LD23 — Tiny World

Good work! I especially like the graphics, but the gameplay is very innovative. Awesome how you put up a good balanced strategy aspect in less than 48 hours

Graphics are excellent!

Looks cool, but I don't know how to control it. Arrow keys and clicking don't seem to work. I'm holding off on rating it until I figure out how to control it as it looks promising

Minor Deities by maranas 2012-04-23T11:42:00

@tentontoon: no prob, thanks for rating. the goal really is to keep a good balance between intelligence (scientific knowledge) and belief, so people won't be too greedy to wage war, or too faithful to have conflicting beliefs. You also have to make sure your people survive natural disasters by making them learn from experience. E.g. If you send a tornade before they have learned to built stone houses, they die.

This is the most fun I've played so far. Great work!

I like it when the entry really tries to play to the theme, and not around it. Creating an awesome platformer with a "tiny world" sprite sheet is awesome, but innovating on gameplay to meet the theme requirements takes a lot more, IMO. Thanks for this. I miss SimAnt :))

Congratulations Doc, it's a shrink ray! by De10ter 2012-04-25T02:40:00

Nice, the concept is interesting and very funny. I'd like to see where you take the idea in the future - it definitely has potential to turn into a platform-y puzzle game with the "shrink" mechanic.

Nice use of HTML5!
