@wally2069: thanks for spoiling.
Nice idea and i like the design! Didn't got if my guys actually follow me or not.
Game crashes if I press a key ... (Windows 7 / 64 bit)
Having to install pythong is a bit annoying. Won't rate.
Cute game and fun gameplay. These round shooting things killed me all too often - aargh!
Having sound when eating planets would have been sooo cool :)
I tried like 348 times to come up the S shaped spiked corridor with the yellow jump pads and then quit in rage *hrgh*
The game should be a bit more forgiving. Also I missed the relation to the theme and did not hear sound/music.
Also like how it fits on one screen like an ant box. Controls are a bit weired. I have problems jumping left and right.
I like ant games! Ant movement was a bit strange and necessary information is a bit hidden in the interface.
Hey, nice little game.
Nice game concept! A minimap would habe been helpful.
Did not see the connection to the theme ...
One of the best LD entries I played so far! Found it a bit difficult to visually distinguish shrines and workplaces.
Couldn't buy any items ...
Great game! Really enjoyed controloing them both! Found it a bit annoying that Timmy could not walk on Bill's arm.
I like the voxel world and the particle effects and it is fun to destroy the planet. Audio would have been great and gameplay is a bit limited. Powers which strengthen each other or are good against different layers of the planets could have been an option.
Very much liked the idea and how you implemented it! However I missed the eXterminate aspect of a typical 4X Civilization game.
Nice! The controls needs getting used to.
Nice little game. Like the planet hopping.
I like the idea of indirect control. Choices are a bit limited. Got stuck at level 3 - couldn't build any further down.
Very innovative!
I missed reference to the theme, also controls are a bit frustrating.
Good effort and I like the graphics. The scrolling is annoying. To make it an actual game I would first simplify (politics/religions?) and then add an actual loosing condition. So perhaps four nations should be played by the AI?
Very well done! Liked the intense atmosphere. I would have wished for a bit more closure at the end.
Liked the turning cube but missed basic predictability of combat results.
I like the graphics a lot! There should be more levels.
Really like this one - especially the exploration of what you can do! Controls where a bit annoying (rotating when mouse is over the build icons and planet rotation).
Nice idea with indirect control, but game is to fast to figure out all the steps to survive.
I like the graphics and the minimalistic gameplay. Could not make the final jump up the trees to get the coins in the cloud.
Funny! Why are there no people running around >:O
Nice little game!
I planned to add some kind of ingame feedback about the progress one makes, but ran out of time. Be sure to find the two extra weapons beside the sword.
Nice little game. I liked the graphics and the girlfriend ;) Got bored after some time ...
Funny setting with the little ships (?). They are a bit hard to control though.
Did I miss the reference to the theme? Graphics are ok.
I very much like the music soundtrack! Solid gameplay.
The game is too hard... Especially the cats who follow over the whole map.
Ha, this was funny! Not sure if I understand what I did ;) Audio quality is bad.
Very much like simulation games like this one! They are not easy to balance correctly.
Nice game and nice idea! I like jumping on their heads.
Nice idea but I found it tiresome after a short while. Especially finding 4 pixel villagers was tedious.
Indirect control is funny and I like your little game, but I wasn't sure if my box markings had any effect at all.
Nice visuals, so I keep dying...
Good game with well done graphics.
Excellent game! Played it for a long while. Really like the sandbox evolving game mechanics. The grid is a bit confusing.
I can not run it "because the side-by-side configuration is invalide"...
It gives me an error about a missing d3dx10_43.dll :(
Well done! Reminds my of Osmos.
This game is fun :) I love the turtle breeding. Not sure if I understood how it works though. Is there a way to actually win the game?
The game crashes when I press the buttons ...
@tompudding: I have changed the poison bubble model. Perhaps it is a bit easier to distinguish them from health bubbles now :)
@brother.byto: "What makes things evolve like they do?" - Like with real evolution it is a) randomness and b) selection through pressure applied by in general the environment and in my game by the you - the player.
I can not run the game under Windows 7 64bit. It's running for a while in the background without showing any graphics and then crashes.
Thanks for the comments! I updated the controls. Did you try the rampage mode :D
This is really funny to play :)
I could not understand how the numbers are calculated, but it was fun anyway. Like the usage of mondrian :)
Nice art :D
Huh, this is a lot of green ;) I like the idea! Sometimes it seems kind of unfair.
Hey thanks for the comments! I fixed the player movement bug - this was a thing with Unity3D and physics ... Also so boss should not kill himself anymore :)
I really like the idea, but the 10 second timer is very hard...
I have no idea what is going on, but i like it :D
Very nice graphics!
This is a very good game :D I threw the queen out of the window. Very important action.
Very nice game! I like the puzzeling and some levels are really tricke.
Nice game. I love the different roles!
Nice dungeon diving game. It hangs up quite often though...
I would soo much love to see the tree growing!
The ground does not render correctly for me. It is just pitch black...
Very good!
I like the digging. It took me a while to figure out that there is rock on the grass... Perhaps it would have been more intuitive if you could dig anything right from the start but with different speeds and make digging faster with better tools. Also goodies like diamonds or gold could have added a bit direction to why and where you are digging.
This game is fun :D
Very nice game, especially the combination of platformer and snake! Solved lvl 3 with a trick ;) You should definitely create more levels for a post-combo verions.
I really love the idea, but the controls are very unintuitive. It would be much easier to drop rotation and always move away from the camera. Thus controling the movement direction with the mouse only.
Very nice art! Perhaps you want to add some more content post-combo?
I like the peaceful idea. Taking photos reminds me of Beyond Good and Evil :)
This game is really beautiful, but too frustrating... Enemies behind walls are really unfair and the back dodge seems a bit useless.
Good idea! Could use a bit more polish and better controls.
Nice little game. Collision detection is a bit buggy.
After a few seconds the game gets very slow...
You will never find a girlfriend if you dance like this ;)
My eyes hurt! Nice game for the short time though.
I love peaceful games which are not build around the usual reaction based theme. More levels please :)
Very good game! I like the aiming mechanism: if you keep the mouse near your character you can rotate quickly but inaccurately; if its further away mor accuracy and less speed.
@Empyrealhell: That seems to be a bug with itch.io :( Until I find a workaround, you can use the alternative controls: Arrow keys and F/G/H to control the hook.
Would have been even better if there would be a bigger level where you could select what to mine.
I like the psychological theme. Moving around is annoying.
The spirit of the Ludum Dare COMP is to not use prior work like Jingle Bells music.
Love it! Would be fun if cars would turn left or right :)
Sorry, I don't like to "install" stuff... Can you provide an executable which does not need to be installed?
Great gameplay, quality and an innovative idea through simplicity. Very well executed!
A java exception has occurred :(
I like that you have a super drill and don't have to dig every tile individually.
I couldn't steer - the camera was just turning around quite randomly. Maybe it's because I don't have a game pad..
Really love the particle effects for water and fire. Would just need music!
I like the mechanics of having to shoot to stay afloat. It's a nice interpretation of the theme. The music track is also well done. Maybe give the player multiple lives and rare power ups to replenish them to be a bit more forgiving.
I liked it and played to the end. You can cheese though by shooting enemies with the help of the mini map. If you are too far away they won't attack.
A nice interpretation of the theme. I like that it's different and not about shooting or suffering :) The jumping sometimes felt a bit glitchy as if the player is stuck in the wall.
Made it to 1000 on normal. I liked how you kept changing the setting while the player is falling deeper. Music was nice, too.
Very nice idea! Would be nice to see the moves it made for the solution, or to see a shorter solution in case it found one.
The time limit is a bit harsh as you can barely do anything.
Not enough diamonds!
Error 403 - This web app is stopped.
I generally don't like flipper games but your game is really fun to play.
I like the unique concept and the music is great. Gave up in the second green level.
A well rounded game. Would have been nice to get some kind of health drop to recharge.
Loved it and one of the best games this compo! The damage radius of putting down the lantern could have been a bit bigger. Then you could motivate different strategies for different monster types. An animated full screen for the ending could have been nice to bring over the last point even a bit more.
It was hard to figure out when to jump because of occasional occlusions with some chunks. I might be better if the camera scrolls sidewards with the character.
Where does all the blood come from?
Very nice game idea and graphics.
For me this is the best LD entry I have seen so far. Non-violent, not a platformer, on point with the theme, nice visual style with using basic methods, procedural systems, music and sound effects, re-playable, an end. You nailed it!
Very nice take on the theme. It's quite hard to watch all the conversations though, so I mostly clicked a random topic.
Nice idea which having two different screens. Would have been great to tie them together somehow and not make it only time based. Your intro / "tutorial" was also a bit long.
Well rounded and I like that you did music and sound effects. Maybe add some TNT!
I like the music and the pace of the game. Some of the levels are created with inaccessible areas. Might be nice to have the turrets rotate their barrels constantly when the player is out of sight to enable an ambush, and maybe change their target speed to make it a bit more forgiving.
It crashes when I press play :(
Great idea!
I can't enter the elevator ...
Fatal error: failed to load mono
I like the procedurally generated levels, but I found it hard to aim because the projectiles where moving so slowly.
Unfortunately the link to the game doesn't work so I can't play your game.
I can't really figure out what to do ... :(
Nice idea but it was a bit hard to play because space also scrolled the webpage down ...
Very nice game and execution. It would be great if the character would turn towards a box/robot when trying to move into the square occupied by it.
I like your footstep sound effects and the peaceful exploration. Would have been even better with music.
Sorry, can't play. I get "v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net refused to connect"
I always like to see strategy games in Ludum Dare. You executed well! The game is fun to play and invokes that "just one more turn" feeling. Played it until I conquered about half the world. I did not really understand when I can build armies or buildings. I assume they have a resource cost, but which resource? In the end I seemed to have almost every resource but still could not always build something. It might also help to display some information when clicking on a region. The pause bar is a nice feature, but I also felt a bit like cheating and playing against the theme when using it.
This looks promising but I have no idea how to use a Gameboy emulator. Some instructions might be helpful.
@acdimalev Thanks that helped! This is a really hard game, especially with the jump every 10 seconds.
This must be my favorite game for LD51! Great implementation of theme and you created a well rounded fun little game. I love the intro and the portrait you drew - it really sets the mood. I also love how the nice little Tensec (took me a bit over ten seconds to get the pun :D) are transformed into a capitalistic society where everyone's lifetime is exploited to the maximum to build me a golden statue. Somewhere this needs a "drink beer" animation.
One of my favorite games! After some try and error made it to the end position.
This looks quite nice but I can't play longer than a minute or so. Then the game mysteriously pauses.. I can still build buildings but the units don't move any longer.
Maybe the game I played the longest for LD51. I couldn't figure out though why the grey tower is so expensive. The blue ones seem to do all the work.
Really like the concept and how the theme is used. For me it would feel better if deleting spells would be free. It feels bad not be able to use a new spell, because the bar is full. Couldn't continue playing after a while because the game hang on the "delete spell" screen.
Great little entry and switching weapons every ten seconds is a nice idea. Both weapons and monsters would be even better with some power ups / variations.
The controls are a bit confusing. It is not clear when I can pick up stuff with spacebar. The little guys don't seem to "harvest" the nearest resource point which makes it a bit confusing to decide where to place buildings.
Looks like a nice idea, unfortunately I don't seem to be able to play. When I type nothing happens and pressing space scrolls to the bottom of the page..
I like this quite a lot. Picking cards and shooting monsters complement each other well. Would really love if there wouldn't be a horde of monsters right at the beginning. It is also a bit confusing that both player and monsters can leave the screen. Sometimes you get shot from outside.
This is way to easy especially as the objects don't move.
