Not working. I opened up inspect element console and it says there are syntax errors. I cannot run the game. Pls fix.

Amazing game, I would continue playing but one part was too hard. I hope you win!
It is hard to believe a game this good came from 24 hours of work, the art style is amazing and the music and sounds work perfectly with the game and its look and feel.
I felt the game was a bit too hard from the beginning and should give the player a bit of time to learn the controls, also, make the goal stand out more so the player knows where to go.
The music and sounds were very calming, the idea of the water cycle for this jam would never have come to my mind. the controls for the game were a bit hard to notice, an indication would be good but otherwise good.
Smart concept, the dissolve effects when things are destroyed is pretty clever. I think the shield looked a bit odd with the rest of the objects though and it is a bit buggy when you try to regen the shield, the response isn't immediate, but if it is supposed to be, maybe make some sort of animation to show it it regenerating.
The graphics were good but the game itself was harder than it looks, maybe make the enemies larger at first and shrink or move faster over time.
The game is quite difficult, but the difficulty is just right to keep me playing over and over. Great job! The tunnel did not look quite right because you could see to the other side, but otherwise the art and graphics were very well done.
The game is calm and well paced (although maybe a bit slow). The game does a good job at keeping the player interested, but it would be even better if there was something at the end. Also, there is nothing stopping the player, maybe add some danger or reason to follow the dotted line other because you can go wherever you want. Otherwise, great game with nice dialogue!
The art and the music create the perfect calm atmosphere for the game, but I wasn't able to figure out what I was supposed to do and the controls were a bit strange. The designs for the fish were perfect, and the music had the right theme for the underwater stuff. Great job!
The concept is quite novel and it was quite easy to understand how to play. The art was a bit odd tho, it would have looked much better if you set the sprites to point interpolation. Other than that the game was very funny and good.
While the audio was lacking, the art was quite good, but inconsistent throughout the game. Next time, consider a single style. The game had the most background out of any other game I played with the whole cutscene at the beginning. The game was probably a bit too hard though. Even though this comment sounds harsh, I really did think this was a good game, keep up the good work!
This was one of the most clever games I have played. Although the sound did not seem to work, the art style was quite nice. [Spoilers if you haven't played yet] From what I can tell the game is about a robotic re-education program for convicts, you had a very clever way of creating that idea of wishing you "didn't do it" and the games designed to bring out competitive emotion to clue the player in. [End Spoiler] This is a great game and reminds me of that movie "War Games" where the computer plays global thermonuclear war. Some issues I had were that the pong game was a bit slow and there was no sound except for one part where white noise played and I could not see how the theme Deeper and Deeper applies.
Due to the thought put into this game, I have to applaud your good work and I hope you place high in the rankings.
The best part of the game is messing about with the text box and putting random things of it, I wasn't sure what you wanted the player to write because I am not poetic but the concept was pretty cool.
The idea of getting smaller to find a key to get to an exit was a clever, but it was not clear where to get the key and the gameplay/physics was buggy. But with a bit of ironing out, this would make an interesting game to play.
It is quite a fun and addictive game the difficulty curve is quite nice, it is easy to get into and keep playing it, but it starts a little slow and the motion lags quite far behind the input. Other than that, you have created a very good looking and fun game which has you coming back for more.
The expression of the eyes makes it clear which of the directions they move in, but the glasses tripped me up. How you came up with the floating eyes thing baffles me, but it is incredibly creative! Great job.
I was unable to pass the first folder and could not get past the first part. The game art is quite good, and what I saw of the concept is good. It is just a bit too hard to get going in it.
The concept and the art is very good. The idea is very cool, but the enemies appear too fast and there is not much sense of pacing, but other than that, there is a lot of good artwork and concepts in it and the goal is clear from the beginning without needing much explanation. Great job.
As a programmer, I enjoy these sorts of things, I would not have thought of deep as in deep down in the software, nice idea. This is a very clever game and probably the only python entry I have ever seen in ludum dare before. Nice job!
I enjoyed the game, you did an especially nice job with the art and sound. Good music. It had a simple dinosaur game kinda feel to it, keeps you going, nice and fun.
The controls felt a bit loose, sliding a bit extra when you unpress the buttons, and the pacing felt a little slow, it didn't seem to get much harder with time. That's all I can see wrong with it, it has a consistent style to it making the art and music even better.
Overall great job on your game and good luck.
The backstory of this humor with the juxtaposition of a what would be sad with the fact that it's a chicken that swears when you drop eggs (nice touch btw, absolutely hilarious). It would be better though if you made it more clear how to pick up eggs, because it took me several levels to figure out how to pick up eggs. Very funny game idea, good luck in judging!
Nice game, and interesting take on the theme, I would not have thought to make a a game like this. I would say though that it was a bit difficult to beat, I could not get to the end (maybe add checkpoints). Anyway, great job, and good luck!
This is a clever game, very easy to get into playing it, not hard to understand how to play. The audio is quite funny how it changes with the objects and some very funny ones. I have no criticisms, this is a very well made game, good luck.
The artwork for this game is very well done, as well as the audio. It was a bit difficult to understand, should have introduced features more incrementally. (also, as mentioned before, the clean option seemed kinda useless, and the clean lever barely did anything). The topic fits the theme well of an unstable nuclear reactor. Great game, good luck in judging!
The game keeps you playing, quite neat and well done. The base concept of the game is unorthodox never would of thought "demon child daycare" and taking that literally, very funny. Great game and good luck!
This game is quite fun, you got the right balance of difficulty, and the learning curve is very nice, does not take long to get into the game and begin having fun. The bar which shows how close you are to exploding was a bit difficult to notice, so maybe make that bigger, but that was not bad. Nice choice of distorting the screen to show off how close you are to exploding, makes it nice and clear. You guys did a great job this year, props to you, and good luck in judging!
15 seconds, this is a fun little game, but it would be cool if there were more than one level, because it's a bit short. The game makes you feel the stress too because of the pace which is cool. Good luck in judging!
Very clean artwork and gameplay, quick to learn nice to play. The music is also calming. Good luck in judging!
It's a bit difficult to judge a game that is not finished but I will give it my best shot. I liked the music, it fits the mood you were trying to go for, keep practicing and your music will be through the roof. The art was not great, but it's programmer art, and has its own charm. In terms of gameplay, the concept sounds fun, but without a proper implementation it can't really be judged properly. The gameplay it appears you were going for would be a bit boring and the time limit was a bit restrictive and it took a bit of messing around to figure out how to replenish time (next time, try imposing a less strict time limit on beginning levels and making it harder as time goes on). Good concept for a game, good luck with final implementation!
The audio was the best part of this game, it made it sound nice and outdoors-y. The graphics were quite nice, sticking to the same simplified style throughout, but the ground was a bit bland, try adding more dimension to it. Unfortunately, the gameplay was a bit hard to understand; though the concept was clear, how to make use of it to do well in the game was not. It would be a good idea to make it so the player can see immediate clear results of their actions or to clearly know what each of their actions will do. The idea for the game was a good one, and fit the theme better than my game. Anyway, nice job making your game and good luck in judging!
Very good quality graphics; nice, somewhat consistent style and look. The only concerns I have is that the game takes like 2 minutes to load, and the shooting felt slow and low energy, too slow paced. Other than that, the idea for the game was quite good and kept me playing for a bit. Great artwork and good luck in judging!
This is the best game I have played so far. First of all, the music, sound, and art are all top notch and fit into the same theme. This is the first game I have not wanted to stop playing. If I had to make one critique though its that the J looks like a V and its hard to tell that your supposed to press J. The pacing and gameplay is another place where this game shines: the game steadily gets harder to make the player more challenged, but its not in your face like a level system. Plus, the fast paced gameplay with the music makes it hard to put down. Overall great job and good luck!
The game was hard, but in the way that makes you want to keep playing, the game really allows you to learn the controls quickly. Its one of the more fun games I've played. The art for the game is also very nice and conveyed the level to the user really nicely while still looking great. Great job on your game and good luck!
The best part of this game was the sound design, I have not yet seen a game with spoken text, really makes it stand out. The gameplay was a bit difficult for my taste, and I could not beat the level. The art was nice and the visual effects like screen shake really were done well to make you feel like you are there. Great job this year and good luck.
Its surprisingly difficult because physics engine. The graphics and audio were quite nice. It did not take long to figure out how to play. Nice work with the game and good luck in judging.
The art, music, and sound on this game were really well done, and the gameplay was simple and easy to understand. Next time though, try using less text to convey how to play the game, (I've had enough English homework lol). Great job this jam, and good luck!
The game is quite funny, I did not expect to be stacking random objects on a tightrope walking elephant today, but now I have done it and it has made my day lol. I would say that the game is a bit difficult, and there is not a lot of space for the player to succeed, so maybe make easier levels and then make it progressively harder. Also, the controls were a bit sluggish. Other than that, fun and funny game, good luck!
This is a very nice and calming game, although a bit difficult. The music and sound effects are calming, and really gives you that beach vibe. Nice game and, good luck.
Nice game, the music really makes you feel tension and fast pace of the game. Also I find it clever how you made it so you are only able to move in the way of a knight in chess. Also its brilliant how you managed to combine turn based combat and action.
Took me a bit to reach the third platform because it never told me to hold down shift. Also, the controls were really sensitive and I could not get very far into the game (I would recommend toning the speed down and shortening the long jumps so you can see the other side but still not make it). The sound and music were quite good though and it makes up for the controls. Nice music and good luck!
This is such a cute game! Cutest sprites ever I love it and the *meow*, soooo cutee!!
Btw, you can patch the awkward embedding! Directly modifying these two width and height lines to the values shown allows the embed to fit in Ludum Dare's embed.
```JavaScript /// ... code above ... canvas.style.width = "925px"; canvas.style.height = "512px"; } /// ... code below ... ```
Wow that's interesting, quite the unique use of pdfs and unique kind of entry and excellent storytelling, especially with the use of the AI's variability in output. This really shows what AI art can and should be used for. Very creative, I love it!
This game is soo satisfying to play, once you get started you don't want to stop until you've finally lost. I made it 15 waves. The splat, the screen shake and everything is just so oddly satisfying to me. Nice work!
This hast to be one of the games with some of the best graphics yet, its amazing that so much cool art was done in such a short time. Although, I'm not sure what I broke because I seemed to be stuck in an infinite loop of not being able to see and the timer counting into the negatives! Probably because it froze here: [Screenshot 2022-10-04 191428.jpg](///raw/c31/82/z/522fa.jpg).
Other than that bug, though the gameplay was quite fun!
This is a fun game, the news entries are funny too lol.
This is a really cool concept, the introduction of the alien spaceship was so oddly terrifying too, where is it??
If you continue on this game, I'd recommend some quiet/ambient spacey music to fill out the silence between pings, or even just a quiet hum to make it more eerie.
This is a really entertaining game, especially if you understand orbital mechanics. It's difficult but I think that makes it fun!
As a fellow astronomy/cosmology nerd, I love this concept and that introduction text is quite funny in my opinion.
However, I must say the controls were not very intuitive, and I never figured out how to steer (from what I read in other comments, it's broken in Firefox).
This is cool, I didn't expect to see any pen and paper games. It's a very interesting thing to see a game where you have to think and analyze all the things that could happen next, I love that aspect of this. I kinda wonder what the optimal strategy is to have the highest probability of success.
This is one of the best uses of the theme I've seen yet, the way you have to think through the puzzles is fun.
I must say though, the controls were very awkward and I couldn't always jump when I should've been able to.
It looks nice and feels satisfying to explode things, but I couldn't understand what clicks were causing them to explode (eg. matching seems broken: If I click on a red gem near other red gems, they may not explode, but some other gem surrounded by gems of other colors, when clicked don't explode).
One thing this game definitely does have going for it is that it is 1: satisfying to explode things, 2: the nostalgia of the old mobile games like this definitely kicks in.
Overall, enjoyable, but confusing.
This game looks amazing! You really set the mood well with the thunder and rain.
That is quite a neat effect, swapping the enemies every ten seconds, and it makes for very interesting gameplay. Nice job!
I never would've thought to make a turn based game with the 10 second timer, very clever. It is surprising how much difficulty that emerges from those simple rules. Nice job this year. Oh yeah, and the UI design is very navigable and satisfying to use, can't go wrong with good UI design.
This game is so addicting with the combining logic. And I love the voiced sound effects, so funny lol. I spent way too much time on this game lol.
Although, I must complain that between level ups the new cards sometimes being incompatible with the old cards (such as any prime number, like 3 or 5) and this leads to small cards that you can't effectively use or get rid of, but this is kindof a nitpick.
Also mention of the name bob reminds me of a few years back when I made the game "Bob the time travelling square" lol
This is so innovative, works very well with the theme while feeling like it's own game that could very easily stand on its own without the theme, amazing work. Also, I'd say that the sprite art is pretty cool (the blood made me feel so bad when I killed nooo (nice work again lol)).
The variety in the bosses was fun, especially the ones that make you aim *just* right. The explosions when the enemy dies is also a nice touch that may or may not have gotten me several times.
On the critique side, the audio's fine, and art definitely needs work, but there is never a question in how to play the game which is good.
@cafebeef For drawing, I personally use **Krita** (from KDE), which is optimized for painting, but it has pixel art tools too. - **GIMP** is a similar story, but more popular. - I've also heard **Photoshop** is good if you pay for it. - If you're more interested in 3D, you can look into using **Blender**.
In terms of learning, go online and look for resources on the **basic principles** of art **(3d forms, composition, color theory, etc.)** and then look into each of those, **practicing each of those skills as you go**.
And finally, don't forget to **have fun**! If making art is becoming boring, try a new kind or take a break and come back to it.
The art and sound are both very good but it's so incredibly difficult to pass even the first level. The option for checkpoints would be nice, or refinement of the hitboxes and movement could help.
This is another very unique and addicting game. The slime killing mechanic was definitely oddly satisfying, like some kind of rhythm game without rhythm or something lol. But with slimes sometimes seem like you can just go around them instead of battle.
Also I almost beat your record:Screenshot 2022-10-04 194633.jpg
This is a very visually appealing game, very clean looking. It took me like 5 minutes to figure out how to connect the nodes, even with instructions (people tend to skim large text blocks), so if you were to come back to developing this game, I'd recommend building instructions into the gameplay (eg. mouse icon dragging between two nodes or something).
This game is quite big and full of a lot of really cool looking and sounding artwork. Sfx were on point, vfx were a bit odd, the particles seemed a bit out of place, and I found the progression a bit slow but oh well lol.
All in all, nice work and good luck in judging!
This is so cool for a game built without an engine! (though laggy at times, try caching more texture data, maybe prepare a kind of mini game engine to do that before the compo)
Idk if it was intentional but the music cuts out when the enemies are coming, which makes for a very cool and ominous sounding effect.
Anyway, nice work and good luck in judging!
@madcoil Usually audio gets cut off in browsers when cpu gets overloaded, but it's still a cool effect lol
Very easy game to play, nice artwork and very simple, reactive controls. Nice work on this one, and good luck in judging!
I liked the sprites and audio! You also seamlessly integrated the harvest theme into the game (that's hard, nice work)! Also so much pink I love pink. Also great use of level layout to teach the player the game's mechanics, it was very easy to learn how to play.
In terms of improvements, I'd suggest you put more work into making the movements less jarring, like maybe an animation when walking between tiles and a camera that moves slowly and lags a bit behind the player during moving to give a better sense of motion.
Anyway, Nice work and good luck in judging!
This is a funny little game, I love the voiced sound effects, gives a real fun vibe to the whole thing
The artwork for the game is good and the splat sound is so high quality lol. (though the music didn't seem to fit the mood)
This has the opportunity be quite a good game if the learning curve was lowered a bit, I could not manage to get a single order through in like 5 attempts, nothing matched the orders, maybe a bug idk.
Anyway nice work and good luck in judging!
This is quite a fun game with a lot of features for a jam game. With a bit of work on the art and adding a little music, I could see this being like the old mobile games back when they were good (reminds me a bit of angry birds for some reason lol).
Nice work on this game and good luck in judging!
This game is god tier, especially the music and art (outstanding color pallete, really captures the grim, creepy vibe).
Amazing work and good luck in judging!
@runicpixels that was one of the most fun parts actually. I avoided doing actual pixel art directly (because I've barely done it and I don't know how beyond the abstract principles lol). I made the style by overusing clone and filter layers lol. It's weird how once I figured out the layer setup I could kinda paint normally and nondestructively free transform and it just turns magically into pixel-looking art.
Can't beat your game's art tho wow.
Screenshot 2023-01-11 163205.png
I love the artwork and sfx in this entry, you all did a very nice job with that, I especially liked the drone sounds. Furthermore, your inclusion of game instructions into story was on point. It did get a bit hard like really suddenly when progressing from first to second level, but otherwise it was great.
Nice job, and good luck in judging!
I haven't read dune myself, but it's really cool to see a game explicitly based on an existing story.
Also the harvester is really satisfying to pilot, because of the fact you synchronized the steps to both the music and the stepping sound.
All in all, nice work and good luck in judging!
Like previously mentioned it does crash a lot lol, but the gameplay I did see was quite nice. The art especially was very nice.
One thing I may add is that the game's pretty easy to cheese, just by adding more and more lines to push the apple progressively over.
Anyway, Nice work and good luck in judging when you fix the game.
(Also the embed doesn't work: `Failed to read the 'serviceWorker' property from 'Navigator': Service worker is disabled because the context is sandboxed and lacks the 'allow-same-origin' flag.`, try hosting on itch.io or something)
This is a nice simple game with simple goals, very humble game.
A lot of gameplay variety for how simple it is.
Nice work and good luck in judging!
Buh I flew the coop!
Screenshot 2023-01-09 174105.png
That's a cool mix of 2d and 3d I haven't seen before. Controls are a bit janky, but the art and sound have a lot of charm. Anyway, nice work and good luck in judging!
I found this game to be one of the funnier entries. It's so ridiculous in and so funny and to make it a constellation origin story makes it even more so. Nice work lol and good luck in judging!
This is a funny little game, nice idea using the harvested crops as ammo, however I couldn't figure out how to deliver the yams!
Anyway, nice work and good luck in judging!
This game is so aesthetically nice and calming. Like you mentioned it's very limited in scope, but it has a lot of potential if given a long running story I presume.
Cute art and nice work, good luck in judging!
This is an all around amazing game with a very creative take on the theme, that shader that goes over the whole page as well as the UI design is amazing and builds quite the mood, while still leaving room to be funny.
Outstanding work this year and good luck in judging! (you won't need luck though this game is amazing!)
This game's art and sound are beautiful and it's amazing that it was done during a jam. I personally found the game too confusing, even with the detailed instruction (nice work on that btw, that was pretty impressive) I was just able to guess levels to beat them in one or two tries.
Anyway nice work and good luck in judging!
(btw, you get more ratings on your game by playing more of other people's games. You all working together could probably meet the rate-20-other-games requirement in like an hour)
BRUH THE COWS GET MOVED BY UFOS HAHAHAHAHA
and that tips bar is too good lmao. this is surely how burgers are made
In all seriousness, really funny game with simple graphics and ok audio. With a bit of polish this could be a really fun and funny game.
Nice work and good luck lol!
The visuals and audio were great, and it was really unnerving in the best way.
This was a very creative take on the theme "harvest", properly terrifying too (buh you didn't need to include bios of people but you did anyway, made me almost feel bad for sacrificing them (nice work)).
Nice work on this entry, and good luck in judging!
It's nice to see games with multiplayer, because I feel the social element makes them more fun. I feel this could have been made more fun if you had made the multiplayer aspect more necessary, though, because sometimes it feels like the game could be played single-handedly.
As far as the other categories, it was quite a funny game, I'd say. Anything that looks like a deep fried slideshow on purpose is rather funny lol. Art, is technically bad, though it's bad on purpose, which makes it good in reality, because it build that humorous tone.
Anyway, nice work on this game and good luck in ratings!
Starting with the good, the art is very well put together and ambient. The music and sounds too, very nice.
On the other hand, the massive rules list was a bit of a flop for me, and the game came off as a little too complicated and unintuitive.
Anyway, nice work and good luck!
This game really effectively redoes Tetris in a way that makes it difficult!
Also the art is outstanding! It feels so polished for a jam game, nice work! SFX are great, music feels a bit more like Mario music than Tetris music, but it's not breaking anything so no harm done.
Had some issues with timing, turning, and aiming just because of the core premise. It should probably be easier to turn. Maybe rotate on any wall?
Anyway, nice work!
