Art and music are really cool. It could sometimes be hard to tell where I was in relation to the things around me. The level unfolding in front of you is a cool challenge.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD48 → Deep into the vibe

It looks beautiful, the art palette you used was a good choice, and watching everything unfold was sweet
The gameplay is kind of slow, and the transition between platforms is definitely a place that could be tightened up, a great place to add some JUICE
Overall very relaxed feeling and very pretty!
Very pretty game. Good music, too. And as a game, it's a great proof-of-concept. But I didn't have much *fun* if I'm being honest, it's a pretty slow-paced game of "dodge me" and the rate of randomness doesn't seem to have any logic to it whatsoever.
I did really like how you "spun" new layers in. That's some great rhythm game design right there.
@ariorick at the beginning it was motion-sickness.exe but as I kept playing it got more relaxing, great work!
Very much the type of game you can reach a zen state while playing. I really liked the sweet guitar rift. There was a bit of time where I was wondering if there was some way to tell where next platform was gonna stop spinning and I was very happy to realize you actually can figure out where each platform will stop spinning at which takes this game from good to great as you can really enter a sort of zen/flow while playing.
Cool game mechanic and visuals. I like the overall feel. Would like to see more added. Well done.
I'm sorry, police, I'd like to report a crime! Someone stole a level from Sayonara Wild Hearts, yes-yes, with the hypnotic music and teenage-dream-colors, yes, maybe a rouge coder with the intent of creating MORE GAMES! Get a like-gun and a soft blanked, maybe you'll be able to stop him.
Neat game - very relaxing yet engaging. It was a bit hard at the start to get a feel for the platform movement/depth, but past that it was easy to get into the game loop/flow state. Great work!
Really well done, this has potential to be one of those addicting mobile game if you increase the pace.
When I plalyed the game in a browser the music was really glitchy and broken, but windows version is fine. Btw music is awesome. Do you have Soundclound account or something? I would like to hear more of it. It is often hard to tell if I can safely move the character to collect hearts/orbs. I usually get hit by spikes. I like the overall feel and mood of the game (colors, 3D-pixel art graphics, music). Great entry
Well, this is a strong entry for sure. It looks and sounds gorgeous. I found it very frustrating to get the timing right though so I gave up after stepping on them repeatedly. Nonetheless it's a high rating from me!
The spinning effect made it surprisingly hard to dodge before I got used to it, which I apreciace, it's nice a mechanic. Graphics are simple but well made and the music was cool. Nice entry.
I like the concept! The spinning of the platforms was fun and interesting. I could see this being expanded with several more songs!
This is a really, really cool entry. Love the presentation, especially the music! Would like to hear more of your stuff. And the audio and visuals fit together extremely well. As for gameplay, I had trouble understanding the depth/distance of the spikes and the pickups, and there were like 2 or 3 times when my button press didn't register. I also found the controls to be a bit unintuitive – I instinctively wanted to use the left/right keys to rotate my character 90 degrees, rather than hop to a cardinal direction, and I wonder if the way the platforms rotated in sort of primed me to expect that. It may just be a subjective thing, though. But yeah, super vibey and well-packaged overall, excellent work.
Nice beat, nice smooth controls and animations. Was only having a hard time timing my jumps to see where i was going to land
The art and music are super nice and trippy. Gameplay was fun, I think I'd like it if it sped up a bit more as you got farther but I think keeping it at a nice easy pace for ludum dare was a good decision.
It's really pleasant visually, the music works like a charm. The game is a little bit easy but considering you were planning to make this a rythm game i understand. Good job !
Really good job! The game might be too easy but the concept, the graphics and the soundtrack are great! Capture2.PNG
Fun little game, enjoyed the concept but it seems a bit slow paced. Otherwise the artwork and and animations are pretty nice.
Cool game! I was thinking about making a rhythm game a first too but also realized that would be a lot of work for 48hrs. I like the music!
very addicting just wish i would get harder :D
Very nice! I reached the end with a score of 43000 on my second attempt. It reminds me of some flash game I played a long time ago... so nostalgia bonus points for you! I like your version better though, because it is more challenging :stuck_out_tongue: It would be cool to play this in VR, probably because of the nice effects of the world coming towards you. I think your interpretation of the theme is pretty awesome too!
Nice audio and great rythmic game. Overall great VIBE  Good job.
Thank you all for playing and showing interest! Some of you were asking for my soundcloud, so i created an account. There's five tracks, including soundtrack from this game. Sick visuals and music! (I sympathize with the unfortunate Godot web export audio stuttering though..)
@goodwincek Thanks for doing that! For some reason i didn't realise that i can just google this problem. They say to increase audio buffer, but i can't find this setting, so i guess i need to increase latency? Do you know the solution?
@ariorick Yeah, I also tried the latency settings in my exports, but never got it to sound good on the web either. The underlying issue is that Godot audio is processed through the same thread as the rest of the game and can be affected by performance.
Fortunately they are addressing this! In [Godot 3.3](https://godotengine.org/article/godot-3-3-has-arrived#html5) they are supporting multi-threads! I've done test exports and it sounds great!! BUT....
....I would not recommended yet for web export because it can cause all sorts of browser issues with permissions/settings that need to be addressed on the server side (hosts like itchio/etc):

This was really fun! I loved your art style and the rotating mechanic was very cool.
Chill game with good music and nice visuals. It was hard to tell at times exactly where my character was, and I kept jumping into the spikes. Otherwise great job!
Man this music is crazy good in such a short time. Also I ended up with 65000. It feels like a modern retro Tempest. would love to see this one fleshed out :)
Great music and a innovative concept!
Wish I was going downwards for that added depth ;)
@jfroggg, you beat the developer! My maximum score is 60000!
This game has a nice vibe to it. Great job! :)
What an amazing experience. The music is really great and together with the flashy colors and art creates a psychedelic like feel. Well done!
Really cool, love the graphics and the music. Great entry!
@ariorick I took a screenshot just in case! Current record holder? Official World Champ? Also your Soundcloud is amazing to chill and work to btw :)
Cool concept and the music is great. Weirdly found the controls a bit odd as I kept intuitively thinking that I would rotate around rather than jump from spot to spot.
Music is really nice, looks good and runs great! Rotation is fresh too.
The music is wonderful and the idea is great, but the perspective was sometimes difficult to get (like when there's a coin or a heart right after spikes, they were hard to get)
Very cool game! The score is a real blast. The visuals get a little trippy after a while, but I think that's part of the experience. :) Was very fun to play, thanks!
Outstanding music and graphic style! Great job!
fun concept!! the graphics are rly nice and the music sure is a vibe. would love to see this get fleshed out after the jam.
Cool idea, this is very hypnotic, the music is cleary a masterpiece and made the mood alone. This is not very difficult and relaxing, good experimental game. Nice work !
nice game and atmosphere you have here. the one thing i would add is some more feedback when the player gets hit, like an ouch sound.
won me by the music! very chill mood, i love it
i love the mood, good job
This is really well rounded compo entry!
Oh yeah, we vibin'. Really chill, like a modern retrowave remake of the special stages from Sonic 2. Really nice experience, very well done.
very relaxing game, impressive for a compo entry! well done!
Sorry it took me so long to get around to it. Great game! Like the color scheme, the mood, and responsive controls. Only recommendation is to change the control scheme to a left and right movement vs. wasd movement. Can't wait for future updates.
I love the platform spawning effect and the visual style. In addition to the music, it makes for quite a mesmerizing 3 minutes. The gameplay/challenge itself I did find to be a bit monotonous/samey, but I'm okay with that since I got to experience a nice, chilled out track for 3 minutes without getting frustrated. Well done :)
Very good music dude And the game play is simple but effective I'm very impressed by your game It's your first jam?!🤔
Capture.PNG
@elsombrero it is! This is also my first playable somewhat finished project! I'm very surprised by results too. I have another game about a month in developement though, so I've improved my skills quite a bit lately Screenshot 2021-04-29 at 14.08.13.png
It lacks difficulty, you should have accelerated the game over time. That's sad because this lack of difficulty made the game boring over time. However, all the other elements of the game are good, so it's a strong entry at the end of the day.
I found ths bug below, when pressing 2 keys at the same time that are not opposite directions ^^ I liked your game, the music and the mesmerizing style ! Capture-bug.PNG
@graios thanks! Already fixed it in dev version but decided not to update it, cause no one seemed to have found it
Great submission! I loved the aesthetics and the music.
Maybe you could try to make a bit more clearer where the sides are going to end? I think that, at some point, my brain understood that but at first it was a bit frustrating.
Did you consider trying this as a mobile game? I think it could work (and shouldn't be too hard to try, at least on Android, with Godot). It's a bit sad that they still have those bugs with the sounds on the web exports.
I think a full tunnel with diagonals walls could be a great addition on top of this both visually and mechanically! Maybe a checkpoint partially through the song too? Either way, fun entry!
It's a game just to relaxe. First I missed some sounds for pick ups or damage. But after some play I realized its way better without these soundeffecs, just music. I enjoy the game a lot.
Nice game! The music was great (unfortunately it lagged a bit - not sure if that's on my end or a problem with the game) and the gameplay was interesting. My score was 70000!
foto hey! nice mechanic, very unique. I was waiting another level, or maybe something changes color? good graphics and sound, congrats ;)
@jakobthequizguy current known record!
@ariorick oh, awesome :sunglasses:
This was really fun. Took me a second to get used to the controls. I wouldn't say it's "too easy" like some people say, but I felt like I stayed alive longer than I should have.
I don't know how it matches the theme. Pretty good tho! Loved the music and it was fun to play. My score was 48000.

Well done!
Very nice and relaxing game! Really like the visuals and the music to go with it!

Very nice game, I liked the color palette and the graphics. I had a hard time judging where I was in relation to the level ("is it safe to jump onto the wall now or is the spike still in the area where I can get hurt?"), maybe adding a shadow to the character would help this? Seeing how every "chunk" is a tiny bit of a different color it feels like this could make it easier for the player to distinguish where in the space they are. The audio was great as well!
Nice game conpect : the moving system is smooth I like it
Very nice! That beat is sweet (I knew it would be from the moment that first synth kicked in), love it! I like the mechanic, it feels like it deserves to be developed even further, almost feels like a rhythm game, and having things sync to your beat would take it to the next level(although...that's also a whole extra system to build)
Thanks @pat-cleaver! Actually I was trying to make a rhythm game at first, but turns out it’s quite difficult to analyze a song and make a playable level out of it. Btw there’s soundcloud link in case you want to listen to my other tracks: https://soundcloud.com/ariorick/tracks
Quite fun game. I like the mood. The graphics are beautiful, and the sound is very good. The gameplay is very fun and simple. Easy to learn. Congratulations.
Wow, great compo game!
I absolutely loved the music and the art. The simple gameplay is pleasant, the rotating animation add a lot to the game. For simple arcade games like this one, I believe semi randomness or patterns are preferable to pure randomness. Having obstacles positioned in an intended way can force interesting player movement and feel more synchronous with the rhythm even when it's not.
Thanks for the game I had fun!
Impressive game for 48 hours! Inspiring music and graphics! But I missed a “got hit” sound effect, and I was not sure if the tempo of the music was synchronizing with the level itself. Consider doing some small improvements to bring the game to the next level.
