This is great. Very solid game design, with genuinely tricky puzzles that require thought. The boss fights were particularly well done. Impressive entry!

Solid entry, classic puzzler
I genuinely loved it! Great dialogs, tricky touch puzzles and the boss fights were amazing, and especially the last one was quite hard imo. And i love your interpretation of the theme :D
really cool puzzle game! nice take on the theme. i'm not a huge fan of puzzles so i didn't get very far, but it's a really neat game! good job!
Found the treasure!

Amazing entry!
My only comment is that the I didn't "see" the boxes that you could pick up at first.
Other than that, good level design, nice music and graphics. Also cool that you let players find out themselves that the box blocks the darts in a non textual manner.
Pretty cool game with nice music! Those slabs are not standing out when they are white tho. Great job!
At first I was like "I've played this before" then the boss fight was a completely new and different thing. Well done! Also, stage 6 was a MONSTER.
Really well done! The puzzles are solid, and the music and art are great!
My team did a brothers game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/deeper-and-deeper-7
Guys your game is super class, i like it
I really like your game! The idea itself quite creative and the boss fights really made you think! Also goood choice of music really suited to the style of this game. Well done!
Very good puzzle game, excellent level design. Nice Work!
For me this is one of the best game on the jam
Solid game. very polished, i like the art and the theme. Puzzels where challenging but not too hard.
I feel like I've seen this idea or something like it before, but it was very well executed regardless. The puzzle design was tight, and the number of puzzles was pretty impressive for a Jam game. I thought the boss fights could have been a little more puzzle-y, but maybe that's just because I sucked at them. :)
The puzzles were a lot of fun! Even for such a simple to grasp concept a lot of the solutions were not obvious. I did encounter a couple bugs in the game (this is all on the WebGL version using Firefox):
* If you accessed the options or credits screen from the main menu pressing the escape key blanks the screen and requires you to reload the page to play the game (I'm guessing it is cause the game would quit in the desktop version)
* In the final boss fight the spears would often travel through either the crate or one of the Dippers. I think it might have had to do with not alternating sides when attacking the boss?
Finally I was suspicious that the black screen at the end might mean that you were put back at the start of the game but in total darkness, what with the deja vu comment, but it is just the end of the game, right?
I love how you have done the boss fights! Adding them into a puzzle game was a great idea - a nice change of pace after a little bit of puzzle-solving!
Excellent game! Excellent dialogs and humor! I liked the art and sound too. Amazing entry. I always like this kind of puzzle games where you control both characters with the same keys!
@$162477 thanks for the detailed feedback !

Yes you're totally rigth I forgot to remove that code on the html build.
*In the final boss fight the spears would often travel through either the crate or one of the Dippers. I think it might have had to do with not alternating sides when attacking the boss?*
I'm not sure what you mean, the crate only protect you from one side so maybe that's why you were confused ?
*Finally I was suspicious that the black screen at the end might mean that you were put back at the start of the game but in total darkness, what with the deja vu comment, but it is just the end of the game, right?*
Yeah it's a bug, you're supposed to be back at the start of the game, but on the html build the screen remains black and I've no idea why... But the treasure it's the end of the game.
@u-tsang-clan thanks for the kind words. Yes the mecanic was inspired by the fight against the Necromancer in "Crypt of the necromancer", but I'm sure it exists in some other games too.
I'm so glad I went back to play this some more after I ate, this was a great adventure! I did get the treasure <3
Very mind-boggling, in a great way! Those boss fights were hard, having to line up the arrows while dodging attacks (and having to trade who has the crate later on) was tricky. The fact the player is never told how to use things like the crates is a good touch, it allows the player to feel like they're accomplishing great feats within the game. Really nice humor and soundtrack, too.
Good take on the two characters/one input idea. The puzzles are solid and build on each other well, and the boss fights are a good twist on the puzzle mechanics. Some of the boss attack patterns were not very first-timeable, such as the one that requires you to squish the characters close together, since you have to push one against one wall and then send them all the way back across the screen and there's hardly time for that. They are manageable once you know what to expect, though. I also did try standing on the attack tiles the first time since they match the level exit tiles, I thought they might be the good ones. Overall, fun to play!
