Hey! This was fun! I liked the ways you simplified the "survival" genre to make things like crafting possible with a smaller scope. Also the capsule was hilarious.
Had the same issue with the Mac app. Would be awesome if you could upload a HTML5 version!
This game was so great! I loved it. Really well executed. Particularly enamoured with the persistence. It was very satisfying when I tried to refresh the page after letting it die. Big testament to attention to details and simplicity.
Haha, this was fun! Nice work building a game with new tools in a weekend!
This was fun! Thanks for making it. I couldn't see the spiders for some reason so would mysteriously die. I liked the simple structure and gameplay that had enough depth to be interesting. Had to balance searching for matches vs finding the chopper. Have a good one!
This was fun! I really liked the card game battle minigame. Really easy to understand and quite satisfying.
Hey! This was fun to play. I liked that there were absurd amounts of loot!
Hey! Finally got around to playing your game (thanks for playing mine!). This was pretty cool. I like that it was a new take (puzzle game) on a genre classic.
Hey, any chance you could upload a WebGL version? This looks cool but I'm on Mac!
@feferuco thanks for playing! Yeah the gameplay really suffered, I spent much too long on the systems that tied everything together and not enough time on... making it fun :P
@gajop thanks for playing! Yeah I'm not sure I would want to go in the direction of "explaining" that. The vibe I want to get is say cultivating plants, or breeding animals. You don't really know how the system underneath works you just put things together and see what comes out. I think there needs to be more structure and encouragement in that direction + tools for inspecting the traits of each. Also the way they grow is mostly unsatisfying but sometimes really cool.
My original idea was that it would be social and there would be a public gallery, but I didn't have enough time to build that!
Anyway, thanks!
@syo thanks!
Thanks @freya-c and @jonah! Love to get the serotonin hit of positive feedback!
I think the gameplay could use more “collect and share” mechanics to make it feel more like a collectible system.
Thanks @misterkeefe - the nickname mechanism is a super cool idea! They kind of just grow indefinitely but get slower and slower over time, so they reach a end-ish point. If you leave them open in a tab they can end up getting absurdly big.
@convg thanks for the kind words!
@framboisedodue thanks! I'm glad you found it!
Thank you @mudlee, @herrybiscuit, @noirdrive and @knason. It’s so nice to see people enjoying my weird thing!
@mudlee: Yeah, I think the growing needs to be fast at the start and slow at the end!
@herrybiscuit: Thanks! I quite enjoyed making something weird.
@noirdrive: Thank you so much! I’m not much of a music/audio person - just learning.
@knason: Yeah, the mechanics are not very good for collecting, when the whole fun of this kind of game is collecting! What was I thinking! :P
Uhhhh this was so cool! I really loved the world building, the graphical style and the core time loop mechanic. I find that often game jam games are too hard, but by building a timeloop into it you've made it possible to try and try again to get different outcomes. Very cool. Thanks for making something so interesting!
Thanks! That was fun. The walking animation was really cool. In general nice art. Cheers.
This was fun! Nice work for 7 hours!! I liked the interesting combination of vertical and horizontal restrictions.
Thanks, that was really interesting! I loved the niche presentation of the game through the TV and remote.
Hey! Thanks for making this, was really cool. I'm a web dev so was cool to see the neat things you did.
Hey! This was really cool, thanks for making it. I really like the idea of "delving" into a legendary card, what a cool concept.
This was fun, thanks!
Really enjoyed this. Thanks! Loved the rhythm game aspect.
Haha this was great! I had a good chuckle and enjoyed how many "things going wrong" you managed to fit in such a small space!
Nice work! I really liked how the sphere getting smaller and smaller naturally increases the difficulty.
Cool to see a task management game in LD! I liked the game design but it was quite slow (as others have said).
Hey, any chance you could build a Web or Mac version? Looks great!
@ethan-hammonds no worries, thanks anyway!
Hahaha this was so weird and fun. Cool experience. Would love to have tighter controls, and higher "stakes" in the more action-y parts. But very fun and funnny otherwise!
This was fun! I feel like I broke the game very quickly but then kept playing anyway? I guess that's idle games. Nice work!
Hahaha, this was really fun! Thanks for making it. You managed to make some classic gameplay have really good gamefeel.
Thanks for making this! I found the use of the minesweeper mechanic really interesting. I thought it was a really cool way to design a strategy game. You also added a lot of cool details on top which worked really well. I was a bit disappointed by the balance of the game. I found just clicking and attacking everything was the best way to play, which meant it lost the strategy element. With better balancing this would be super fun!
@drewstillwell @doc-kaos Thanks so much!
@bkelly Thanks! I definitely tweaked difficulty in a few different ways and haven't landed on something I love.
@cheesepencil Haha, thanks! I really like flat colours but could probably have gone a little bit of shadow and texture in there.
@turkey Cheers! Yeah I ended up running out of time to sort out the character and the camera. Would have liked better camera and a ragdoll character that re-orients.
Thanks @rhoff95 and @listonos! Very helpful feedback.
@loig Thanks heaps!
@acdia A proximity noise is a really good idea, would help assist in being more intuitively reactive.
@redspine Thanks!!
@ariorick Cheers, I'll check out your game!
@joonamo Thanks! Yeah I was testing it in the little unity player for ages, then first time I played it full screen WOW.
@chensu Thanks for playing!
@mudlee you've gotta click the moon to start!
This was fun! I really liked your artwork and the sound design was great. I tried finishing it twice, but I found the controls really hard. Especially because my mouse can't left + right click at the same time! Cheers anyway, nice work.
Thanks for making this! I couldn't figure out how to finish it, but clicked around a lot and read everything.
Thanks this was fun! I found the controls really difficult to remember so kept killing myself lol. The combo of puzzle + intensity was a good way to make it fun. Nice!
Hey! Any chance you could do a Web build? Would be keen to try it but only have a Mac.
This was fun! Thanks for making it. I didn't get particularly far in because I found the puzzles too hard. But really cool vibe and neat to see a puzzlescript game in the compo.
Thanks for this! I thought the mechanic was quite interesting. And the art is great!
That was fun! I liked the hidden object mechanic.
This was really fun! I loved your art style and the rotating mechanic was very cool.
