Really awesome, but WAY too hard!

The Tourist by FunkyDelPueblo 2012-05-08T06:01:00

Was there an objective? Or is it just an agonizingly slow way to draw pixel art?

Jar file didn't run for me. On an iMac.

Planet ZOOB by Pacifist Games 2012-04-24T20:30:00

Pretty cool. I love the concept. I really wish he shot straight up though, it was frustrating trying to aim just a little to the side and all of the sudden be shooting in a completely different direction. Of course there might have been a button to let me do that and I just didn't know about it.

A Pale Blue Dot by ronkmonster 2012-05-05T20:55:00

I would play if you had a Web or OSX version.

Planet Master by Dakota 2012-05-08T05:46:00

Wow. Having to run a GBA emulator seems like a really high barrier to entry. I didn't know what keys did what and once the menu appeared, I couldn't get rid of it.

ineptia by Sodaware 2012-05-08T05:40:00

Really cool idea.

Spaceship In The Sky With Colors by fysx 2012-05-08T05:56:00

Wow. That was confusing. For a long time it seemed my deaths were completely random.

Le Petit by Pixelulsar 2012-04-28T03:16:00

How much room do you need to build a driller!?

Flight of the Ladybug by robcozzens 2012-04-23T04:55:00

Thanks for the feedback!
I agree that it could use some more elements and I have a lot of ideas for things to add... I just didn't get it all in yet.

Flight of the Ladybug by robcozzens 2012-04-24T05:25:00

Thanks for all the great feedback! There should be sound... maybe I didn't have it loud enough--I didn't want it to be overpowering.

Flight of the Ladybug by robcozzens 2012-04-28T03:38:00

Thanks very much. I hope to add more elements to the game after the voting is over.
@jeffz the music is original. I used cgMusic to generate midi and then Garage Band to render it out to an mp3 with decent instruments.

Flight of the Ladybug by robcozzens 2012-05-02T09:10:00

Thanks everyone! I hope to add some more to it soon.

Flight of the Ladybug by robcozzens 2012-05-06T01:52:00

Montezuma's Tomb by recursor 2012-05-08T06:27:00

I like having the whole level on one screen, but it was much too difficult to control.

I Should Clean My Keyboard by cmo7 2012-04-29T10:01:00

Pretty fun too, but a little too chaotic.

Even Tiny Worlds... by homnom 2012-05-11T03:21:00

Where was a trying to go? And were those giant blue balls hurting me?

Zilla the Destroyer by deps 2012-05-11T03:31:00

I didn't realize that you could rotate the head at first. The controls in general could be improved. Also, some indication that you are damaging would be nice... health bar on destructibles or something. Walking into a building should damage it... it could damage you as well.

Nano Strike by Qaterknan 2012-04-28T03:36:00

Wow. It looks like you put a LOT of work into this, but I had no idea what was going on.

Cat Planet by shaunxcode 2012-04-25T08:47:00

What was I supposed to be doing?

I would try it if you had a Web or OSX version.

Pocket Strife by josefnpat 2012-05-11T04:54:00

Might I suggest since the only thing you can place at first is a territory flag, that it be selected when you start. I spent a lot of time randomly clicking and pressing keys.

Wary Forestall by ArchaiosFiniks 2012-05-06T00:37:00

I had no idea what was going on.

In a Lonely Sea of Stars by Ben 2012-05-06T00:48:00

I'm not sure if you know what self-explanatory means ;-). I can't make any progress at all. If I build the defense turret first, I don't make any money to build anything else. If I build the harvester first, the pirates keep me from making more than $100... not enough to build anything... What am I missing?

Disastronaut by Jeffalisk 2012-05-11T05:00:00

I would try it if you had a Web or OSX version.

My version of OSX isn't up to date enough.

Green War on Earth by Rokaydev 2012-05-11T05:00:00

You have pretty good jumping mechanics.
But the second level didn't require any jumping.
And in the second level, you have the background scrolling faster than the foreground--it hurts my eyes!

Quantum Entanglement by icefallgames 2012-05-11T03:31:00

I would try it if you had a Web or OSX version.

Tiny Island by Zathnic 2012-04-24T09:01:00

How are you supposed to get past level 3? Is there a way to push 2 blocks? Or is there something you can do besides pushing blocks?

Oh No, Tiny Rover! by decultured 2012-05-06T08:38:00

That's really good. The controls feel right which is really important to me.

I'm sure you realize that it would benefit from a score and indication of damage. It would also be nice if there was a reason for jumping... maybe bonuses that float above the surface.

Chubeh Bunneh by derrickdool 2012-04-25T20:41:00

That was quite funny! The goal wasn't really reflected in the goal though. Maybe the score should count down so that the quicker you get fat, the higher your score.

Fort in the Woods by pkdawson 2012-05-06T01:02:00

I would play it, but I'm on an iMac.

Dusty by DWallin 2012-05-06T01:02:00

Didn't want to install Love... sorry.

Copulous by keely 2012-04-23T07:35:00

The red coin should appear sooner. I almost quit right before it showed up... I wouldn't have known how funny your game was.

I would try it if there was a Web or OSX version.

Macro Marines by JonathanG 2012-05-10T07:52:00

boing SMASH by dokidoki 2012-04-26T04:45:00

Predicament by orangepascal 2012-04-23T08:36:00

Perfect old school adventure. Most of the puzzles are funny and don't make any sense at all... but because the level is so small, it doesn't take long to stumble on the solution.
In full-size adventures I always worried that I missed some small thing hours earlier.

Whoa... that went from "this is so easy it's boring" to "I can't figure this out for the life of me" in one level!
I think with a more gradual difficulty curve it could be awesome. It's a fantastic concept.

Nook by PoV 2012-05-01T02:10:00

Wowzers! That was fantastic! My only complaint is I prefer to have the jump button separate from the movement buttons. And it would be cool if you could wall jump while small.

INSANE MEGASNAIL PENETRATION by SukiSan 2012-04-24T06:38:00

T in Y World by Tom 7 2012-04-25T04:21:00

Super Orbit Worlds by Jhelle 2012-04-28T03:10:00

Fantastic! Almost perfect. Just the right amount of added elements to the simple gameplay device of avoiding random obstacles.
I couldn't tell if you got a score bonus for having additional planets orbiting you, but I think that would be a good idea.
I think some other graphic for the cursor would be good... I kind of think a sun, but that might be weird with the planet being as big as it... and you would expect it to destroy the asteroids.

Alien Punch! by dcolgan 2012-05-02T19:26:00

That's pretty cool. Does it ever end? Or do aliens keep coming forever?
It seems like knocking a UFO into the sun should destroy it.

Desire by zazery 2012-04-25T04:41:00

BTW, I'm on an iMac and tried it in Safari and Chrome.

Save the World by Derek 2012-05-10T09:05:00

Pretty cool idea. Although it doesn't really make sense that going off the screen would kill you.

Nano Ascension by mikelovesrobots3 2012-04-28T06:34:00

OMG! That was amazing. It's hard to believe you made that in 48hours.
I agree that the camera caused some problems.
I also didn't see that you could hold shift to run, and it felt like the difficulty was just right... you might want to drop that feature.

Little Locations by Nolan C 2012-05-10T08:56:00

Whoa! That was about as perfect as you can get!
Normally I would say you should have a jump button separate from the movement buttons, but for some reason this felt right.
I loved that you never die, you just fall into the next world. And I also like starting at the beginning of the level... it reminded me of the old school games.
I really can't think of anything to improve it... maybe add music?

The scoring was a little confusing, but it was still fun.

Minikin by tummyache 2012-04-27T21:29:00

Holy Moly! Excellent!
My only complaint is that the first section where you're just fighting slimes was too long. I thought that was all I was going to do and I almost quit.
I'm glad I didn't though. You had a full adventure game in there! I LOL when I got the final enormous sword. Great! Great! Great!

Wirepair by CaptainIcy 2012-05-11T03:16:00

Cool idea, but this type of game really benefits from tight controls... i think even a quick tap of the left key should take you directly to the left wire, etc.

CursorVsMan by monkeymad2 2012-05-05T06:28:00

Super cool idea. I felt cheated though... I had carefully and slowly built up the user's anger and right when I had him, his suspicion jumped through the roof!

Green Invasion by Kableado 2012-05-05T05:46:00

The way I understand it, a 'Web' link to a web page that lets you download a Windows version of the game isn't really a 'Web' link.

Cool. This has a LOT of potential. It could be great if you fixed a few things: it was a little hard to move for one--pressing forward should probably move you forward but at the same height above the ground, not straight into the ground.

A bit too much going on for how briefly I can play each game, but on the other hand--that is ridiculously impressive! I might have to play it some more when I have more time.

Invasion Of Tiny World by gregdevice 2012-04-25T04:35:00

Awesome look.
I'm not sure I figured out the game play though. It seemed like I just slowly walked by directly placing each step (smashing things along the way) and after awhile I would die. I couldn't figure out what I could attempt to do better.

Molecules by m4c0 2012-05-08T04:29:00

This is great! With a little tweaking, it could be a top notch educational game. You could add in a mode where they need to identify molecules.
And especially for a sandbox type mode, it would be cool to add an indication of how many more bonds an atom can form.

Gene Jumble by ae12687 2012-09-09T19:13:00

That was a very cool idea for a puzzler.
I think it has the potential for a full-blown game.
If each puzzle had a limited set of moves you could make... one puzzle could have 3 swaps, 2 flips, and one splice or something.
The you could build up too... start the game with only one type of move and add moves as you progress.

Great work with the theme! This could pass as being educational.
The level in your screenshot is a good way to illustrate the principal of gradual change.

UPix by Xaychru 2012-08-30T23:57:00

I would try it if you had a Web version.
The video certainly looks cool.

Crab by Mayto 2012-08-27T08:16:00

I would try it, but there is no Web version.

blob by pknowles 2012-08-27T05:09:00

In Safari it couldn't create the GL context or something.

My Time by GamesByZed 2012-09-09T18:45:00

Not really my cup of tea.

One Day To Breed by Hazel 2012-09-09T18:11:00

Great job!

Slime World by Lancelot Gao 2012-08-27T04:07:00

Color me impressed!

kernel exception by ratking 2012-08-28T19:12:00

Fantastic graphics!

What's All The Rush For by batiali 2012-08-28T19:07:00

That was really polished! Great job.

Empire of the Petri Dish by quadtree 2012-09-14T05:48:00

It sure looks cool, but I'm not sure I was playing it correctly. It's hard to figure out.

Megavolve by mokesmoe 2012-08-27T04:23:00

I wasn't able to play it since you didn't have a web or a Mac version.

R/evolution by AdamHarte 2012-08-27T05:08:00

Very fun.
There are some glitches when you are about to fall off, but other than that, it played really well!

The Path for Evolution by DavidErosa 2012-08-27T05:27:00

I think you're going to have to say what you think qualifies as forming an 'E'.

MJT Evolution by K1NET1K 2012-08-27T05:35:00

I can appreciate how much effort went into all the different drawings.

Microbe Madness! by Matt Rix 2012-09-18T20:47:00

That was great!

Complexitivity by Accidental Rebel 2012-09-13T03:17:00

I didn't notice the tie-in to the theme, but it was an excellent and fun game!

Darwin Skirmish by panzermancer 2012-08-27T06:30:00

I would try it, but there is no Web version.

Cellular Division 101 by MasterBaldwin 2012-08-27T05:36:00

I wasn't able to play it since you didn't have a web or a Mac version.

Super Genome: Hyper Evolution Turbo Edition by Raptor85 2012-08-27T06:29:00

I would try it, but there is no Web version.

Poggle Island by Rose 2012-09-10T23:28:00

Pretty cool man!

Species by mappum 2012-09-09T18:41:00

That was pretty creepy! Great job!
The ladders were tougher to use than they should have been.

Harvest Doom by superstu 2012-08-27T08:09:00

Overall, really good.
A little clearer instructions would help.
Maybe show entire inventory across the top and highlight which is active.
Also, the watering can should last more than one use.

Pink Swarm Evolution by DomNomNom 2012-08-27T05:42:00

What a fascinating CA! Almost every starting pattern flows away or explodes!

Evolve Larry by gregdevice 2012-09-13T03:06:00

That was really cool, but man it would be easier on a touch screen!

Evoland by ncannasse 2012-09-13T02:36:00

That was amazing!
Like anything, there are a lot of tweaks that could be made, but considering the time-retraint it was fantastic!
One thing that should have been changed was the text should stay onscreen longer.

Dinolution by The Evil Cult 2012-08-30T19:50:00

That was great!
There were a couple minor glitches, but overall it was really fun.

Kitten Mate by Canard Sauvage 2012-09-14T06:00:00

Seems like a pretty cool idea. It would benefit from some polish of course... almost all LD48 games would.

LD25 — You are the Villain

Shadow Possession by LaughingLeader 2012-12-19T21:49:00

That is really cool! Worked on my Mac.

LD26 — Minimalism

Minimal Shooter by robcozzens 2013-05-03T22:53:00

Those are a lot of great suggestions! Thanks!

Neo-Minimalism by Enneract 2013-05-01T05:02:00

Very cool idea, but I have to say that this type of game plays a lot better with a 3rd person view.

Brushman by Digital Apathy by notepid 2013-04-30T16:19:00

Excellent!
The controls of the brush could have been a little bit tighter, but not much.

Illumbox by TylerC 2013-04-29T05:29:00

Great use of the theme.
It seemed to be moving really slowly... I don't know if it's just a problem on my computer or if it's supposed to be that slow.

Planes by phaze0 2013-05-01T05:14:00

Ah yeah. I remember having games like this.
Thank you!

People by BenW 2013-05-03T08:11:00

That was beautiful!
By far the most meaningful entry I've played... it's like the game version of a good poem.

Abide by xel 2013-04-29T05:38:00

Pretty cool idea.
My only complaint is that sometimes it wasn't clear if my solution was wrong or if the game wasn't understanding my solution because something was missing its hit target.
For instance when arranging the colors of the rainbow it didn't accept my solution although it was in the order of the rainbow and I also tried reversing it...
I couldn't tell if the game didn't know the order I had the colors in, or if I was supposed to guess your favorite ordering of colors.

Unknown by runonthespot 2013-04-30T16:08:00

Fantastic!
That's a very clever spin on the matching puzzle genre.

LD26 Crimson Tide by Neurolabe 2013-04-29T06:13:00

This seems like it was a really ambitious idea for 48hrs. It would probably benefit a lot from a tutorial (it would probably be allowed to make a video tutorial and link it in the description).

Pink Haze by jwin 2013-04-30T17:10:00

Pretty cool!

minsweeper by Attrition 2013-05-05T17:42:00

Cool idea.
I didn't feel like I was getting any better at it though... on each encounter it was pretty random who would die.

Tech Troop Tim's Big Pay Day by Guardian_Bob 2013-04-29T05:44:00

That is insane!
Really cool idea... much harder than I expected.

Illumination by Alic Szecsei 2013-04-29T04:57:00

I'm not sure if I experienced it correctly. After a lot of trying I finally made it to the light and it said Game Over.
I don't know if that means that I beat the game or lost.

Nova Jump : A Space Adventure by savethejets1 2013-05-03T08:00:00

That was a really cool idea.

A Walk in the Dark by LittleGreenFlame 2013-05-01T05:31:00

It was too slow-moving for me.

The Rules Are Simple... by saampahlavan 2013-05-01T21:05:00

Wow that got hard!
Awesome though!

Potato Dungeon by _Rilem 2013-05-09T19:24:00

That was fantastic!!
I can't believe how complete it felt for being created in such a short time!
And I love how you would introduce new controls by having the player tell his horse what he was going to do.

Minyrinth by crazynito 2013-04-29T05:49:00

Pretty good.
I feel like your guy should move a little bit faster... not much though.

Jetpack Cube Man by TrentSterling 2013-04-29T05:58:00

That is really cool.
The main thing that it is missing is increasing difficulty.

Bonk by tove 2013-05-01T04:01:00

What a cool idea!
I'm terrible at it though!

The Sentient Cube by Omiya Games 2013-04-30T16:49:00

Really cool.
I wish you could control the camera directly though.

OZE by BigBlackBeard 2013-04-29T06:01:00

That is really good. The controls are pretty much perfect... which is very important in a game like that!

Barren Universe by Tom Gardiner 2013-05-18T06:45:00

That was amazing!
Although, it was way too difficult... I felt like I wasn't even close to beating the volcano.

Velocibox by invi 2013-04-29T05:25:00

Really good!
My only complaint is that when you rotate to the wall on the right it rotates -270 instead of 90... you end up in the same place, but it is needlessly disorientating.

Escape from the Tower by Luxorix 2013-05-01T04:20:00

That was great!
I like this style of game and you made a fantastic example of it.
The doors opening as you walk by is a cool and unique element.

I really think you could finish this up and make some money from it.

Be The Wind by dstozek 2013-04-30T00:11:00

That was beautiful!

I only wish that the trees were affected by the wind.

You Don't Belong Here by Kinzata 2013-05-04T01:09:00

That was pretty cool.
The controls felt a little sluggish, but that did make it challenging.

Milo's Bridge by Adjotur 2013-04-29T05:04:00

Pretty cool idea.
The jumping animation could use some improvement... (using acceleration instead of just velocity)
The bridge health never lowered even though bad guys got to it.

The Side Factor by zazery 2013-05-01T05:28:00

Looks like it would be really cool, but it's hard to get into the strategy when I'm playing against myself.

Mini Hero by sharbelfs 2013-04-30T05:43:00

That was pretty cool, but the difficulty was pretty low for the first few and then almost impossible... for me at least.

Spheres by fueelin 2013-04-29T04:52:00

I installed it, but when I double-clicked on it nothing happened... no error message or anything.

Balls Balls Balls by matthias_zarzecki 2013-05-07T21:35:00

Pretty cool.

Improbable by mokesmoe 2013-04-29T05:10:00

That's pretty cool doing a text based game. That certainly fits with minimalism.
Unfortunately there didn't seem to be many choices for as far as I went... the links pretty much amounted to clicking 'next'.

Press Z by netguy204 2013-05-01T04:29:00

There's a lot of good stuff in such a minimal package. I really like how the red rectangles push each other and you.
The speed of the jumping seemed just about perfect.

Compositions by Cyborg771 2013-05-04T19:02:00

This is fantastic!
So simple.
And instead of getting a high score you get to make art!

The Law Of Ninjutsu by bushmango 2013-05-01T04:35:00

Interesting use of the theme.

Tana by oldtopman 2013-05-01T04:41:00

Love the ASCII art... not sure I was playing it correctly though.
After awhile it said something like "thanks for playing" and I couldn't continue.

Alien Raid by LTyrosine 2013-05-01T03:56:00

Looks cool.
But not super clear what to do.

Glow by LeReveur 2013-05-01T04:47:00

That's a pretty cool and original idea. Would have been really nice to play against the computer instead of myself.

MiniFPX by KhaoTom 2013-04-29T05:19:00

That was fantastic!
Great atmosphere and the controls were quite polished.
I wanted it to go on longer!

MBlok by tSwitch 2013-05-04T01:14:00

Very nice!
It's a good twist on this type of game and it fits the theme perfectly.

MIN by s0ulcrusher 2013-05-07T21:38:00

The web player doesn't work for me on Mac.

there was a knock by Thanat0s 2013-05-01T03:52:00

Interesting idea.
There was a bit too much to keep track of all at the same time for me though.

Colourless: The Deeds Of Evil Mr. Mono! by bb_buster 2013-05-01T04:53:00

Interesting idea and cool graphics and stuff, but not being able to strafe makes it too frustrating for me.

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

First Person Platformer by robcozzens 2014-04-29T01:30:00

Darn it!
I had a problem like that a few days ago... a Unity file would work on some browsers but on others it said I needed to install the Web Player.
If I can find anything that helps, I'll update my file.

First Person Platformer by robcozzens 2014-04-29T04:57:00

I'm not getting a 404... at least not now. There were a few minutes when the link was broken, but should be ok now.

Wormhunter by Thorig 2014-05-09T01:57:00

Really cool!

Drip by savethejets1 2014-04-30T03:59:00

Pretty cool.
But the controls were a little tough... you'd keep moving further than expected after releasing key.

Deepeon by HacksawUnit 2014-04-30T01:58:00

That was really cool. And very creepy!

The Pond by SunShiranui 2014-04-30T02:33:00

Sweeeeet!
So peaceful and pleasant.

Beneath the Surface by praporomsk 2014-05-04T00:00:00

Pretty cool.

Under Warranty by kidder 2014-05-04T17:30:00

Pretty sweet.
And very cool idea.

The Sunken City by petrocket 2014-04-30T02:17:00

Well, the screenshot looks awesome!

Neath by metkis 2014-04-30T02:04:00

That was fantastic! Amazing graphics, sound, and gameplay!

"It's all Ogre now" by nozzergaming 2014-04-30T04:27:00

I'm not quite sure what I was supposed to do...

Tiny Haunt by rojo 2014-04-30T02:24:00

Pretty fun

Bitmite Blitz by Coin Flip Games 2014-04-30T02:10:00

Nice! Very addictive.

My only complaint is that the mouse sensitivity seemed too high.

Planitia by TheZiggy 2014-05-03T03:48:00

That is really cool. Nice simple mechanic.

sunken by pragmascript 2014-04-30T02:14:00

Amazing!
That seems super polished for just a few hours!!

Army of Gnone by cambrian_era 2014-05-04T00:08:00

Fantastic! Really cleaver game mechanic.
