I like the fact that I don't hurt them, I just make them infinitely small :P

evgis 2012-04-23 12:41

Original and fun, a toy!

sdwil2k5 2012-04-23 12:41

Good idea to have them shrink. LOL at jumping on them to squash them dead, a squishy sound effect for that would have been awesome!

andrew-2 2012-04-23 13:04

I walked right through the wall on the building to the right and couldn't go back, I like the nonviolent weapon though I was half expecting to be able to crush them underfoot.

de10ter 2012-04-23 15:16

Thanks all.
@Andrew, yeah that's one of the known bugs unfortunately.
Proper collision detection was a pain right up to the end but to my knowledge that particular spot is the only place it has game breaking effect :/

danvil 2012-04-23 15:48

Nice game and nice idea! I like jumping on their heads.

kane 2012-04-23 16:18

Original and fun,I like it !

mikesoylu 2012-04-23 16:59

Haha damn ninjas!

cobrajs 2012-04-23 22:54

Cool concept, but it needs more sound effects, I think. It is fun to shrink the ninjas, though!

jaj 2012-04-23 22:54

Yes, being able to shrink ninja's makes up for a lot ;)
Loved the text too.

robcozzens 2012-04-24 08:04

Hilarious!

de10ter 2012-04-24 14:00

Thanks for all the positive comments guys! :D

jrasmussen24 2012-04-24 19:09

That game mechanic is spectacular. You should expand upon this base :). Also (I think my comments for most games say this) add in some bouncy background music to match the atmosphere!

lacutis 2012-04-24 19:14

I loved the mechanic. This could definitely be expanded into a full game.

captainicy 2012-04-24 19:15

Pretty cool! Nice idea, and I like the art style.

Yes, it has bugs, and no, there's no ending, and yes, the level is very short, but all in all, not bad. A fun little game and if you were to continue developing it I think it could really become something spectacular. :D

zorf 2012-04-24 20:00

Cool game. A bit hard to control with the keyboard+mouse combo, but overall really good.

jacic 2012-04-24 21:11

Shrink ray: A staple of every (mad) scientist. :)

castor 2012-04-24 21:45

This is pretty cool. I'd like to see a full game of this for sure.

dacap 2012-04-25 02:34

lol really fun. Some kind of hard to jump and walk with the same hand, but you did a good job. +1 for the screenplay :D

eburn184 2012-04-25 02:40

Pretty cool mechanic. Sure it is just shooting a gun, but making it a shrink ray makes it much more fun! Nice job

maranas 2012-04-25 02:40

Nice, the concept is interesting and very funny. I'd like to see where you take the idea in the future - it definitely has potential to turn into a platform-y puzzle game with the "shrink" mechanic.

de10ter 2012-04-25 16:44

Thanks guys.
I'm definately feeling inspired to continue this game. Not sure whether I'd look to truely explore the depths of the shrinking (more enemies, puzzles etc) or else spice it up with other the other obvious rays (ice ray, disintegration ray etc)
But either way I'm looking forward to this as my next project one I find the time :)

chinchang 2012-04-25 17:42

was fun shrinking the enemies. nice job!

buffalophil 2012-04-26 22:18

SUBATOMIC!

greg20man 2012-04-27 03:48

I wish 'w' was to jump rather than space but other than that great game :D

tentontoon 2012-04-28 15:29

"Ninjas! I suppose that was inevitable"
Brilliant! XD

Being able to shrink your enemies to different sizes is cool, but I half expected to be able to make them disappear altogether. Or crush them under my pacifist boot a la Duke Nukem.
Also, you can't jump higher than a ninja - it's a proven fact :D

I'd say go for it: finish this game :)

dainvadda 2012-05-01 17:53

Yea finish it! Its a very cool idea. The collisions seem to be a bit off though.

hume 2012-05-08 00:37

Loved it!!!

However, I will never get over the feeling that hundreds of microscopic ninjas are crawling all over me and poking me in the endoplasmic reticulum.

Oh man. I gotta rate this before I forget how much fun I just had.

julianspillane 2012-05-10 19:38

It was definitely fun shrinking enemies. I think you have a solid mechanic on your hands, you just need to develop it.
