@Kharza
Lol yea, I had to keep both hands on the spacebar or I couldn't really "feel" the motion right. Simple but great game ;)

The inspiration for the game came from many places, but yea the terrain generator I made was based on the minecraft terrain generator. Although mine is a bit buggier.
Updated it:
Added: Scrollable item list (there's only 3 possible items though)
Added: Hotbar. Assign items by selecting them then doing Ctrl + (0-9)
Changed: The mouse controls the drection you place/remove the block
Changed: The keyboard no longer rotates the player
Fixed: Player was able to place blocks outside the bounds on the Z axis
Note: You can place any placeable (not a word?) block in mid-air, including the crop which is kind of weird
Haha, made a mistake, I said something wrong. The keyboard does rotate the camera but only when holding shift.
The reason it lacks gameplay is because I spent most of the time trying to wrap my head around how I to place/remove/use all these different items with my unfinished terrain generator. I hadn't tried to make a full-on terrarian crafting system before either so that took my quite a bit of time. I was also using the Pro Trial which I'm out of now so even if I did continue with this, it'd look so ugly that'd you'd wanna tear your eyes out with a hot spoon.
Nice, but the movement speed is way too fast for comprehension. I died at the coin that is above the spikes because there's no way to time it.
@Follett - The physics seem to be a bit buggy in Unity when it comes to the terrain. If you try rolling up some of the steep hills you may notice that you don't roll back down all that fast. It might have something to do with me using Torque to move the player rather than pushing it using Forces. I tried not to make the player level too fast but not too slow because there are so few enemies.
@xk - How exactly are the controls unresponsive? There is a skybox when the arena sphere is destroyed.
@Mayto - Multiplayer would be fun but I tend to stay away from it when coding, at least until I've got every single feature in the game worked out.
@matthias_zarzecki - I was trying to give it a linear-path sort of feel without taking TOO much time doing it.

There's the link to the actual webplayer. I had renamed the "Windows" slot to Web and put the link in there and that was a bad idea. It's not letting me edit the page right now for whatever reason.
Fixed the link up top
Look down when you first start ;)
@iiAtlas
I was running out of time and didn't see the animation glitch till the last minute. It only happened to me on the very last time I tried to test the game. Also I'm not sure why it could be running slowly for you because there's not a whole lot going on inside the game for that to happen.
@WiseGAMER
There's so much I wanted to do with this. I wanted to add upgrades and a point system but I was dealing with bug-after-bug and was running out of time.
@matthias_zarzecki
The arms were using an IK script to move them at first but that started bugging out. I added animation later which worked but it stops playing for unknown reasons. The shacks are a free model on Unity's asset store (I needed something quick). I was originally going to make it look like some middle-eastern place with mud houses (is that what they're made out of?).
I tried, I just wish I had more time.
Thank you all for your honest opinions and ratings ;) Hopefully the next game will be better.
Neat game but like it has been said already, it doesn't really fit the theme. Also, I figured out what you were supposed to see in the end. I won't spoil it though.
Distance: 5402
Goats: 14
Score: 81030
Fits the theme! Also, when it gets faster you should focus on the foreground rather than the background. It helps a lot.
Nicely done!
@ronsho Did you get the sword first? If you did then I don't know what to say, I use Windows.
@Meep I wanted players to "learn" what to do on their own after realizing that they can't get past the first enemy.
@SaintHeiser and Maravian (first post)
Yea, after you beat the big purple boss that's the end. You can then proceed to attack the princess as much as you want, lol.
I'd love to make a bigger version of this game although I absolutely SUCK at level design. I used ProBuilder to build the single level that's in this and that would help me make more but how on earth do you come up with lots of levels? It probably needs a story first, then everything else will fall into place....
I'm working on a story for this game and try to make it into a full game.
Any updates I'll post here https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gib-Treaty-Projects/338181696279416?ref=hl
Use the middle mouse button to toggle mouse lock which allows you to turn. There are buttons on the screen that you can press so the turning needs to be turned off when the cursor isn't locked to the screen.
I'd change it so you can click on the screen for it to lock but I don't think I'm allowed to change anything during the voting time.
intripoon - Excuse me, but what is this shield you speak of? Besides that, the Restart skill can only be activated by pressing the button. I couldn't decide what key Restart should be set to since Revive was set to R.
juaxix - At the end of the linear path ;)
Will Edwards - Yes I realized yesterday that not every machine has a middle mouse button so it would literally be impossible, sorry about that. I'd fix it if it wasn't against the rules to do so.
Added quite a bit, including a Medium Difficulty tier. There's only one map for medium difficulty but I'm trying to think of some more levels to make (I suck at level design so it'll take me awhile). Once you reach the medium tier, that unlocks the second grenade type which you can use in previous levels.
@Brad1809
Yea it's just an extra sandbox level.
Some of the levels (I have tested all of them multiple times) I did intentionally keep in some way of grenade jumping rather than solving the puzzle. If you didn't know how to grenade jump, that feeling that you get when you figure it out and can completely skip the puzzle is awesome so I left it in there.
Pretty cool. For your first LD it's not too bad. The follow mechanics work well. I did see what seemed like a bug, the player isn't completely reset when you press the reset button. You remain transparent.
-Added fog in the Dream levels
-Added a stat panel for each weapon in the weapon selection area
-Added enemies in Real Level 2
-Adjusted how enemies attack
Thanks for your comments!
@esayitch Yes there's music. I've made its volume lower than that of the slime's moving sound so you can actually hear it over the music. You may need to turn up the volume.
Sorry about the lack of content, the ideas all started coming together a bit late. I got the main idea nearly right off the bat but it was going to be an FPS at first. FPS games tend to require bigger levels so I scrapped that. I chose a smaller type of game but with the same game mechanics. The problem was that happened probably 10-12 hours into the jam so I didn't have near as much time as I needed to put everything together AND make levels.
Looks great and reminds me of Fallout 3/New Vegas.
I found a bug. If you go to the well where the "Last Rock Needed" is located, you can get unlimited Full Water Bottles.
Humor was actually the only category I had deselected, the site must've bugged. It should be fixed now.
Also they are meant to be robots.
Well that escalated quickly. Very challenging, couldn't get past the third level. Awesome graphics and game mechanics!
Wow that was genius. At times it seemed like some of the puzzles were impossible but then I figured it out. Very satisfying.
