Has good potential! keep going.

riamudimentis 2012-04-24 00:00

Hey, it's really neat, I'd like to see this as a finished product after the contest.

uberneen 2012-04-24 00:04

ia! ia!

liger13 2012-04-24 00:05

Fun idea, it's always great to see new participants.

skullsoft 2012-04-24 04:44

WTF it sticks the window in the top of the screen and cuts the bottom part (with the hero in it presumably) off?

Any idea what might've caused that?

armornick 2012-04-24 04:49

Cool game, but it didn't really fit 'Tiny World', in my opinion.

chtulhu 2012-04-24 14:04

MadGnomeGamer can you show a screenshot of your problem? I've tested the game on linux and windows several times and I didn't see something you describe. I would like to understand what's going on.

zorf 2012-04-24 16:05

Iä iä! More and harder enemies would be cool!

unicornpooping 2012-04-24 16:22

That was a lot of fun! Lol. Great job!

jeroenimooo 2012-04-24 16:56

Endless killing games are always fun! never played chtulhu before :)

ziomorti 2012-04-24 17:32

I liked the concept and I think you got the theme in a good way.

eelfroth 2012-04-24 19:08

Through the continuous growth of the player character this game gives you an impressive feeling of super-human power.
I would have liked some more interactivity and a proper ending. But nice theme-interpretation: when you are huge, the world becomes tiny. Funny to see those tiny mortals trying to stop a Grat Old One.

zoomyzoom 2012-04-24 22:26

Keep going! needs some work. otherwise its looking good!

lawrence-esswood 2012-04-24 22:29

Wonderfully silly! A good improvement would be a choice of attack - space mash hurts my thumb. Nice going!

devwil 2012-04-25 00:27

***I'm posting this on all non-browser games I bring up in an attempt to encourage folks to make browser games next time around. Do not take it personally.***

When hundreds of people make non-browser games, that means that, to play all of the entries, I would need to download hundreds of games to my computer. I typically use OS X, so Windows-only entries are particularly inconvenient.

Please consider making a browser game next time.

pacifistgames 2012-04-25 00:31

Not bad for a beginner. The game would really have benefited from some sound effects. I didn't even realize I was being killed.

chtulhu 2012-04-25 00:54

Yeah I made some sound effects with SFXR but I didn't have enough time to understand how sound work with Java. I'm new to Java programming so I had to learn a lot during these 48 hours.

jfroco 2012-04-25 03:32

Congrats for your first Java game :)

bubuiic 2012-04-25 17:48

Nice interpretation of the theme :-) And I love Cthulhu!

Shadow 2012-04-28 21:20

hahaah, it was fun, really. needs more polish though. It's quite nice for being your first LD. Congratulations.

tourgen 2012-04-30 22:18

hahah pretty funny and pretty good.

netmute 2012-05-01 19:49

Weee! I had so much fun! :)

DIE! STUPID HUMANS

ghribacki 2012-05-06 20:19

Awesome concept! Too bad my Cthulhu stopped growing after sometime... I really wish he was able to fill all the screen with his foot!

Good work. =)

kevinworkman 2012-05-12 04:09

Hahaha this is an awesome idea. It's a great job for a beginner, and now you have a platform to add things to, like different kinds of enemies, powerups, jumping, the works. Awesome job.

This is some self-advertising, but you might consider using the free Java hosting I offer at http://StaticVoidGames.com. I'm working on adding game development tutorials to the site, and we'd love to have you!
