Your html link did not function properly for me
the html doesn't work
Screenshot look awesome, but the html link is broken. Have you set your game to public on ITCH?
Sadly the link does not work, leave a comment on my game when you fix it and I'll come back around!
Hey man, the link to your itch page is busted. If you want some help, shoot me a message and I'm more than happy to help out. The art looks too cool to pass up.
I would love to play but HTML faulty
From the screenshot and video it looks really fun but the HTML link doesnt work.
link does not work
Link broken. Let me know when working. ;)
Video looks good, but it looks like the itch page isn't published.
Seems like a fun)
@jbasinger jeez when I click the link it loads properly :S
the link is 404
@zonvoi @sacrface @croze @jbasinger @barelos @rickzyyt Sorry guys. The game was in draft mode. I left it public, you should be able to play it now.
Very nice game, My only issue is that I had to really try and read into the numbers to get a general understanding of what is going on. The premise is clear from the description and the controllers and what they do are very clear but it is hard to understand what are the consequences of your actions. That said I am amazed at the amount of work you were able to put into this, the music is great, calming and nice and the graphics are also very very nice.
My favourite game so far. Amazing art style and audio. Also very good mechanics. Great Submission overall!
it was really fun, i lost on year 96 LOL, i liked it!
I think overall the presentation and experience of the game was great! I had fun figuring things out the first minutes. I think the description in the beginning is helpful, but its hard to parse an entire paragraph. The game got a bit stale after a couple minutes, but overall I was very impressed!
Fun game and really nice artwork. I love the concept and would play this for hours.
Hotkeys? Rather then have to click the button at the bottom of the screen, can I just hit a button on the keyboard to start building food/wood/stone?
Need a bit more feedback. After two playthroughs, I'm still not sure exactly sure what the requirements are to advance the civilisation or grow the town.
@barelos Thank you. I really worked hard on it. The calculations under the hood and how to present the content and numbers to the player, giving feedback on the impact of the actions taken, was by far the hardest challenge and I know is the weakest point of Nature.
@thegamegoyal Thank you. I liked the art too.
@zonvoi Thank you. You almost made it. I haven't been able to finish the game on normal mode.
@bmo Thank you for the feedback. Yes I had a hard time trying to explain things to the players and I also felt the game got a stale after some minutes and kinda crazy at the end. I need to tweak some values to speed it up.
@sacrface Thanks. Hotkeys would be a great addition. I didn't think of it. I will add the requeriments to get expansions and advance in the stages to the main page. :love_letter:
such a strong entry, Did you play the music by yourself? Beautiful graphics
@tomeks Yes i made the music out a microphone and an acoustic guitar. layered 2 tracks and added a 3rd one with higher bass equalization. Thanks for playing :D!
@rjerez192 that's great, very catchy tune.
Very Nice, it's hard core
Thanks @dreamer
This game turned out pretty great, and I really enjoyed playing it!
This is one of the best ones I've tried so far. And it's so pretty. Would love some keyboard controls to go with it tho. Love the tooltips, makes the game really easy to pick up. I got modern age in 56 years :)
Nice game. Lots of fun to play.
@proshinyscarab thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
@thooom Thanks! I really believe the hotkeys are a great idea. I didn't have enough time to tweak time speed very well. I would like for player to get to modern on year 60+.
Really fun graphics + music. Placing the resources and watching them dwindle is satisfying too.
At first, I was intimidated because it looked complicated, but once I got into it I enjoyed it. (The tool tips helped a lot). It took me until year 80 to realize how the temperature worked though.
This is absolutely astonishing. I am amazed what you were able to create in 48 hours. There is everything - good sounds, good graphic, feedback of your actions, warnings, tool tips. Wow. :)
great game!
A bit hard to figure out numbers and mechanics, but overall - this is amazing! Sounds and graphics so smoooth and pleasing. Love how everything is animated. Nice job!
Lots and lots of visual polish on this one. Messing with the numbers until you get fun moments is quite difficult with a game like this, and you've done well so far!
Wow, amazing stuff! Great graphics and style. Great music. The gameplay is good, but starts off a bit slow. The resource usage and need could also be communicated better. Overall a very strong entry!
Nice I liked this game. Initially I lost because of food starvation and then I got the hang of it and survived for a long time. Good job :)
Really cool all that you packed in there! I enjoyed it and was able to last for a long time. I hit my guys with the big disease to slow down pollution and survived with only 6 people lol. I ended up losing because progress was too slow it said. Seemed weird because I made it to year 100, was that intended? Either way lots in there for a 48 hour jam!
Nice game. I like the animations and the art style. The gameplay is a bit slow at the start, and it's not always clear what should be done, but its fun to play if you keep going. Maybe a small tutorial could help?
@mikesalyh Thanks! The game isn't very hard and yeah some aspect need better explanaition. Will improve that in the future.
@snory Thanks I appreciate it. This is my first jam and I put all of me into it.
@doenerti Thank you!
@corporation Thanks for noticing the animations. Most of them are just scale X-Y transformations, but they seem to fit properly for the art style.
@jabdownsmash Yeah, the numbers was for sure the hardest part. I wan't to so bad to fix some parameters to improve the gameplay.
@munkkeli Thanks! At some point I thought on leaving the resoure consumption percentages visible to the player so it isn't necessary to move the mouse over and it seems I forgot to add it.
@kneehatgames Thanks!
@mailman If you saw that losing message it was because you reached year 100 but the civilization was not in the modern age. Anyways, nice job surviving that much. Thanks for playing :D!
@derkuchen Yes! I thought so much about adding a tutorial or giving the player the abilities in steps (lets say every 5 years unlock a new ability), yet I didn't the enough time to pull that out.
That was fun, the graphics are really clean!
Great work. I'm impressed with how feature rich the game is. The graphics are sweet and of course the music is solid. Tho I was waiting for the djent and growl to drop. ;)
I love it, I'm surprised you could do this just in the game jam, it's very fully featured.
Notes: * I couldn't motivate myself to read all the instructions until after I had played a while. I feel like adding the instructions into the game itself, when the new mechanics are unlocked, and having age objectives somewhere in the play area, would help a lot with learning the game.
Double post, sorry
That's a lot of mechanics to do in a single compo, congrats! It really feels like a full strategy game. The idea of having population control is new to me, and pretty interesting.
As feedback, I think you could keep the resources' %s on at all times, to see them quicker.
Html was working for me, fairly fun game, it was kinda hard for me to tell if I was progressing or not. It kinda felt like my job was to just put things down in big clumps and say good luck humans, maybe that's the norm for games like this, not really my thing but I still enjoyed it.
@joskerdu Jaja. I didn't have enough time to make the sounds, in fact I spent like 30 minutes between the theme and the sound effects. Thanks for playing!
@rrsmtz Thanks for the feeedback! Yeah I also believe those point will help a lot, among other variable changes like the pollution generated by latter stages and the speed of the game itself. Should have left more room for playtest.
@ironygames Thank you! I thought about that and forgot to add it xD
@rkuhl Thanks for the feedback! It have some problems of speed and difficulty in the later stages. I planned for a lot more things, like random earthquakes to struggle the players, however I left those out in order to polish other aspects of the game.
This was a really cool game. I music was soothing and the graphics were cute! I loved the over design and mechanics of the game. Well Done!
Simple the best! All in this game is perfect! Graphics, sound, concept, gameplay... I`d play this game for hours! congratulations!
Pretty cool, nice and simple art, but I think you can decrease the amount of tiles and make the arts bigger.
Nice little game! The music fits well with the content and the mechanics are clear. Overall a good entry, well done!
Overall it was a nice game, I really enjoyed making it very cold and then hot and then cold and then hot and then cold and then hot. Also killing people with the virus... Maybe im a little dark but that doesnt matter. Good job on the game!
Really relaxing game with some nice music and graphics. I had a little bit of trouble knowing what I was doing and when to do certain things, but i'm not very good at these types of games so that could just be me, but I think a little more guidance for at least the easy mode could help a lot.
Thanks everyone!
@bonyok77 That is actually a great idea. I have never found myself using all the tiles and it would add more difficulty while allowing the player to see the art better. Thank you so much for that idea!
@oceanm Yeah, I'm planning on doing that for a post-jam version. We'll see how it goes.
Really nice little game, the music is lovely and fits with the relaxed feeling of the game. As for how to improve the game, it would be cool if there was some sort of tutorial built into the beginning of the game so that you dont have to read to much at the beginning or learn through trial and error (like I did) lol x But great game, neat and smart! xx
I salute to you doing a strategy build up game during a game jam, must have been a pain to balance. Great entry :)
Very relaxing game! Interesting concept of a strategy game, it has great potential. Solid graphics and solid audio work.
I feel the only thing lacking is more content and stuff to do, but this is impressive given the short time
Overall, super well made game!
Super cute Concept, like it <3
Nice job! The feedback notifications warning me about certain stats helped a lot especially at the start when I didn't understand everything yet.
Thanks everyone!
I would prefer this particular option because it is related to nature. I love nature and for me it is a source of inspiration and strength. I recently learned about the problem of pests and their consequences for nature. Thanks to this source, https://merlinenvironmental.co.uk/pest-control/bebington/ I learned about methods of dealing with them, as well as preventing their occurrence.
