LD46 — Keep it alive

Keep it Alive by LooksLikeSomething 2020-04-20T16:42:53Z

It took me awhile to get a handle on pushing the fetus around, and the conditions for when I could and couldn't grow my force-field weren't made clear, but I think you have a solid game jam game.

Keep The Beat Alive! by Willops 2020-04-20T15:18:09Z

Like Alex said, sometimes it was hard to get a feel for the moment of attack. But I had an absolute blast and the concept is very well executed!

Keep The Beat Alive! by Willops 2020-04-20T18:43:39Z

@willops awesomesauce! I'll give it another go when I can :)

In the Valley of Souls Deluxe Edition by Syrapt0r 2020-04-20T18:42:23Z

Wow! This is an excellent product for a game jam, excellent re-use of assets, definitely deserves more attention.

Filicide by Artylo 2020-04-20T15:50:25Z

Very well executed! I did only play the original for the sake of LD and based my ratings on that, but it was still, overall a positive experience and thoroughly enjoyable despite the bug :)

Bubby by dnp 2020-04-20T02:50:44Z

There's an unintended side effect of your code where if you shove the box into bubby he will switch direction no matter what direction he's already facing, which makes for- while unintentional, pretty fun, new solutions to your puzzles that you may not have forseen.

Light in the Dark by SirTyler 2020-04-20T02:39:46Z

It was fun when it lasted, though creepy sound effects would very much help set the tone

Hacking is Probably Not Like This by sayumeki 2020-04-20T03:16:18Z

Wow! Very Well done! I applaud the effort put here

Feeding Time! by Drachmor 2020-04-20T03:29:08Z

Wonderful game, it was super fun to play, especially when using the milk as a jump booster

Soulbound by Fenderbate 2020-04-21T17:31:23Z

What a fantastic game! Well polished, tight controls and beautiful graphics. Hard but not frustrating, a very much job well done

K33P1T4L1V3 by alininavcisi 2020-04-20T16:19:59Z

I adore the puzzling to be done, the game constraints are very well thought out, and it's generally phenomenal for a game made in 48 hours. But as everyone else has said, adding tab to switch spaces would be a great addition

HiJinx by DarriasArt 2020-04-20T15:31:25Z

There's a little bit of a delay when starting the run and when the running animation starts. This is usually because the animation transition has "Has Exit time" check marked! That might help make your controls feel more snappy. Cute artwork and background music :)

Tama-Gotcha! by JasonD 2020-04-21T04:52:44Z

I loved this! I very much enjoy the effort you guys put into this, the heat balancing system was very well thought out. I just wish i could drag the cherry over to the little guy instead of simply clicking it is all O.O

souvenirs by SoarenDev 2020-04-20T20:39:18Z

There are a number of typos but it is a great interpretation of the subject. I enjoy the tone you set and the simplicity of the game!

Protect The Artifact by WillyPa 2020-04-20T15:10:40Z

I didn't even know there was a boost and made it to 300 before closing the game. Maybe the enemies should get faster as time goes on, too. It's a good start but it seems everyone's already covered the important stuff

Protect The King by Schwarcraft 2020-04-20T20:27:31Z

Yes! Diagonal charging would make the game that much better. It's a fantastic short game and I love the pixelart. I might lower the difficulty curve though, because it got way hard way fast. Or maybe I just need to git gud

Your html link did not function properly for me

Planet Sitter: The Galactic Inquest by Eckkert 2020-04-21T04:08:59Z

I had fun playing it while it lasted! 2/3 of my planets were enlightened. However, I couldn't tell if I was actually effecting anything by unloading cargo. I saw the meter slightly increase, but it kinda felt like everything on the planets just kind of happened on its own and that I didn't do much to actually progress them.

Pub Crawl by BMo 2020-04-20T03:45:57Z

I enjoyed my time! Though It'd be nice if the player were faster. And there was also one point where i had -$6 in my account if that's a *bug* (hah)

Social Life by CharlieGray 2020-04-20T02:30:38Z

Thoroughly enjoyed the game, and the music was very nicely relaxing

Haiku, and the Mother Virus by Mister Morris Games 2020-04-20T14:53:22Z

Very well done! Loved the visuals. Perhaps the enemies should come in waves with pauses in between? With each wave having more enemies than the last. Because for me it got to the point where I could just camp at the mother virus switching back and forth between directions without any repercussions, but moving would've likely gotten me killed. I reached 430 seconds with this before letting her die to see what would happen, a difficulty curve like a wave system would likely end the camping issue.

Josh Dumb by Catalystl 2020-04-21T05:37:12Z

Yes, a fantastic gamejam game! I wasn't able to beat level 9 because I'm bad but this is the first entry that I'm definitely revisiting, kudos to your awesome level design and humor

Keep it burning ! by Xentiie 2020-04-20T16:58:35Z

The fact that you have it set to show the fire when it's offscreen was ingenious. I didn't realize you could hold multiple things until I thought to myself "gee this sure would be easier if I could do that, and then tried it. I think you should make that a little clearer!

Human Apocalypse by Fathy Basha 2020-04-20T16:38:20Z

There's this bug where you can trigger events twice by walking through a door again, and the text on the title screen is hard to read on account of the lack of contrast, but the animation on the characters was phenomenal and made my pixel-eye very very happy

Solar Spin by Matt Burton 2020-04-20T15:57:21Z

It was a pleasant ride, I very much enjoyed the aesthetic and the timing-intensive gameplay!

Oregano Thanks by veesus mikel heir 2020-04-20T04:03:00Z

Definitely one of the most fun games I've played on Lumin Dare 46. The graphics are low-budget but that adds to the charm and all in all it was a fun experience and a half

Stress Ball by Sinamon 2020-04-20T17:16:28Z

Good concept, though the lack of ability to move when jumping and relying solely on momentum makes it a little frustrating to jump over things
