Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(

Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Very well executed! Music, graphics, gameplay, all was good.
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
I have to admit I skipped the intro after the sixth screen or so, and then couldn't figure out how to play :(
Nice idea thought, reminds me of Minecraft.
Very cool! One of the few games were the music isn't annoying after 10 seconds :)
I made it! My ant comrades won't starve!
A good idea well executed. Good job! :)
What a great idea! Aiming for the other raindrops is pretty hard thought, I missed them most of the time.
Anyway, cool concept!
I hope humany will never use spaceships for mining, my crew died a horrible death multiple times ;)
Cool idea. Sound did fit.
Nice little roguelike.
I had no idea what to do. So I slaughtered everybody, got down the stairs and the red C told me I solved some kind of mystery ;)
Was fun, thought.
I have to say I'm impressed. The game feels complete and polished, and is fun to play. Great first LD :)
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Well, THAT was fun! :) Reminds me of Osmos, with a big load of awesome on top of it.
Well done!
Those blue things. They won't get me. Never! Ever! Arrrrrghllglgl....
Crashes on Mac OSX :(
Yeah, the controls take a bit getting used to. Sorry for that :(
You can press and hold multiple keys together, which makes little guy run around corners
Medium and hard levels not loading could be your browser choking on the recursion. Definitely works on Chrome or Firefox :/
@thristhart You're right! This looks very much like my game :) I even had the same colored boxes for player and exit during development. (Haven't seen that game until you linked it. There must be some strange subconscious urge to use a blue box as player sprite in maze games.)
Interesting that players have the same problems with moving around corners.
@4urentertainment Yeah, the initial idea was that there are different powerups and little obstacles all over the maze, but I ran out of time. Maybe I'll still do that in a 'after compo' version.
Hi everyone,
thanks for the many nice comments!
I made an 'advanced' version of the game, with most of the stuff I initially planned to include: powerups, sounds, a few more graphics.
You can find it here:
http://tinymaze.netmute.org/
Great graphics, fun gameplay. Maybe a bit too easy. Really enjoyed it!
Couldn't get it to run on my Mac :(
Very cool idea, great sound, great graphics! What a nice game.
Interesting concept. The music was very menacing :)
The last human stood in a pile of dead bodies and refused to die, I don't want to think about what he was eating...
I had fun! :)
Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Great graphics. Not much gameplay, but what's there feels smooth :)
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
I can't rate this because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
I didn't really got what was going on, the text at the start changed way too fast to understand it :)
I managed to win randomly a few times by mass spawning bots ;)
Nice little puzzle game. Music is awesome, but not part of the compo, so I didn't rate it.
I was unable to get this to run on OSX :(
Crashes when I try to run it on OSX :(
This is awesome for 5 hours! I liked the puzzles, but it was more trial and error than logic and combination :)
Took me a while to figure out how to play. Graphics are nice. Idea is great.
At some point little people started building houses and chopping down all my trees, no clue if that's good :)
I installed the Unity Web Player just for you ;) Chrome on Mac complains every 20 seconds that it's about to crash or something, but I guess that's the Unity player.
Nice game overall :)
I was impressed by the graphics, but had little to no idea what I was doing. Stuff kept falling from the top and people drew weapons :)
Great idea anyway!
I had no idea what was going on until I read the game description. A little ingame help would have been great :)
Sweet graphics tho.
Graphics are cool, sound as well. Cool idea ;)
Absolutely enjoyed this! You may have abused my soft spot for space traders, I long for them :)
Amazingly polished gameplay. One of the few gems I will play long after LD23 :)
(This would be great on an iPad, *hint* *hint*, pleaaase!)
The screenshots sure look awesome! But I couldn't get it to run on Chrome/Mac :(
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Wow, total work of art. And surprising in the end ;)
Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
This was awesome! Great simple art style, clever physics and hilarious music.
Weee! I had so much fun! :)
DIE! STUPID HUMANS
Nice idea. Took me a while to figure out what to do.
The sound was pretty good.
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
I can't rate this because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
You made this in 48 hours? I have to build you a shrine or something :)
Really good game! Better than some stuff that is sold.
Cool SHMUP. Very polished and nice idea with the mini doctor :)
Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Controls feel pretty awkward. I was never quite sure how the ball reacts to my keypresses.
Apart from that, great art style! Impressive for 8 hours.
Very nice art-style, reminds me of Limbo. Great sound too. Good work!
Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Very cute idea. The controls were a bit hard. I felt sorry for all the little guys I had to leave behind because i missed them ;)
Great job!
Slightly overwhelming, but cool tower defense game!
Very smooth game. Nice idea to include the wrap around levels into the puzzles.
Loved the sound and graphics. Nice work!
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Let my repeat what I already told you on Twitter ;)
Controls are annoying at times, everything else is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. So cute, lovely music, so much content! After the first 3 buildings I thought thats it, but they kept coming :)
I love it!
Props for building an enjoyable game concept around Conway's Game of Life :)
Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
The game totally crashed when I tried to quit it after finishing, apart from that...
WHOA, that was awesome! Graphics are cute, humor is great, I laughed so hard at the end. A bit short, but who cares.
Sound and controls are nice too!
Extra points for doing a native Mac build ;)
I stomped over everything, but nothing happens at all :( Can't destroy castles or forests.
Apart from the bug its a pretty funny idea thought :)
What is going on?! :) Cool shot em up tho :)
I had no idea what I'm supposed to do, cool idea tho ;)
Cool idea. The little slimy guys and their animations were gorgeous.
This game had a great feel of exploration to it. Some sort of map would have been nice, I was never really sure were I already had been.
Doesn't really fit the theme thought, the world is massive ;)
Can't... let... the game... beat me...
I'm hooked. If I don't rate the other games that's your fault ;)
You made an adventure game in 48 hours, awesome!
Flash version was unplayable slow on Chrome/OSX :( Unity web player works thought.
I really, really liked the art. That must have been a HUGE amount of work.
Impressive art and music! All those collectibles really made it shine!
Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Gameplay is super smooth and fun, graphics are great, sound is not annoying :)
Difficulty is way too easy. My blue ants crushed the reds in 2 minutes with me basically doing nothing at all.
Overall a great game!
The gameplay video was impressive. Awesome combination of graphics and sound.
Unfortunately I can't rate it because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
The 3D is nicely done. I somehow ended up on the dark side of the planet and couldn't see anything at all, except UFOs ;)
Graphics are very good, you even made a little app icon :)
Gameplay was quite ok.
That was awesome! Very polished, cool graphics, cool sound. Really liked your humor :)
Quite funny, the music creeped me out :) Cool game overall.
Took me a while to figure out what I'm supposed to do. But then I won. Nice music thought.
Great humor! I smiled at every text I read :)
Gameplay was fun and challenging.
I CAN FLY!
Seriously, I had much fun with it ;)
Fun to play. Sound and music fit perfectly.
Congratulations for making a very polished game! :)
Gameplay was fun once I figured out how to play. And I agree that the ability to restart after death would be very nice :)
Couldn't rate because I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
The planet graphics are nicely done, but I got totally confused of what I'm supposed to do :)
Nice concept. Sound effects were good, music got a bit annoying after 10 minutes ;)
Cool game overall.
Can't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Whoa, this was pretty cool! Very much like Worms :)
The hand-drawn planet/moon graphics gave the game a very special charm.
Firing could have used a bit more thrust. The projectiles always fell down before reaching the other player.
Overall quite funny, good job! :)
(Special points for adding a Mac build 'just for me' :)
Couldn't rate because I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
I loved this. The tiny graphics are awesome.
That spider/demon thing killed me a few times until I figured I shouldn't go there again ;)
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
Works well on OSX. The sounds lack a bit behind the actions, but thats fine :)
Impressive graphics, nice sound. The story reminded me a bit of Commander Keen :)
Clever level design as well. Every time there was a bigger battle, the tiny red healing tube wasn't far away.
And I found a kitty ;)
Good job!
Couldn't rate because I'm using a Mac. Sorry :(
One word: Impressive.
On Chrome/OSX I can't get farther than the main menu. The game just freezes there. Didn't rate.
Couldn't get this to run on OSX :(
Getting stuck in the walls quite often and had to restart.
Character graphics look great!
Is the guy flying by shooting stuff from his shoulders? :)
Really liked this. The world seems to be huge, a minimap would have been cool.
Hunting down and applying new evolutions was very rewarding. I sooo wanted to know what I could do with all the wood, but the game crashed before I could get to the 4th evolution :(
Kept me playing for a while, good job ;)
Graphics are nicely done and fit the theme well.
It gets insanely hard on the higher levels ;)
Had fun with it. Could have used some sound thought.
Nice and simple. Would work great on an iPad with a bit more polishing!
Great mechanic! Some color combinations where hard ;) Music was also great.
lol?
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Interesting idea, very good execution :)
The game works correctly in Firefox now. Sorry for that.
Love the idea! Nice and simple :)
I was a bit hard to figure out what key I'm supposed to press to start the game because the font didn't make it clear.
Music and atmosphere were just great! I bit hard to navigate because one can't see depth when everything is white ;)
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
I LOVE the concept! This would be serious fun with friends on a console. I wish it had some kind of AI so I wouldn't have to play against myself, though.
Interesting take on the popular Werewolf game ;)
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Very nice style. The sound kind of creeped me out on those first levels ;)
A bit overwhelming, but very funny :)
A game were you can't lose :D
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Screenshots look nice, unfortunately I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
What a great experience, reminded me a bit of Proteus :) I liked the tiny clues given by the giant letters, the feeling of true exploration, and the many little things one can find.
AAAAAH THERE ARE SO MANY
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
I'm on a Mac and can't rate. Sorry :(
Minimal coding for teh win :P
I have no Java installed, sorry :(
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
Phew, took me a while to realize I have to type. I almost already failed at the menu screen :D
Very fun game, gets devilishly hard in the later levels ;)
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
I have no Java installed, sorry :(
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
Cute art style ;)
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
It looks soooo nice. I'm a sucker for space games. Unfortunately I'm on a Mac and can't play it :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Tried again after you uploaded the Mac version. How do I start it? :)
I like the idea, but it's almost impossible to figure out what you need to do to advance a level without reading the solution :(
Java hates me. I can't play it, sorry :(
Haha, cool idea! :)
Forever alone.
(I only rated the music, because it's the only part of the game I have access to, and because it's frickin awesome.)
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
That art style is so beautiful! Unfortunately Java seriously messes up my system, so I can only stare at the screenshot and not play :(
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
Very cool idea ;) Maybe make the king more powerful and give 1 or 2 assassins special abilities :)
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
Cool graphics, but very buggy :(
Trippy ;) My LSD beaver was killed by a wooden box.
I can't run Java stuff, which is a bummer because it looks nice. Sorry :(
Art is awesome, sound is annoying ;) (Seriously, that art is so lovely...)
Great game! I liked all about it! But you shouldn't restart the music on every level, it's great, just keep it playing ;)
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
The hehe thehe thehehe hehe he.
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Great job coming up with an RPG that doesn't require a 300 page rulebook ;)
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Whats going ooooooon, I don't even....
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Don't have an Android device. Probably never will... ;)
That potato song. It is awesome.
The game doesn't even start :( (Mac OSX 10.8)
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
Looks cool from the screenshots, unfortunately I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Can't play because I have no Java installed. Sorry :(
Looks nice, but why won't you let me play it? :'(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
I don't have Java installed. Sorry :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
"Oh, I think I got this, I will just.... AH THESE BASTARDS FIRE BACK". Nice one :) I liked that the core mechanic was inspired by the theme.
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Looks cool from the screenshots, unfortunately I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
I liked it, nice style :)
I'm on Mac, sorry :/
I don't have Java installed. Sorry :(
Love the style, not sure what's going on, though ;) Why is my guy pooping rainbows?
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
I don't have Java installed. Sorry :(
Nice game! Am I supposed to always be in the upper left corner? ;)
I don't have Java installed. Sorry :(
The screenshots look really nice. Unfortunately I can't play it because I'm on a Mac :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
I have no idea how to play it :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Congrats for finishing your game! Keep it up!
Music was awesome! Really can't rate the rest, because it just completely glitched out with colors all over the place and even the Unity logo broken. If that was your intention: Awesome! :D
The screenshot looks super nice, but I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
I don't have Java installed. Sorry :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Pretty freaky, I like it! :)
You know, normally I would have just copy n pasted the "I don't have Windows" thing. But since you've been cool on Twitter, you get a special story.
Me and Windows, we have a long story. We don't like each other particularly well. It said things about my mom, I threw stuff at it, etc.
In the end, we decided to part ways. It think it was better for both us. I mean, its getting old and ugly, and it's constantly bitching about things. But I'm rambling...
Ah, the old days.
Graphically and acoustically beautiful! One of the best entries I've played so far. My only complaint is that the controls are a bit unresponsive.
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
Very unique gameplay, nice art style and superb music. Congratulations ;)
Beautiful idea going on here :)
What have I just done? :D I just followed that little radar thing in the lower right and the levels basically solved themselves. Not sure if I played this right ;)
Pretty deep for a LD game. Well done!
Straight forward platformer, I liked the wall-jump mechanic :)
At level 2 my hand-eye coordination basically stopped working ;) I very much liked the idea and the sound fit well.
I'm on a Mac, sorry :(
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Sound and graphics were neat, but I had absolutely to chance in ever winning that ;)
I had more fun with the game than expected :) Starting from the second night, I almost always made a profit.
I can imagine the story how you got the inspiration for this is a good one... ;)
I don't have Java installed, sorry :(
So... Mac users only get the source code? ;)
Nice that you got a Mac version now! :) The "Sinus-Jump" mechanic is a pretty awesome idea.
Nice idea ;) I had the impression I could cheat on most levels by just double-jumping over everything, and then came the spikes... ;)
I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Ha! Even beat the last level! :P
Very hard, but cool style.
Looks cool from the screenshots, unfortunately I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Once I figured out how to get points it was pretty fun. Music was great, and graphics... come one, you already KNOW that the style is awesome! ;)
Kept me playing longer than I thought ;) The shop mechanic with the upgradable weapons was a nice touch.
Pretty much crashed my system to the point where I had to reset it (OSX 10.8). I won't touch that again, sorry :/
I love the idea of combining Minecraft with puzzle mechanics! Very well executed! Mouse sensitivity was WAY too high, though. Almost impossible to control with a touchpad :/
Graphically and acoustically beautiful! One of the best entries I've played so far. My only complaint is that the controls are a bit unresponsive.
Argh, that comment was for another game, sorry :(
The sheer amount of games is a bit overwhelming for me :P
I would love to play this, but I'm on a Mac. Sorry :(
Pretty cool little puzzler. Had a lot of fun with it! :)
One minor thing though: The positions of the Z and Y keys are switched on German keyboards, which made it a bit hard to press Z ;)
I loved the art, really nicely drawn.
Graphics are stunning!
So, I beat the game on the highest difficulty level :) 72115 points.
I basically kept playing until I maxed out everything and then just pumped all my money into health :)
Sure, it lacks animation, but the little black and white workshop was quite charming. The game kept me playing for an embarrassingly large amount of time. I just wanted to see if I could beat the next difficulty level, and then the next, and the next...
The balance between the available upgrades and the difficulty was surprisingly good for a 48 hour game.
Really, the only major complaint that I have is that the gameplay is largely just pure luck. If the robot stays mainly in an already cleared area, you win, if not, you're fucked :)
Good job overall though :)
Almost forgot this: My main motivation was to see how many difficulty levels I could beat. After the second one, it kind of felt like they were just endlessly procedurally generated.
That being not the case, and seeing the "you beat the highest difficulty" message was VERY rewarding :)
Would love to rate it, the screenshots look cool, but I'm on a Mac and can't play Windows games. Sorry :(
I would love to play this, the art looks ace! Maybe consider a Mac version?
Wondering what the consequences would be. They'll probably just sent someone else to kill that guy. Why is he supposed to die in the first place? So many questions... ;)
Nice music, very moody. Reminded me of the farm song in Ocarina of Time somewhat :)
The water effects gave a nice touch.
I patiently waited for my sons for 9 generations, then I had 30 seconds and just rushed through, leaving the last poor guy behind.
Very atmospheric. The huge red things creeped me out :)
Reminded me of Osmos.
I love that this has a story :)
I'm not really sure if I play this right. I kill everyone, then I'm left with nothing to do, then the level restarts when either mine or her time runs out.
Pretty good for your first submission :) Gameplay was simple, challenging and fun!
Nice platformer. Lots of levels, which is awesome. I wish it had checkpoints, though. Some of the deaths right in front of the exit where very frustrating ;)
I love the theme, the atmosphere, and the gameplay mechanic. I'm a sucker for scifi in every form :)
Navigation/orientation was too hard, though. I could never really form an image of my surroundings in my head, because most things seemed to look the same.
Please keep working on this in the future! You're on to something here and I would love to play the finished game! :)
I liked that you can actually shoot holes into everything. But the forward velocity was way too sensitive. I pushed forward a couple thousand miles of space, got hopelessly lost, and then managed to get stuck in a hole that I just dug into something. That was fun :D
Nice graphics and music. Really liked the overall style. Good job :)
(I think the walking animation is broken, even in the post compo version. It doesn't cycle completely.)
Nice concept. My score was 3960 when I stopped playing :)
The art is well done, but I found the overall experience rather confusing at first :)
(From a technical standpoint I find it rather interesting that you implemented a simple natural language processor here. Good job!)
I have no way of playing Windows games (using a Mac here). Sorry :(
The screenshots look promising, but I have no way of playing Windows games, sorry :(
All I could think was "Aaaaah, a horde of zombies wants to eat me because I'm fat!" ;)
Very polished and nicely done! I couldn't really figure out how my playstyle affected the level up, and ultimately the dragon killed me. I little bit more feedback from the game on this would have been nice. Otherwise really enjoyable :)
I have no way of playing Windows games (using a Mac), sorry :(
Fun little dodging game :) The controls were a bit hard though.
Nice art.
I had a strange bug where the same settings didn't always produce the same result. (i.e. something flying in one direction sometimes hit things on its path, and sometimes it didn't)
Fun, but hard :) At first the graphics seemed strange, but after a while I really liked them, mainly because of the nicely fitting colors.
Very moody. I wish you would have talked a little bit louder, it was hard to follow a times :) (I'm a non-native english speaker)
I have no way of playing Windows games (using a Mac here), sorry :(
Loved the style, very polished overall. I felt sorry for the little robot guy in the end :/
The delay after I revealed 2 tiles was a bit annoying. I felt like I could have gone a lot faster, but the game won't let me.
Fun little unforgivingly hard platformer ;)
Nice idea :)
Nice and simple. Particularly liked that the sounds seem to arrange into some kind of melody as you play.
I loved it! The sound, graphics, gameplay, all fit perfectly. I only stopped playing because I want to try other games as well :D
I would have been nice if the win/lose text at the end of each level could be skipped. The text is funny, but not 10 times in a row ;)
I have no way of playing Windows games (using a Mac), sorry :(
The graphics were very good and the game controlled well. But I wasn't able to figure out what to do :/
The screenshots look awesome. But it outright crashed on OSX. Wasn't able to play :(
Those graphics were awesome for 48 hours. Could have used a little more animation though :)
I liked that you could lure enemies into the spike traps.
What the... I don't even...
I dig the hand-drawn art, but I have no idea whats going on :)
This was a combination of themes that totally shouldn't work, but boy it did! I played this for way longer than I care to admit  I was debt-free by day 16.
Only 2 minor gripes with it. I wish there was a way to sell all the juice at once. Towards the end my hand hurt from dragging hundreds of juice boxes around :joy: And man... that maxed out screen shake, it makes me dizzy :joy:
Edit: Just in case it wasn't obvious, I loved this! Will give the link to my girlfriend this evening, and then probably won't see her again for the day
@griz AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
This was a very interesting entry. Randomly generated open world roguelike with crafting. It feels almost too ambitious for the compo
I liked it. The simple graphics work in favor of your game. Since the whole concept of the game is figuring out what the items do, it would have benefitted from more feedback when using them. Most of the time I wasn't sure the item did anything at all.
Nice game overall
Oh, and you might want to rate some games yourself, otherwise the system buries your game. I wouldn't have discovered it if I wasn't explicitly looking for games with zero ratings.
The graphics are spectacular for 48h!
At first I jumped right in, without bothering with the manual. Boy was I lost  Even after trying to comprehend the manual, I had a hard time understanding how the mechanics work.
Overall a very well executed and splendid looking game   that I sadly don't have the patience for right now
Unfortunately it crashed right away :(.
The error was: `abort(114). Build with -s ASSERTIONS=1 for more info.`
Hope it helps :hugging:
@paulhocker mac/safari
I would love to play your entry, but it crashes right on launch
Screenshot 2019-10-12 at 15.38.52.png
@lucien-catonnet I'm still seeing the same error. In Safari autoplay only works after explicit user interaction.
@lucien-catonnet Thank you for taking the time to fix it :hugging:
It's working now, albeit without sound.
That's super fun! Feels like reverse Tetris :joy:
Here is my final score. I maneuvered myself into a dead end there
Screenshot 2019-10-12 at 19.07.39-2.png
I was confused about what I was supposed to do for most of the game, but kept collecting things in the hopes that I'll figure it out eventually :joy: I think I started understanding the displays in the upper right about 5 seconds before I won :joy:
10/10 would be confused again
Just like Diablo, aimlessly wander around until you find great armor and weapons, then go straight for the thunder lama :joy:
"Und Grüße vom einzigen anderen LD Hamburger  "
@jan5366x We should definitely have coffee over the next LD! Would love to meet fellow jammers.
The graphics were absolutely spectacular!
The UI is kinda broken on a Mac with Retina display, tho. Text is tiny, and the menu is floating in the middle of the screen
Screenshot 2019-10-12 at 19.43.02.png
Overall this was a really nice game!
A very well executed game, but SO. FRUSTRATING. :grimacing: Whoever sends their bot first is guaranteed to drop their box on the other side, because all the bots walk at the same speed.
So, great game! grml...
I'll be honest. From the description and the screenshots I didn't think I'd like this. Card games are not my cup of tea, and it sounded kinda complicated.
Boy was I wrong. This might be one of the most fun games I've played this LD. The mechanics are very simple once you understood them. The more I played, the more I learned what card modifications were beneficial. I kept my deck at 4 cards and just buffed them as far as I could every round. Then I discovered I could modify myself. I AM A GOD NOW.
I loved it. I loved the tactical placement of my pieces on the board. And using buffed up fireballs to snipe the nasty looking ones from afar.
The missing sound doesn't hurt the game. And the graphics are nice and simple, they get the mechanics across and fit this type of game very well. Minor critic point? After you understand the mechanics and have a buffed out deck, it becomes almost too easy
I think you are too harsh on yourself. This is wonderful for 48h and I enjoyed it a lot! :hugging:
RUBY!
Ok, this was spectacular. Loved the graphics. Not really sure what the roll was for, as I never needed to use it to win the game.
Good job! :hand_splayed:
I love small puzzles like these, well done! But I had a hard time figuring how the buildings affected each other.
In the end I managed to get 143 points. Yay me!
That was beautiful!
Therapeutic in a weird way :joy:
Thank you :hugging:
That narrator voice was too good :joy:
I enjoyed this a lot. The graphics, the storytelling, the humor. Even my girlfriend stopped what she was doing and watched me play
I like this! I wish I could zoom out a bit to see where I'm going. I found a stick! I found a mace! I found a sword! I'm invincible! HOLY FUCK THAT VOID SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME. I'm dead.
10/10 would die again.
I never really knew if the game was supposed to be like that or if it was broken :joy: Never had sound, never managed to find the second star
Interesting entry, but confusing as heck :joy:
Just like my Boy Scout leader always told me, head into the bush, find the first man-sized bee and beat it to death with a stick
I was a little sad I lost my dog somewhere along the way (like, literally lost), but managed to find the amulet and bring it back!
That was fun overall. The sound was a bit glitchy in places, but otherwise solid entry. Good job!
Felt like an escape room inside a LucasArts adventure :joy: In the end I escaped. Good job!
Mac tester checking in! Runs great. The text doesn't fit the boxes, not sure if that's a Mac thing.
I had fun overall! Starved to death on day 3
I would love to try your game, but I get this error
`abort(114). Build with -s ASSERTIONS=1 for more info.`
The description sounds fun tho  :hugging:
@catusfelony Safari/Mac, guilty :sweat_smile:
First off: Thank you making a Mac version! It works wonderfully, even has a cute little icon.
Screenshot 2019-10-08 at 17.44.52.png
The game itself is very fun. Especially after you figure out the trick how to move fast  It took me a long time to notice I can kill the big guys too. After that it was pretty simple to go back to the top and enjoy my win screen
That was pretty spectacular!
I think I found a bug tho  In my first game, I didn't survive the first night. The attacks were pretty intense and I didn't have enough material to repair the shelter.
I then started my second game, and wasn't attacked once, until I was rescued eventually.
This was a really really superb entry :ok_hand:
Nice entry! The spinning things move through walls and got me when I spend too much time in the starting area :joy:
That was really cute! I was so heartbroken when my ducklings where run over the first time :scream: Cool entry
Oh I remember that 8 lane roundabout from hell. And this feels just like the real thing :joy:
Very fun game. Lots of nice detail. The billboards with the credits were a really nice touch
It's cyberpunk Tetris! Sound feels spectacular! Art feels spectacular! The controls feel wrong
Overall great entry!
I am the bestest of boys
Screenshot 2020-10-14 at 17.56.09.png
Loved the sound :joy:
I played this far longer than I care to admit :joy:
That was a really really good game! :ok_hand:
The only (tiny) negative I have, is that I would have liked some kind of indication that I already bought something. But, really, good game
The screenshots look cool, but I couldn't get the game to load in any browser, sorry
Very polished and fun game  I like that you could pull off a simple and well executed idea  Someday I will as well
Well, that took almost no time at all :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Screenshot 2020-10-14 at 17.34.22.png
I love a good clicker. And the visual presentation in this one was superb!
That was spectacular! I loved all the effects you put in there. And I'm a bit amazed that you managed to reach the token limit  I make sure to download your cartridge and learn a thing or two
What a cool little puzzle game! For some reason it reminded me of those golf games I really like  I just wish it responded a little faster, might have been the laggy webgl. Nice job!
I absolutely loved the graphics and atmosphere in this game! But I had a really hard time trying to figure out what I am supposed to do  I gave up after being stuck for a while at the graveyard
This was fantastic! Scary, but fantastic :ok_hand:
Lot's of great programmer humor in here :joy: I love a good point n click, and this one was very unique. Well done
Really nice music and graphics! But brutally difficult
Those were some really cool graphics! I also liked the changing map layout mechanic a lot, although I wished it had a little more influence on the gameplay. Great entry overall!
I would love to try your game, but I can't play Windows games, sorry
@vivien-fargette HTML5 or Mac will work :hugging:
Such a cute take on Space Invaders! Huge kudos to you for doing actual voice acting, this must be the second time I've encountered this in 8 years of Ludum Dare  A solid entry, congrats to all of you!
@vivien-fargette thank you for the Mac build
What a fantastic experience! The graphics where gorgeous, the trees and falling leaves. There's also quite a lot of content here, the level design was super interesting. I'm not really sure about the controls. Sometimes they felt great -especially after I found out I can still control the player while hooked-, but sometimes they also felt too sluggish and floaty.
Overall this was a very very nice entry! Congrats
Not sure why, but your link 404s. I navigated there manually. I liked the low poly graphics combined with the light effects, looks a lot like some elite-likes I really loved. Wish there was a way to restart once you crashed. Nice entry
34! And only because that little bugger bumped into me right before the end! Those sounds! That was a fun little game, thank you
Spectacular graphics, well done! :ok_hand:
The sound was hilarious  I found the best strategy is just to stay in place and let the flies come to me  :thumbsup:
That was super fun! The only real complaint I have is that dying every 60s is frustrating  Congrats!
That was a charming little platformer! I did get lost a couple times, but figured I usually get ahead by doing the opposite of what the game tells me to do :smirk:
Ok, I have to admit, I kinda got frustrated after the tenth loop :joy:
I really liked the memory puzzle mechanic, and the graphics where super great!
A very solid game! Everything worked nicely and the controls felt very good!
The shadow was a great and innovative idea! I abused the "power jump" when I got stuck on edges a lot  I had a bit of a hard time figuring out how I'm supposed to use the shadow to solve problems. So I solved them the old fashioned way, with speed and guns :ok_hand:
That looks really nice, but I can't play Windows games, sorry
@seth-tal HTML5 or Mac will work :hugging:
@seth-tal Of course I'm playing it!
The music was fantastic, and the graphics really cute! I don't know if it's something specific to the Mac version, but the character selection screen only had a 4x4px clickable area for each character
If the battles are going to be 3 vs. 3 in real-time, I would like some reduced micro management. Characters choose new enemies themself, flee if low on health etc., and I make the big-picture decisions
Overall, great prototype!
Aaaaah, it never stops! I turn keys and press buttons and scan things and nothing ever changes, it feels like my job
The sound was on point, and you even did voice acting  That was a fun entry
Sweet graphics! I wonder why those drivers never noticed when I put them in a very tiny loop  Grob job!
I liked the graphic style and sounds a lot! Very "Nidhogg" almost. Great job!
LOVED the music, but had zero idea what I was doing  I suck at music games I think
I loved the original "Ice Climbers" on the NES as a kid! This is very cool homage to that. The addition of the grappling hook works well in this context. The controls were a bit harsh tho. I would have liked if the hook just went in the direction I clicked, without me having to click on an actual wall. Still a nice entry!
Super cool graphics and a very polished game  Good job
In addition to my original comment: I really like the Factorio conveyor belts
This was one of the most interesting games I've played this LD!
First, the few negatives. If I hadn't read the itch.io description, I would have no idea what to do. And the difficulty was brutal
To the positives. Maybe I'm a bit biased, because I love space games, and I love PICO-8 games. I loved the tiny graphics. The game felt very thought out and complete, It wouldn't surprise me to randomly stumble upon this on an 80s arcade machine. You even implemented different difficulties! I felt the theme very much in this one. You're trying to get away from an exploding star, and are literally stuck in a loop waiting for your orbit to finally speed up enough to get away further.
This was splendid, especially for a compo game
At first I thought the difficulty was brutal, but then something clicked and I "almost" won  Good job! Congrats on your first jam game! :ok_hand:
Loved the music, loved the space theme, but noooooo don't send me back to the bottom after 30s, so frustrating! :joy:
Nice game, would pummel to the ground again
I played it 3 or 4 times, but never found ending 1  A game with very serious undertones, that made me sad for a bit. That amazing whale graphic made up for it tho
A bitsy game! Very dark and moody, good job! I was a bit sad I couldn't find her in the end.
Graphics and sound were really nice, very arcadey! I managed to survive till wave 18  :ok_hand:
My score is 37. Did I do well? :cold_sweat:
The art was super great! I wish there was some kind of feedback when the bucket is full, I missed that repeatedly
Oh nooo, you left such a fantastic comment on my game, and here I am and can't even get yours to load  I tried Firefox and Safari, and on both the progress bar just stops. Hope you get a million ratings tho :hugging:
@steventus Very down to try, but I'm on a Mac
@steventus Hey! I took the liberty to debug your WebGL version for a bit. The issue seems to be that IndexDB isn't loading. Which is correct, because it's disabled in my Firefox.
Screenshot 2020-10-08 at 10.06.57.png
I poked around the Unity forums for a bit, and the good news is you can fix it. Try to turn off "data caching" in the publishing settings in WebGL's player settings. Hope that helps
@steventus Well, what do you know, it works now
Ah, the clicker. Nothing more satisfying than making numbers go up, then use the numbers to make numbers go up faster. The human brain is a funny one. This type of game fits the theme perfectly  And the subtle irony of a robot arm throwing away time and batteries is not lost on me.
This, disturbingly, was a lot of fun  Well done!
What am I even doing with my life?
Screenshot 2020-10-08 at 11.59.36.png
All those loops made me... loopy (ba-dum-ts). At first I though I'm stuck in a loop and the level will never end. Then I created another... loop, that warped me right out of the level into another level, where I was stuck in another... loop. Cool entry! Would loop the loop again
God, no, spiders. And then they ate me. Nope nope nope.
Very nice graphics, good job  :cold_sweat:
Nice to see a PICO-8 game! I loved the animation of disco guy. But the difficulty was brutal  Good job!
What a cool first entry, congrats!
Small suggestion, after the third loop or so, I really wished I could skip the repeating dialog
That was a cool idea! Good job! :ok_hand:
I really loved the mechanics here! I played and played and played, but no matter how strong I got, the green guy 1-hit-killed me and I had to start all over
Fun entry!
Getting some serious "Lost" vibe from this! I had a bit of a hard time figuring out what I was supposed to do. Clicking on things did nothing. The music fit well and the art style is very cute
