Keep Clam Stary Home by Seagull 2020-04-20T11:52:29Z
Just discovered that uploaded an old version, with broken "death" mechanics. So, pushed a new one. Now you actually can lose! :)

@stefanie-leitch @thx4nothing Thank you for the feedback!
Actually run sequences were supposed to have bonuses on the road to incentivise moving. And i thought of making them faster / tougher over time but didn't had enough time for that. :disappointed:
Also plan was to make you hungry / or randomly injure yourself at home, to make push you out of home, but again..
Still quite happy with the jam, as it's my first one.
Will do a postmortem later on, maybe a blog post.
@danielrmorgan Thanks! Art is nowhere near my strong point. :) But I found https://www.piskelapp.com/p/create to be very easy to use and intuitive. It helped a lot!
@mimusangel Merci!
@galgris Also some animations would be nice :)
@joonamo I was planning to add collectables on the road, but didn't manage to do it on time.
@matt2728 @fakefrogsonly @cjgammon Thank you for the feedback!
I really wish I can polish it a bit more. Will probably do it over the week, and post it separately as a blog post.
Nice little game. Music is cool. Sad I can't rate it. Is it an external asset?
Inertia is rally making stuff complicated, but it's only better. Liked the wrapping and that you can shoot the cargo.
Pressing `F`. Paying respect :tophat:
I liked the enemies, and the text. Super cool take on the theme :)
As a feedback I'd love to see resources more clearly, and maybe somehow highlight building spots and the road. It was all a bit the same to me, and hard to understand how enemies will move and where can I build.
Hey, @fakefrogsonly! I have played your game. It's simple and nice, loved it. Recoil is nice, and an external soul follwing you steps makes it an interesting.
It feels to me, like stones are more likely to spawn if I kill ghosts close to me, but maybe that's just random.
Anyway, great little game! Well done!
Wow, nice one! Once I realise that you can push the king it was an easy game :) Drag sometimes does not work when you are dragging offscreen.
Didn't quite get the math behind the battle. I think it's "more troops win with less casaulties", but sometimes 32 vs 32 gives like 20, and sometimes 10..
I like the whole hacking idea, terminals, menus, comms. So much flavour is in there. Will return to the game later, once I've slept :)
Haven't played Animal crossing, but I expect it to be something "cute/casual". Liked the font in the "win screen". Gameplay does not have a lot of variety, maybe an enemy or two would be good.
Same here. Maybe statuses are switching too fast? Also some feedback on action would be appreciated.
Feeding people to the DARK GOD? I'm in!
Liked the game!
Feedback: There is some problem with controls, when you try to sacrifice someone. It requires you to put him from the correct place. It seems I can be blocked out in money / notoriety zone. It's reaaaly hard to balance money. At some point I just got tooo many cultists doing nothing, imo they and spawning a tad too fast.
Cute little game. Like the death animations and sounds.
Is it ok that line drawn disappears at some point?
Really nice graphics!
Also quite liked the menu.
For some reason my star is shrinking even though I consume other stars. Is it because they are with spikes or something? Also it shrinks very fast while idle.
@curiouslycory :face_palm: I just understood why so many people were using the Pennywise!
Regarding the game! Like the sound, nice graphics and traps. My only concern is that sometimes controls do not work.
So I can't turn around or can't move. Maybe a bug of some sort?
@fammy wasd was working partially. So, I could only go down and right.
Arrows worked fine, but spacebar was not working half the time.
PRO: Like the idea with the flashlight. Nice control guide.
CONS: Sometimes enemies spawn too close to react.
Nice little game! Successfully finished! :)
Took some time to understand the controls . Thought it expects a joystick. Liked the graphics. Cons: A bit hard to see your character.
Also, it's probably a good idea to create a shortcut from the last screen to the initial one. Will eliminate the backtracking, and make game better.
Q: Was it possible to open the white door?
Gives "papers please" vibes. Liked the sounds, and physicality of items. That the cipher is covering the protocol, and you have to keep protocol memorised.
Sometimes it was hard to understand what to do. Especially in the beginning, it wasn't obvious that you just have to type any word.. Even though there was an explanation :)
Feedback: making `Tab` go to the next word would be nice. Would give natural typing experience.
I really liked the game. My main concern is, that it's quite slow. I didn't finish it, but first couple of days I seemed to succesfully fill the quota with no incidents, and unless it's getting more complicated as the time goes by it's relatively simple. Required some reading through the manual, but after that, smooth sail.
Which is good, I guess, taking into account that this is a freaking reactor! :)
Couldn't pass the game that has this name :D Nice simple game. Like the music and sounds.
To be honest, I wouldn't consider it a game. It's an interesting thing, but I didn't found it fun or engaging. Maybe I just need sleep..
`(Heavily inspired by FTL :))`
Oh yes! I felt the FTL vibes right from the screenshot. Good job!
Nice concept, but a bit repetitve. Maybe make ship smaller, and make the game faster?
Sometimes If the breach is close to the button you keeps opening and closing the door. Even if you are not directly touching the button (i.e. button gets trigerred up to 2 cells away, or around the corner.)
Nice game! I like the minimap showing you what's happening. And the need to press towards the big spawner faaar away from the heart makes it an interesting gameplay choice.
Do you play tower defence, or you play tower offense :)
Well done! Congrats on finishing the Jam.
+1 to the gentlemen above!
Please explain how to play, at least in the description.
Nice game. Well done :) Liked the graphics!
Minor feedback: It's hard to understand what's going on off-screen. Maybe an arrow pointing to the queen and enemies would be helpful.
His puppy fell down the hole and bod didn't care! Killed him right after that :imp:
Jokes aside, loved the graphics and sound. Some traps are not easily telegraphed so it takes trial and error to understand what to do.
It wasn't intuitive that I should keep the lid instead of plucking the hole.
I don't understand how to run it :(
Nice little game. Liked the art style.
Feedback: 1. Maybe asteroids should disappear / bounce of the shield. Otherwise sometimes shielding is not enough. 2. Maybe them more visible. Now they are easily lost in the background.
Nice game. Liked the way they move and surround you. People are scary!
Webgl version is getting unresponsive sometimes. Got this after trying to start from the tutorial. Maybe related to scene change.

Congrats on finishing the jam. Graphics looks cool and old-stylish, I like the starfall animation. Making it in `C` is another achievement, I'd say!
Web version seems to be hard to control. Sometimes it does not shoot, sometimes you can get stuck somewhere.
Ahahaha! Never expected to see a walking Keep! Good job!
It feels like turtling / standing is too slow, so not sure it's worth it. But by the time you stand up catapults are shooting again. So you are damaged approx the same no matter what you do. So, maybe make them shoot slower, (but do more damage) that it's possible to mitigate it by defending.
Can you build a web version please? :) For those of us, who have no Windows.
@team-prosit Yes, you can port even after the submission hours. Just can't add any features.
Awesome! That synth wave and neon colors! Reminds me of hotline Miami.
Wel done, sir!
Really liked the graphics and bouncy movements. Fire is very picky! :)
Controls take time to learn, and it's complicated to cook stuff. A lot of inventory manipulations. Maybe can be a bit streamlined.
Liked the fact birdie can fly away. Stupid chick! :joy:
You can hit the ceiling. Feels a bit off. Also, colliders on enemies and walls are a bit too big.
Still, good job for your first LD, and congrats on finishing it!
Saved the puppy! Like the idea, music and flavour texts.
Feedback.
1. Magnet section is cool with the inertion, but I'd make a time limit or something. Now best way to play is slow and careful, which sounds logical but it's not that fun. 2. Somehow I got negative comfort on the second stage.
Screenshot 2020-04-20 at 14.58.09.png
Good game! Loved the graphics. Liked how you can actually punch the UFO into each other. Somehow killed the big one, but not from the first punch. Awesome!
Controls feel wonky, I was also getting stuck in the corner couple of times.
Nice lil game. Green viruses are so hectic!
Graphics look really cool. Like the banter with the operator. Controls are a bit wonky :( I got stuck in the textures couple times.
I think I found the reactor, but didn't understand what to do next.
Also, got stuck on this screen with no way out.Screenshot 2020-04-20 at 15.49.37.png
Congratulations on finishing the Jam! Nice game and nice theme!
Like the graphics and static camera view.
Controls feel a little off, it's really hard to walk.
Like the suspense, and that zombies does not kill her immediately. Controls feels a bit off, but that adds difficulty. Starting menu is really cool.
Nice simple game. It moves very fast, which is good, I guess. Killed it once, ignored fun completely on the second play through. It seems fun does not matter. Really liked the graphics and the sound, and how everything was animated! Well done!
Really cool idea! Like the balancing. I like the fact that you can actually use your body to stop explosives, and that they bounce you around the map.
