That fullscreen thing is caused by Game Maker 6.1 being buggy, I guess. I was actually making a 320x240 windowed mode, but the image wasn't scaled correctly and I didn't want to waste too much time fixing it (which would require some workaround).
Its still not true that the game is fullscreen-only, though. You can toggle windowed mode with F4 and then resize the window by hand.
Sorry about that! Fixing immediately.
The problem with the cut-off edges should be fixed now. Go to the options menu or press F5 to adjust the scale.
I enjoyed it!
The first time I played, I accidentally shot an innocent bystander. The second time, I cheated by taking notes, and accidentally shot an innocent bystander.
I loved the concept, graphics, mood and gameplay. The only thing is, I wish it was longer (wich is just another way of saying how much I enjoyed this).
Surprising and clever interpretation of the theme, the innovative mechanics kept me playing to the end. I also enjoyed that the story-texts shrank with the levels.
The minimalist black/white art style works pretty well, but in my opinion the sprites don't quite fit in. That being said, this game is good enough to not even need fancy graphics. Good work!
I like this mechanic, it's very innovative and feels right. As you progress through the games stages and the screen fills with hydrogen atoms, the gameplay gets pretty chaotic and uncontrollable. Maybe add some helium or even bigger atoms?
This is one of the best soundtracks this LD! Graphics were nice too, only the goal (300 kills) is a bit high. Once you got a hang of the bullet dodging, it resolves in a lot of grinding.
I liked the pixel art and the general concept. Maybe you should add some difficulty (and a way to lose).
Through the continuous growth of the player character this game gives you an impressive feeling of super-human power.
I would have liked some more interactivity and a proper ending. But nice theme-interpretation: when you are huge, the world becomes tiny. Funny to see those tiny mortals trying to stop a Grat Old One.

Very nice athmosphere. I didn't collect all of the nightmares but I found the secret ending.
I tossed some goats into the meat grinder, punched others to tiny bits and laughed like a maniac.

As I lay dying in the darkest of forests, where no living thing can ever be, a haunting melody sent shivers up my spine. And I beheld, half in terror half in admiration, the witch dancing around the ashen trees like a wild beast. I would be her supper tonight. I could see it in her mad, cat-like eyes.

Interesting twist on the classic brakout. I love how the screen is rotated so you have to figure out the directions every time. Confusing, but in a good way.
Really nice game. Difficulty is very well balanced.
I think some people get stuck on 1-5, because it is not so clear that you can highjump. Also, the keyboard controls are a bit tedious.
But I really enjoyed this game. Good job!

The cutscenes look and sound fantastic! I wish the plasma effect and drone sound would stay throughout the whole game. They really set up an amazing athmosphere.

Probably my favourite game of this LD. Highscore: 1/12, but I'm not done with this yet!
The game is amazing, gets my adrenaline pumping by the time I reach lvl 3. Good pacing, cool patterns to dodge. Would give 5 stars in fun for sure.
A few things I would fix for future update:
- Bombs start spawnig bofore the transition-effect wears off. Sometimes you're dead before you can see again.
- Fullscreen would be very much appreciated.
- Add an alternative dash button. Its the most important button and my pinkie is not ready for that kind of resposibility. How about space bar, maybe?
- Include all keys in the help-screen. J, K, L and R are not documented there. A minor issue, but it might confuse some players.
The powerups appear kind of useless to me, considering they take away precious stamina needed for dashing. But then again, I haven't reached the skill ceiling yet - maybe I will find good uses for them yet.
