LD46 — Keep it alive

Bobbleheads want to dance by jk5000 2020-04-22T15:13:43Z

Cute! Nice story! From a gameplay perspective, it would have been nice to be able to "flick" them more powerfully to make them bobble longer. I expected this behaviour so I kept intuitively trying to click and hold or drag or swipe but realized it didn't do that.

Unit 21 by a333 2020-04-21T00:08:14Z

Whoa, you're art is very pleasing to look at! I love the opening cutscene! It's cool to see a turn based tactical game on a game jam!

Torchkick by Wekaj 2020-04-23T14:39:59Z

Very solid game, AND WELL DONE for having such a unique game mechanic and game loop and interpretation of the theme! I'm impressed! That 3rd level took SOOO many tries for me, but it's rewarding when you start to get the hang of it.

Flower Dreams by BradCode 2020-04-20T03:56:01Z

Is this a good score? That was fun! flowers.PNG

Flower Dreams by BradCode 2020-04-20T03:57:56Z

Site is being weird. Did my comment with screenshot show up?

Aviarium by AidanMarkham 2020-04-23T15:52:21Z

Incredible! Well done! I played the whole way through and had fun! birdgame.png

Aviarium by AidanMarkham 2020-04-23T20:32:37Z

@aidanmarkham I posted your game ;) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/satisfyn-keep-the-love-alive/$207461

SIPHON by OldBlack 2020-04-22T15:25:05Z

Well done! I love the visual feedback and smearing when you kill stuff!

DJ Data Bender by binroot 2020-04-20T03:03:20Z

This was the most fun game I played on here yet! I just kept going!

BLIP! by Lucien Catonnet 2020-04-21T01:13:58Z

Hey this was surprisingly fun and challenging! Honestly at first I could not figure out the controls, and unfortunately that meant it took forever for me to figure out how to select the "controls" option to view them. lol! After I got started and figured it out, I was like, "ok hold, up, I'm gonna solve this!" Great mechanics! Nice animations! Edit: I just noticed the controls listed in this page. I just scrolled past and launched the game. :)

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-20T03:31:03Z

Friggin hilarious! I was DYING of laughter!

Pizza with a Pulse by slimabob 2020-04-20T03:31:19Z

"Dis pizza tastes like from old country." LOL

Tyson Lee: KEEP IT ALIVE EDITION by CPTN-B 2020-04-22T14:56:44Z

This is really cool and challenging! I think there's a bug though, because I definitely did not solve number 3, but it check marked it anyway.

Lich Clicker by Fictions 2020-04-21T01:49:45Z

Very well done! I love the art style and the little touches like voice acting! Nice job adding new elements to keep it always interesting and enticing to keep playing to see what is unlocked next.

Crystal Defense by Ryvencore 2020-04-20T02:39:13Z

The art style is headed in a unique cool direction. Needs more work, and I would make it harder or faster somehow. It's too easy to be fun as it is right now.

Turbine Troubles by FussenKuh 2020-04-20T04:01:00Z

I don't think it was registering my clicks when it should. Or maybe I misunderstood how it works.

Turbine Troubles by FussenKuh 2020-04-20T04:15:58Z

@fussenkuh ah, I gotcha, however it would only fire once and then I would have to click all over the screen to find some where that it would let me shoot again.

Dog From Hell by aplite 2020-04-23T16:01:31Z

Seems like I couldn't actually throw the ball. It just gets set on floor. Was there something I didn't understand? I saw the controls.

Quest for Cake by Juutis 2020-04-22T15:41:37Z

It's an interesting challenge how you don't exactly control the dog reaching to eat stuff, just where it walks.

Type IT! by Hedgy 2020-04-23T14:27:49Z

A classic typing game! Sweet! I would suggest a more colorful palette, and also I should point out that I was playing on "Easy" mode and like the 5th word I had to type was something like "inauguratible" or something long and weird like that, and it spawned like 2 inches from "IT" so I had no time to even process what I was seeing. (Hence why I can't remember exactly what the word was.)

DITAZURE by BJakubowski 2020-04-20T02:03:10Z

Terrifying sound! I would make it so that there's a delay when you die, cause I can never see my high score because as I'm shooting I lose and then immediately restart before seeing anything.

CRASH OR LIVE (HTML5 & Windows) by woody_builder 2020-04-22T18:34:39Z

It's got potential but I'm not crazy about the lack of control. You can go up, but if there's something in your way upward, there's nothing you can do to avoid it.

Zero by omercanbalandi 2020-04-20T04:05:40Z

I lOVE the art! I couldn't figure out what to do after I explored everything.

Dad Day by mudlee 2020-04-20T04:15:06Z

This is funny and morbid! Nice! Rather than try to win I ended up just trying to find all the ways I could kill the babies. lol

Coronary Flypass by squirmonkey 2020-04-20T03:24:18Z

I kept dropping the heart! THis cracks me up! well done!

Super Realistic Parachute Simulator by hamrathdoesldjam 2020-04-22T22:04:50Z

Very solid entry! I greatly appreciate the controller compatibility! The physics of player movement was challenging in the right way while still very usable and understandable.

Rock Raiser by SpliceDev 2020-04-20T03:15:35Z

I get that the intent is to be something you come back to often, like a Tamagotchi right?

Life by pke1029 2020-04-20T12:12:50Z

At first I was worried that "based on" really just meant straight up copy, but you did a nice new take on it, and I'm happy to see a new mode too! Well done!

Plant Boy by cannedveg 2020-04-20T02:21:20Z

The art looks great! Unfortunately it seems the character keeps walking off screen when I am not pressing anything. It's not you. It does that with any Unity game for me. DOn't know why.

In A Game Wherein by SSStormy 2020-04-20T03:46:05Z

So meta! I love it! I played through twice and broke it! ;) agamewherin.PNG

Dave's Birthday Party by GoldenEvolution 2020-04-22T15:05:46Z

Nice! I love the simplicity of control/play, and the dynamics of how losing a balloon makes you fall faster which is both a good and bad thing as far as helping you go faster but more dangerous.

WALL-E get the water! by SideKick 2020-04-20T03:52:28Z

I would recommend letting the player press a button to continue past text

Not Clowning Around! by Wilson Taylor 2020-04-20T01:50:38Z

Haha! This game me a real laugh! Very well done! I LOVE the "uhhh" sound when you press menu buttons!

Don't Blow It by Teun de Vries 2020-04-20T12:17:02Z

Very unique game mechanic with the balloon movement trying to not get popped! I dig it! Your interface doesn't seem to scale correctly thought. Also I would recommend making the player automatically restart rather than go back to the menu. When it restarts, they are likely to keep trying over and over, but every time you show them the menu, you are inviting them to quit. Just a tip. ;)

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-20T03:17:57Z

@polypickle I'm glad you found them! I'm assuming that means you found your way to hell? And became a master? ;) (I realize it's ambiguous what the secrets could be, and the game doesn't explicitly tell you that you found them. I would have loved to have time to add a list of achievements/possible endings to try and find.

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-20T03:19:20Z

@kromeboy It could go on forever. You could try to get a billion dollars! lol, but that's not one of the 2 secret? I'll just say, once you find a way to try to escape living, and when you achieve "mastery" you will have found the two "endings"

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-20T03:20:21Z

@sacrface I'm so glad you found the secrets! Sorry about the car noise. For some reason ALL of the sounds ended up sounding worse in the build as opposed to in the Unity editor.

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-20T11:51:32Z

@slimabob That's really encouraging to hear! Thank you so much for the feedback!

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-20T11:53:29Z

@owl-skip THanks for the feedback. I agree. Sound was the most "after-thought" part of this for me, as this was the first time I ever attempted at making my own sounds. I would have liked less retro 8-bit sounding and more like you said, gels with the visual and gameplay style better.

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-20T11:54:49Z

@magnusfurcifer Oh you were so close! See what happens when you get 10 of them! ;) But thanks for the feedback and for playing!

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-20T11:57:00Z

@robinerd Thanks for the feedback! Yes that sound turned out awful! lol! It's not super intuitive, but once you have the car you can at-will toggle it on/of by pressing space when you are not in a building. For now the ultimate goal is the ninja dojo. Did you find it and unlock it's secret? ;)

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-20T14:42:36Z

@dani-desa Ooooh, you were pretty close to finding the other secret then! Getting out was an intentional bug, but you gotta go FURTHER out ;)

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-20T14:45:33Z

@ssstormy yeah I whipped the music together as fast as possible by just hitting record and mashing some keys randomly with no plan. haha

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-21T00:26:42Z

@ironygames I agree, a closure state or acknowledgement that you achieve an "ending" would be nice. Thanks for the feedback.

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-21T00:27:21Z

@vex , yep that's it!

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-21T00:28:48Z

@taran-unraveler I'm pleased that you enjoyed it, and I guess it's a good sign if you wished it had lasted longer.

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-21T01:38:27Z

@noucake I appreciate you taking the time to figure it out and give feedback!

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-21T01:39:18Z

@kunonooni YEs! I'm glad to hear you found all the game's (few) secrets! I would have loved to add lots more little easter eggs to find.

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-21T15:17:20Z

@horus your feedback means a lot! I'm glad you were so thrilled and shocked by the kid popping out! haha! I wish I had time to put in more milestones/eastereggs to discover, but alas, I ran out of time. Becoming a millionaire surely should have been one of them. You were completely justified in expecting something to happen there. Also, yes the car sound was WAY worse in the final build than how it sounded in editor for some reason.

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-21T15:19:00Z

@maindric , yep you got it!

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-21T15:20:23Z

@fat-cat there's not a way to "beat" the game, but if you maxed out your meters, bought a car, found the secret hidden within the Dojo, and tried to "escape" then you found everything.

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-21T21:03:29Z

@hcursino That's great to hear! Thank you so much for the kind feedback! Sounds like the only thing you didn't do was find your way to hell in the game! ;) (That's the second secret)

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-21T22:59:50Z

@hacktrout I cracked up reading your comment! :D Thanks for your feedback! I agree the car sound didn't turn out well.

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-23T14:29:20Z

@guille Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad it held your attention enough for you to end up figuring it out and giving it a shot! Thanks!

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-23T20:25:06Z

@eldar You indeed found the two secrets! I'm so glad you found it enjoyable! I agree the car noise turned out awful. Thanks so much for the kind feedback!

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-24T02:17:45Z

@pietro-ferrantelli thanks so much for the kind feedback! I'm happy you found it so humorous and that you found the secrets!

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-24T15:19:40Z

@marcusnystrand thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you like the run animation! :)

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-25T20:44:55Z

@hwaet I'm glad you appreciate those touches and some would take for granted. :) Thanks for the feedback!

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-25T20:45:55Z

@g-a-gamestudio I agree, that would have been an improvement. Or SOME way of indicating there was more for the player to do, and incentive to keep going.

Satisfy'n: Keep the Love Alive by BlackOpsBen 2020-04-25T20:46:22Z

@patsui that's a hilarious description! I dig it!

Keep it Ali...ens! by Eldar 2020-04-23T14:33:26Z

I like the retro look. Totally something I would play as a kid. The controls were really frustrating though. I would recommend making it smoother and easier to move around.

Bomber Escort (or boomer escort) by thatOtherNerd 2020-04-20T02:45:40Z

Dude this is sick! Some sounds and music would take this a long way, but what you have is on to something great!

Star Buffs by MAJK_FL 2020-04-22T14:47:34Z

THat was very difficult. I couldn't tell if the boost was even doing anything. THe graphics look good, but I would go for more visual feedback.

DON`T DIE STAY ALIVE! by PenguinBob 2020-04-23T12:15:58Z

I like it! Has potential. I'll admit I read the title wrong. I thought it said, "Don't stay alive" and that really intrigued me, so I was a little disappointed that it wasn't about trying to die as quickly as possible. haha! But seriously, well done. I would recommend making it a little faster and feel a little snappier.

Nature by rjerez192 2020-04-20T02:50:58Z

Link broken. Let me know when working. ;)

Angry Aphid by scifi6546 2020-04-20T02:05:56Z

Pretty minimal, but unique idea! I could see this being a classic arcade game!

Hosted by pulkit garg 2020-04-20T02:53:35Z

I can't seem to play most downloaded games. But I like the bit I was able to read through

Ozwomp Is Arriving by Melonking 2020-04-23T14:13:19Z

I would figure out a different control scheme, cause that was very difficult and cumbersome to move around it. It wasn't clear what, if anything, I was supposed to do besides "wait" which isn't really a fun game loop.

Cabral Soldado Heroico by Rustimak 2020-04-24T02:15:12Z

¡Me gusta los gráficos y la tema! ¿Como los hiciste? Son voxeles? ¡Buen trabajo!

Life of the Party by sirsnowy7 2020-04-20T03:07:13Z

I love the art! It seems the controls don't work as they are described on the startup screen though. A and C dont do anything.

Super Ultimate Wave Defender by zagony2613 2020-04-23T14:51:35Z

Very well done, and very fun! I beat it! Capture.PNG I even hopped on top of some of the bombs and rode them around while shooting at them! lol I would suggest fine-tuning the placement cause there were moments when it looks like there was enough room for a turret somewhere but it wouldn't let me place it.

Social Life by CharlieGray 2020-04-20T01:58:06Z

Pretty chill. That's sweet you have a color blind mode that looks pretty dope as well! Minor "bug" though, you can kind just keep scrolling the mouse constantly and the game seems to be much easier.

TimeSlayer TM by GoblinQueen 2020-04-20T02:42:15Z

Incredible! This is very well done, relatable, and deep! Two games in one! lol

EICON TOWN by Sacrface 2020-04-20T02:00:51Z

Broken link. SUbscribing to thread to see when you upload it. :)

EICON TOWN by Sacrface 2020-04-20T03:50:00Z

It would be great if the controls were shown in the game world rather than on a giant wall of text.

Social Distancing For LadyBugs by mehrdadsh 2020-04-22T15:28:06Z

This is exactly the kind of game I would have been hooked on as a little kid! My recommendation would be to reward hitting large numbers of bugs at a time. Perhaps a chime sounds each time you kill a bug, and the more bugs at once the higher the pitch and intensity/fan-fare. Hitting 10 at once should look and FEEL like a great deal!

Save the Penguin by MECHORD AND MECHOH 2020-04-20T02:56:58Z

What a strange theme! ;)

Dog Feeder by plantleaf 2020-04-20T02:16:17Z

HAHA! I loved the game end text! That's morbid and hilarious!!!!

IN THE ANCIENT RUINS WITH AN IDIOT by LeonardoMarques 2020-04-22T22:11:54Z

This has SO much potential but as it is currently it's super frustrating to play. I gave up much too soon cause the way it restarts is super jarring, and the timing has to be PERFECT.

Get To The Chopper! by DevParty 2020-04-22T22:06:45Z

For some reason I flew off the screen right away and couldn't get back.

Darryl in Distress by KieranCoppins 2020-04-20T02:10:09Z

I did it! This is adorable! daryl.PNG

Little Restaurant of Horrors by Goldfish Games 2020-04-23T14:22:44Z

This held my attention pretty well! It was a fun little adventure to see what was going to happen. I figured out that I could just press S on someone without having to press Space first, and only had to place one bowl of soup. I was able to go in and out of the room repeatedly and continually send someone to the hybrid over and over. Maybe that was a bug. Was there a different ending besides being eaten after the manager appears?

Cabbage Defender by Nerd Everyday 2020-04-20T02:50:08Z

Unique take on defending something! A different button for shooting would have been nice. My finger is tired! lol

pestilentia by ATTX 2020-04-22T22:17:56Z

HAHA! THe whole time I thought I was protecting the white ones and avoiding the grey ones.

The floor is lava! by CuriouslyCory 2020-04-20T12:08:48Z

Move over, Cuphead! lol, jk, but yeah this is SUPER challenging! I wouldn't make it any less difficult in terms of how the mechanics work, but I would recommend making the powerups have a bigger pickup radius. Well done!

The floor is lava! by CuriouslyCory 2020-04-20T12:09:24Z

And yes, let the spacebar or something else trigger restart so I don't have to get reaching for my mouse. :)

dry dry by Nathan123 2020-04-20T02:00:14Z

This is really well done! I'm glad I had a controller already plugged in ready to go! That lightning is super sweet and an intense challenge!

The Game of our Lives by Owl_Skip 2020-04-20T04:09:17Z

I like a good sit back and listen kinda of "game." This was nice! I would have loved to have you continue to talk about stuff for much longer.

Mid-air Repair by ZackMason 2020-04-20T03:37:59Z

ooh this is tricky! Very clever! I love all the other planes zooming by!

Life Ablaze by Gerbo 2020-04-20T01:54:26Z

I dig the art and music. Well done! I am not too sure I understand what I am doing though. I keep losing just a second after I start and I can't tell why. My HP is full. Is there something I'm missing?

Keep Your Rage Alive! by cateye 2020-04-20T02:13:36Z

I beat it! That TNT explosion sound CRACKED ME UP! This might have made my rage greater though. It was like being in a dream trying to fight off a badguy. You ever have that?

RoboRepair! by brndncn 2020-04-22T20:25:29Z

The idea is cool, and the graphic style is interesting, however the controls and camera movement make it a pain to navigate. I would recommend making the movement be relative to the viewer, not to the world.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Drilling With Dice by KunoNoOni 2021-04-30T13:08:48Z

I like the idea, but I haven't got a clue what is going on, even after reading instructions. There is no in-game feedback to show me what any of my decisions or results are doing. With better in-game tutorial and feedback this has great potential to be really fun!

Deepz Explorez by khaotom 2021-04-26T03:06:57Z

Well done! The look and feel as well as sound are very nice! Unfortunately, it seems you might be using the old input system, which makes downloaded Unity games virtually unplayable for me for some reason. The only games I've gotten to work when downloaded are done with the new input system. No idea why. (Or maybe this IS the new input system, and there's something terribly wrong with my PC?)

Arctic Drilling Team Simulator by Flatgub 2021-05-03T11:54:32Z

This has a lot of potential but currently there isn't enough visual/audio feedback to help guide the player towards what to do. Had I not noticed the playback buttons at the top I might have sat there for a while wondering why nothing was happening. I think what would be helpful is some sort of indication of what is happening when a character is in a certain room.

Deep Space Journey by aaranos 2021-05-01T22:14:03Z

Some sfx for button press feedback would plus it up a little, and perhaps some reason to click or not click on each of the buttons on each planet. It currently feels maybe TOO open for me to just keep clicking. Has potential I think to be really fun! BTW, I appreciated your post saying no need to install anything! ;)

CTRL BASE ZERO by ted 2021-05-03T02:51:23Z

That was a little anti-climactic, but the mood was set really well and quite eerie. I would recommend doing work on anticipating how players will unintentionally (or intentionally) and invariably break your game. For instance, first thing I did before going to the first door was take a left and crank the handle. Then I went to the door and got the message indicating that something needed to be cranked first. I went back to the crank but couldn't interact with it. I thought I had broken the game and was unable to progress so I was about to quit, before realizing I simply had to interact with the door again. The generator thing was weird too, because it was already on, but got a message saying I needed to find a generator to turn on. The bot thing was hilarious though! "Oh no, who could be taking these fuses from these bots?" TWO SECONDS LATER "I guess I'll take this fuse from this bot."

HyperJack by pkenney 2021-04-29T11:54:18Z

hyperjack.png

Well done getting a game done despite feeling like you wasted time at the start of the jam. I did too. I didn't have anything started until the following morning 11 hours after it started. I'm glad you and I didn't give up!

You found an interesting interplay of mechanics! I was sorta hoping it would be more of an exploration digging game not a tetris style game, but this is definitely a very unique take on that genre!

Deep Space by Neowedge 2021-05-09T13:18:23Z

This was super fun, but it's too bad the Hull Repair doesn't work. It just takes your money but doesn't repair your hull. Also the weapon speed upgrades seem to do nothing as well.

Fallen Shovel by silkworm_sweatshop 2021-04-27T12:07:20Z

This is the most fun compo game I've found so far! I love the mechanics and the 7 deadly sins theme! The "lust" one was especially clever. Well done!

Nuclear Chaos by pixlark 2021-04-29T03:31:44Z

This made me laugh out loud for my Sisyphean efforts! Nice idea!

The Deep Inferno by neonian 2021-05-05T11:49:06Z

This was very fun and well polished, but I was super sad to discover that it didn't matter how well I played because the final boss seemed to not take damage. I went from like 16 guys who were very upgraded, to losing.deepInferno.png

Dieper & Deaper by Chartle 2021-05-04T12:17:24Z

Nicely done! I loved that you could disguise as a cactus! This was a simple but very well polished game! I like the dialog system but some times the individual character sounds were quiet and paired in a way that it sounded way too quiet or unspoken. It's impressive though!

Depth Charge by Fatsheep 2021-04-26T12:07:21Z

I couldn't play it. Are you using the new input system or the old one? I _think_ it's whenever someone uses the old input system it makes the horizontal axis always stuck fully to the left, making games unplayable. No idea why. Sad because this looks super cool and I love the theme/objective! Graphics are well done too! Great job doing this for the compo!

Depth Charge by Fatsheep 2021-04-26T18:12:39Z

@fatsheep no, no controllers or anything. It's so bizarre.

Deepest Sword by Strega 2021-04-29T12:25:59Z

This was infuriatingly difficult, but tremendously rewarding! The most time I've spent on a jam game so far I think! capture.PNG Well done making the environment work for each sword length in different ways!

Dwarf Deep by aevek 2021-04-26T03:35:07Z

This is incredibly fun! Well done! You've created what feels like a large game because the gameplay loop is so tight!

Lonely Journey by blockerz 2021-04-27T00:36:27Z

I clicked yours cause we both had similar premises to our games. Yours is a little more techy though. Not 100% clear what to do with each thing. I love the concept though!

FlickWest by wolderado 2021-04-29T03:23:11Z

This is SOO MUCH FUN! I love it! Well done! You definitely found the fun! Perhaps it could use just a little more "juice" and feedback during the planning phase, but it's incredibly satisfying when you pull off a kill!

Dangerous Mine by fraanns 2021-05-06T12:48:19Z

I'm so glad you made it so the mouse click can be held down instead of rapidly clicking! The movement seemed sticky around edges. It was hard to climb back out.

Dice Explorer by Solah 2021-04-29T15:21:03Z

I want to love this really badly. I'm afraid I didn't have as much fun as what this has potential for, just because the randomness seemed to only ever give me stuff with paths on the right but never left. It felt like a bug. I never made it anywhere.

Dice Explorer by Solah 2021-04-29T16:40:27Z

@solah gasp!!! I'm going to try again!!! Thanks!

Dice Explorer by Solah 2021-04-29T16:45:51Z

I got stuck here and can't figure out how to advance. No buttons are doing anything. capture.PNG

Deeper Into Enemy Lines! by Ganny 2021-04-29T19:49:31Z

Very well done, and very fun! It would have been nice if there was something else you could order a unit to do, such as take cover, or skirmish or something. But great job overall!

Ovuli by Wabble 2021-04-26T04:30:36Z

Wow. You did it. You made SFW game about s 3 x. lol! The "launch" sound cracked me up!

Drilbert by wheybags 2021-05-05T23:16:08Z

Very innovative and unique, but oh so stressful! lol! Well done overall!

Deep Down 2 by Nyunesu 2021-04-29T19:15:37Z

Very well done and polished! The only thing I thought would make it feel better is something when you ground pound, and perhaps a functioning reason why to ground pound other than to bounce on the up blocks. Overall really good and fun!

Bunny Bunny Dig Dig by ZakAmana 2021-05-05T23:43:22Z

Incredibly well done!

DigDig by Pixelhurricane 2021-04-27T00:29:46Z

That was really good! I love the interesting mechanics and decisions you have to make because of the various dig speeds as well as inability to to back up. Nicely done!

Deep space by ancooper 2021-04-26T03:29:28Z

Unless I missed something, it seems there wasn't much to do. I couldn't tell what each of the interactable were supposed to do. This has a lot of potential though! Were you going for a sorta "Overcooked" or "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" vibe?

Deep Delivery by pvp 2021-04-29T15:25:47Z

I was about to quit playing because it seemed so broken, before I realized I was SUPPOSED to go down that pit with the warning sign. I thought I just had to get my ball/chain thing to touch the delivery and avoid falling into pits. lol! I would have liked the control to be more responsive. It feels sluggish. I like the look of it though!

DESCENT by Zephi_Sero 2021-04-29T19:36:45Z

This was a blast to play! Although once fast enough you never have to move because the objects are moving past you so fast the colliders never detect you.

Ocelot Safari by pancelor 2021-05-05T23:11:19Z

This was oceLOT of fun (I didn't bother to look at the comments to see if I was the 100th person to make that joke) until I got stuck like this! Well done overall!ocelot.png

Just Dig by TwoWolf 2021-04-28T15:09:45Z

The graphics and sound are great! Well done! I feel like I'm missing something though because no matter how well I think I'm going, I can barely grab the first coin before losing. It's WAY too fast. This has great potential to be incredible fun, but, unless I was missing a key mechanic, it's unplayable. Judging by other comments who seem to have made progress, I'm guessing there's something really important that I don't know.

20.000 LIGHT YEARS deep in THE SKY by Arivenzys 2021-04-28T15:23:08Z

Incredibly well done! My only feedback would be to add more sound effects such as when you are traveling and clicking on things. Great job! I think I see the issue regarding URP as we discussed. It's my browser that doesn't work which is why it seemed to me like my game didn't work at first. Your game didn't run using the Brave browser, but does run on Edge.

Deeplift by CaptAndrey 2021-05-03T02:55:50Z

This has potential. As it is currently it felt like there was so little rhyme or reason to it that there was no way to be smart and solve it other than "brute force" which meant that even when I solved it I didn't feel at all clever or skilled for having done so. I dig the color and art style though!

Fall Queen by MKRaw 2021-04-26T00:52:02Z

First game I've played this jam! This is hilariously infuriating! I love the mechanics and the feel. I could see this being the next Flappy Bird! lol! I'll be sure to rate as soon as we can!

Space Dwarf by DesertMaw 2021-04-30T13:03:31Z

Very well done! I loved the diversity of enemies! I would recommend using a different cursor since the aiming is based on your mouse position on screen. And some sort of pickups would have been nice to feel more rewarded and have a reason to keep going deeper. Nicely done overall!

Archeo by zimny11 2021-04-29T19:26:27Z

This was pretty cool and fun but I felt the timer aspect was unnecessary. Would be fun to casually just keep digging deeper and deeper.

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-26T03:15:05Z

@dr-v Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-26T03:16:38Z

@the-neon-shark I intentionally priced everything such that no matter what you buy you'll always have enough starting gold left to buy at least 1 Alchemist to then start getting an income. That's a fun idea though to have a "comically slow" income! Maybe you get fractions of a coin per second that you can't even spend on anything! haha

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-26T03:17:07Z

@wizkid I'm glad you appreciated my voice acting and theme! Thanks for playing!

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-26T11:48:31Z

@metadept @ben-taylor thanks for playing!

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-26T11:50:40Z

@ubershmekel thanks for the feedback! Yes the laser is in my opinion the worst part of the game. It's the only sound I used a synth generator for, as opposed to recording myself. It was supposed to be a placeholder. I never got around to it but ultimately I wanted the ships to shoot at you, destroying sections of your ship, but that would have made it less of an "idle game" I supposed. I would have loved to get around to making a dynamic camera so you still see the action when the ship is absurdly huge.

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-26T11:53:49Z

@ancooper glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!

@jafcraze Great to hear!! haha! Yes, it would be nice to have a count of things. Yeah I was conflicted about whether or not the modules should change price like the upgrades.

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-26T18:14:21Z

@fatebreak Glad to hear it! Thanks for playing!

@zykra Thanks for the feedback! My initial plan was to allow you to be the one to hit the launch button.

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-27T00:01:34Z

@mockthebear haha that's awesome, glad to hear it!

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-27T04:08:42Z

@saintchristopher777 Glad you love it! I'll have to check out those games!

@blockerz I'm glad to hear it was fun and that you appreciated my voice acting.

@therdre There is no limit except what your computer can handle! I spent no time with optimizing so theoretically you could play until your computer runs out of ram and crashes! lol

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-27T20:48:36Z

@silkworm-sweatshop thanks for the compliments and feedback!

@kromeboy yeah it would be nice to eventually unlock more expensive things to buy in addition to making old things more expensive.

@audiobusting haha yes!! You got to the kill screen, er, I mean, the win screen! You win! Thanks so much!

@threeli I'm glad you enjoyed it! I wish it wasn't quite so open-ended. I wasn't "planning" to, but I am considering it. I'd like to!

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-28T15:14:33Z

@traffle sadly I didn't get to finish my intentions for the ships. I wanted them to shoot at and destroy sections of your ship.

@laurent thanks! Yes, I think that's a great suggestion. I was on the fence but I think the prices should increase in some way.

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-28T15:26:40Z

@lepoulet thanks so much! I appreciate that! Your voice acting was great too! It adds a really nice touch!

@freamdev haha, so glad to hear that! I'm glad it's humorous! No end game I'm afraid, but I'm stoked that you had a good time playing!

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-29T03:34:53Z

@caladrius Thanks so much! I'm glad you appreciate my voice acting.

@szymski that's fair. :) I wanted more time to increase the stakes by having ships shoot at and destroy you, as well as goal milestones with an ultimate goal of going faster than light and breaking the universe. lol

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-29T11:43:37Z

@wolderado Thanks! I'm glad it was fun! Yes, I was going for a sort of clicker game feel.

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-29T20:56:59Z

@tim77 thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback! The "combat" was the only thing I had planned but couldn't implement in time. There are these Human ships (instead of aliens, eh?) that start to appear and fly near you. Your guns will shoot them down. I wanted to have the Humans shoot at your modules destroy them.

There was no end goal, but as one of my friends put it, "you win in your heart." ;)

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-04-30T13:09:56Z

@desertmawtobi Yes, agreed. It gets out of hand lol! Thanks so much for playing!

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-05-01T22:15:43Z

@healthire I'm pleased to know it was satisfying, albeit not challenging. Thanks for the feedback!

@solah Glad you liked it! I'm proud of you for getting the data costs to overflow 1 digit! haha!

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-05-04T12:01:56Z

@pkenney I'm glad you enjoyed it and appreciated the voice acting! I'm sorry about the laser sounds, and confusion. I think maybe I need to stop using Bfxr for sounds cause those are always the sounds that bother people in my games. The people you were shooting were the humans. ;) Thanks so much for playing and offering feedback!

Well done getting the unspoken goal of traveling faster than light!!!

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-05-05T00:45:08Z

@zimny11 I'm so glad you love the name! haha! Great feedback. The prices definitely need to increase. Thanks!

Space Dwarf Alchemist Go! by BlackOpsBen 2021-05-16T03:09:42Z

@nonumbersgames I'm thrilled you enjoyed it while it lasted! Yes, in hindsight I totally agree I should have scaled up the purchase prices of the stuff on the left. I don't know why I intentionally did NOT scale those prices.

Fire in the hole! by Arttu Halonen 2021-05-03T11:47:27Z

The particle effects are very well done! The game is a little too easy as you can currently just spam click to shoot while the enemy simply shoots one shot per second or so.

Crab vs Clam by Lopapagames 2021-04-29T03:26:55Z

It's simple, but charming. It's hard to feel like there's a purpose or any "stakes" but it's got potential. I love the cute graphics! Well done!

The Ancient Key by jaybaus 2021-05-05T01:04:52Z

I had a huge grin on my face as soon as the game started, and very quickly I was laughing out loud! Thank you for this delightful experience!

BugDive by Tad I Guess 2021-04-29T15:29:37Z

I'd recommend something to make the interaction more interesting. Instead of clicking, which is boring, maybe you throw a net or something so you have to time your clicks in advance of where the bug is moving or something.

Nostril Navigator by Xenon27 2021-04-26T03:11:11Z

Hilarious! That sneeze sound at the end was so appropriately gross! I think the only thing I would suggest could be improved is the music could be a little more dynamic to match the gameplay. Great interpretation of the theme!

Abyss by BDenis 2021-05-06T12:51:52Z

Left mouse definitely didn't activate "hook mode." I had no idea what was going on or what to do.

Divide to go Deeper by JafCraze 2021-04-26T03:14:01Z

The transition animations are very cool! Too bad so few levels, but that last one took me a few tries!

Altum by Choppers 2021-04-26T04:25:34Z

Are you supposed to be able to grapple and pull the shuttle toward you? Cause I did, and then this happened:

error.PNG

Anyway, other than that, cool mechanics! Nice color scheme too! More sound would help with the mood.

Goblin Philosopher by Jibberwocky 2021-04-26T03:39:57Z

I love this idea and take on the theme! It's quite hilarious! It wasn't 100% obvious to me what to do though.

Deep Below Ground by v0idpointer 2021-04-27T11:59:41Z

Well done. I really appreciate the in-game tutorials! Sound was a little loud, but kudos for including sound effects. This is a fairly robust game!

Mullet Time by Lajbert 2021-04-27T11:46:38Z

Is there a way to retry without having to close and reopen the program? I do love the attention to detail with tutorial hints, and that kick was hilarious!

DangerCo by Salepate 2021-04-29T00:24:19Z

Well done! This was fun! I kinda ignored all the gold though and just B-lined to the empty rock covering the holes. Was there a reason you have an aim button separate from the throw button? Why not just one button?

Asterisk by Crychair 2021-05-05T23:22:08Z

The voice acting was top notch, but the sound effects and visual feedback/juice left much to be desired. That said, the graphics in general were exceptional! Well done!

A Deep Stare by Rushhourz 2021-04-26T01:16:31Z

@smt what a coincidence. Mine is also cookie-clicker inspired! @rushhourz this is pretty brilliant! Well done!

LLYULANG by Scienitive 2021-05-05T11:55:22Z

This was cool! Sound effects would have made it way more fun! I would also recommend not mapping non-directional actions to a traditionally directional key layout such as wasd. It keeps tricking me into thinking that melee is "forward" not "d" so whenever I'm facing left I try to press "a" to do melee.

Miner Rescue by mausimus 2021-04-26T03:01:24Z

Very cool! Love the look of it. Hitting a beam seems to happen sooner than you'd think. This takes some skill!

Hammer It In! by audioBusting 2021-04-27T00:20:22Z

haha, wow! Breaking the nail is actually quite infuriating! lol! Well done!

Pond-zi Scheme by Fatebreak 2021-04-26T03:22:52Z

Great interpretation of the theme! Very thorough instructions too! I would only change the graphics cause it's a little hard on the eyes, but well done!

Unto the Eight by Threeli 2021-04-27T11:53:20Z

This is very well made! I love the way the heat/fire works, but maybe it's a little fast to go out. Being able to hold a direction would be nice. Oh and the way the music changes to become eerie is a nice touch! Well done!

Be Queen by Cody Miner 2021-05-05T00:48:48Z

I like that it seems inspired by Joust, but it seems the enemies play by different rules than the player. It would be interesting to play this game where there is 1 character controller than both the player and the AI interface with so they are using the same mechanics, ie, rotate or not rotate, etc.

Into The Darkness by Ryan Romero 2021-04-27T00:30:47Z

Interesting idea. It seems the buying system lets you spend ashes you don't have. Some SFX would really juice it up!

Dig Deep Get Gold by Tim77 2021-04-29T19:22:14Z

I managed to get 40! This was really fun! I tried repeatedly! Very simply but very elegant!

Pimble! by PirateHearts 2021-04-26T03:26:11Z

This would make for a great mobile game! Well done! I love a good spin on a classic game!

Psychology of the Depths by saintchristopher777 2021-04-27T00:05:52Z

Great interpretation of the theme! I would have liked to hear some sound effects though, but the voice recording was a nice touch.

Through the Anthill by nessie 2021-05-03T03:02:47Z

Was the goal to collect all leaves? The map was a really nice touch!

More Bass! by Substr 2021-04-29T19:09:03Z

Not what I expected, but surprisingly fun! Could use a rhythm mechanic where you play specific bass lines and the better you click the correct buttons, the better the sound wave is at pushing those guitarists back.

Annoying falling game by TomH1 2021-04-27T20:54:20Z

It took after several tries on the last level before I realized you could press space to float/jump! lol! This could use more polish, but you are on to something here!
