I didn't understand the trader, and the first try I collected 130 memories and my screen turned totally gray. You can't really tell which memory is positive or negative. But the atmosphere was very well achieved, I felt lonely and and a bit sad while playing this. You have a talent to enhance the atmosphere so work on the gameplay part and you will get a very good game. Keep it up!
Great game but i think was too heavy for a wev game so it felt a bit laggy, also I couldn't pay the retirement fee although I had enough money for it. Superb entry considering you worked solo. Good job :smile:
The concept of the game fits in the theme but I think the values of life given by monsters killed are too high, you can grind every upgrade with less than the half of the total monsters of the map. And those upgrades made you too overpowered, only by adjusting that you could get a much more entertaining game.
The vfx are very cool and were being run by my computer smoothly.
The only bug I've noticed when completing the game was that the arms get through the cloak, but nothing that really affects the gameplay.

Capture.PNG I had a long run on the 2nd try, so the easiest way to get score was to sit just above 2 speed so the hammer doesn't catch you and wait for the multiplier. Maybe you should make that the more coins you have the bigger is the poop you make and give more points with the poop rather than the coins so that it encourages the player to get more than 16 coins and be "safe" with 2.04 speed.
The sound was a bit annoying after 15 min but hey it's pretty cool I guess. The art was very appealing :smile:
However with this game I feel like the theme "Your food is currency" rather than "Your life was currency".
Anyways, good work and keep it up!
As @wie said, the game needs a tutorial, although I read the rules on this page it was hard to do, also there was a moment in which I had a "trooper" in the top and couldn't move it or attack anyone, also, how are the coins acquired, only through killing enemy troops or every turn you get one? If it had clear rules it would be a good strategy game, but as of now it can't because I don't know what I can or can't do.
Anyways, if you can explain to others how your game works in a mini tutorial it will improve a lot the experience. Good work and cheers!
Electro market for life, gonna build one of those IRL thanks to this game, EZ money EZ life. Jokes aside, entertaining game, the music is very chill to get through building everything, pixel art works really well with this concept and no noticeable bugs.

I think it's a pretty polished simple game, although I think the theme for this one is "Your legs are currency" and you can live without legs! Anyways, good job with your entry!
Very well polished infinite runner, if you could fix that first platform bug it will be almost perfect execution wise, and you did everything by yourself, you should be proud! :smile:
Theme: Cool game, although we avoided making a game with this concept due to the similarity to the entries of the previous Ludum Dare.
Bugs: The game had a bug that when sticking to the wall you couldn't jump. Also you can just wait on the top platforms for the enemies to accumulate there and they can't do nothing about it.
Upgrades: The life regen upgrade was a bit overpowered for the price. All the rest were good.
Design: The music was good, and the pixel art was on point. Maybe to spice up more the gameplay some camera shockwave when hit/ being hit would be a good addition.
Props for making this game and keep it up!
You are really good at enhancing the atmosphere, I was submerged on this world that you created. I agree with you that the theme of this Ludum dare is quite similar to the other one, but maybe you should've tried some other outputs before giving up the theme.

@reax Well, the idea was that you weren't paid enough to get through due to the low salary and you ended up dying early so really good jov getting to level 9!
Really impressive level generation and interesting hacking system. Also the melee taser is overpowered. Was fun to play for a bit although I don't think it suits this jam's theme because you are not buying anything is more like a "Your life is fuel" more than "You life is currency". Anyways, good work and props!

I didn't know billionaires where able to use Unrelenting force and Tax attack. Really makes you think. Silly fun game to play with someone for some laughs, maybe you should change the controls for player 2 to more generally present keys that doesn't make you scroll page or anything like that
The concept is cool and is a fun game, although for future projects give more importance to the ratios, the stats were super tiny compared to the whole card and the game didn't fit in one screen with 1920x1080 resolution so you had to scroll down to take a card every turn which was a bit annoying.
But overall it's pretty well done. Props!

Cool concept but couldn't even finish the Level 1 as the shooting thing bugged and I wasn't able to shoot at the triangle enemies at the end of the level. I downloaded the Windows version if that helps to solve the bug. I think i couldn't shoot starting the jumps over logs thing.
The explosion particles are awesome, on the other hand the keyboard are a little bit awkward. The leaderboard feature is also very neat!

@thesambassador Super fun game! Second one I found with the "go down and shoot to go up", for me it didn't lag that much. Also, I found a bug that is if you start to play and don't move, just shoot, a block is indestructible.

Very original concept, my natural soprano voice was obviously a handicap to play this game xd.
Jokes aside, the game is very novel but I think it needs a taller playfield because as of now it doesn't feel like "use your voice pitch to change height" game and more like a "can you mantain a low pitched note for 60 seconds?" game. Anyways, cheers for trying a not so approachable mechanic!

I encountered 2 softlocks in this game in 4 or so runs, the first softlock is getting to the limit of the map that, for some reason makes me unable to move, the second softlock is to get to the legendary tree and being unable to cross a narrow path where I came from because of the inability to chop while carrying the tree. This game would've had a much stronger creepiness if it had some sound effects, such a shame.
Anyways, for the rest, great map and visual effects!
Ignoring the fact that it is impossible to run out of air. The game is pretty, simple and relaxing. My game is also about diving, kind of...
Nice old school game, I accidentally entered to the boss fight 10 seconds into the gameplay because of Pokemon trauma with hidden objects. I really liked the boss fight music, the boss dialog music on the other side would have given me a headache if i had to hear it for a bit longer. No bugs found so it's better than Cyberpunk 2077. win.PNG
@romeromey Very simple fun game. As long as I'm aware there are 3 chunks of the level 2 premade and the middle section procedurally generated. I think that it would be better if the player had less control of the jump, think something like "Jump King". Anyways, cheers and keep it up!

@aret24 a fellow sea gamer. I thought the crabs were partying until I read the description lmao. I also chuckled because of the submarine with a revolver with a trigger xD. The only missing thing for me is a bit of sound. Keep it up!
super pretty game but I can't relate it to the theme, also if you hold the mouse button to to the flip it bugs sometimes
@etom Great idea! But for me the controls are a bit frustrating, the platforms seem to be made from ice because of how little friction they have. Also there is a bug when the player hits the edge of a platforme, it starts wobbling a bit. Anyways, solid game and keep it up!
Nice audio and visuals! Apart from a few bugs here and there such as respawning and immediately losing while being able to move or dying and havin the lose screen not pop up it is a pretty solid game! Here is a photo of the second bug, happened on the WebGL version: bug.PNG
I completed the game and got this score, record.png I think i could improve it if I can land the double rock punch-through at the end. Cheers and keep it up!

Things I would change: -Make swords stackable as you don't have to backtrack that much -Make the music loop longer to not cause an aneurysm to the players lol

@panacea The bubbles were made to make it feel like the player is moving, because if not the screen feels very static, didn't think they could be mistaken for projectiles lol. I'm glad you liked it :smile:

@cavedens I didn't know what to draw for the middle sprite, but I'm glad the other 2 are recognizeable!
@youthfulidealism the reason is blurry is because i scaled a lot the sprites and it gave that effect. My pixel art is not that good so the blurriness makes it more acceptable. Regarding the drop faster, I agree but the level is so short I didn't feel the need to add that functionality. Thanks for the feedback, and maybe try going for the 100%!
@oeschmid the music is me playing notes randomly in Bosca Ceoil, I think what makes it "good" is the change in pitch as you go deeper. Thanks for the feedback!

@shaolin-dave the visual elements are far from perfect, but i put a layer of a green sprite with reduced alpha to make it look "murky" but resulted in worse differentiation of what is what.
Regarding the last blob sprite, yes it is handsome squidward, it was either that or giga chad which i put as a background xD

@twowolf very nice sound FX and art style, looks really polished for 48h in those aspects.
Game-wise there are a few things that I think need to be fixed in order to make this game feel better: -After a certain depth the procedural generation stops working and just repeats itsel until the end -Sometimes the camera lock and doesn't follow the character xAxis-wise -There is a bounce(?) that scales with the speed of the background that if you are digging down only, there will be a time that no matter what, you are going to lose because you bounce up so much you are out of the screen -The break stones buff should be repurchasable just like bombs. After the first time it doesn't replenish when dying -Jump digging is very awkward and basically unusable
Other than that, the game, as I said looks very polished, visual and sound wise. Good work and keep it up!

Really pleasing aesthetics and sound, game-wise though, it needs to spawn a little bit more gold because as of now you lose even if you get all the gold available, but that's just a little tweak. Also, that canary breathes gold??? must a hard to mantain pet xD
good atmosphere, music and art! the only thing is that it is a chill game with a chronometre so feelings are mixed lol

Very good audio and indeed chill, the game broke a few times for me, you should make the hitbox of the melee visible, as well as making the "initiate combat" thing only possible when in range

@kory very psyshedelic and pretty nice for a first game on an engine! If I was the developer I would slow down the movement speed a bit, it is hard control especially in the moving "edges".

Damn what a rollercoaster of emotions, first it was pretty chill, then it went to Disco mode and when I found the gold I had been looking for 10 minutes a sad movie credit song came out.
If I could change something about the game it would be something to make the car position correctly as I were facing down for 3 solid minutes. Very fun game overall!

Great game, only thing I would improve is that when the debuff appears you move towars wherever you were going. If I was going to the left, the debuff is "it is harder to go to the right" and an obstacle appears near the left wall, it is impossible to dodge. For the rest, pretty good!

@famicon80 best digging game I've played so far! It's the little details that make it fun, like the moving obstacles, the TNT being careful with the troglodite spawns, the combo system... The only thing a bit confusing was the save button, don't know what that does, it only saves the score for the next run? is it a panic button?
@litmuszest Great music and SFX! However, I would change how the character moves as moving with keyboard feels a little bit wonky and hard to control, maybe something to do with mouse/pointer position? Anyways, solid game. Keep it up!

Could be a fun game but there needs to be more feedback to the player, things like where is he shooting, making an effect when receiving damage, etc. The other aspects where very good but as a game it isn't very fun to play at the moment.
