-05-04T21:41:22Z

Well done pulling off a MMO, that is quite an undertaking! Unfortunately I was alone playing it. I managed to get through the warehouse, but the platforming in the forest was too hard, and I just kept falling down.

Very well done anyway!

Nightclub Showdown by deepnight 2018-04-29T20:03:52Z

Have played several real time turn based games this LD, but this one really nailed it! The game is really fun to play! Well done!

What did you say Captain? by Marcenat 2018-04-26T19:57:13Z

Well done! Especially with the hints from the crew! Very rewarding to just try to type "laser" and realizing it was a valid command X-D

Dungeon of High School romance by Toulou 2018-04-23T18:53:14Z

I instantly fell for your screenshot! I'm a sucker for ascii art (and I also made a text based game). I managed to complete the game (kiss kiss kiss ;-D), but for a while it felt super hard - before I got to a cluster of pickups. Anyway, a good and solid entry with awesome ascii art! =D

Idle Shooter by NicMagnier 2018-04-29T20:15:55Z

Really satisfying to get those updates! Oh all those diamonds! And that rain of bullets! Really fun game!

Bullet Rogue by squirrelsoft 2018-05-04T21:31:46Z

I liked this game a lot! A lot of strategy where every move counts! It was a little hard to grasp how the enemies and bullets were moving. The bullet trails did not show until they had travelled one step. A little confusing with the moving tanks/cannons in the first area. And did not quite grasp the red areas around the turrets as they were about to fire...

I hope you continue working on this game. If you could just add animations/transitions on the enemies between their turns I think all of my issues above will be solved!

Really solid work! Well done!!

Bullet Rogue by squirrelsoft 2018-05-14T20:08:06Z

@kack3y Glad I inspired you! I did not see your mention until now (that's life with kids). Would like to try the new version, but your 2week link at itch.io does not seem to work

Harvest Ninja by gamesient 2018-04-24T19:56:13Z

Well done! I love the setting and the mood of the game. Very dystopian! And the take on the theme is very interesting as well. The biggest issue for me is that gameplay-wise it becomes a bit of a waiting-game. More testing your patience than your game-skills. A few more enemy types or challenges would have added a lot!

Another thing (this is a very small issue though) is about the ninja: he (or she?) should be able to move around more freely than just to the tiles up/down/left/right. It's a ninja after all!!! Same thing goes for carrying a bucket of water and a melon at the same time ;-)

It was great seeing you at the real world gathering. Too bad I was a little to stressed out with my own entry to socialize properly.

Perfect Run? by Peter Jonsson 2018-05-07T21:38:53Z

I agree with what has been said already. The base idea is interesting and I think it shows that it could be a very good mechanic. But it needs a bit more polish. It is too slow to move now. I could not press left while in the air, and you should add a key to let a turn pass without moving (for waiting at the deadly platforms). Great work for a weekend! You should definitely give it some more work!

Think Before Escape by acoto87 2018-04-26T20:10:47Z

The best use of the theme of all games I've played so far! Level design-wise a lot of screens turn into a waiting game, especially when you get longer time periods, because the enemies tend to stop at the one spot where I cannot continue a lot of the time. But that's a simple tweak issue. The game itself, and the execution is really good!

Sheet Music Editor Shoot'Em Up by hypp 2018-04-23T19:32:52Z

Wow, very polished! And all the enemy waves! It's a bit hard (or maybe I'm just not good enough), but other that that an amazing, well looking and well sounding experience!

INSiTU by tulipekoni 2018-05-04T13:07:29Z

Whoa. Awesome mechanics and puzzles! Great work!!

Pong Quest by Troll Tamer Games 2018-04-24T20:08:16Z

Looked nice with the particle effects and the trail. Nice twist with the ability to rotate the paddle. However the AI of the opponents leave a lot to be desired. With a better enemy AI I would probably have come back and played this game several times!

Survival Racing - LD41 by Aszu 2018-05-04T21:49:13Z

Congrats to your first LD entry! That's a sweet little game, although I had a lot of problems remembering the controls. Well done!

MechJox by Houruck 2018-05-06T21:27:28Z

Nice game! Great to see someone else doing a story game (altough you are using the much superior Twine than trying to build your own in c++ ;)). Interesting experiment with the real time battle. The things I will take away from it is:

* You don't really have time to read the stats during battle. Less text and more clearer on the things that is still there, like healthbars.

* The text describing what part the enemy was protecting/attacking was switched from when I was supposed to do the input. The time limit made that small part fry my brain on a couple of occations. Just such a small detail that really enhanced the experience!

Also, the feeling of being vulnerable when having to leave your mech to be able to go inside a building: also adds to the atmosphere a lot! Well done!

Tiny Crusader by nilstastic 2018-04-23T19:21:09Z

PARTICLES?!? DIRT AND RAIN! Whoa, that is seriously awesome! You also managed to fix that insane difficulty level from when I tried it early in development. Thats really impressive as well!

This game is actually a lot of fun to play. The difficulty level is pretty good, maybe a little on the lower side actually. I could play for a really long time before dying. Some variation as you keep playing would have made a lot of difference in longer playablilty, but hey, it's 48 hours. This is a solid entry. One of your top entries even!

MazeInvaders by Jenonator 2018-04-26T19:46:43Z

Wow, the uncompressed files are 1,5 gb!!! How did you manage to make it that big?! Anyway, I get lost in the maze. Would need some kind of visual queue to help me navigate at least a little.

TimeStaar [Turn Based Bullet Hell] by NullCode 2018-05-15T19:43:46Z

This entry was really good!!! Awesome graphics and great sound. I had some problem coming up with good tactics to stay in the game though, because I had a really hard time reading how the bullets would travel. Longer trails and a bit more obvious would make me play this game far too much...!! Awesome job!
