The game was good, but I'm it could have helped with a little more hand holding. I think I managed to figure out the game after a while, but I still don't understand why I suddenly got game over. I guess because I had taken all available perks =) Some sound effects would helped a lot as well

Very interesting mechanic when you collect specific orders of gems. I was kind of expecting a bullet hell game where you had to focus more to avoid some of the gems when enemies fires lots of them towards the player, so I think it will work well if you want to add more aggressive enemies and bosses. Also nice touch when the first part is only focusing on picking up the games.
+1 on sound effects and a little confusing in the beginning :)
I guess I must kinda suck because by the time I collect a few sets the enemies are getting pretty low on the screen. I like the main game mechanic though, it is unexpected.
I like this idea a lot! Would be fun to see how the concept works in a more difficult level, cause focusing on picking up the right things while fighting more/more aggressive enemies sounds like it would be very fun. Great work!

Great game,a time for take,a time for dogde ! Interesting mechanics and good mix with shoot and puzzle game ! maybe the rythm is too slow...but that's relaxing !
This is such a fresh little idea. I really liked the space invaders type game combined with something almost candy-crush like. Really well done :)
I was confused about what I was supposed to do for most of the game, but kept collecting things in the hopes that I'll figure it out eventually :joy: I think I started understanding the displays in the upper right about 5 seconds before I won :joy:

Wow, really creative game mechanic! The "bullets" don't hurt you, but they ruin the recipe for the thing you're going after, so you still need to avoid them. It's easy to avoid the colours you don't want, just by not shooting those enemies. But eventually the enemies start piling up so you HAVE to shoot it, and then suddenly the gameplay switches to needing to avoid the bullets. Great job!
Great game. As other people have said, I'd love to see the game Play out in more difficult levels. I had the same problem, I buiid an Almost fully working level editor, but only managef to create 4 levels haha. Great submission!
Amazing graphics. Liked the game a lot. Amazing mechanics. Loved it.
Overall: A game that's too short to do justice to its very clever gameplay mechanic!
Fun: The pattern matching is a fantastic game mechanic. I think it is really wonderful. The shortcoming is that by the time I had competely figured out the mechanic, I was nearly at the end of the game! (Then I played the game a second time through, to confirm that I understood the mechanic precisely.) That's really two problems: (i) The game doesn't explain what's going on quickly. A sort of "tutorial" mode that runs for the first minute or two - telling the player what to do and drawing attention to how the patterns get filled - would really help with that. (ii) The whole thing is too short. I think the only thing to do is add more content. And it should get more difficult by the end. More stages, more upgrades. Weapon upgrades! Movement upgrades! Health upgrades! How about upgrades that you don't really want (or only want in specific situations) to add a reason to try to discard?
Innovation: Yes!! I haven't seen this mechanic before and I think it took some real insight to come up with.
Theme: Yes!
Graphics: I like the graphics!
Humor: It's a pretty funny/quirky game and it turns out that there are some gags in the upgrade descriptions but I didn't notice them on my first playthrough because I was focusing on the action! (What's the solution to this? A little bullet time every time a new upgrade appears??)
Mood: OK, but it's a shame about the lack of audio which would really help to make the game feel more exciting.

Love the art style, great character design on the muffin enemies!
Would have been epic with a bit of sound, but plays well regardless.
The space/shooting would be helpful with auto-repeat.

Fun little game and the art is great.
The no sound thing really hurt the game though, as it was hard to "get into" a groove playing it. Took me a while to figure out what I was doing at the beginning, but once I got it it was fun to play.
Something to keep working on, as with some groovy music and sound effects this could be a great little game.
