Really nice game, good take on the theme too.

johnjoemcbob 2020-04-20 09:42

Love it! Was worried I'd need to understand ciphers to play.. But it's a great way of handling it, and the presentation is great

very interesting concept. and I love the very good paper's please vibe.

the game is quite hard, and a deeper tutorial would not hurt this game.

👍nice job

I love the game! I was expecting to do some math since you mentioned deciphering.. but turns out that counting letters is hard enough. I wonder what "party" means in this context.. ;)

fenerax 2020-04-20 09:49

Really interesting take on the theme. Something a bit different to a lot of the other games.

alininavcisi 2020-04-20 09:50

Thanks for your comments.

@brian-teng the party means your teammates in mission :)

goldenevolution 2020-04-20 09:51

Interesting puzzle game, took a bit before I initially found out what to do which was totally my own fault.

rakowu 2020-04-20 09:52

"Eat ape pie" i nailed it xD

Amazing game, from menu to music to the gameplay, it's all good. Felt like playing papers please :P Playing until the end gets quite repetitive after first two days, but that's the common in literally every compo game, we don't have much time to add that much content in two days :) Would like to see a post-compo version

thejonu 2020-04-20 10:20

Interesting game. I like the overall look, animations and sound. It took me a while to figure out what kind of ciphering is meant (but I'm not sure even at this point). As for gameplay, the first day was a nice introduction, but I became a bit bored at the very start because of how much time it took to fill out the gaps. I think you could greatly improve the game by putting the word list beside the protocols, so that we wouldn't have to move it back and forth all the time. But that could as well be intentional so that we would have to memorize the protocols, is it? What would be useful is a key to select the next gap (Tab for example). Other aspects of the game could also be transferred to keyboard input, so that you don't have to change between writing and using the mouse. The word-puzzle aspect of the game is really interesting and original, I liked it.

Super cool, I love this kind of Genre <3

Nice take on papers please and a really creative take on the theme. At first the ciphers where a bit hard to understand but it explains it self as you go along.

ole-andreas 2020-04-20 12:22

Great game! Love the concept.

There could maybe have been some more indications in the tutorial, and the game moving from day to day on it's own.

jeremyfa 2020-04-20 12:32

It definitely got some Papers Please vibes, in a more happy way maybe, with the music and so ;) Looks neat and well executed, even though it's not so easy to understand what we have to do with the ciphers. Nice entry!

pronomicalartist 2020-04-20 12:33

Very cool game, was confused in the beginning until i read the others comments. You just pick words that are on the cipher list. They don't need any order. Just the ones that fit the requirements. I had fun.

bjornkri 2020-04-20 12:33

Nice idea, would like to see this expanded on further

connorthompson 2020-04-20 12:35

Great work as someone previously said, some big papers please vibes here but I love the cipher work, a really underutilized idea in games

benbonk 2020-04-20 12:41

Totally my kind of game. Very interesting take on the theme and I love the papers please/decryption kind of feeling. The game did feel a little repetitive after awhile but still overall very good job.

adamwatters 2020-04-20 12:49

It's a great little puzzle game, probably one of the best LD games I've rated so far. The only minor issues are that I think the tutorial could be made a bit better. It can feel unlear as to what you're supposed to do at first. I also found it kind of annoying to keep clicking on the different text boxes (although it probably would have taken too much time to fix).

cirno 2020-04-20 13:13

Smooth and nice graphics. The gameplay is simple but the rules become more difficult when they start to constraint each other. That's a nice idea.

seagull 2020-04-20 13:28

Gives "papers please" vibes. Liked the sounds, and physicality of items. That the cipher is covering the protocol, and you have to keep protocol memorised.

Sometimes it was hard to understand what to do. Especially in the beginning, it wasn't obvious that you just have to type any word.. Even though there was an explanation :)

Feedback: making `Tab` go to the next word would be nice. Would give natural typing experience.

munkkeli 2020-04-20 15:40

Nice game, giving me a lot of Papers Please vibes, in a good way. Sound is a bit harsh on the ears though.

courtmac 2020-04-20 16:19

I adore the puzzling to be done, the game constraints are very well thought out, and it's generally phenomenal for a game made in 48 hours. But as everyone else has said, adding tab to switch spaces would be a great addition

belea 2020-04-20 17:48

Really nice idea and well executed. You made a great game. I really enjoy the papers please vibes :)

gideonnf 2020-04-21 01:45

Very nice game, I really like the art style. Like some that has mentioned before, it has "papers please" vibes which is really nice. Great game overall!
