Not gonna lie, I wasn't a fan of this one. All you do is cycle between clicking on 3 buttons. There is no challenge anywhere, at least as far as I played.

I get that the intent is to be something you come back to often, like a Tamagotchi right?
i like the style, but the game's really repetitive.
You know what, I liked this one. It's what it is yeah but... I don't know, something special about it
I was real close to calling it quits on this one but decided to give it a chance. So I left it on in the background and started browsing other games. Then I heard a sound and saw that my rock grew bigger. Then it needed some water. It was fun - as a background game. Is there a challenge? - No. But overall I thought it was a good effort and right on theme.
@blackopsben Yeah, the game is basically a Tamagotchi pet type of game.
nice lil tamagotchi-like. mine died :/ cool though!
I like the minimalistic art and the sound effects are also nice. Maybe give the player more indication on the progress.
I got a nice pink rock thanks !
Me and "Henk" (may s/he/it rest in peace) were an amazing duo. Henk grew up so fast. Such happy times we had together.
But then I went to grab a coffee, to my fault, and forgot about "henk" for a few minutes. He died, because I didn't water him that day. #emotional #sad
I like the idea of physically keeping something alive and this game totally fits the theme. It's really slow paced and little repetitive but still an interesting concept.
I did it, Dwayne the 3rd became an adult and a respected member of rock society (I assume)!
Dwayne #1 died immediately after I spammed everything on him repeatedly, after that I figured out that you were supposed to listen what your rock wants, which I did with Dayne #2. But I must have missed a cry for petting, because like his predecessor, Dwayne #2 died of loneliness.
So yeah, I think the tamagotchi idea is great for the Ludum Dare theme, it really is the basically THE keep it alive game if you think about it, so great job there. I liked the sound effects too, I think they worked well in distinguishing actions and letting you know what your little Mr. Johnson wants. Another thing I liked was the variety in rock evolutions, Dwayne #2 turned into a big pyramid-esque chunkster, while Dwayne #3 went for mass over style. So yeah, very cool overall!
I like it, a nice simplified Tamagotchi-style game! The sound for when you press a button genuinely made me jump the first time I heard it
