LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Scriptless Pipes by Turkey 2021-04-26T04:11:57Z

God, every time I work with HTML & CSS I'm reminded why I hate working with HTML & CSS... The browser has no right to be able to do this, it's an abomination. Why you can make a game that's compelling at all with just that is beyond me...

But anyways, it's nice and simple. I like it more as a tech demo than a game though...

Slimes and Sandwiches by Nick Rafalski 2021-04-26T03:46:05Z

This is certainly a good use of the theme, and actually the first dungeon crawler I've played here so far (I was expecting a lot more). My biggest gripe is the controls. They seem really weird somehow, like it's hard to get your player to go where you want... but overall, very cute. Like a miniature Doom.

GalactiRogue by Pagefile 2021-04-26T03:40:32Z

The nebulae are very pretty :) I also loved the trails showing you how fast you're going, like in Star Wars. But other than that tbh there's not much here ... the controls are hard to use and there's nothing to do. But I feel like you could take this in a lot of directions.

For Whom The Diving Bell Tolls by Jakob Willforss 2021-04-25T20:40:44Z

Oooh... this game is spooky. I made it to the bottom once and realized I really needed to read the notes to get the good ending. I love the stereo watery sound. The harpoon was satisfying to use, but I found the physics a little floaty. Maybe increase the friction on the ground next time so it doesn't feel like ice... but overall I quite liked it!

Deep Dive in Hyperspace by TaliOS 2021-04-26T03:50:41Z

Man, making combos is super satisfying and juicy! But, the floaty controls make the rest of the game a little hard to deal with. This game is sort of a reverse-bullet-hell and in most bullet hells you have *super* precise controls ... maybe take a page out of their book.

Other than that, this was quite nice. Maybe add some kind of mechanic where you have to build up your dash over time, so you have to alternate between dodging and smashing through asteroids?

STARPOON by RedSPINE 2021-04-27T21:34:44Z

wow, this is so cute! I love the rhodes and the 16 bit music ... it reminds me of 140 almost, but cozy.

Altum by Choppers 2021-04-26T03:55:23Z

I got a weird error... and I never figured out what to do :( But from what little I managed to play I liked it. I like the dual-purpose design; by removing an asteroid you keep it from being an anchor point. I imagine the endgame is a frantic scramble around to find the last asteroids needed to escape.

Find The Page! by Rouge_dragon 2021-04-26T02:15:25Z

Wow that is fun! This game kinda already exists but I do like your wrapper around it. If it ain't broke don't fix it and I would never have thought of the wikipedia game as being "deeper and deeper".

This might be the stupidest game I've ever played. It was hilarious. The entire premise is stupid, you have to say stupid things out loud with a stupid voice and not absolutely die laughing at what you are saying, and then you have to listen to yourself back. I usually hate listening to my voice but this was just too funny. The number of jokes in this is just too good too. Bosnian Ape Society, breaking the 4th wall, breaking breaking the 4th wall, and Mr McGuffin ... hahahaha

My only gripe is it doesn't conform with the theme too much. You're asked to go deep, but not deeper *and deeper*...

I got a 72.68 btw!

Seconding what other people said, I think you forgot to publish your game on itch...
