Really cool game! The retro art is great, and the theme fits perfectly. I liked a lot the egg explosion effect. I just found it a bit too hard.. but perhaps its me that i suck

Nice Game! I liked the voice-overs. The art was cool, and the music fits nicely.
I didn't actually know if there is an ending, or just try to make him survive the longer possible? if the latter, perhaps a counter of time should be added, so you can know how much you managed to make him live.
I noted some problem with layer sorting, you can be "in front" of the logs, but the logs are rendered above for example.
Overall, nice job!
I really liked this game! It was really hard for me, but thats the point of this kind of games. The pixel art was great, and the music was very catchy, although just a bit repetitive. Perhaps i'm horrible player, but i found it a bit hard to control the height of the jump by releasing the space button. I felt like always i jumped too high. The wall slide and wall jumps felt perfect imho. I liked how the air pushing you up felt. It was very clean and intuitive. Great game! Really good job.

@rk3omega hi! thanks for the complete feedback! yeah, human detects you in an area, so if they are close enough they see you behind walls. The original idea was to also include a raycast on each enemy, to see if they had clear sight of you... but i couldnt make it on time.
Also, each organ gives you a different ammount of heatlh. Heart and Brain are the best. Perhaps i should reduce the ammount they heal.
The walls should be thicker imho.

@dawcrash thanks for playing! About the voice, ill ask @andreco1984 who made it. About the walls.. the original idea was to make them semi transparent when either the player or the stretcher was there.. but i couldnt make it.

@splitpainter yes, it was in a subtle subtle way.. You can see the effect of normal maps in floor walls and characters in the second screenshot!
@DocGeraud Thanks! yes, collisions in walls are a bit buggy.. i'll fix them for a post jam version. Screenshakes, effects on hit and when shooting were all planned, but i couldn't add them on time.
And yes, Rick and Morty was the main inspiration for our artists.

I liked the retro style of music and art, with only 4 colors and chiptune music. The mechanics were interesting, although i think the need some more user feedback of what you are doing. Good job!
Hi, I enjoyed this game! simple mechanics, difficulty scales up nicely.
I would like that the wooden part of the spear stops the pinguin instead of killing it.
Music was relaxing. A bit short, but not annoying at all.
I would try another color palette, but that's just personal preference.

Overall I enjoyed the game. I felt responsible of feeding the fished, although the were just cyborgs. This could be also understood as an example of natural population control by the available food, but idk if that was like a secondary point.
I would like that the game paused when i clicked on the instructions. I really felt all my fishes were going to die when i was reading.
Also, perhaps some soft music at the background could work! Cool Game!

Hi! congrats for the game! The mechanics are simple, but enjoyable. The graphic art is good enough. The sound was a bit strange, but not annoying at all. I think more feedback on a catch would be fine. Also, when a person comes out from a house of one of the sides, its hard to catch them if you are far, and you dont have any information of where is people coming from. That could be probably sovled with some kind of indicator of the house from wich a person is comming out (like if a neighbour called to report it) Overall the game is good! congrats!
I liked the pixel art, and the music was good also, although a little repetitive. The mechanics were simple but felt good. I liked how you can charge up the jump, and sometimes charging more than necessary is bad. I liked that enemies only froze you instead of killing you. Nice job!
The ball's movement in the circular track looks smooth. The texture of the balls are cool. Im not sure if it ended after some time, or if there is another ending condition, but the game is nice.
Wow, i loved this one! Hitting an enemy is really rewarding in this game. The slow motion when you are about to hit your own bullet is perfect. Congratulations!

Hey! great game! really fun to play. The only think i don't understand is what i did after opening the locket. It appeared a text in red, and then nothing.. I kept waiting and reopening the locket. I got almost 200 pots haha. Then suddenly a rope appeared and i found the final boss. Really fun game! but idk why it took so long to me to find the boss.
Amazing mechanics and great level design! Really cool game! I would have preferred to jump with space bar. I unfixed the loop so many times by accident! But the game is excellent!

I loved the look and the concept. However, sometimes i couldn't say what was happening... At first i thought "ghost" would do what you did previously, but sometimes that didn't happen and i couldn't tell why. I really liked the game, but a short explanation or example would be nice!
I really liked the art, Mechanics are great and fun to play. the sound effects tometimes were too high, or too sharp and i had to turn down the volume. But it was a great, and well done game! I would like some ambiental music though.
Wow, really nice interactive story. It was very rewarding to find out I broke the initial loop! Sometimes the deviation needed to restart the loop was too punishing.. perhaps it would be better if you return to checkpoints instead of start the loop again when you make some mistakes. Also the beginning/ending was intended to be interpreted as a loop.. as if the time you played is not the first time the character went through this.
About the air stop, i always loved that mechanic! i think is really fun. In all games. No exception.

@game-endeavor Hi! thanks for playing! yeah, enemi hits need more feedback, and hitboxes need to be stunned. The parallax background, i think i should change the tileset i used for that, so that it does not seem part of the level. About the spikes in the ground that kill you, besides changing the color, perhaps the problem is that the player respwans too fast, so the player cant really see what was in the floor. I could probably change those spikes to a red or orange color, or make them shine. Thanks for the great feedback!

Nice Game! i likeed the concept, although i woudl have preferred that enemies move more. they always were at the other corner of the screen.
Nice Game! simple but effective. I would like perhaps more speed, and could it be that all things appeared always in the same line? I used to stay in the top line all time, only go down to pick a sauce. The music was fine, but the loop was a bit short, and started to feel repetitive after a while, although as its soft music, is not really a big problem imho.

I like the innovation on a very well known game here. The graphics are cool, minimalistic. Breaking huge amount of bricks with those bombs feels rewarding. In level 3 i didn't understand why my ball went through all the bricks at first. I also liked that you only need mouse to play. Congrats! I think I found a bug, perhaps. Some times when I lost, the game over screen didn't disappear and I could hear the game going on in the background. I could loose again, and then the game showed for a bit, and again appeared the game over screen. I had to refresh the page.

Yeah, challenge was low for me too, but I usually get complaints about the difficulty level (even some friends told me they ended up skipping levels).
The game ended there because it made no sense to make more levels without more variety, that's true. I'm not sure even if the last one should be there.
About the hearts restoration and shooting consuming light, those are great ideas! Ill note them down in case I decide to do a post jam version.

@jonathan-turner im so sorry you couldnt figure out combat. The idea is this, you hold right click, and it does an area attack, you need to be pretty close to the bats. thats only for 1 and a half level, and then you get to shoot while holding the lamp. And that makes it easier to kill enemies. If you replay it and have trouble again, let me know!

@weirdybeardyman hi Thanks a lot for playing! what do you mean you couldn't tell bettween the attacks? The normal attack is just hold right click. When the lamp stoms on the floor it makes area damage. The ranged is first hold right clik for a normal attack. Maintain right click hold and press left click while still holding, and you will shoot to the cursor position. Think it as when you aim in a FPS with right click, and shoot with left click.

Yeah, long range attack and short range attack are not properly balanced. Most people actually suggested me to improve short range one instead of nerf the other. But I agree with you, it is too op. The idea was to add some other things to pick up, but I didn't have time. This was my first compo.
@paulhocker hy! thanks for playing! Yeah, the melee attack should have longer range, and perhaps apply some knockback on enemies. The enemies flash white when hit, but perhaps the flash is to short to notice. Anyways, in the next level you pick a ranged attack that make things easier. Were you able to get to that part? I liked this game sooo much. Clever interpretation of the theme, clever twist on a very well known genre. Art is really cool due to a good palette choice. Perhaps some FX missing, and of course, it needs sound for a post jam version. But it liked this a lot!
Really nice pixel art! Very polished look and feel. I really liked the design of the level. Collisions sometimes dont work fine, i think sometimes i touched a coin or bone and didnt grab it, and i had to try again. Also, Sometimes i got stuck in the middle or below wooden platforms.
I would love to play it again with some music, but i know the time limitations. Great entry!

Amazing entrye. Icredible what you managed in such a short time. I find it hard at first to discover that i could only move one direction, and could only change the direction after picking the up arrow. It was a little confusing that it was an up arrow given that it allowed you to move to any other direction. Perhaps some more explanation about that, or what the specific blocks are. Anyways i could finish it all (missed some coins in some places). Art is awesome. Sound and music is cool too. REALLY nice game.

What I found a bit frustrating is that sometimes I just had to make a "faith jump" because of the path I made was impossible to go back. Cool entry. I dont like much the long delay when you attack. It was a good decision to stop everything waiting for the attack, otherwise at that speed i would end up dieing all the time. I manage to finish it at the 5th try. Its a bit tricky to get the timing. I liked the last levels when you not only had to wait for the timing but also consider the other fireballs coming at you. The art of the character and enemies were cool. I wish it had music and sound!
Also, consider changing the attack button from space to j k or some button. If you want to play in browser and not at full screen, space bar will just scroll the page! But thats not something that affects the game honestly.

Nice Game! I like it that the balance is thought in two ways, balancing the platform, and balancing the type of buildings! I found it hard to keep track of what i could place, so i just tried until something felt. I enjoyed it a lot!

I like the mood of the game, but sometimes shadows were too sharp and it made it hard to see. About the music, imho it would have been better just one song in a loop, but i get it can get repetitive. Mouse sensivility was too high for me i think, and the camera sometimes was hard to control. I liked the ambient and the theme, animations, low ppoly enemies. Its really nice. Would have been nice to see that boss battle! Contratulations!

@matt-fabius thanks! Valuable feedback! I'm glad you liked the game. The leaderboard only updates when the scorescreen is opened, and is async, so i doubt thats causing freezes. Did you play in browser? Sometimes godot games run poorly on some browsers. I believe the bug that caused the bullets to pass through is also related to the framerate. The bullets should be slow enough to avoid tunneling, but a freeze or fps drop could cause it.

@greenradiation Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I tried with longer duration of buffs, but it made the game considerable easier, and thus, longer. I thought a short but dynamic experience was better for this game! That would probably change if it was a full game instead of a jam one.

@professir Thanks! Thats was the idea when we designed it, we wanted a Megaman Battle Network with Plants vs Zombies feeling. The overwhelming feeleing when a lot of zombies approach your house is great! We tried to replicate that feeling.

@nardandas hi! thanks for playing! I'm sorry you found that annoying, but i dont think you should have encountered that problem so soon. If you pick the powerups strategically, and stock life and use it to defend the base, you can easily pass that score. But even though, as we want this to be a game of "last all you can", in a given time the game must become impossible. If not, the game could be endless and we don't want that for a jam game.
Some hints:
1- When picking a shield, use it to kill enemies by walking into them.
2- Dont pick any powerups right away, wait until many enemies are there. Specially the double shoot, is very useful against tanks, and it worth nothing for common enemies.
3- Stock life. Life can be used as a weapon as enemies explode when you touch them. That way you can "trade" base life with your own life.
4- Double shoot, if you move in the right moment, can be used to kill two enemies in adjacent rows.
5- Power Up synergy is the key. Is better to wait until many powerups are in the level before picking them.

But the duration of the buffs, we tried longer and the game become too easy, and as a result, too long. We wanted each try to last arround 10mins. We should try to better balance the movment and the duration, perhaps fixing the movement is enough. Im glad you like it! thanks!

@lucasvb hi! thanks for playing! Im glad you liked art and music. About the setup, as far as we tested you can get really far by just improving your skills. Timing on items is not much impact if you don't pick right away, the idea is to leave them on the level waiting for other items that have synergy and pick them altogether. Or for example, if you have a double shoot item in the level, wait to pick it whene there is a tank. Also, when you have low enemy count, you may want to wait until it advances a bit to kill it, so pickups are dropped in a safer place. This are strategies that can make you reach better socres in the game, regardless of luck or randomness. After some point, the game must become unbeatable, so there is where luck starts to play a more important role. We didnt want this to be an endless game.
About webgl crashing, thanks for telling us, im not being able to reproduce any crash, but we will see if we can get other people to crash it.

Me encantó! Divertido, buena musica y sfx, buena aplicación del tema! Hay algún tema con el frame rate, creo, porque dependiendo de los fps salto mucho o poco, cosas así, puede ser? Buenísimo el juego, no lo pude terminar si, quede como al 75% todas las veces que intenté.
I really liked the game! Was enjoyable, with good music and art! I felt the collisions where a bit off, because due to perspective i would have thought that you could pass behind the enemies. Not a problem after i lost one time though. The attack was cool because you need to plan where to put acid, but imho you should limit how often you can drop acid, or something, because spamming the attack was my way to victory!
I really love that the theme is superficially linked to the unstable plant and robots, but you only understand what was really unstable when you finish the game! this could be a double edge sword though, because people not finishing the game wont fully understand it! I wont share a screenshot of the end screen as i usually do because i want to avoid spoilers for other players!
